At the Obelisk Blue Girls Dorm with Asuka
It was night, Asuka sat on her bed and looked through her album with the photographs of her and her friends. She meets Junko, Momoe, Chazz, the Marufuji brothers, Chummley, Kenzen, Rei, Johan, Yusuke, Edo, and Jim every twice or thrice a year during the school reunion or alumni events. But she hasn't seen O'Brien and Judai for last 5 year's but she still remains in contact with the former and as for the latter she has no idea where he is and she hasn't seen or heard from him since graduation.
She still miss Judai a lot. She looked at his photographs taken during their 1st year and laughed a bit.
When she looked through the other photographs her tears dropped on it, she missed all of her dear friends deeply and wished, she could see them again.
Then suddenly her phone rang, she walked over to her night table and picked it up.
"Hello?" She said in the phone in her hand, and then a familiar voice echoed through the phone.
"Hey, Asuryn!" yelled Fubuki. She sighed, Fubuki even in this 5 year's he hasn't changed a bit.
"What is it Ni-san? Why are you calling me at this hour? Its already 11 PM ", She said.
"Actually, I just wanted to say, that I have bagged the lead role for my upcoming movie Death Witch and the production house said to me that filming will began in UAE and USA by next month Asuryn". Fubuki said,
"Really! That's great! Congratulations Ni-san. But I have a request please stop calling me Asuryn!". Asuka congratulated, being proud of her brothers success, but still annoyed he's using her embrassing nickname.
"Asuka I have something Iimportant to tell you". Fubuki said.
"What is it?" Asuka asked curiously.
"Guess who did I meet at the reunion party?". Fubuki hinted mischeivously
"Don"t tell you met Judai?". Asuka asked in disbelief.
"Yes I did, and he told me to send his regards to you"
"Really! How is he? and will he be coming to visit the island again?" Asuka asked emotionally, and she was glad Judai still remembered her .
"He's back to being a lovable dork that we all love and he really missed you during the party. But I think he might pay a visit to you all sooner than you expect". Fubuki replied.
"I see." Asuka muttered. "What about you Ni-san? Will you visit me?".
"Yep, I hope to visit you during weekends. Well that's all, goodnight Asuka, see ya during weekend" said Fubuki before he hung up. Asuka was so excited that Fubuki and potentially Judai would come to visit her again, so she totally forgot about her sadness.
She put her phone on her night table and her album next to it. She set her alarm, so she wouldn't oversleep the next day.
At The Marufuji Apartment
After spending a week with Judai, Ryo left Domino and went to Duel Academy to teach. Samejima gave him a part-time teachers license 2 years ago, after Professor Nakayama who is the teacher of Cyber Art Style dueling found out he was suffering from leukemia. Despite his condition, he wanted to teach while undergoing treatment, so whenever he leaves the island occasionally for his chemotherapy treatment, Samejima would ask Ryo to come and teach the students during Nakayama's temporary absence. Ryo didn't mind teaching and he actually like to teach because he wants to spread the Cyber Art Style legacy to several people, and he can also get many students to join his league after they graduated.
Whenever he's in school, Sho will manage the league successfully all alone, sometimes Edo, Johan, and Chazz would help him whenever they're free during Ryo'a absence. Ryo trust Sho because he knows his brother has become more sensible and responsible since going to Pro, but sometimes he would feel guilty for shouldering to much responsibilities to Sho and worried he might burden the young one.
After Ryo left , Judai and Sho spent several days happily dueling one another. Their strategies pulled out more and more surprise and their old strategies from school were sprung upon at the least likely times. They watched more Duel Tournaments and even dueled with the others deck to see how they are with the new strategies, but normally prefer to use their own deck.
After their second week together began, Judai was using the internet to look at the changes to Duel Academy. He saw many refits to the classrooms, including extensions for new classes and also new staffs. Replacing Professor Satou was Professor Sorano, and the new head of Obelisk Blue Girls Dorm was Professor Tenjoin. Judai's eyes fixed on both of this, He also learn that Chronos is expected to become the new chancellor, as Samejima was considering retiring.
Sho was interested in the progress of Slifer Reds, whom were more respected as the Duelist whose skills rivalled even Judai the King of Games of Slifer. They were most inspired by Judai and Sho himself, and they were being just as skilled as Obelisk Blues.
Both friends are proud they had inspired the Duelist to do their best, one in particular was very highly skilled before he left Duel Academy, claimed to be more powerful since Judai and Ryo. Satoru Tanjo. He had black hair and his Slifer Red uniform was mixed with black instead of white, and he had a prideful challenging look on his face.
"Reminds me of Chazz" laughed Sho.
They laughed heartily and made puns and comparison of Chazz and Satoru Tanjo, when Sho recived an e-mail.
"Hey, it's from Chazz." He said to Judai.
Judai went over and together they read it.
Hey Sho,
I heard Judai is staying with you for a time. Well, I'm not busy tomorrow, so I wish to meet you at your house in Domino City and Challenge Judai to a rematch. If you concede, say so in a reply. Get your deck ready, Judai, cos I certainly have to defeat him.
Chazz Princeton.
"A rematch" Sho muttered in a surprise tone.
Judai was surprised too, and very excited. "I wanted rematch with Chazz since the reunion". He creid. I can't wait for this! I need to prepare my deck!".
Sho smiles as he watched Judai get to work. Other than dueling preparing his cards was just the only work he had ever seen Judai do.
Judai worked through his decks, ready for the challenge ahead of him. He can't wait to use Chazz's Pro League deck... but he didn't know that deck was not going to be the same a he had seen on TV.
Duel with Judai and Chazz
Chazz arrived in Domino City the following morning, under Darkness's persuasive compulsion, he had made drastic changes to his deck.
He made his way over to the Marufuji's apartment and rang the doorbell.
Judai opened it and partially pulled Chazz through the door.
"Come on. Chazz! Lets have a fine lunch before our rematch!" He shouted excitedly.
"No Judai. My schedule's tight!" said Chazz boisterously.
"OOH!" teaser Judai.
"I can hear it up afterwards". Called Sho as he ran up, "Besides, I want to see this duel as much as either of you do".
Judai agreed and he and Chazz prepared their decks and Duel Disk.
In the biggest room of the house, Judai and Chazz stood in a face off prepared to duel at long last.
"I won't hold back, Judai". Chazz said warningly.
"And I wouldn't expect anything less!" called Judai, who could hardly control his excitement.
"Duel" Both the Duelist shout in unison.
Judai 4000 LP
Chazz 4000 LP
Turn 1 Judai
"As the challenger against the champion, I will go first". Judai said.
"I draw and summon Elemental Hero Clayman in defense mode, and I will set a card face down and end my turn.
Turn 2 Chazz
"My move" smirked Chazz, "I Special Summon Giant Power Grinder!"
A new monster was summoned to the field. It was Level 6 and had 2200 ATK
"How did you Special Summon it?" Judai asked curiously. He had never seen Chazz summon this monster before in the Pro League, and by the look on Sho's face neither had he.
"Simple Judai". replied Chazz, "To summon my Grinder, I had to discard my entire hand to the graveyard, and if I do summon it this way, I can destroy all cards in your filed!"
"What?" cried Judai.
Clayman and Judai's face down Hero Signal were wiped off the field and Judai was wide open to attack.
"Grinder attack Judai directly!" Shouted Chazz.
Judai got blasted off his feet and his LP dropped to 1800..
Judai laughed. "You have really improved, Chazz. But I can't wait for you to use your new strategies with your Ojamas later".
Chazz smirked. "You will have a long wait then, Judai".
Judai didn't like that look. "Why Chazz?"
"Because I removed the Ojama cards from my deck. All part of my new deck, just to defeat you". Chazz said.
"But why?" Gasped Judai, "Those guys were your friends, they helped you become successful."
"But lately, they have come very close to letting me down in the the duels" Said Chazz, "Besides I thought we were dueling, so I end my turn with a face down card".
Turn 3 Judai
"I draw." Said Judai, furious that Chazz was as vain as ever.
"I summon Elemental Hero Wildheart!".
Wildheart was 700 points weaker than Chazz's grinder.
"Next I activate the Field Spell, Skyscraper!" When my Wildheart attacks, he gains 1000 extra points! Wildheart, pound his Grinder into the dirt!"
Wildheart now has 2500 ATK
Chazz's monster was destroyed and his L.P dropped to 3700.
"I activate my Trap card, The Grave of Enkindling!" Chazz declated. "Since you destroy my monster on the field, we each select a monster from our graveyards and summon them in Defense mode, but we cannot change their battle position. I summon back my Grinder!"
"I summon back my Clayman". Judai said and then declared. "And I will end my turn with two cards face down!"
Turn 4 Chazz
"I draw, and I set two cards facedowns, then I will discard the remaining cards in my hand and Tribute my Grinder to summing Infernal Incinerator!"
The new monster appeared and had 3200 ATK
"My Incinerator has 400 extra points due the two monsters in your field! I will attack your Wildheart!"
"In that case, I use my Quick Play, the Flute to summoning Kuriboh. It lets me summon Winged Kuriboh!" Judai declared.
Kuriboh took the hit so Judai didn't lose any LP.
"You will have to do better than that Chazz." Judai said in full state of disappointment
"And I shall!" Chazz said darklely. "I end my turn".
Turn 5 Judai
"I draw and Tribute my Wildheart and Clayman for Elemental Hero Neos!"
"Now Neos attack your Infernal Incinerator!"
"In that case". Snarled Chazz, I will activate my Trap card, Spiritual Fire Art-Kurenai!. I can tribute my Incinerator and as it is a Fire-Type monster, my Trap inflicts its original ATK out of your LP".
Judai gulped, but remembered his face down. "I activate the Trap card, Elemental Sheild! If I were to take damage, my Sheild halves it as long as I control an Elemental Hero!"
Judai's LP still took a massive 1400 damage and he was left with 400 LP.
"But there's a serious flow in Chazz's strategy!" cried Sho.
"Exactly!" added Judai, "Now your monsters gone, Neos with the power boost of Skyscraper can now attack you directly, Chazz!"
Judai then saw Chazz's second face down and grew worried and considered halting his attack, but to his surprise, Chazz did nothing to fight back and his LP become 200 at a rapid rate.
"I end my turn with a face down". Judai concluded.
Turn 6 Chazz
"Its my turn. I use the Feild Spell, Power Workhouse demolishing your Skyscraper!"
Judai's Field Spell was replaced by Chazz's and the Power Workhouse had a very unappealing look about it.
"This spell allows me to lower up all monsters I summon by 500 as long as their attack power exceeds 2000!
Judai groaned.
"Now I summon V-Tiger Jet!" continued Chazz, "And I equip W-Wing Catapult to it, but I banish both without using Polymerization to Fusion Summon VW-Tiger Catapult!".
One of Chazz's powerful Fusion monster appeared, originally with 2000 ATK, but with Chazz's Power Workhouse, they increased to 2500 leveled with Neos.
"Now I use VW-Tiger Catapult's ability, which allows him to switch your Neos to Defense mode!".
"No! Neos" cried Judai.
"Now I wi I attack Neos with my Catapult!" Chazz yelled, and his monster destroyed Neos.
Judai cringed and grew cross. Chazz had seemingly learned nothing from their experiences together, and now he will do whatever it takes to defeat him and teach him a lesson.
"I end my turn with a face down!" Chazz concluded.
Turn 7 Judai
I have to do this for Chazz's own good. Judai thought.
"I draw". Judai saw a card and smiled,
"I activate Monster Reincarnation!" He continued, "By discarding Burstinatrix, I can resurrect Elemental Hero Neos!",
"Now Neos, attack Chazz's Catapult!" yelled Judai.
"In that case, I will activate my Trap Ring of Destruction!" Chazz declared quickly. "I can use it to destroy Neos, and his Attack points will come out of both of our LP.
Judai gasped.
"But then I will also activate my second Trap, "Power Reserve!" continued Chazz, "When a Trap that would inflict damage to me is activated, I can negate that effect, so only you will take damage Judai".
Judai smiled broadly, much to Sho's relief and Chazz's shock. "I activate my own card, Mystical Space Typhoon!"
"Noooz!" cried Chazz.
"With this Quick Play Spell, I can destroy your Ring of Destruction! Game over, Chazz!"
With Chazz's trap strategy destroyed Neo's attack was successful. The W-Tiger Catapult was destroyed and Chazz's LP dropped to 0 and Judai won.
"Gotcha that was a fun duel!"Judai grinned cheerily.
Chazz was blasted backwards by the destruction of his powerful Catapult and had brought himself up again. He was livid at his defeat and was about to insult Judai when he felt possessed by something, It was Darkness. Then as if he wasn't himself, he turned remorsefully to Judai.
Aftermath of the Duel
Judai and a cherry Sho looked at him Chazz spoke.
"I see I was stupid to throw away my Ojama cards, and I will search for them once again. I am sorry I didn't do better in this duel".
"Are you kidding, Chazz?" said Judai, "You almost won with that strategy. I am just glad you're all good again Good luck finding your friends!"
Judai held out his hand to shake and although it repulsed both Chazz and Darkness to do so, they shook it.
After an hour catching up, Chazz bid farewell to his friends and went to catch a train to home.
"Glad that you won, Aniki?" asked Sho,
"Yeah, but I am more glad I made Chazz realize his mistakes". Judai replied.
And they went back inside after waving Chazz off, but they failed to realise that as the door closed, Chazz turned and stated angrily in their direction.
"I will get a rematch, Judai, and I will get revenge with all the power I posses" He muttered, and he turned again and walked dismally to the station.
