Ok so here we go! This is my second fanfic so I hope you like it!
Disclaimer: No I do not under any circumstances own the characters in Harry Potter, J.K. Rowling does.
In Time, You Will See
Draco stalked the hallways of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. It was his first day of his 7th and final year at Hogwarts. His eyes picked through the crowd, searching for trouble at any expense. His sight settled on the Golden Trio, Harry Potter, Ron Weasley, but most of all Hermione Granger, the smartest witch in school who made Draco's life a living hell.
"Well, well, well. What do we have here?" Draco sneered as he strode over to the three friends. "It's Scarhead, the Weasel, and my favorite little mudblood."
"Well I'm glad to know I've made it to your favorite list, Malfoy," Hermione retaliated.
"Well aren't we being a bitch today?" Draco acted taken aback by Hermione's retort. He walked closer to her and whispered in her ear, "That's ok, you can be my bitch anytime."
"Oh, piss off you dirty scum!" Hermione started to walk away, hoping Harry and Ron would follow her and not try to fight with Draco.
"Oh, come on, Mudblood! Is that the best you've got?" Draco yelled after her.
"Draco, if you don't stop, I'm going to-," but Harry was cut off by Hermione shoving her books into his arms.
Hermione pulled out her wand and pointed it at Draco's nose. "Do you really want to fight me?" she asked him. "Say the word and I will curse-," but Hermione couldn't finish her threat because just then Professor McGonagall walked over to where Hermione was threatening Malfoy.
"Ms. Granger! Mr. Malfoy! What is going on here? Follow me to my office right now, and there is to be no conversation between you two." Professor McGonagall began walking toward her office.
Hermione lowered her wand and gave Malfoy a threatening look, as if to say, "This battle does not end here."
Amused, Draco turned and followed McGonagall, pretending to be oblivious to Hermione's non-verbal threat. Hermione solemnly followed Draco and McGonagall, wondering how many detentions she would get and if Draco would even get any at all. He was sly and could get out of almost any situation, but hopefully not this one.
Hermione quickly turned and glanced at her friends for support. "Good job. We'll back you up," they mouthed to her. She smiled back and walked faster to catch up to Draco and McGonagall, walking now with a little more confidence then before.
Draco had caught up to McGonagall as they reached the stairs, though she didn't make any effort to speak to him. He fell back a few paces, wondering how he could get out of this one. I could claim that I didn't say anything, but no, the scarhead and the weasel would tell McGonagall the truth, and she would believe them. Draco came up with a few more lies to get himself out of the trouble he had caused and finally settled on a good excuse. He walked the remainder of the way rehearsing his lie in his head, knowing that he could, would get out of this situation.
Professor McGonagall led the two 7th years to her room, wondering if Albus had made the correct decision. After what she had just witnessed, she wouldn't give the two enemies a week. Then again, more mysterious things had happened at Hogwarts…
Well I hope you liked it. R&R please! This is only my second fanfic so any ideas or comments are welcome! Thanks!
