Despite the success of Cy-Toad and her pet army trapping those Earth Monsters in the hole they created for them, the loud cries at the village not only continued but got louder and they knew that they had to act fast.
When they stepped out of the forest, they were shocked when they saw the rest of the Earth Army attacking the small village. There were only a few stone-brick built houses, no more than ten at the most, but all of them were burning as big as massive wildfires. They saw every villager, which were animals of all kinds and sizes and very few, being captured by the Earth Army.
"Come on, guys," Cy-Toad said to the pets. "Let's go and save those villagers."
They charged for the Earth Monsters, who had finished capturing the poor defenceless villagers, cuffed them up and put them into the heart of the burning village. They didn't stop running until they heard a laugh. It was a very loud and demonic type of laugh.
"Quick, behind the bush, guys," Cy-Toad whispered to the pets, as she escorted them to hide behind it. They looked through it to see if the Earth Army spotted them, which they didn't because they were looking around as if even that loud demonic laugh scared them as well as their captured villagers. Then there came loud stomping noises.
Cy-Toad and the pets gasped when they saw where that loud demonic laugh and the loud stomping noises were coming from. It came from a figure that emerged out of the tall trees behind the burning village. It was a dark cloak with a terrifying skull that no one could work out which animal it once was, though Cy-Toad thought it looked very much like a buffalo's skull. As if that wasn't scary enough, it had glowing red eyes.
Despite the Earth Army shaking in fear at the look of this new figure, Cy-Toad still didn't feel like she could trust it in case it was a trick from the Earth Army and they were acting scared.
"Leave now or be struck down!" Its female voice was just as scary as its skull and red eyes.
But the Earth Army just laughed and they laughed mockingly.
"Oh, please, Scary Goddess!" the leader of the Earth Army, a tall tree, said sarcastically. "You said that the last seventeen times before. You don't have anything new?"
"Do not tempt me!" the scary figure warned, revealing its strong metal hands and tightening them into fists.
"We will tempt you! Come on! Give us your best shot!"
The scary figure ran to them and tried to smack the Earth Army down. The Earth Army moved out of the way to avoid the figure's fist, but they hardly needed to move because the figure could barely reach them and they looked smug about it.
The figure went in for another attack, but the Earth Army dodged the attack. The figure prepared for another try, but some of the Earth Soldiers pushed it down.
"Make it join the villagers!" the tree leader ordered.
His soldiers obeyed. No matter how hard the figure tried to get up and stop the Earth Soldiers chaining it up and taking it to join the other prisoners, it just couldn't.
"How does it feel that you can't even help yourself any more than you can help your friends?" the tree leader teased.
"Your new prisoner does have help! And that help is us!"
Everyone turned to see Cy-Toad and the pets running to them. The dogs were growling and Figaro was hissing.
"Ah, Cy-Toad!" The Earth Army Leader said. "We meet again. And wow! You have an army this time! Two dogs and a cat? What kind of soldiers do you call them?"
"The best," Cy-Toad said.
"The best at what?" The Earth Army Leader asked. "Scratching? Stretching? Sleeping? Yawning? Eating? Because none of those things make a soldier at all, let alone a good one."
"No, I agree," Cy-Toad said, "but maybe these things will."
"What?"
Then everyone heard the demonic roar again. They all turned to see that the scary figure was out of its chains and was marching to them. And all of the villagers were free as well and they had their pitchforks and canes and sticks among the weapons they have.
When the Earth Army Leader saw that Pluto had a big golden key in his mouth, he checked himself.
"You want to know how you lost your key?" Cy-Toad said. "While you were teasing me and my army, Fifi sneaked around you and took it like a snack from someone's pants pocket, then she threw it to Pluto who freed your demon friend first and then freed the rest of the villagers."
"So the dogs have done the work," the Earth Army Leader said. "What about your cat soldier?" Then he fell to the ground and saw that his entire army fell with him. They were all tied up in string. They tried to break it, but they couldn't.
"That string is not the normal type," Cy-Toad said. "That string has been created by another Cy-Ranger."
"How?"
"My cat soldier, Figaro, spread it around you all while you were flabbergasted by the work my dog soldiers did. Well done, Figaro." Then she high fived his paw.
Then Cy-Toad, her pet army and the villagers just stood as they watched the scary figure pick up the Earth Army, spun them around like bolas and threw them over the forest and beyond. Then one of the figure's metal hands turned into something that looked like a gun. It aimed at one of the burning houses and fired… water at it. The fire was put out. Then it did the same to all the other houses. They were damaged, but the villagers were glad that they were still standing and the damage was fixable and still safe to live in.
Then the figure turned to C-Toad and her pet army. "Thank you so much for your help," it said to them.
Then Cy-Toad and her pet army saw it run into the forest and disappeared. She spotted the giant footprints that it left. "Come on, guys. Let's go after them."
But before they could go, they were stopped by the villagers who praised them and declared them heroes.
"When you get back to your owners, you can tell them about your bravery and heroism," Cy-Toad said to the pets.
They all liked the sound of that.
