At Duel Academy Island with Asuka

Asuka woke up early morning and before heading to school for classes, she would often take a look at Slifer Red dorm from outside. The dorm has expanded and also it has been renovated, she would often recap the days she spend with Judai and his friends at this dorm, still missing her good old times as student. Now she is a teacher and head of Obelisk girls dorm. Asuka has tied her hair in a bun, she wore Obelisk blue trench coat similar to what her brother, Ryo, and Yusuke wore during their school days but keeps her coat open, and inside she wore a pink shirt and white skirt reaching below her knees,

"I wonder where you're Judai, it's been 5 years and I hope we meet again". Asuka said to herself hoping to see her crush soon. She then quietly left the dorm and head back to school for class.

At Marufuji's Apartment

After waking up around 9 am Ryo went to his balcony to look at the sun and enjoy the view before starting his day. Today is his school reunion day at Domino Plaza and both the brothers took off from work so that they can be there early. Wheneve he attends the school reunion annually he will always recall his school days before leaving, especially his final graduation duel with Judai which is one of his favorite duel in school.

I wonder if we will have a rematch again Judai. Ryo thought to himself. He missed dueling against Judai, because the latter was one of his few opponents who could give him a challenge. He was disappointed their final duel end in no result back at alternate dimension 5 years ago, since he rembered dueling Judai in order to snap him out from his guilt.

At Judai's house

Judai is excited to meet his old friends, he ironed his clothes, took a shower and shaved his facial hair and got dressed in his Slifer Red uniform, and he also received a text message from Sho who has invited him to stay at his house for few weeks. He then took his bag and Pharoh and bid goodbye to his mom before leaving.

Professor Banner is also excited to go to the reunion as he would see his young students from final year of his life once again, but now grown into successful adults who climbed until their ways as top Duelist. Yubel was reluctant to go so she still didn't like Judai's friendship with others but he assured her he will always be with her.

Before going to party Judai has to meet Peagasus at Industrial Illusion and Yugi Muto has invited him for lunch at his place.

He then took a train to visit Industrial Illusion.

At Industrial Illusion

Judai arrived at the main entrance of Industrial Illusion and he was amazed to see how beautiful the surroundings are.

"This sure is a awesome place, I wonder if Peagasus-san has some mission for me" Judai said in excitement

"I have a feeling it's not going to be serious". Yubel said to her lover, while her spirit appears next to him

"Well I am pretty sure he's offering something interesting". Banner added.

Then a security guard who is Peagasus right hand man emerge from the main entrance. The guard greeted the former Slifer and direct him to Peagasus office.

As Judai went to his office, Pegasus greeted him with a warm smile on his face and shook hands with former slifer.

"Its been a long time Judai-kun" Peagasus said after shooking hands with him .

"Same here it's good to see you too". JudaI replied with a smile.

"Peagasus-san is their anything you want from me?" Judai asked

"Yes Judai-kun, I know you have been travelling around the world for last 5 years, and you got offers to join several Pro league. I called you personally because I want you to join the Industrial Illusion Pro League, and our league needs strong Duelist like you, you can also take part in Pro Dueling Championship. You are also the candidate to become the next King of Games".Peagasus tries to convince Judai.

Judai is uncertain what to say and he is in dilenma.

"Well right now I am not sure but I will think about it". Judai replied with uncertainity. "Well...You see...I...I am not. He was then interupted by Peagasus.

"Its okay Judai-kun, I understand how you feel you can take your time but our league will always welcome you with open arms, so you can join anytime you want". Peagasus told him kindly and he understand what Judai is feeling at movement.

"Thank you so much Peagasus-san" JudaI said while bowing down to him.

Just then the door was knocked again, and Peagasus pushed the button to allow the visitor in and there stood Ryo.

"Peagasus-San a friend off..."

Ryo Marufuji froze when he saw Judai. His eyes widened in shock and his limbs seemed to stiffen. Judai gazed back at him, he had changed. His hair has grown longer reching past his chest, he is wearing a casual clothes. His face was more sharp but still maintained his challenging appearance, always ready to duel. The last time Judai met Ryo was at an event in Domino 4 years ago with Sho that was his first and last time seeing him post graduation. Judai was glad to see Ryo looked much better and healthy than he was the last him he saw him 4 years ago.

"Judai!" the former Kaiser cried, "Its been a really long time". Ryo is happy to see his worthy opponent again.

"Hey I missed you too Kaiser Ryo!" JudaI said soothingly, responding to his handshake, rather toI enthusiastically, as observed by Peagasus.

"If you don't mind can you please excuse me I have some work with Peagasus and then I will catch with you". Ryo told him kindly

"Sure ". Judai nodded and then left the office in order to give some privacy to them.

Judai was waiting outside the office for about 10 min, Ryo then showed up and both the men's left the Industrial Ilusion and decide to talk before leaving.

With Judai and Ryo

"Sorry if I kept you waiting for too long, W-Why are you here?" Ryo apologize for keeping him waiting and spoke in a more emotional voice. Judai was surprised to see Ryo become more open with his emotions.

"Pegasus-san has invited me to join his league but I am not sure about it". Judai said while rubing his head.

"I see, so you are still traveling, but you should at least earn for your living and be responsible, your now a adult ". Ryo advice to him

"You don't worry... I might join when I am free..So Kaiser how is your heart?"

"My heart is back to normal now, and it took 2 years for me to make a full recovery, but I am still in medication and thanks for asking. Ever since Ryo was found washed up in Academy beach 5 years ago, he lost all of his negative personality as He'll Kaiser and began to appreciate when people show concern to him. He has became more easy to approch.

"Kaiser you really have changed a lot and the old you was kind of picky". Judai said teasingly

"Is that so"

Judai looked at clock and it was 11:00 am

"Oh crap, I have lunch with Yugi-san I better get going". Judai hope to go before he was getting late.

"Judai before you go , there is something I need to ask you? will you be coming today? everyone is waiting for you including Sho"

"Off course I will, but keep it a suprise from others. Judai said with grin and Kaiser smile back and nodded in agreement

"I hope to have a duel with you Kaiser"

"Same here I have been waiting this moment for last 5 years" . Ryo chuckled as he accept Judai's challenge.

I thought he had changed a lot but he's still the same irresponsible kid". Ryo thought to himself as he smiled and watch Judai leave.

With Judai and Yugi

After meeting with Ryo and Peagasus, Judai was now taking a ride to Domino City. He only had to stop at 2 stations before arriving. He departed the train entered the city. It was 2:30 pm and Judai felt hungry and promised Yugi he would have lunch with him prior to reunion. Both of them have been good friends ever since Judai graduated.

After eating a hearty lunch, doing his best not to spill pasta in his cleaned outfit, JudaI discussed his travelling days with Yugi and they both also talked about joining forces with Yusei and defeating Paradox together.

"Alright enjoy your reunion". smiled Yugi, "And say hi to your friends on my behalf".

"I will Yugi-san". Judai replied cheefully.

Domino Plaza Marquee

After that he took his leave and sent off to the reunion, but as soon a he look at the clock, he realized he has spoken with Yugi for too long and he was 2 hours late.

Judai raced as fast as he could to his destination.

He arrived at a Domino Plaza Marquee, where it had been reserved to celebrate reunion.

Judai then turned behind him. There stood the marquee, lights flooding through it, some were flashing indicating a duel or two was going on inside. Judai was reluctant about going in , but with a nod from Banner, he entered.

Judai was seen and welcomed in with roars of cheers and masees of old classmates form whatever dorm they used to be in hugging and shaking his hands.

He then turned around looking for more cherished friends. He the accidentally bumped into a tall man with green hair.

"I am sorry". Judai apologized and when he look at gaze of the man it was non other than Yusuke Fujiwara who was holding a champagne glass in his right hand.

"Fujiwara Yusuke is it you?" . Judai asked, since he rembered him as one of his final opponents at Duel Academy.

"If I am not mistaken its you Yuki Judai". Fujiwara replied. "I am glad you still remember me" he added with a smile.

"Are you okay?" Judai ask and hope that Yusuke is back to his sense

"Yes I am and it's all thanks to you, Fubuki and Johan-kun, I wanted to thank you after your graduation but you left abruptly without even saying goodbye to your friends, but I am glad I got the opportunity to thank you". Fujiwara was glad he got a chance to thank Judai for saving him from Darkness and reuniting him with Honest, and he never thought he would get a chance to see Judai again.

"So Fujiwara I heard you graduated with Kenzen, so what are you doing? Are you in pro?". Judai is curious to know what Yusuke was up to.

"Yes I graduated a year after you all, actually I wanted to become a psychiatric doctor so I am currently a intern and after that I will be going back to Academy and work there as a doctor. I want to help people who are dealing with mental health issues". Thanks to the effort of Fubuki, Judai, and Johan, Yusuke is able to move past his trauma, and after coming back to his sense he went for many counseling and therapy session while he was completing his 3rd year with Kenzen. After the death of his parents his uncle took care of him until he was old enough to attend Duel Academy, however due to being paranoid with fear and loneliness Yusuke studied shadow games and Darkness and he was used as the latters pawn and vessel, and sent the entire school to World of Darkness. After being freed he felt remorseful and guilt but the entire school forgave him and when he rejoined as a 3rd year student many students want to be friends with him.

"Well I am glad you choose to become a doctor, when you do that you can connect with your patient and relate to how you feel. By the way did Kaiser and Fubuki-san came"?. Judai was glad to see he is doing well and he wants to meet Yusuke's 2 best friends especially Fubuki since he hasn't been in contact with him after graduation.

"They're both here Fubuki is busy flirting with his chicks, while Ryo is talking with our old classmates" Yusuke'' face turned into slight annoyance when he tells to former Slifer about Fubuki's fliriting.

"That's Fubuki-san after all" Judai sighed while rubbing his head.

"Is Honest with you?" Judai wants to meet Yuskue's partner Honest since he rembered saving Honest and adding him in his deck, until he returned it to Yusuke.

"Its good to see you again Judai". Honest greeted the former Slifer with a kind smile while appearing next to Yusuke and Judai greeted him back.

"Well I hope we meet again Judai, but my friends are waiting for me so I got to catch up with them and you should also catch up with your friends as well". And with that Yusuke set off to be with his old classmates during the party.

After talking with Yusuke, Judai turned around, looking for his friends. The most close one appeared to be standing by a table full of gourmet food in a buffet.

"Aniki"! Sho cried joyfully as he ran to embrace his best friend like he did frequently for 3 years during their stay at Academy. Both of them hug emotionally and since graduation Judai only gets to meet him twice or thrice a year. Sho has also grown a lot taller and his height has reached till Judai's earlobes

"Hi Sho!" Judai greeted, "How are you?"

"I am doing great!" replied Sho as he led his aniki to the buffet table, "Me and Ni-san are now dueling partners in the Pro Leagues!"

"Where is Chazz and Edo?". Judai asked the whereabouts off his two closest rivals, and was hoping to have a. rematch against them.

"Oh, Chazz left early because he has a duel schedule today". Said Sho. As for Edo he's planning his next open event of young Duelist, so he's not here".

"I see". Said Judai, "Did you and Kaiser duel against them?"

"When my Ni-san made a comeback in Pro 3 years ago his first rematch was against Edo and he was able to give him a payback and avenge his loss". Sho said proudly.

"Wow looks like Kaiser finally got his revenge". Judai said being proud of his rival. "Yes, but when he dueled against Chazz both of them ended in a draw." Sho added. "As for me when I dueled Edo, our duel ended in draw! We are that skilled.

"Wow!" Judai said, proud of their achievement.

Meanwhile Ryo, Fubuki and Yusuke were having a drink with their old clasmmates at a rounded table. Fubuki and Ryo were drinking non-alcoholic champagne. Like Sho Ryo doesn't drink alcohol or any other intoxicant drink because he hated to become drunkard and act insane, and Fubuki prefers to not to get drunkard whenever he's driving, because he doesn't want to get involved in car accident. While Yusuke and the rest of their classmates were having beer. They were celebrating their 10th anniversary enrollment to Duel Academy, and were talking about their days during their 1st and 2nd year and how different it would be had Fubuki, Yusuke and some of their friends who disappeared in abandoned dorm would've graduated alongside them 7 years ago. The celebration was then cut short when a former Ra Yellow student from their class wanted a duel from Fubuki and both of them went them went to the arena leaving their friends behind.

Meanwhile the conversation between Judai and Sho continued while Judai gouged at feast set before him. As he and Sho ate, Judai saw other familiar faces.

Rei Satome who is now a 18 year old dancer, was looking beautiful and dressed in a prom dress, she has even grown taller and is almost the same height as Asuka. Judai was expecting her to come up and hug him out of her love for him. But when she see him, she shyly looked in another direction. Judai shrugged and looked on. And he saw another old friend, who admired him as an older brother, Tyranno Kenzen. He was holding a chicken leg in each hand, ordering his juniors to stand up straight while eating.

Judai called to him

"Hey, Judai Aniki!" Cheered Kenzen.

"Good to see you". smiled Judai.

As Sho and Kennsen spoke fondly of old times, Judai finally began to fit in with his friends again. Banner and Yubel nodded in approval.

Judai soon was in party mode. As he danced with some girls from his class, he recognised two of them, Junko and Momoe, Asuka's two best friends. Judai walked over to them.

"Hi, Junko-san and Momoe-san". he soured over the music, "Where'a Asuka?"

"She isn't here, Judai!" caled Junko, "She's busy planning her work at Duel Academy for the first term of the year".

"What?" cried Judai, "Asuka is teaching at Duel Academy?"

"Yep". smiled Momoe, "she achieved her goals".

"Yeah, so have many of us". grinned Junko.

"Yeah...like Chazzy". blower Momoe dreamily.

Junko laughed at her friends adoration, and Judai seemed for some reason, dispirited. Asuka wasn't at reunion, it was dissapointing. But someone close to her was; Fubuki Tenjoin, Asuka's brother.

"Hey, Fubuki-san". called Judai.

Fubuki had just defeated a former R a Yellow in a duel and noticed Judai.

"Hi, Judai-kun, it's been a while". he smiled.

"I heard your sister is a teacher now". said Judai

"Yep". Sighed Fubuki, "Would''ve been better as a idol, in my opinion. She'a now the head of Obelisk girls dorm"

"Cool!" smiled Judai, "Hope she encourages her students to say gotcha that was a fun duel"

"Hahha!" laughed Fubuki, "Looks like you are starting to use that catchphrase again, Judai-kun?"

Judai smiled as he remembered that the last time he said that was with his newest friends Yugi amigo and Yusei Fudo.

"Yeah". He replied

"Hi Rei. How you doing?"

"Oh, hi Judai-sama". said Rei, far less enthusiastically as Judai had anticipated; it sounded more of a. greeting of friendship, than of infatuation.

Judai could only assume with age Rei grew out of her crush for him, much to his relief.

"How have you been, and how is your dance academy?" asked Judai.

"Good". said Rei, though she looked rather unconvincing, "You?"

"All good". said Judai, and for once, Judai was happy to reunite with his friends again, well all except Asuka...

Judai''s expression turned sad. It was unconsciously, and so it came as a surprise to Judai, when Fubuki appeared and said, "What's wrong Judai-kun?"

"Huh? Uh, nothing, Fubuki-san". replied Judai, snapping out of his daydream. Fubuki could tell that Judai was missing his sister.

"You must be missing Asuka...You know she also misses you as well...I suggest why don't you make a visit to island, she will be happy to see you" Fubuki suggested

"You got a point, maybe I will visit after I spend a few weeks with Sho. Judai said with a smile.

Yubel on the other hand, knew exactly what was going on Judai'a mind; he missed Asuka more than anyone he had been reunited tonight.

"So, Judai, how about a reunion duel?".

Judai and his group heard a familiar challenging voice and when they turned their back they saw it was non other than Ryo the former Kaiser of Academy.

"Ni-san you literally scared us". Sho sighed in his in usual comical fear.

Judai's interest sparked by to dueling. Oh! Kaiser I was planning to meet you but you showed up out of nowhere for a challenge, this a call back to your graduation duel 7 years ago". Judai replied with a grin

"It does bring back memories". Ryo agreed with a smirk.

"Anyway Kaiser as promise I shall accept your challenge, and I'd love to see how you improve in last five years".

Judai hadn't dueled Kaiser for many years and he couldn't wait to see Ryo'a new deck and strategies.

Meanwhile, someone was watching the part outside the marquee in the shadow of a tree. It was a man dressed in black hood and he gave a smirk of evil and ominous darkness of shadows yet to come.

Judai and Ryo agreed and set up in a place with crowd gathering around them just like their graduation duel, ready for this duel that would mark the return of Judai Yuki.

"Ready, Judai?" asked Ryo a he prepared his Duel Disk.

"Always ready, Kaiser Ryo! replied Judai, who also set up his deck and Duel Disk..

"Duel". Both Duelist about in unison as they began their duel.
