Hi all. So I decided to write another Mini tale and was inspired by my own chapter. This has to do with the rap story and that chapter may have to read for this to make total sense because this story takes place just after that, just before New Years.

I have also watched too many sitcoms in my life but these short stories are inspired by them. I think my favorite episodes in any show are when two characters who care for another get into a big fight. The best part of that episode is when they hug and make up it makes me go AWWWWWWWW

So yeah that's the theme for this one. It starts at dinnertime but the italics is Michael thinking about what landed him in such hot water.

Michael Phillip Rogers was not happy. He was eating dinner with his parents and his Uncle Tony and Aunt Pepper. Johnny and Emily were eating with the Barton's because he was in huge trouble with his aunt and Uncle.

He had woken up this morning with a grumpy attitude. His idea of a rap had worked perfectly and made his whole family happy. Michael was the only one still unhappy.

To him, it was just some stupid words thrown together on paper. He was twelve now and he knew he was capable of working to earn money. But instead he had to settle for a childish rap as a Christmas present to his whole family.

It made him very angry and the Pepper was the first to notice. Pepper asked for him to meet her on her floor. He obeyed reluctantly and that was when everything went wrong.

"Why are you so sad sweetheart?" Pepper asked. Michael knew now he should have just calmly explained his feelings. But Michael Rogers wasn't always the perfect boy. He did have his fathers sandy blond hair and intense sky blue eyes but he wasn't Steve Rogers.

Michael Phillip Rogers mostly enjoyed playing video games with Johnny Stark. He did make sure he was there for the other mini's too but Michael was the happiest when he could just do what he wanted to do.

Right now he wanted to be old enough to get a real job. He couldn't think of any that would hire a twelve year old who had no experience. It made him upset and he really didn't want his aunt to console him right now.

"I'm fine" he lied in a tight voice.

"Michael…" she said and he sighed. "I really am fine" he said in a little nicer tone.

Pepper could see he was agitated but thought she could help. "Johnny told us last night what you said to him. He told me you were upset that you mini's couldn't give any of us presents with your own money so you wrote the rap" she said.

Michael gave a little shrug. "It's no big deal" he said still really not wanting to talk about it.

"Sure it is honey, I think it's so sweet you want to earn your own money. I know you're a bit young but I am sure Tony and I can give you some kind of job to make some cash of your own" she said.

Michael didn't know what had come over him. He was the one mini who rarely got into trouble because he had learned to just obey the Avengers and their wives.

But then it was only a couple days after Christmas and he had gotten himself so overwhelmed. He just still couldn't believe he had snapped and been so rude to his Aunt.

"No way!" he screamed and Pepper gasped. Michael was far from done though. "I don't want to work for you or Uncle Tony and I never ever will! I can't believe you'd even suggest something so stupid!" he said.

"No Michael, I can't believe you would speak to your Aunt like that" Tony had said who looked both angry and horrified. Pepper didn't speak, she just looked very hurt.

"Well, she should have just minded her own business" Michael retorted and Tony had heard enough. "Fine then, I think your parents should hear just how rude their son has been" he said sternly.

"Great, now you're a tattletale! I thought we were pals!" Michael cried.

"Not if you're going to be a jerk to Pepper we're not" Tony replies coolly.

"It's not my fault! I didn't ask to talk about anything and I definitely didn't ask for your help either!" Michael snaps.

"Well excuse me for caring, I won't make that mistake again" Pepper says.

"Lets go young man" Tony says. He leads Michael out the door and to his floor.

"Uncle Tony please..."

"Don't speak any more Michael. I have had enough of your bad attitude" Tony replies hotly.

Michael gave a sigh as he ate a small bite of his meatloaf. He had never seen his father look so angry and disappointed with him.

"What's going on?" Penny asked when she saw Tony follow Michael into their home.

"I didn't ask for her help mom" Michael says before Tony could speak.

"You didn't have to Michael! Pepper loves you and just wanted to help. You didn't have to act so disrespectful to her!" Tony snaps.

Penny's eyes widen a little. She knew her son wasn't perfect but she never imagined this. Tony was furious and she was not looking forward to hearing what Michael said to Pepper to make him so angry.

"Let me just call to Steve and we can talk about this Tony" she tells him.

Tony gives her a nod. "Thanks Penny" he says softly and she nods.

She quickly called for Steve on the intercom and he replies he'll be right up.

"You sit on the couch young man while we wait for your father" she says to Michael who obeys.

"What's going on?" he asked when he walked in. He then notices Tony who still looks really annoyed.

"What happened Tony?" Steve asked.

"I'll let Jarvis take care of that" Tony said and Steve nodded while his son gulped. Jarvis turned on the Roger's television and played the last recording taken in Tony's living room.

"Pause it Jarvis" Tony said though just after Pepper had first started to speak. "I'm sorry, I just can't watch this again" he said to Steve who nodded.

Tony looked to Michael who had sat down on the couch. His eyes quickly went to the ground when he saw his Uncle's face. "I hope you're proud of yourself young man. Pepper would never have treated you like that" he said and left the room.

"Why didn't I like the sound of that?" Penny asked when he was gone. Steve just sighed and told Jarvis to play the recording. Michael kept his eyes to the ground as he heard the recording.

He didn't realize just how awful he had sounded and hearing it replayed made him cringe.

"Look at me young man!" Steve said sharply when the video ended. The boy looked up and cringed at his father's angry look.

"I'm sorry dad" he said quickly.

"What in the world were you thinking Michael?" Steve asks angrily and Michael sighs.

"I don't know, I was really upset because of Christmas and I...I really messed up" he says.

"Messed up is an understatement" Steve replies."What does Christmas have to do with being very disrespectful to the Stark's?" he then asks and he sighs again.

"Everything papa" he said and then takes a deep breath. "Please sit down dad and let me explain" he begs and Steve nods. He sits and Michael starts to explain the best he can.

"Remember how Johnny told you the rap was all my idea?" he began and Steve gives a nod.

"Well…I…" Michael stammers and stops. "Just tell me son, you're already in big trouble for being very rude to your Aunt" Steve tells him.

Michael nods with a heavy sigh. "Yes sir" he says. "I went into Johnny's room yesterday because I was tired of being a kid dad. I told him I thought it was a pretty cruddy Christmas because us Mini's couldn't give you all a present we bought ourselves" he said.

"So that's why you wrote that beautiful rap?" Penny asks and gets a nod.

"Son, that rap was an amazing gift, what does it have to do with you disrespecting your aunt?" Steve asks.

Michael looks ashamed now. "I know that now dad. But when I snapped at Aunt Pepper I felt like it was a babyish present. I thought I should earn my own money and felt annoyed Pepper wanted to pay me" he said.

Steve sighs then. "You could have told her that nicely, I think you really hurt her feelings" he says.

"I know, it was really stupid and I'm really sorry, I feel terrible now for hurting her like that" Michael says cutting off his dad.

"Well you did hurt her Mike and now your mother and I will have to punish you" Steve told him.

Michael gives him an unhappy nod. "I'll go get it" he says and walks sadly to his room. He returns five minutes later with his game system.

"Thank you son, you can have it back it back in a week. I hope you learned a good lesson from this young man" Steve told him.

Michael gives him a nod. "I did sir, I guess I should of just been grateful to Pepper but instead I acted mean. I hope she doesn't hate me now" he said.

"I'll invite them both to dinner and you can find out yourself" Steve suggests and Michael nods. He puts the game station down on the couch and stands to give his son a hug. "I am sure she doesn't hate you son" he says.

"Thanks dad, I am really sorry for being a jerk"

"I forgive you son, we all make mistakes. I'll get them to come to dinner and then afterwards you can apologize" he says.

Michael nods and goes into his room. As he is now grounded from gaming for a week he sits at his desk and decides to make Pepper something.

After dinner Steve and Penny cleared the table. "Let me help" Michael cut in quickly and grabbed some plates. He followed his parents into the kitchen and Steve took his load before giving him a very stern look.

"Your mother and I can handle this son. You have an apology to make to your aunt and uncle" he told him in a stern voice.

Michael put on a nervous look and his father folded his arms. "Don't you dare think of asking us for help young man! You got yourself into this mess and now you will get yourself out of it" he said.

Michael gave him a small unhappy nod. He had already lost all of his video games and consoles for a week so he wasn't about to press his father into adding to his punishment.

He gloomily walked back out to the dining room. Tony and Pepper were still seated and he gave them a nervous wave.

"We're not going to hurt you kid" Tony said. He then folded his arms and gave him a stern look of his own. "We are however very disappointed in your behavior" he added.

"I know" Michael replied softly. "Can we talk in my room?" he added and the Stark's both nodded. Michael hung his head with shame as he led the way and both of the Stark's had to fight to not comfort him.

He walked inside and the Stark's sat on the boys bed. Michael took a seat in his computer chair after pushing it in front of his aunt and Uncle.

"All right young man, what do you have to say for yourself?" Pepper asked and Michael looked at her with a very sorry look on his face.

"I'm really sorry for how I spoke to you Aunt Pepper" he says.

"You really hurt my feelings Michael" Pepper answered.

"I know" Michael replied softly. "I wouldn't blame you if you hate me now and never want to see me again" he added.

Pepper shook her head. "I could never hate you Michael, I am just hurt that you acted so cruel today" she said.

"I'm really really really sorry Aunt Pepper" he said. "Please forgive me, I really am sorry for being a jerk" he adds.

She stands up and gives him a smile. "Come here Mikey" she says and he grins. He stands and gives her a hug and she hugs him back. "I forgive you sweetheart" she whispered and it made him smile.

"I'm sorry to you as well Uncle Tony for being a big jerk" he says and Tony nods. "Come here kid" he says and Michael embraces his Uncle. When they broke apart Tony placed him on his lap.

"Can you explain to me now why you were so disrespectful today? I really don't understand you're such a well behaved boy" Tony told him.

Michael just shrugged but Tony knew something was troubling him and it disturbed him his nephew didn't think he could share with him.

"Mikey" he began softly. "You know you can tell me anything kiddo, we're family and family doesn't hold grudges or make fun of each other" he said.

It seemed to pacify the boy and he nodded. "Okay" he said and took a deep breath. "It all started with the Rap me and mini's wrote" he explained.

"It was a beautiful Christmas present Michael" Pepper said.

"Yeah I know" Michael answered. "It was my idea, I was upset that us mini's always just buy presents with our parents money. That's why we did the rap thing. I just was still bummed today that I can't get a job and that you guys have to help me out still" he said.

"But that's what family is for Mike" Pepper told him. Michael gives her a nod. "I know that now Aunt Pepper, I really am sorry for hurting you" he said.

"And I forgive you Michael, but don't you ever treat me like that again young man!" she said and he nods. He gives her another hug and then gives a small yawn that he covers with his hand. "Okay, let me tuck you into bed now, you must be exhausted" she said.

He gives a nod and climbs under the covers. Pepper tucks him in and kisses his forehead and then Tony gives him a kiss.

"Night guys, thanks for forgiving me, I really love you both"

"We love you too kiddo, we always will" Tony says and Michael closes his eyes. They walk out and turn off his light. "You guys okay?" Steve asks and gets two nods.

"Of course, he's a good boy" Pepper says and Steve smiles. "Yeah, he takes after his old man the goodie two shoes" Tony adds and Steve smirks at him.

"Very funny Stark. Have a good night you two" he says.

"You too Rogers" Tony said and they left. Steve knew he'd never admit it but he knew Tony loved that the Avengers lived in the tower with their family. They became a dysfunctional family of misfits but least the tower was filled with love.
