The Last Sword

Evil, Be Gone!

There, a young woman sped through the dense trees, moving like the summer winds that swept through the air. Finally, she entered a clearing with a giant temple. Not even stopping to marvel at its beauty, she rushed in, and through the many twists, she knew exactly where she was going. She could feel the evil pulsating through the ground. Reaching her destination, she sped up and drawing her blades, she slashed through the hand of a demonic being. He screamed with anger and pain as an over-sized brown hand fell to the floor. The wrist that had once held the grotesque hand oozed, what looked like throw up, was actually blood. The disembodied hand squirmed and twitched helplessly as the ninja named Taki stepped back.

"Drop the Soul Edge, and I won't have to kill you," she said holding her swords up defensively, although she showed no fear in her eyes.

"Oh?" He taunted gripping his newly complete Soul Edge, his normal hand gripping the sword while the stub where his hand once was, was used as support. He started to charge her full force. She quickly sidestepped, but Nightmare came around with another blow, landing a blow to her face with the flat side of his blade. She heard a small crack as her mouth oozed a thick steam of blood. She flew back, getting immediately back to her feet. She ducked a blow from Nightmare and her blade cut cleanly through his armor. He roared from agony and brought down the butt of Soul Edge. She rolled to the side and leapt into the air and swiftly landing behind him behind him and did and uppercut with her Rekki Maru, knocking off his helmet. He swung his blade around, the edge of his sword cutting through the whole left side of her face. His face was but a brown shriveled version of its old self.

"Damn!" she said as the force of his swing knocked her off her feet. 'I cannot lose this fight,' she thought as tears formed in her eyes. 'I will NOT lose.' As she thought these words, her swords started to glow a benevolent blue. She whirled around and threw one of the glowing blades. It cut through Nightmare and his armor and wedged itself into the opposite wall.

"No!" Nightmare screeched as held his stomach.

"Good-bye," Taki smirked. "EVIL, BE GONE!" Her small blade ignited with blue fire. She charged him, and cut through his neck. His head rolled off his body, and his corpse fell to the ground. "No one will ever harness Soul Edge again," she said, wrenching the sword out of hands. And, taking the last ounce of energy out of her she took her blazing sword and struck it against the soul edge. It shattered in a shower of red sparks. Turning around she muttered, "Good-bye… Brother."
