Disclaimer: Don't own Naruto, but it would be a lovely half-birthday gift...

A/N: A poem I made a littler while ago when I saw the finally episodewith the Haku/Zabuza thing. Enjoy.

A curse
A blessing
A dream
Because I was never loved
I was feared
Feared to be great
Feared to be terrible
She saw me as a threat
A threat to her happiness and the stablity of her world
They saw me as a monster
A monster that could destroy all that they cared about and held close
I was alone
I was...scared...
Then he came
And looked me in the eyes
And told me I was foolish for
Sitting in the snow like that
But I could not remember
What else he said
Because his eyes were...just like mine...
They were crimson with a hint a maroon
The innocence of snowflakes
Fell softly all around us
But I could still see them
Two small orbs that observed and stared and...
...Wanted...
Just like mine
He offered belonging
And growth
And purpose
And I was alone
So I am his weapon
His tool
Always by his side
Ready to fight any battle, any obstacle
That might cross his path
Readily risking my life at any moment
For him
And the payment for
Such a commitment?
Two small orbs of
Crimson and maroon
Staring right at me...

R.I.P. Haku and Zabuza.

Happy Easter!
