Garin sighed deeply as he lay on the wood floor of The Black Pawkeet. He hadn't been sleeping much lately, he had too much on his mind. As he looked up to the stars, he sighed again.

" That's too many sighs for one night, pal." Said Jacques as he came and sat down next to Garin. " Wanna tell me what's up? You've been skipping meals and you haven't gotten any sleep for like, ever!"

Garin sat up to face his best friend. He and Jacques had always been tight, they would do anything possible to protect each other. He remembered when that stupid fat Bruce had hit him over the head during the fight for the ship. Jacques had jumped into the water to save him, without even hesitating. So he wouldn't either.

"It's just." he stopped and ran his hand through his hair. This wasn't easy for him. " I dunno. I guess I miss Isca, that's all. And, it's just been so boring here lately, no rich pets to steal from, no battles or wars going on, and not even a storm to have some fun with!"

Jacques smiled at that. " I knew you liked her!" he teased, jabbing at Garin. And it has been pretty boring. Wanna have a fight?"

At this, garin smiled as he replied, " Sure, but I can kick your butt any day!"

With that, they got to their feet and in their battle stances, and spent a few hours going around neither refusing to give up, and quit when they had no more energy.

Laughing, they sat down on the boards again and started looking at the stars.

"I wonder how many there are" said Jacques.

" Go ask the Space faerie." Replied Garin, closing his eyes.

" Do you believe in the space faerie?" Asked Jacques curiously, looking up.

Garin sat up, but before he could say anything, a shooting light came towards them.

" Watch out!" Yelled Garin as he pushed Jacques out of the way of the light .

" Owww!" groaned Jacques as he and Garin went tumbling across the deck of the ship. " What was that?" He asked Garin sitting up. But Garin had some how managed to get up and seemed to be talking to the glowing light. As Jacques got closer, he could see that the light was not just a light, but a light faerie.

"Garin?" He asked.

" You wanna have some fun?" Garin asked, turning around with a huge grin on his face, and clutching a rolled up paper.

To that, Jacques just gave him a quizzical glance, then tried to steal the paper from him.

"Lemme see it!"

" LET GO!"

"Gerroffame!"

They were jumping around everywhere, tumbling, stumbling, all that jazz. Finally, Jacques managed to steal it with a quick swipe of his blade. His eyes grew huge as he read, and when he finally looked up, he saw Garin leaning against the mast.

" You stole from the faerie queen, Fyora?" he asked in awe. "Since when have you been to Faerie World?"

"Yeah, well, it was a long time ago. I was beginning to wonder when she would figure it out." he said, starting to laugh.

" What happened?" Jacques asked, sitting down, wide eyed.

"Well," started off Garin, Closing his eyes as he sat down next to his best friend, " It was long ago. She had been sick, and had actually accidentally teleported me into her room. ( Yes, the Queen of all faeries can teleport!) Well, that sent her off the wall. She wanted to know all about me, so I told her about me, about us, and about our life. She was intrigued be my stories, apparently, being queen means no leaving your castle or having fun. So it went on for hours, swapping tales to each other. She may seem kinda preppie, but she's ok. Anyways, after a while she went to go do something, leaving me alone in her castle. So I started to wander around, and I soon found a weapon room." at that, his eyes glittered evilly. " There was this beautiful sword, ever so sharp, the design was spectacular, and the in script upon it was delicate. The sword was as light as possible, and the handle was meant for anyone to grip it. It was superior to the Maraquan sword in every way almost." he then turned to Jacques and asked, " would you like to see it?"

" WHAT!" Exclaimed Jacques, " you mean you actually have it?"

" But of course!" Said Garin, trying not to laugh, " You don't think I would sell or give anything that precious away, do you?" And with that, he headed to his room, Jacques right behind him. As he went through his room, Jacques closed and locked the door so that no one could come in, or see.

" Here it is!" Exclaimed Garin, as he pulled out a tiny case.

" You're joking, right?" Asked Jacques, picking up the tiny parcel.

" Don't be fooled by appearances, my friend." said Garin, as he took Jacques hand and helped him open the box he was struggling with. (After all, it had been years since the last time it was opened!)

When they had finally managed to open it, a series of lights shot out, illuminating a beautiful sword, hovering inches above the silk bottom of the box.

"Wow." was all Jacques could say as we looked at it in awe.

"Go ahead." said Garin, giving him a little nudge.

"Wha...what?" fumbled Jacques. " Are you serious, Garin?"

To that, Garin held out the word for him to take.

" Go on, give it a swing."

Slowly, Jacques picked it up, then gave it a few quick swipes.

" This is amazing!" He said as he put it back into its sheath.

" Well, Faerie world will be extravagant!" Exclaimed Garin as he went to hide the box again.

" So, are you ready to go?" Said Garin, walking over with an outstretched hand.

" Yeah," said Jacques, as he took his captains hand as he was pulled to his feet. " I'll follow you anywhere, bro."

At that, Garin broke into one of his famous grins.

"Then come on already! Wake the men, and get ready to go meet the most enchanting creatures ever!"

Jacques started to laugh as they left Garin's room. " And how, do you suppose, we get this hunk of ship to Faerie world? And do you even know where Faerie world is?" he asked.

" Just wake the crew, and leave the rest to me.

It had taken awhile, but finally, everyone was awake and on the deck. And they were not happy about that.

"What are we doing Captain?"

" Why'd you haft to get us up so early?"

" We going somewhere?"

"Quiet!" yelled Jacques, he was getting quiet annoyed by the crowd. He really wanted to go to Faerie World, and the crew wasn't making it any easier.

"Jacques?" He turned around to see Garin had a hand on his shoulder, looking concerned. " You all right mate?"

"Yeah, just annoyed." Was his reply.

Garin just laughed. "OK men! Haul the anchor, and clean the ship! Were going to Faerie World to meet Fyora!"

Silence for a bit, and then...

" Wat?"

" Are you feeling all right?"

"Your not serious."

" Some one find a Doctor."

" If you don't believe me, than just stand away from the sides of the ship." said Garin gravely, giving his crew a horribly cold stare.

" You heard the Captain! Move!" bellowed Jacques.

When the mumbling quite down, Garin went to the wheel and out of no where, a button appeared!

" I didn't know we had that." said Jacques as he came to examine the shiny red button.

" Yes, well. I've made a modifications since Scarblade. You remember that old geeza, Dr. Sloth or wat ever? We'll, let's just say there's a reason the Space Faerie defeated him in the last minute. " said Garin, sheepishly. "Anyways, go on, Press it."

Jacques obeyed, and as soon as he pressed the button, the ship gave a sudden jerk! Suddenly, crew mates were yelling as wings appeared on the sides of the ships, and then, they were off!

Garin grabbed the wheel, and it jerked again, but he quickly got the ship under control.

" This... should be interesting." Said Garin as he gave Jacques a helping hand up. ( He had fallen with that second jerk.)

"Oh, I can only imagine." Jacques said as he put an arm around his best buds shoulder.

"But no matter what, were in this together." They both thought as they sailed off into the sky, headed for their next big adventure..
