We have now reached our 10-chapter mark! Thank you all so much! (Don't worry. There are more chapters ahead.) My story has also reached over 4,000 views! *Screams internally*. Shoutout to ramencat67 for being the only one to review my last chapter. A quick reminder that just one review of each chapter doesn't take a lot of time, but makes me SUPER happy! So... please review! Anyway, for those of you who realized that I didn't mention the part where Venus tells Reyna that no demigod shall heal her heart, no, I did not forget about that little detail and will try to find a way to put it in this story. If not, fanfiction is fanfiction, and not everything has to make sense. Sorry for the long note. On with the chapter! (Disclaimer: All rights to Rick Riordan!)

Reyna's POV

Reyna sat, stunned at the conversation she had just shared with the one and only Venus. What did the goddess mean when she said that Reyna may not be able to keep her promise? Honestly, Reyna didn't want to figure it out. But, whatever Venus did mean, Reyna was determined to prove the love goddess wrong.

Was that possible? She didn't really know, but if she was the first to try, then so be it. Reyna was set on keeping her own promise that she had made. The promise that she would never fall in love again. Love only left her alone, and Reyna did not want to repeat the past. The past with Jason.

Reyna's mind went to Jason. Then, Percy. She mentally scolded herself. Then, her thoughts went back to her conversation with Venus. Why would the goddess bring up Percy? Then it clicked in her mind. She realized why she would bring up Percy in that conversation. Reyna's stomach churned.

No, no, no, no, no! I can't fall for Perseus! He has a girlfriend! She thought. Then, a terrifying memory entered Reyna's mind. We kissed! Twice! And I made the first move on one of those kisses!

She wanted to kick herself for being so childish. Especially because Reyna was potentially breaking her own promise. And because Annabeth might figure out.

Finally, Reyna consoled herself. You are Reyna Avila Ramirez Arellano, praetor of the Twelfth Legion. You don't freak out.

She plastered on a semi-fake confident expression and exited the Principia. She blinked and shaded her eyes from the nearly blinding sun. It was a hot, sunny day in San Fransisco, but it was peaceful. Most of the Legion would be going through their regular training and camp activities at this point in the afternoon.

Reyna briskly walked towards the fighting arena, armor glistening in the sun. Practicing self-defense always cleared her stormy mind. Just then, a hand grabbed her shoulder, giving herself that tingle down her spine that she hated and loved at the same time. She turned to see the one person she didn't want to see. Perseus Jackson looked at her with those sea-green eyes, shining brighter than usual in the afternoon sun.

"Hey, I-," he started, but Reyna cut him off.

"PercyIhavetotalktoyou," she mumbled out in one long word.

"What?" Percy said.

Reyna took a deep breath. She had to get this off her chest. "I have to talk to you."

Percy looked concerned. "What's up?"

"About this morning..." Reyna's voice trailed off. Percy's expression changed. His worried look was replaced by a small smile.

"What about it?" He asked.

"I am extremely sorry for... for kissing you," came Reyna's reply. '"It was super, well, dumb of me."

Percy's grin softened into an empathetic smile. "Don't be sorry, Reyna. I am the one that should be sorry after I tripped you. Especially because I promised I wouldn't do anything uncalled for."

"Would you stop taking the blame? I'm the one in the wrong here! You have no faults," Reyna said.

Percy held up his hands in surrender. "Well, I just want to say this." He hesitated. "I didn't not enjoy it."

"Enjoy what? The kiss or the combat training?"

"Both?" Percy said, making it sound like more of a question than an answer. He rubbed the back of his neck, a little habit that Reyna noticed. Percy did this whenever he was anxious. "Both, I guess."

Reyna was stunned. She never expected this from Percy. She forced herself not to blush. "Um..." Reyna said, very awkwardly. Then she said what was truly on her mind since that morning. What she had been wanting to say all day long. "I sort of... enjoyed it t-too."

"The kiss or the combat training?" Percy teased.

"Both, I guess," Reyna sighed. "Percy, no one is to hear of this. OK?"

Percy smiled his stunning smile. Reyna hated to admit it, but it made her mentally swoon. "My lips are sealed," he said as he started to walk backward. "See you at dinner?"

Reyna nodded, grateful that that conversation had not turned out to be a disaster. Once Percy was fully out of sight, Reyna proceeded to head towards the fighting arena, checking up on various legionnaires as she went. Once she knew that she was getting near the arena, Reyna's mind turned to what Percy had said. I didn't not enjoy it.

Oh, Percy, why do you do this to me? I think Venus might be right, Reyna thought. As much as I hate it, I think she's right.

Jason's POV

It was really odd, not seeing Reyna for what felt like forever. In a way, it was forever, considering that Jason had his memory wiped by the goddess, Juno. (Or Hera, whatever you prefer.) He hated to say it, but in a way, having his memory gone, might have been a little bit of a blessing, in Jason's case, anyway.

If his memory hadn't been wiped, he probably wouldn't have started dating Piper Mclean. He would've felt too guilty if he had remembered Reyna. Especially after she had poured out her feelings to him. The fact that Reyna had liked him, and maybe still did, was enough to make Jason feel bad for showing up suddenly with Piper by his side. What made his guilt worse was what Percy said that morning. When Percy had blamed Jason for leaving Reyna alone with the full responsibilities of a demigod camp on her shoulders.

Piper tried her best to reassure Jason that this wasn't his fault, it was Hera's, really. Jason tried to believe her. Even Annabeth had come to talk to Jason to tell him that Percy knew that what he had said about Jason was wrong. That made Jason feel only slightly better.

It was three in the afternoon, and Jason was talking to Piper in the fighting arena. They were sitting on one of the benches surrounding the arena, taking a break. After dueling for so long, they were quite thirsty.

Jason had suggested that they go on a walk around New Rome so that he could show her the town, but Piper insisted that they train instead. She had said that three weeks were gonna pass by quickly, and they needed to get in lots of training while they could. But she did promise Jason that he could show her New Rome the next day. Jason finally agreed to duel Piper in the Arena.

"This is a really nice camp," Piper said, setting down her water. The indigenous girl's color-changing eyes gleamed in the sun. Jason adored those eyes.

"Yeah," Jason said. "It really is. So is Camp Half-Blood." He sighed. "I just really don't know where I belong anymore."

"You belong wherever your heart tells you to go. And I know that sounds really cliche and cringy, but it's true. Wherever you end up, I'll support you. And something tells me that when we get out of this war, you'll know what to do."

Jason knew he didn't deserve a girl like her. She was the sweetest person on the planet. He also appreciated the fact that she said when we get out of this war and not if we get out of this war.

"Thanks. You're an amazing girlfriend. You know that, right?" Jason said.

"What are girlfriends for, If not to make their boyfriend's life easier?" Piper teased.

Jason grinned. "Back to dueling?" He asked

Piper stood up, with her dagger, Katoptris drawn. It wasn't the best weapon for dueling with, especially because of its size, but it worked for Piper. "Ready when you are."

This chapter had a little bit of Jason in it, but just a reminder that characters other than Reyna and Percy will not have many POVs in this story. It'll be mainly just Reyna and Percy's POVs. Anyway, thanks for reading! Make sure that you review it! If you have nothing to review, tell me your favorite ship in the whole Riordanverse. It can be a canon or non-canon ship. (Canon ship Ex: Percabeth. Non-canon EX: Preyna.) Love yall!
