Prompt: Seido finds out Sawamura's middle school history.

In Miyuki's room, it just came up in conversation one day...

Everyone was reminiscing about their middle school experience...everyone except Miyuki and Sawamura.

When asked, Miyuki fake smiles to hide the pain of just remembering, "Well...it was fine. But it's probably not as interesting as Sawamura's!"

"Oi!" Sawamura yells, "What are you picking on me for, Miyuki Kazuya!?"

"Because you're fun~ to tease Sawamura!"

"Jerk!"

After much convincing from the others, Sawamura sighs, running a hand through his hair as he relents, "...fine. I'll tell you guys...but whatever happens in Miyuki's room stays in Miyuki's room. Got it?"

They all nod.

He mutters, "Otherwise I would never tell anyone in Seido this..."

Taking a deep breath to calm himself, he starts speaking, "I created my middle school team. Was the Captain and Ace...if only because I was the only pitcher on the team. My friends were amateurs, and we only played for fun until our third year."

"Do you know why I'm so good at bunting?" He suddenly asks.

Harucchi answers, "Because your coach taught you?"

Sawamura made an X with his arms, "Nope! I taught myself through trial and error. My team didn't have a coach, just an advisor. I'm self-taught and so was my entire team."

'Self-taught?!'

"As Captain, I had to train my own teammates individually just so we'd be able to play. I barely had time to study."

"How far did your team go in the summer tournament then?"

Sawamura smiles, "We lost every single game of the season."

'Huh?!'

"How...how are you still-?" 'So cheerful?'

"I had to smile through it, be strong for the team as Ace and Captain. Especially since I was the one that dragged them into it in the first place. And I never got angry at them for fielding errors or batting since doing that won't help anyone. I'd rather encourage them to do better."

He shakes his head, smiling, "Honestly, I was just happy playing baseball."

'Damn! He's so pure!'

"And then... I ended up crying after we lost our last game since I wanted to drag my teammates to Koshien. The other team though..." he shakes his head, growling just thinking about them, "They ridiculed my teammates, and I wanted them to shut up so..."

"So...?"

"I slapped the hell out of them."

"You slapped...an entire baseball team?"

"And maybe the umpire that tried to break it up," Sawamura shrugs, "Which ended in me being rejected out after the game was already over. I don't regret it though."

His eyes narrow, complaining, "Really...they should've just, I don't know, waited until after we left to say those rude things, but no~! They just had to say it to our faces, in front of me! They're just lucky I controlled myself enough that it didn't turn into a fistfight!"

After calming himself down with a pocari, he ends it off, "That's how I got scouted, actually..."

"Really?" They shake their heads at the ridiculousness.

"I didn't want to go to Seido at first...especially after seeing Azuma-senpai bully Nori-senpai but..." he grumbles, "Miyuki Kazuya changed my mind."

"Huh..." Miyuki blinks, a bit in awe at the effect he has on Sawamura.

Looking at the time, Sawamura gets up, stretching out his arms, "Well... This Sawamura Eijun is going to bed. Good night!"

"Good night!" Everyone else blankly responds as Sawamura escapes the room.

As soon as he left, everyone sighs, slumping onto things (and the floor), a bit overwhelmed by Sawamura's story.

They all agree to treat Sawamura a bit better from now on...and maybe get him to teach them how to bunt properly. Hopefully, that'll end well, with as few headaches as possible.
