I'm going to write a shot for each of the seven children I decided. They each disobey their aunt or Uncle and are disciplined. Again though its not about the discipline but about the Avengers teaching the mini's that they have to mind the adults or they'll just lose privileges.

This chapter is about Jonathon Anthony Stark learning to mind Captain America AKA Uncle Steve. Read on to find out what happens when a nine year old boy decides he can lift his Uncle's weights all by himself.

He had been told not to mess with the weights. Johnny knew his Uncle would be furious if he knew. But then Johnny had a different thought about the situation. A thought he would soon very much regret.

Johnny was over at the Roger's home that morning. Penny had gone out shopping with his mom and sister. His dad was in the lab working so Johnny hung out with Michael.

The nine year old had rung the bell but no one answered. He rang it again after a minute. Then he rang it a third time. After a few minutes passed he let himself inside. He found them inside Steve's weight room working out.

"Oh! Hey Johnny!" Michael called when he put down his weight and noticed the boy.

"I'm sorry Uncle Steve but I rang the bell three times. I even texted you both that I was coming over" Johnny quickly said.

"It's okay Johnny, you two can go play video games"

"That's okay, I want to lift too" Johnny said. He moved for one and Steve gently grabbed his wrist.

"No Johnny, your dad will kill me if you get hurt" he said.

"I won't…"

"I said no Jonathon!" Steve replied sharply, cutting him off. "I don't want you near the weights, just please go play with Michael" he said.

Johnny nodded but was hurt by his Uncle's words. Steve was just looking out for him but to the nine year old it sounded like he wasn't as strong like his son Michael.

"Maybe if he sees I can lift them, he'll be proud" he mused to himself. He told Michael he was using the bathroom but instead went to the weight room.

What Johnny didn't think about was how heavy the weights really were. He lifted the ten pound one and struggled with it. It got too much and his foot slid out. When he dropped the weight, it fell onto his foot.

He howled in pain and Steve came running into the room. "Johnny!" he cried and pulled the weight off him. He wanted to scream at the boy but that would have to wait.

Instead he lifted him and ran to get his son. He raced Johnny to the hospital who took him immediately. Then Steve braced himself and called Tony.

Steve expected a lashing but he forgot how cruel Tony could be.

"My god you're an idiot Captain!"

"Excuse me? I told your son not to mess with my weights Stark!" Steve yelled back.

"Well obviously you suck at making sure he doesn't disobey!"

"It's called trust Tony! But hey, if you think I'm so incapable of watching your son then I'll just move out of the tower"

"Go ahead Steve, see if I care!" Tony snapped and Steve turned and grabbed his sons hand.

"Bye Tony, it was nice knowing you" Mike whispered as he walked away with his dad.

"Bye kid" Tony said and felt a little guilty but not enough to stop the Rogers from leaving.

When Tony carried Johnny into the house a few hours later, he took him upstairs to talk to Steve. He found the man had gotten boxes and was packing them.

"Stop Uncle Steve!" Johnny cried. He had a large blue cast over his broken foot and his eyes were getting teary.

"I don't really think I'm your Uncle anymore Johnny. Your father doesn't want me living here" Steve told him.

"But it was my fault daddy!" Johnny cried. "I only wanted to make Steve proud of me" he added and then some tears fell from his eyes.

Tony gritted his teeth at that. "First off, I never told you to leave Cap, I only said you were an idiot for letting Johnny get hurt" he said.

"Don't start again Stark!"

"We haven't even finished Rogers!"

"Stop it!" Johnny screamed. He was hysterical now. "Please stop fighting daddy and Uncle Steve! This whole thing is my fault" he begged.

Michael now stood up from the couch. "Dad? You always told me not to fight with the mini's that their my family. Do you really want to just pack up and leave because of a stupid fight?" he asked.

"The kids are right Tony, I think it's time we sit down calmly and talk this out" Steve answered.

Tony gave a small sigh before speaking. "Yeah, you're right Steve" he said.

"wow, Tony Stark actually admitting I am right" Steve replies in mock awe. Tony sticks his tongue out at him. "Ha ha, look I can admit we were ready to kill each other when we first met. But as Mike pointed out we are family now. So lets sit and talk" he says.

He walked to the couch and positioned the pillows so Johnny could lay down. Tony laid his son so he was resting against one pillow and his broken foot rested on another pillow.

Tony then grabbed two chairs from the dining room and placed them in front of the boy while Michael sat on the other end of the couch.

"Okay, first I want to know..." Steve begins.

"Wait dad!" Michael says cutting him off.

Steve gives him a stern look. "Michael you know it's rude to interrupt!" he says.

"Sorry dad" he says sheepishly. "I just thought it be nice if you and Uncle Tony apologize to each other before you scold Johnny" he adds.

"That's unnecessary" Steve told him after taking a quick glance at Tony.

Michael shook his head. "You always told me that everyone who lives in this tower is my family. You said only mama and you were blood related but the avengers and their kids were still family. That means I need to respect everyone and apologize if I hurt someone" he says.

"Yeah...well..." Steve says but then trails off.

"Okay, I just thought it be nice" Michael says. "I understand though you two aren't that close yet" he adds.

"It's not like I really meant it Mikey. I was worried about my boy and I was just venting my frustration"

"Does that mean you're sorry?" Michael asks and Tony gives him a nod.

"Yeah, I am sorry for snapping at you Steve. I do trust you to care for Johnny and Emily and I don't want you to leave because my son decided to disobey you" Tony says looking at Steve.

He almost didn't give in but he knew Michael was right. It had been more than a decade now that the Avengers lived together and Tony really didn't want the Rogers to leave.

"I'm sorry as well for storming off on you Tony. I think we were both equally frustrated and we still sometimes butt heads in the process" Steve said apologetically.

"Please don't leave Cap, you and I came a long ways into building a friendship and I don't think we should throw it away" Tony replied.

"Okay now hug it out" Michael said.

"Yeah, you always tell us to hug after!" Johnny piped in. The two rolled their eyes but then Steve stands and Tony sighs but stands as well. They gave each other a hug and Michael smiled.

"Thanks kid" Tony then tells Mike and ruffles his hair.

"Yeah, thanks son, now why don't you go to your room and play while we talk with Johnny" Steve tells him and Michael nods.

"Good luck kid" Mike whispers to Johnny and then runs off. Johnny wished he could follow but he was a cripple now for six weeks.

"Well now since that's settled, I'd like to know why you disobeyed me today Jonathon" Steve says when Michael is gone and he sits again.

Johnny doesn't answer him right away. Instead he looks at his hands. "Please answer me Jonathan" Steve says when a few minutes pass.

"I thought it would impress you" Johnny says looking up and into Steve's angry blue eyes.

"What do you mean Johnny? How does disobeying me and getting yourself hurt impress me?" he asked.

"I didn't think I'd get hurt, least I wasn't trying to" Johnny says. "I just thought if I could lift them then I could show you and you'd let me work out with you" he adds.

"Wait a second, why didn't you just ask him Johnny?" Tony asks not understanding.

"I did but he said no" Johnny says as he looks at his dad. "Then why..." Tony asks with a very confused look.

"When I came over this morning Uncle Steve and Mikey were working out. I rang the bell three times and I even texted but no answer. So I took out my key and let myself in" Johnny explains.

Johnny then gazes back to Steve. "I am sorry I disobeyed you Uncle Steve but you really hurt my feelings. The way you just shot me down made me feel like you thought I was a weakling. I just wanted to show you I was strong too" he says.

"That doesn't make it okay to disobey Jonathon" Tony says before Steve could reply. "I am sorry you felt hurt today but I will not allow this to go unpunished"

"But dad I am already a cripple!" Johnny whines.

"I know and until your leg is healed you're grounded" Tony says and Johnny pouts.

"Don't give me that look young man" Tony tells him. "I didn't back down when Jamie broke the rules and broke my project in my lab and I will not back down now. You children are old enough to know that you can't just break the rules. You can always talk about your feelings but you can't just disobey an adult because you feel like it" he adds.

Johnny gives a sad nod. He remembers how sad Jamie was to miss the carnival but he also knew he deserved his punishment.

"Yes sir, I am sorry papa" he says.

"I forgive you son" Tony says and gives his boy a hug. "All right, I am going to my lab now so you can and Steve can have a chat"

"Okay, bye dad, I love you"

"Love you too son, please don't go overboard cap, the doc says he has to stay off that foot"

"Do you trust me Tony?" Steve asks and gets a nod.

"I do Steve I was just telling you what the doc said" he says.

"Don't worry Tony, I promise I'll make sure your son is taken good care of"

"Okay, have fun Johnny" Tony says and leaves.

"Did you mean what you said Jonathon? About wanting to make me proud of you?" Steve asked when Tony was gone.

Johnny nodded at him. "I know it was dumb Uncle Steve but I just really thought if I could lift them alone you'd be impressed."

"Johnny, even if you hadn't gotten hurt I would have not been impressed with you young man" he said.

"Really?"

Steve gives him a nod. "I am sorry for giving you the wrong impression Johnny. I wish you had just told me you felt hurt and I would have tried to explain it better. Those weights aren't toys kid and I just didn't want you to get hurt" he says.

"I'm sorry Uncle Steve, I hope you don't hate me" Johnny replies.

Steve gets up then and lifts Johnny easily. He sits on the couch and places the boy on his lap keeping his broken foot on the couch.

"Please don't ever say that again Johnny. I may get angry and disappointed in you but I will never hate you. I love you very much and I am glad you're okay"

"I love you too" Johnny replies. He puts his arms around Steve for a hug and Steve hugs him back.

Steve nodded and gave him a hug. "I think breaking your foot really helped this lesson so I am just going to make you do easy chores. Your first task is to fold laundry for me" he said

.Johnny gave him a nod and Steve left for the clothing. He came back with two baskets under each arm and Johnny let out a tiny groan. It would be a long six weeks.

"Hey Johnny?" Steve called to him noticing the unhappy groan. The boy looked up from folding."When your cast comes off I will be glad to teach you to lift the weights properly" he said.

Johnny's eyes lit up and sparkled. "Really? You're the absolute best Uncle Steve"

"Thanks but this promise will only happen if you're very good these next six weeks and you swear to me you will never touch the weights without my permission" Steve tells him.

He gets a nod from the boy. "I promise" he says and Steve falls silent as he stands and unpacks the box.

"Uncle Steve?"

"Yes Johnny?" Steve asks without turning around.

"Please don't ever move out. I know my dad has a hot temper at times but I think he's a great man. He just isn't the best with people skills" Johnny told him and Steve chuckled.

"That's an understatement kid" he said.

Johnny gave him a small. "Yeah maybe, but I really do think he really likes you and the others a lot. He told me before all of us the only friends he has were my mom and Uncle Rhodey" Johnny replied.

Steve turned at that. "Thanks Johnny" he said sincerely. "How about this for a pact kid? Since I promise to help you lift weights you have to promise to keep your father and I in line. We only hugged because of you and Michael" he said'

"Deal, I like being the peacekeeper" Johnny agreed and the silence fell upon them again as they got back to work. There was definitely always chaos in the Avenger tower but they were always a family and family always works it out in the end.
