Another chapter!!! Don't have much to say but I hope you guys enjoy!!
"Ohhh. Ohhh." Nia groaned as she was trying to stretch out.
She was currently in the Wii Fit Studio. Dressed in a yellow workout top and sweat pants. As she was doing exercises with Wii Fit Trainer. She was desperately trying to do sit ups, but it wasn't helping her because of the child in her stomach.
Wii Fit Trainer was trying to help Nia. As she knew that Nia couldn't in her current state. As Nia was sweating excessively trying to do a sit up.
"Don't worry Nia. I've got you." Wii Fit told the 16 year old Gormotti Blade. "Your doing good."
Last week Rex had signed Nia up for exercises with Wii Fit Trainer. As Rex knew Nia didn't want to gain lots of weight during her pregnancy. But Nia's reaction was anything but happy.
Nia was enraged when she found out on her wedding. As she proceeded to chase Rex with a chair and kept trying to hit her husband with it. Just to say Rex did not sleep well that night.
"I-feel like...I've been...at this for bloody hours..." Nia breathed as she reached up and touch her toes. Only for her to then collapse and then lie on the floor. With her arms stretched. "I...can't...go anymore..."
"That's okay. You did good today." Wii Fit Trainer said as she helped Nia up. "Meet me here again tomorrow?"
"I...guess." Nia breathed in and out as she put her hands on her stomach. Which had grown a little more.
"Do you need anything?" Wii Fot Trainer asked as she put her arm around Nia.
"Water...and..." Nia breathed again. "Meatball sub..."
"On it." Wii Fit Trainer said as she walked to the small fridge in the studio and took out a bottle of water. As Nia walked over to her and Wii Fit gave her the bottle.
Nia then took off the bottle cap as she chugged the water bottle down in a few seconds.
"Ahhh." Nia said as she then crushed the bottle and threw it to the recycling bin. Only for it to miss and fall onto the floor.
"Ugh. Blimey hell." Nia groaned as she walked to the recycling bin to pick up her crushed bottle and throw it away.
After throwing the bottle away Nia yawned as she rubbed her eyes.
"Tired?"
Nia nodded. "Not used to getting up this early. Used to sleep-ow!" Nia grabbed her stomach as she gritted her teeth in pain.
"What's wrong? Are you going into labor?" Wii Fit Trainer asked. "Do you need a hospital?"
"Oi! No. Just a kick." Said Nia as she got back up again. "Ow!" Nia felt another kick again.
Suddenly Peach and Zelda walked into the fitness center. Holding books as they smiled at Nia.
"Hi Nia!" Peach exclaimed. "Can we borrow you for maybe a few hours?"
"What for?" Nia asked raising an eyebrow.
"Well. Since your going to be a mother in less than two months." Zelda said fixing her hair. "We thought we could help you and Rex by giving you two information about parenting."
"But I've already done blimey training on being a mother." Nia stated. "Why do I have to do more?"
"Be honest, we're you really paying attention for most of those trainings?" Zelda asked. Causing Nia to sigh as she shook her head. Implying she did not.
"Exactly. Don't worry. And we actually already have Rex his trainings. So we just have to show and explain to you." Leach said.
"Oi! Rex already finished the teachings?" Nia asked. "Blimey how?"
"Rex actually payed attention." Zelda smirked. As Nia blushed. "Don't worry it's fine."
"Right. Guess I'm still a little nervous." Nia said. "Fine. I'll do it. Can at least get a sandwich?"
"Sure. We'll get you a sub on our way to the room." Peach nodded. "You ready?"
"Yeah." Nia said. As Peach took her hand as they didn't want Nia to fall or get hurt while being pregnant. Which if she did fall it could hurt the baby.
Later...
Peach and Zelda reached to o the medical room. Mario was there dressed as Dr Mario. As Nia sat on the medical bed. As Peach and Zelda were teaching her important things to know about being a mother. While Dr Mario was in a different room.
While Nia was eating a meatball sub.
"And remember. You have to feed your child everyday. Baby food, and breast milk." Peach said.
"Blimey. I know how breastfeeding works." Nia said rolling her eyes. "I know how to do it."
"But do you know how it affects you?" Zelda asked as Nia shook her head. "It's gonna hurt the first few times. Did you ever experience chest pains? During your pregnancy?"
"Yeah. It hurt like hell." Nia admitted. Taking another bite of her sandwich. "Hadn't felt it in about a month though."
"That's good. Because they were getting prepared for your child." Peach stated. "Now one final thing. Do you know when your baby will come?"
Nia looked to the left then right. "Yeah. Less than 2 months.
"Yeah but when? Something will indicate you." Zelda said. "Your water will break. When you feel water or a damp area. It means you'll be going into labor."
"Right. But it'll be easy. Just get it out of me. Simple." Nia smiled as Zelda had a face of worry, and Peach with an expression of horror.
Nia was very confused. "What? Is that not right."
Zelda then turned to Nia. "Nia, surely you know what labor feels like hearing it from someone."
"Oi. No. Not from what I've heard." Nia shook her head. "Why?"
Peach took a deep breath. And explained. "Nia dear, going into labor and giving birth, is very painful."
Nia then raised an eyebrow. "W-what do ya mean?"
"Nia, giving birth really hurts, really. You have to push out a lot. Push hard, giving birth is like pushing another body out of your body. Actually, it is. It's like passing a kidney stone. But it's bigger, and a body." Zelda said as Nia's expression went from confused to horrified.
"R-really?" Nia shivered. "W-wait. W-w-where do I blimey give birth?"
Zelda then pointed to the front of Nia's waist. As Nia's eyes widened.
"Oi. Y-you mean. My front?" Nia asked.
Peach nodded. "Yes dear, your front."
Nia then shook more as she put her hand on her mouth. "Oh. Oh my god. That'll be so painful.."
"It's okay." Zelda said. "It is very painful. But you just have to push."
"R-right." Nia slowly got up.
"Do you need a hug dear?" Peach asked. Hoping to help out her friend.
"Blimey. Yes I do." Nia nodded as she hugged Peach.
"It's alright dear. Don't worry." Peach said. Stroking Nia's Gormott ears.
"I. Can I really do this?" Nia asked. "Can I get through it?"
"We know you can." Zelda nodded. "It'll be okay."
"Sniff. Okay." Nia said.
Suddenly Dr Mario came into the room. With a clipboard. "Hey a Nia. We have a found out the gender of your a baby. Would you like to know?"
Meanwhile...
Rex was currently in he and Nia's room. Painting the crib he had build months back.
The room now had a crib. Next to the crib was some baby books, some on how to take care of a baby, others on little baby books to read to the baby. Above the crib was a baby shingle. To help the baby sleep. And finally. A few onesies as well as baby toys for the child near the bed. As Rex happily finished the touches on the crib. Finished painting it with the blue paint he was given.
"Right then! That should do it!" Rex exclaimed as he dusted his hands as he lied down on the bed. When suddenly Nia came into the room. Shivering with fear.
"Oi Nia! How was your morning?" Rex asked as Nia lied down on the bed next to him. Hugging him. "Nia?"
"I'm scared Rex." Nia said looking at him in the eyes. "I just found out giving birth is really bloody painful."
Rex then gained a look with surprise. As he smiled at her. "Oi. I know. But don't worry. It'll be okay."
"Wait. Did you know?!" Nia asked in surprise. As Rex laughed nervously. "Blimey hell Rex!! You knew it was gonna be painful and you didn't tell your wife?! How blimey dare you!"
Nia then punched Rex in the gut as he wheezed.
"S-sorry...Nia...thought you knew..." Rex wheezed as he grabbed his gut. "I thought you knew."
Nia then blushed. "I wasn't paying attention." Nia admitted. "Sorry Rex. I didn't mean to punch ya."
"It's fine Nia. Don't worry bout it at all." Rex stated stroking her ears. "Your pregnant. And I completely understand."
"Right. Soon Rex. Just a little sooner." Nia stated as Rex put his hand on her belly. "Also."
"Yeah?" Rex asked smiling at Nia.
"Our baby's gonna be a boy." Nia said. Causing Rex's face to light up. "Mario told me today."
"Really? Yes!!!" Rex pumped his fist in excitement. "I can't wait. You don't even know!"
1 month and a few weeks later...
"Ohh.. Rex, your hands are so soft." Nia said as she was in their bedroom with Rex massaging her back. Dressed in her yellow nightgown while Rex was in his usual blue salvager clothes.
"Yeah. I can keep this up if you like." Rex smiled.
"Yeah. So blimey nice." Nia said. And Rex's comfortable hands were easing her and relaxing her muscles.
But suddenly. Nia felt something wet fall onto her feet. Or in between them at least. As Nia froze.
"Um R-R-Rex? Did you d- dropped something blimey wet?" Nia asked.
"No. Why do you a—" Rex then looked down. And noticed that the carpet under Nia was damp. As the two heard dripping noises.
The two froze.
And Nia slowly turned her head to Rex with a horrified expression. As she spoke four words.
"Rex, the baby's coming."
"Oi no!!" Rex panicked as he kick up Nia bridal style. As Nia breathed and winced in pain. As Rex ran out of the room.
Meanwhile...
"So a then I said, get a your hands off a my spaghetti!" Mario exclaimed. Causing Luigi to laugh as they were in the main lobby drinking coffee. As Rex and Nia's friends were nearby talking to one and other.
The talking ended when Rex ran into the room with Nia in his arms.
"Someone quick!" Rex exclaimed. "We need blimey help!"
"What's wrong Rex?" Pyra asked.
"Nia's water broke! She's going into labor!" Rex exclaimed as Nia kept breathing in and out rapidly.
Mario then spat out his coffee as he ran to the married couple. While the others looked at each other rapidly.
"Get her in a my car! We've got to a get her to a the hospital." Mario said. As he ran Rex and Nia to his car.
"You all!" Luigi exclaimed. "I'll a drive you all to the hospital in my bus! Let's a go!" Luigi exclaimed as he took out the keys to his bud as the group followed.
"Tora excited to see little Rex and Nia Pon!" Tora exclaimed.
Meanwhile...
Rex and Nia were currently in Mario's car. As he was driving to the hospital as fast as he could. With Rex and Nia in the back seat of the car. With Rex having a cloth on Nia's head. As she was panting and breathing in and out rapidly.
"Oi don't worry Nia were almost there. Just breathe." Rex said. As they then felt the car stop. "Mario why'd we stop?"
Mario had stopped at a fast food place as he spoke to the speaker.
"Hey a. I'll get a 2 cheeseburgers and.."
"Blimey Titan's foot Mario!! Nia's having a baby!" Rex exclaimed angrily.
"Oh a yeah. Can I also get a kids meal?" Mario asked.
Meanwhile...
Luigi's bus had arrived at the hospital as he and the Xenoblade Chronicles 2 crew got out of the bus. As they hurried out.
"Where is Mario?" Mythra asked. "They should be here!"
Suddenly a black car pulled up front of the hospital as Rex got up with Nia next him. Who kept panting.
As Mario got out. Rex hurried as everyone else did into the hospital.
Meanwhile the receptionist was playing on her Nintendo Switch behind the counter and computer screen. Until the group came in.
"Cause me lady! Help please!" Rex exclaimed. "This girl is going into labor!"
The receptionist's glasses fell off as she set her switch down and the doctors came to help Nia.
Rex began to follow. But one of the doctors stopped him.
"Don't worry. We'll make sure she's fine." The doctor said as Rex stayed back.
Multiple hours later...
It had been many hours since the group entered the hospital. It was now evening and dark out.
Everyone decided to find something to do to pass the time. Brighid read a beauty magazine. Zeke fell asleep. Tora was fixing Poppi. Pyra and Mythra were showing each other things on their phones. As the others did their own thing. Meanwhile Luigi was listening to music and Mario sat there waiting.
Rex was not calm. He was pacing back and fourth in the waiting room with his left hand in his pocket, and his right hand on his forehead. As he paced back and forth continuously. Nervous about what was going on.
When suddenly, the doctors came out of the door. As they all smiled.
As Rex stopped and looked at one of them.
"Excuse me. Are you the father?" She asked as Rex nodded.
"Oi. Yes." Rex said. "Is everything alright."
The doctor nodded and smiled. "Everything is perfectly fine. Your wife would like to see you now."
Rex smiled as he walked into the hospital room. With Nia in a hospital bed, still dressed in her yellow nightgown. As she look at Rex with dreary eyes with a smile.
Nia was holding something in her arms. A waddle of blankets. As an infant child with Rex's brown hair and Nia's Gormott Ears was shown. Sleeping happily.
"N-Nia." Rex said as he walked to her. "Is that, him? Or baby?"
"Yeah. Look at him. So blimey cute." Nia said as the two smiled down at their baby. As she handed the baby to Rex. Who then cradled it in his arms.
Rex truly smiled. A child that he and Nia created. The two of them. Brought into the world. Finally.
"He's so little. Look at his tiny hands." Rex chuckled.
Nia laughed. "Bigger than your head that's for sure."
Rex then blushed. "Hey come now."
"Only joking." Nia said as Rex put the child back into her arms.
"So. What should we call him?" Rex asked as he bent down to look at the baby.
"Hmm. I was thinking. Ethan." Nia said.
"Ethan huh? I like it." Rex smiled. "Our little Ethan. Welcome to the world little guy. Happy birthday."
