5 years have paased since Judai graduated from Duel Academy. He is now 23 years old and he has became a traveler wanting to connect humans and Duel Spirits with Yubel, Paraoh, and his ex teacher Profeesor Banner. They have been accompanying Judai in all off his adventures. Judai has got offers to join Pro from various League but for some reason he has decline their invitation, but that doesn't mean he will never join in case he changes his mind.
As a man in his early 20ties, Judai has grown a bit taller reaching 5'9, he has became more muscular, and he still wears his Slifer Red uniform wherever he goes.
Judai has been in touch with some off his friends after graduation but he rarely meets them since they all are busy with their own work, while for others he hasn't seem them physically for last 5 yers but continue to text them. Sho and Ryo have became sucessful in starting their own league, Chazz and Edo have been dominating the circuit, Johan is also a top Pro Duelist in his league but unlike his other friends Johan only duels for fun, and doesn't want to become the best in everything, Kenzen is now a archeologist, Rei has became a ballet dancer after she graduate and moved to New York where she started her own dance academy, Jim moved to Australia and became a geologist, Chummley has became a sucessful card designer, and O'Brien has became Peaguses spokesman and righ-hand man at Industrial Illusion while still continuing his job as a mercenary. However Judai has lost contact with Tenjouin siblings after graduation, but he knows that Fubuki has became a famous model and actor getting many lead roles in movies and drama and their are many posters of him in billboards and across the city of New Domino, and he even brought Fubuki's photobook. He has no idea what Asuka is doing and wonder where she is.
At his home he was laying in his bed with his hands folded, and he began reminiscing his days at Duel Academy, and decide to take a look at his graduation year book magazine which was prepared by Rei and Kenzen. He gets emotional seeing some goofy pictures he took with his friends and recalled how Rei and Asuka forced him to join their group photos, and looked at his final group photo which was taken outside of Slifer Red Dorm. It was a pic of him, Asuka, Sho, Kenzen, Chazz, Fubuki, and Rei standing outside the dorm as group with a smile on their face.
"Well looks like you are missing them ". The spirit of Banner said.
"Yes I do". Judai replied to him sadly
"If you miss them, then why don't you organize a reunion". Yubel stated simply while appearing next to him"
"Well I don't think think so, because they are busy with their own work". Despite missing them and returning back to his old self, Judai still keeps a distant from them and he still carries the guilt for what happened to them in Yubel's world.
Meanwhile Judai's mother is in kitchen cooking pasta and then she heard a door bell and decide to open and see who is there. When she open she saw Johan who is her sons best friend standing near the entrance and she greeted the boy with a smile on her face.
"Hi Johan-kun its been a while, are you here to meet Judai".
"Its good to see you too anuty, yes I am and beside I can smell some delicous cheese aroma" Johan greeted her back with a kind smile and he can sense the odur of pasta coming near the entrance.
"Well I am cooking white sauce pasta, and would you like to stay with us for dinner, I am sure Judai would love to have you for dinner". Mrs Yuki said kindly.
"Thanks I would love to but I have no time because I have a duel after 2 hours so I decide to meet Judai for urgent during my break".
Mrs Yuki shook her head in agreement and allowed him to come inside. She then direct Johan to living room and called Judai from upstairs.
Meanwhile Judai is still at his room and he heard his mom calling him to meet Johan.
"Judai, your friend Johan is here to meet you so please come down ".
Upon hearing Johan's name Judai felt excited and he also feel like his heart pumping, and rushed downstairs to meet him.
As he went to the living room both the best friends embrace each other with a hug. Among all off his friends Judai frequently hangs out with Johan whenever they're free, but these days they rarely meet in-person because of Johan's busy schedule but they still text with each other almost everyday.
After hugging, they took a seat in a couch next to each other
"Well looks like you have something important to tell me Johan?" Judai asked with a grin.
"Yes Judai, I came here to invite you for a Duel Academy reunion at Domino Plaza". Johan replied with a smile.
"What a reunion!." Judai exclaimed in shock since he never expect Johan off all people to invite him for his school get together.
"Yes, Shou and Kenzen have sent invite to you online, but you haven't responded to their mail, so I thought of inviting you in-person, and youn don't worry all of your friends will be there tomorrow".
"I am sorry Johan I can't go I...I just don't know how to face them". Judai replied nervously.
However Yubel and Banner kept on encouraging him.
"Judai if you don't go you're going to regret". Yubel said to her lover sternly.
"Yubel is right and everyone is waiting for you". Banner said.
"But I can't cause trouble to them". Jaduai replied hesitantly
"I thought you got over your guilt but looks like I am wrong". Johan replied in a slightly disappointed tone. "Look Judai you know everyone has already forgave you long time back, and many off us were upset when you left the school abruptly without saying goodbye but still we forgave you. I told Sho and everyone you will be coming, and majority off your friends are eager to see you so please come".
"If your friends have forgiven you, you should learn to forgive yourself Judai". Yubel gave one of her rare genuine smile to him which touched Judai a bit.
Judai think twice about it. He wonder how some of his classmates are going to react for abandoning them after graduation, but when he thought about Sho and Kenzen he decide to change his mind.
"Alright then, I have decide to attend tommorow and meet everyone". Judai said excitedly.
Johan sighed in relief, and he's glad that Judai finally agrees to meet his friends.
"So will you be coming as well Johan?". Judai asked in relief.
"I am sorry Judai I have a important event to attend so I won't be abe to come".
Judai was dissapointed Johan couldn't attend but he was excited to meet some old faces. Shortly afterwards Johan left and Judai's mother called him for dinner.
Mrs Yuki worked as a Proffesor at Domino University, however she resigned last year and wanted to spend more time with her son, and make up the time they lost.
Both the mother and son were enjoying their time together, but his father couldn't show up because he is busy with work.
After dinner Judai put his uniform for laundry and start preping things for tommorow.
Here is my 1st chap for Season 5 of GX. I wrote season 5 fanfic in wattpad but gave up a few years ago and didn't post it. Now I decide to write a new version of my original story plan along with my friend.
I will have Darkness as the main villain.
