Donald Duck was panting his beak off. It had been three days since he stayed in Brazil to give his girlfriend Daisy Duck and their new friend Cy-Rat a chance to leave for Duckberg. He was doing it because sea monster pirates had been sent to find his nephews Huey, Dewey and Louie Duck and bring them to their commander-in-chief, who was non-other than their own father Daniel Beakship.

Daniel Beakship used to be in the United States Air Force and that was where he met his twin sister Della when she was a recruit herself there and they started a relationship together. Ever since they ended it after three years due to lack of commitment for each other and different ambitions, Daniel joined the Sea Monster Pirate Navy, starting a simple seaman to and becoming their admiral, second only to Lady Bonnie, a piranha who was a sorceress that could not only breathe out of water but fly in mid-air as well. Daniel and Bonnie needed his sons for a plan and Donald knew nothing about it except that it wouldn't be good at all, especially since he had never seen them ever in his life; he hadn't even been there for them when their eggs were laid, let alone when they hatched from them. Donald was even surprised how Daniel knew they even existed at all, unless, of course, his magical piranha sorceress that he served had something to do with it. Donald never really liked Daniel, even when Della dated him. He was always thought he was arrogant and up his own duck tail. He was so relieved when Della broke up with him, though he still wondered why it took her so long to dump him and he never forgot how upset she was when she had to dump him. When he and Daisy were captured by the sea monster pirates and were brought to Daniel and Bonnie days ago, demanding where his sons were, Donald learnt that he hadn't changed at all.

Donald and Daisy managed to escape the evil sea monster pirate army, thanks to Cy-Rat, but they learned more sea monster pirates had been sent to find them and get them to tell them where the sons of Admiral Beakship were when they spotted them at their five-star hotel in Recife. Donald volunteered to stay behind to so Daisy and Cy-Rat could get to Duckberg safely to warn Huey, Dewey and Louie and the rest of his family about Daniel and protect them from him and his evil sea friends.

For the last three days, Donald had been running from Recife to Rio De Janeiro to track down every sea monster pirate and make sure that they couldn't leave for Duckberg so his family could be safe. He had also been hiding in the shadows of everywhere he went while he stopped them. He would trick them and lure them into traps, like getting them to fall into crates and having them put onto ships that would sail to anywhere except Duckberg or anywhere near it at every harbor that he passed by, or getting them to fall into very deep sand holes on beaches that he dug himself, or getting them to climb up very high trees and trapped on the very highest branches or taking them into very tall, abandoned buildings and lose them in them. He managed to succeed because of the dummy versions that he made of his nephews himself to use as bait for the sea monster pirates.

Donald thought that he was doing very well for three days, but he didn't know how much longer he could keep it up. Whenever he felt like he was going to give up completely, the thought of his own life and the lives of his family being in trouble was enough motivation for him to keep it up.

Today, Donald was hiding in one of the empty wooden crates in a harbor in Rio De Janeiro (not the Guanabara Bay). He was looking out for more sea monster pirates.

"Uncle Donald?"

To Donald, that sounded like his nephew Dewey.

"Uncle Donald?"

That sounded like his nephew Huey.

Donald turned and he was shocked at what he saw. What he thought he saw was his family walking in the harbor and calling for him. There was his nephews Huey, Dewey, Louie, his sister Della, his uncle Scrooge, his girlfriend Daisy, Webby Vanderquack and Scrooge's other pilot Launchpad McQuack.

"Donald, where are you?" Daisy asked.

Donald looked inside the crate he was in and checked his dummy versions of his nephews were still with him in case some sea monster pirates took them when he wasn't looking and his family was a trap from his enemies. He looked at his family again and closer this time. They looked very real to him. He decided to get out of the crate and walk towards them, but he did slowly in case this was a trap.

Then Donald stopped moving when something took over him and he was pushed to the ground. He found himself in a fishing net and surrounded by sea monster pirates.

"Why, Donald, don't you want to see your family?" mocked one of the pirates.

Donald saw his family approach the sea monster pirates and saw them stay still after that. "They're not my family!" he protested. "If they were here, they would be fighting you and rescuing me instead of just standing them." Then he saw he was right about his family when they just vanished.

"I can see you're clever to notice they were just magical copies of your family," one of the pirates said.

"But not clever enough to avoid the fishing net you're in," another pirate mocked.

"Well, no one's clever at everything," a third pirate said.

Everyone just looked at him. Then Donald angrily wriggled and quacked as he tried to get out of the net. Then he stopped as he was picked up by two of the pirates.

"Don't waste your time and energy, Duck," said the leader of the pirate squad. "You will need it when you watch us and the rest of our navy find your nephews and all of your family and then watch them –"

He didn't finish because he started to dance.

Then Donald was dropped. He looked ahead to see all the sea monster pirates dance just like their leader. Then they started to dance away from him. He saw who was making them dance. It was a figure wearing a black cloak and hood and it had a musical instrument. It looked like a strange flute made of seashells and coral sticking out of the hood and yellow gloves were playing it. That must have been how the pirates were dancing and following the figure.

Donald saw the figure continued to play the music to make the sea monster pirates follow it to a giant water tank. The figure continued to play the music and made the pirates walk up a large wooden plank and then fall into the water tank. When the figure finally stopped playing, the pirates got out of that musical spell and back to reality. They were shocked when they found themselves in a giant water tank and it was being closed up on a lid and pushed it into a giant wooden crate by the hooded figure before it was lifted up onto a cargo ship.

When Donald saw the hooded figure approaching him, all the trapped duck could do was gulp and pray.
