Hi all. So taking a small break from the discipline shots. Have to figure out the two five year olds and one four year old. Though I may not do them since their little. The older children were fun to write though.

But anyway, this is a shout-out to everyone who reviewed the mini's rap one-shot. I loved everyone's kind words because it really took me a few hours to make the rap. I'd write it out then erase a chunk and repeat the process about fifty times lol. It never sounded right in my head and then I got what you all read.

So, as stated above, this is a new poem/song I wrote to thank you all for your kind words. I have to admit the book Love you forever by Robert Munsch inspired this. I did a similar version about a mother and her boy but I made it completely my own, I hope you enjoy it.

Michael sat on his bed with his guitar in hands that Tony had bought it for him for his birthday two weeks ago. He was finally getting better at playing and decided to write his own tune and song.

He stayed in his room all day working on his little project. He had it down by dinner time and wanted to show it to his family.

They all eagerly gathered onto the couches. This time everyone sat down including him as he sat in a comfortable chair facing them.

He arrived in the world on a cold winters night

A beautiful baby boy, what a lovely sight

He had his mother's eyes and his father's pride

But she knew he would one day leave her side

Time passed by and soon the boy was ready for school

With his big smile and new clothing he was looking cool

They left the house and walked to the bus

He waved to his mother and told her not to fuss

But before he climbed on he gave her a smile

He said, "Don't cry Ma, I will be back in a while

I'm just going to school to be real smart

I'll study hard and it'll warm your heart"

And she replied with a hug and kiss

Said "I love you boy, don't forget this

I'm proud that you're my son, my pride and joy

You'll always be the greatest little boy"

School soon ended and summer had begun

The boy was going to camp to have some fun

His mother watched him pack with a tear in her eye

It was still very hard to say goodbye

So her turned to her and said with a smile

"Don't cry Ma, I will be back in a while

Summer camp will show me how to be strong

So I can protect you all night long"

And she replied with a hug and kiss

Said "I love you boy, don't forget this

I'm proud that you're my son, my pride and joy

You'll always be the greatest little boy"

Years passed and the boy was soon going to college

He wanted to have a lot more knowledge

He was tall and thin, his father's eyes were still bright

She wished his dad could see him, what a handsome sight

When the boy was all packed he turned to her with a smile
He said "Don't cry Ma, I will be back in a while

I'm going to become a doctor just like my dad

He's watching from heaven and I want him to be glad"

And she replied with a hug and kiss

Said "I love you boy, don't forget this

I'm proud that you're my son, my pride and joy

You'll always be the greatest little boy"

The boy soon graduated and found a wife

His momma was sad that her boy found a new life

She watched him marry the beautiful girl

Yet was saddened she had stolen her pearl

So when he danced with her later, he gave her a smile

He said "Don't cry ma, I'll be back in a while

I'll give you grandkids who'll want you to play

You will laugh with them each and every day"

And she replied with a hug and kiss

Said "I love you boy, don't forget this

I'm proud that you're my son, my pride and joy

You'll always be the greatest little boy"

Momma's little boy did give her grandchildren full of love

Little angelic boys and girls who were sent from above

She watched them laugh and giggle

As she tickled them and watched them wriggle

When the boy picked the children up he gave her a smile

He said "Don't cry Ma, we'll come back in a while

The children love you dear and so do I

And you know I never tell a lie"

And she replied with a hug and kiss

Said "I love you boy, don't forget this

I'm proud that you're my son, my pride and joy

You'll always be the greatest little boy"

More time passed and his momma was gone

A night after her funeral he stood on his front lawn

He looked to the sky and saw one star twinkle bright

He smiled up at the beautiful light

He called up to it with his warm and happy smile

He said "Don't cry Ma, I'll see you in a little while

But until then please just be my guide

Because now you will never leave my side

The wind blew threw his hair and he knew it was his Momma's kiss

She was gone and yet he now felt peace and bliss

For the wind said "I'm proud that you're my son, my pride and joy

You'll always be the greatest little boy"

Penny stood up first and Michael stood to hug her tightly. "You are the greatest little boy" she whispered and it made him smile.

I hope you enjoyed this short shot and thanks again to all my readers for all your kind reviews.
