June 13th

Blaine rubbed his face tiredly as he hung up the phone in his office. They had released the album two days ago and it had been non-stop since then. The sales had been quite successful and they had the official wrap party immediately after. Kurt had behaved himself quite well and Blaine was so proud of him. He seemed a little dazed and disbelieving that it was happening to him. They left that night exhausted, but high on success and spent the rest of the night making love.

The next day was a blur of interviews and phone calls and the band mates pinching each other to make sure it was real. They climbed the charts and decided to have a little unofficial wrap party at Bayard's that night. The mood was light and joyful and this time Blaine danced with everyone and celebrated without anything holding him back. He and Kurt shared little looks and secret touches throughout the night, Elliott smirking knowingly. Kurt had been tired, but so so happy and Blaine was happy for him.

Wes was in the clouds with the success and while his boss' pride felt nice, Blaine couldn't help but feel like he was lying to him since he hadn't disclosed his relationship with Kurt. They had agreed to keep their relationship quiet, focusing instead on their work.

Blaine hadn't really freaked out about his relationship somehow. He was kind of waiting for the other shoe to drop, but so far he had been much too busy to have a moment. It helped that Kurt reassured him at every turn and was so sweet to him.

He smiled at another text from Kurt. The singer was supposed to be doing a photo shoot with the others in the band, but he was somehow doing his best to irritate him. Blaine didn't mind of course, finding it endearing that Kurt would rather be texting him than anything else.

I don't know if our budding love can survive this Blaine. Please tell me you are fucking with me. -Kurt

I swear I'm not. We can agree to disagree surely? -Blaine

I will die on this hill. The original was trash. Green apple is the way of the future and you people are ruining my life. -Kurt

The lime is the best! Lemon and lime are best friends! They all go together. The green apple was a huge mistake. -Blaine

Lime belongs with salt and tequila. NOT IN MY SKITTLES YOU DISGUSTING FREAK!!!! -Kurt

That's not what the majority of people say. That's why they went back to the lime -Blaine

AJDISJKSAIJFSDIJDSF THEY WENT BACK TO THE LIME BECAUSE THE STUPID LIME PEOPLE WERE BEING LOUD AND OBNOXIOUS! ITS JUST PANDERING AND I WILL NOT STAND FOR IT!!!! GO SIT IN THE CORNER AND BE WRONG!!!!!!!! -Kurt

Blaine shook his head with a fond smile. He might be exhausted, but he was happy. This was a good feeling. He wondered if Kurt had plans for dinner. He kind of wanted to see him. He was aware he was pathetic, missing his boyfriend after just spending almost the whole day with him the previous day.

I have a question -Blaine

Yes, I'll fuck you. -Kurt

Or you can fuck me, I'm not picky. -Kurt

Blaine rolled his eyes, but grinned and started to text Kurt back. His office phone rang before he could compose his text and he groaned. If this was another call from Puck about doing a nude photo shoot, he would probably scream.

"Hello?"

"Hey, Blaine," Jeff's soft voice came over his line. "Can you come up to Wes' office?"

Blaine checked his watch. "I can come in like an hour? I've got some stuff to finish up."

"He wants to see you now," Jeff insisted gently. "Um… I think it might be about you and Mr. Hummel," he whispered.

Blaine's world tilted and he felt his head get fuzzy. "Oh… Okay. I'll be there soon."

"Sorry, Blaine. I wanted to give you a heads up."

Blaine felt sick. Everything was over. Was he going to be fired? Would Kurt get into trouble? He would feel like shit if he was the reason the band was broken up. He remembered that guy getting fired a few months ago for dating the talent. What if Kurt had to break up with him? He would be crushed. Just when he was finally happy. Blaine realized between his sharp breaths that his cell phone buzzed and he picked it up.

Is this the beginning to a cheesy joke? -Kurt

Hey, why did your boss call me to the office? Everything okay? -Kurt

I think he knows about us. I'm so sorry Kurt -Blaine

Fuck. I'll be there soon. -Kurt

About twenty minutes later, Blaine was sitting outside Wes' office, his tie loosened so he could breathe. Jeff watched him in concern from his desk just as the elevator dinged and Kurt came rushing out dressed in a hoodie and some jeans. He must have come straight from the shoot because he wasn't dressed up how he normally would be. As Kurt caught sight of Blaine and hurried towards him, he absently realized that was one of his hoodies and thought how cute Kurt looked in it. Then Kurt was in front of him hugging him tightly. Blaine didn't realize how upset he was until Kurt had him in his arms and tears pricked his eyes.

"It's gonna be okay," Kurt soothed in his ear. "I promise I wont let them fire you."

Blaine was trying to formulate words to say he was worried about Kurt and the band when Kurt pulled away and grasped his hand. "Let's go."

"This way Mr. Hummel. Blaine." Jeff opened the door to Wes' office and Blaine thought his heart would pound out of his chest. Kurt looked calm and unfazed, striding into the office like he owned it.

Wes and David were speaking quietly to one another, but looked up as they entered. They waited for Jeff to shut the door before Wes indicated the seats across from him.

"Hey guys." His eyes brushed over their joined hands. Blaine almost lost his nerve, but Kurt held on boldly. "So I suppose it isn't a rumor, huh?"

Blaine just knew he would pass out. His fears were confirmed. They were going to fire him. All his hard work down the drain. The only positive was that The Lima Losers were so successful that they probably wouldn't be fired.

"No, it's not a rumor." Kurt's tone was superior and he had his chin up. How he had the nerve to look offended boggled Blaine's mind. They were the ones in the wrong here. "We are dating, but we are keeping it professional. Since that one incident, we haven't let our personal relationship affect our jobs. Furthermore, this man is the poster child for being professional. He follows all of your rules no matter how much of a wet blanket it makes him. He never drinks on the job even when I promised him sexual favors. And I give amazing sexual favors. Blaine wouldn't date me for the longest, citing your frankly stupid rule against fraternizing with the talent, but I pursued him. I convinced him to be with me and it was a bitch of a thing, let me tell you. Blaine Anderson is the epitome of professional and if you fire him, I will throw a huge fit and sue! I will unleash all my Twitter followers—"

"Whoa! Hang on." Wes held up a hand. He looked kind of amused.

David's eyes flew back and forth between them and he fought a smile.

Blaine's eyes had widened more and more as Kurt's impassioned speech had gone on. He couldn't believe Kurt had said all that!

"Please calm down, Mr. Hummel. No one is getting fired or sued. I hope."

"What?" Blaine asked.

Kurt looked confused as well, like he had been expecting a little more fight.

"Let's back up," Wes said. "I just need you both to sign this that officially states on record that you're in a relationship and sign a few things that protect the company and the band in case of a break up. Which is why David is here." He smiled warmly at the two of them. "And I wanted to wish you the best. I promise no one's in trouble."

Blaine's mouth had fallen open and Kurt looked at him stunned. That was totally not the reaction either off them had expected.

"But… But what about Abbot?" Blaine asked. "Nick told me he got fired for dating the talent."

Wes scrunched up his nose. "Nah, he got fired for harassing the talent and some of the interns. He wasn't fired for dating one. Because of legal reasons, I can't disclose any more details than that, but he was trash. You aren't the first person to date a client, Blaine. It's not my favorite, but out of anyone, I know you would be a stickler for the rules. I'm not worried."

Blaine sat back. "Okay. Um, I'll sign."

The next few minutes were spent with David guiding them through the paperwork and both were breathing easier by the time they were done.

Wes asked Kurt if they could speak to Blaine alone and he nodded, kissing Blaine on the cheek before leaving. Blaine was trying not to blush at the show of affection as Wes cleared his throat.

"I would be remiss to not remind you to be careful, Blaine. I meant what I said, I trust you and I know you won't be irresponsible, but just keep in mind you have to be careful."

"Of course. It just kind of happened." Blaine rubbed his neck. "I'm sorry I didn't tell you, but it was kind of a long process…"

"We know," David chimed in as he stacked the freshly signed papers together and dropped them in a briefcase. "You have a right to privacy."

"That being said, how's it going?"

Blaine glanced from David's curious face to Wes'. He was slightly taken aback. They genuinely seemed interested.

"Uh, it's really good." Blaine smiled bashfully and felt his face heat up. He hadn't really gushed about Kurt to anyone and he was having trouble restraining himself to just playing it cool. "He's just… I'm happy."

Wes' grin widened and he did a little clap. "Awwww."

"Look how pink he is," David teased.

"It's really nice seeing you like this, Blaine." Wes leaned forwards. "I know I'm technically the boss, but know that I consider you a friend and I'm rooting for you."

"Wow." Blaine was touched. "That's really nice. Thank you."

"Yeah, yeah." He waved it away and nodded towards the door. "Now get out of here."

Kurt was waiting for him out in the hall when he left the office. He felt lighter than he had in the longest time. Now he didn't have to hide his relationship at all and that felt great. Kurt had been chatting with Jeff who was blushing at the attention. Kurt tended to have that effect on people.

"Hey," Kurt said, all smiles as he approached Blaine with his hands stuffed into the hoodie. "Everything good?"

"Yeah. Everything is great." He couldn't wipe the smile off of his face. It was like it was carved in permanently. "We don't have to hide anymore. I can kiss you!" He did and Kurt laughed into it. "I can hold your hand! I can tell Jeff that I love you!"

Kurt's smile melted from his face and he stared at Blaine with something like wonder. "You love me?"

Oops. He hadn't wanted to blurt it out in the middle of his workplace like that, instead wanting to wait until they were having a romantic dinner or a coffee date, but there it was. If the way Kurt's face lit up was any indication, he didn't really care either.

Blaine stood a little straighter. He was still scared to death inside, but he trusted Kurt. "I… I do. I love you!"

Kurt kissed him hard and breathlessly like they were in some old black and white movie.

"Awwww!" Jeff cooed as he took their picture with his phone. "Nick is going to die! He's been shipping you two forever!"

Kurt let Blaine go and he stumbled back dazed and smiling. "Are you free to go home?"

Blaine nodded, still a bit overwhelmed by this whole rollercoaster of an afternoon.

Kurt's eyes glowed as he tipped Blaine's chin up with a finger. "Come home with me and let's reacquaint your dick with my tongue."

"Kurt!"

Jeff raised his eyebrows and tried to go back to his work. They probably needed a minute.

Kurt threw his head back and cackled maniacally before dragging Blaine to the elevators. Things were definitely looking up.

July

The rest of June blew by in a whirlwind of work, work, work. Before they knew it, it was mid July and there was rumors of awards buzz and requests for a tour. The album was climbing up in the charts and they stayed pretty busy, doing local shows and a few out of state.

Kurt and the others were getting recognized pretty much everywhere he went and Blaine couldn't be more proud. They had already planned to eat lunch together when Blaine got a text from his mother saying she was in the state for work. He asked Kurt if he minded eating with his mom and was pleasantly surprised when Kurt was excited for it.

Probably the biggest surprise of all was how hard Kurt was trying to impress his mom. He was charming and funny, complimenting her and Blaine every chance he got. He didn't say one crude thing and Blaine said so with an amused smile when his mother went to the bathroom.

"I do, in fact, have manners," Kurt retorted as he sipped his tea. "I just choose to ignore them most of the time. It goes with my image."

"You're trying too hard," Blaine said gently, covering Kurt's hand with his own. "She will love you for who you are, just like me."

"Fine, I'll make a blowjob joke," Kurt snarked without any heat. He turned his hand over to grasp Blaine's.

"Don't make a blowjob joke," Blaine insisted. They shared a smile that said more than words could.

Later, as Blaine was dropping his mom off at the airport and Kurt had gone back to rehearse with the band for a show, she hugged him close.

"Are you smelling me? I promise I haven't been smoking," he sassed.

"Can I hug my son without ulterior motives?" she sassed back.

She held him back at arm's length so she could get a good look at him, hands still grasping his sleeves. "You look relaxed."

"If you could see me at work you would know that's not the case."

"Not like that. A happy sort of relaxed. Like you used to get when you sorted your bow ties or when you played music."

"Mom," Blaine whined, embarrassed.

"It's a good look." She arranged his hair in that way that only a mother does and blinked rapidly. "I'm just happy you're happy. You are happy, right?"

"Mom…" Blaine hugged her to him and pressed a kiss to her hair. "I'm very happy. And I'm so glad I got to see you."

They embraced until the call for her flight came and Blaine waved her away with a full heart.

August

In August, they had their first real fight.

They had had disagreements, of course, and bickered here and there, but they hadn't really gotten angry with one another until one evening that Blaine had finished work early and he knew Kurt had been done for awhile. He eagerly called his boyfriend on his way out to invite him over for dinner as he popped in a piece of his nicotine gum.

"That sounds amazing," Kurt said tiredly. "It's been a bitch of a day. Text me when you're here and I'll help you carry stuff."

Blaine chewed his lip. "I was hoping you could come over to my place? It's not that I don't love hanging out there, but you guys don't always have the stuff I need to cook."

Kurt was silent and Blaine wasn't sure if it was good or bad. He decided to tempt Kurt with a sure-fire suggestion.

"You haven't ever gotten to feel my bed. It's super comfy and sturdy if you get my meaning."

"So my kitchen and my bed sucks?"

Ah. So it was a bad silence.

"No! It's just I wanted to be the host for once. Your place is great! Santana would probably like a night on her own anyway since I'm constantly there." He hadn't brought Rachel up in awhile since it was just a sore subject, but maybe Kurt had warmed to the subject. After much groveling, he had pretty much forgiven her for lying to him, but he wanted to stay out of what happened between Kurt and her. "Rachel is out of town—"

"It's not about Rachel!" He snapped, which informed Blaine that it was about her. "I just am exhausted and I want to go home!"

"Well, I think you're being unfair and too damn sensitive. I come to your place all the time. It's ridiculous that you won't even come to my home because of Rachel."

"Well, sorry I'm such an inconvenience for you! It's not about her! This is about us."

"You aren't an inconvenience! Stop putting words in my mouth!" yelled Blaine.

"Stop blaming my problems with Rachel on your own issues!" Kurt yelled back.

They finally hung up on each other and ignored each other for the rest of the night. Blaine cried, thinking this was it, Kurt was finally done with him and cried even harder in relief when Kurt texted him around one in the morning.

Roses are red. Violets aren't blue. Poems are hard. I'm sorry and I love you -Kurt

Blaine laughed wetly and texted him back.

Knock-knock - Blaine

Who's there? - Kurt

Iowa - Blaine

Iowa who? - Kurt

Iowa you an apology - Blaine

Oh my god Blaine, that's your worst one yet - Kurt

Blaine called him.

"I'm sorry," he said, his voice sounding like he had a cold since he had been crying so hard. "I wasn't trying to bring Rachel into this. I really do love going to your place."

"No, I'm sorry," Kurt replied. His voice was a bit gravely like maybe he had been crying too. "I got all defensive. I was tired and cranky and I took it out on you. Maybe it is kind of about Rachel."

Blaine wiped his nose on a tissue. "I know. But I shouldn't push. I just have some other unpleasant memories in this place I would rather replace with new ones. Preferably ones with you naked." They both laughed at that and Blaine blew his nose again. "Your poems need work."

"It's not my best work, but it kind of rhymed… It was better than your joke. You can't see it, but I'm doing bunny quotes around the word joke because it was awful."

"Well, you literally write songs. How do you suck at this?"

"Hey! We can't all be tens at everything," Kurt chuckled and sniffed. "I mean, I'm amazing at so many other things."

"You are," Blaine laughed into the phone.

He was feeling much better the next day, especially after Kurt brought him coffee and apology kisses before their band meeting. He had gone on, pretty much forgetting about the fight and intending on making Kurt a nice dinner to make up for it. He was on a particularly boring phone call in his office when his door opened and Kurt slid in, locking it behind him.

"Yes. That's fine," he said into the receiver as he raised an eyebrow at Kurt. "What are you doing?" he mouthed as the man pressed his back to the door and smiled secretively at him.

Kurt didn't answer, but only swayed towards him with his hands clasped behind his back.

"I did get the email about the deadline, but I'm not sure how feasible…" he trailed off as Kurt perched on the edge of his desk. He got déjà vu remembering the last time when Kurt had kissed him in here months ago. "How feasible it would be to… to…" He started to lose his train of thought when Kurt peeled off his shirt and tossed it aside. Blaine's eyes devoured his pale skin.

"What the hell are you doing?" Blaine hissed as he covered the mouthpiece with his hand.

Kurt shrugged and began to slide a finger down Blaine's jaw, then his neck which jumped under his touch, then to his shirt which he began to unbutton. He hadn't worn a tie that day for some reason, but he wasn't really thinking about that now. "I thought since I was so mean to you yesterday that you deserved makeup sex today," he hummed in Blaine's ear, his voice like silk.

"In my office?" Blaine squeaked as Kurt climbed into the seat with him, kissing his throat and behind his ear. His hand skimmed up Blaine's thighs.

"I got something I wanted to show you." Kurt made a pouty face. "Unless you are still mad at me?" He leaned forward and sucked on Blaine's bobbing Adam's apple.

The poor man's brain was short circuiting with the way Kurt was touching him much too lightly and worshiping his neck with his tongue and lips. A buzzing noise distracted him and he was mortified when he realized that he was still on the phone.

"Hi, hello! Sorry! Can I call you back? There's something on my desk that needs my attention." He barely even said goodbye before he tossed the receiver onto its cradle and attacked Kurt's lips, hungrily kissing him. Kurt moaned into his mouth and kissed back just as ferociously as Blaine. Kurt climbed all the way into the seat with him and they slid backwards away from the desk with the motion. Kurt was straddling him all the way now, but kept his hips up where Blaine got no friction, holding Blaine's thighs down with his own legs.

"Kurt…"

"Don't you want to see what I bought?" Kurt murmured against the lobe of Blaine's ear.

He tightened his grip on Kurt's ass. "Yes."

Kurt chuckled and nipped Blaine's ear, causing him to squeak again and jerk his hips up in his chair. The thing groaned and wobbled precariously, nearly dumping the men onto the floor. They giggled and Kurt slid off of Blaine and dug into his jeans pocket. He pulled out a shiny thing that looked like a T, thick at the top and a little ball at the bottom.

"What's that?" Blaine asked breathlessly. He honestly had no clue, but knowing Kurt, it was something he would like.

"This, my dear, is a better show than tell. Just sit back and relax."

Blaine gulped and tried to do just that, realizing now that Kurt wasn't on top of him that his shirt was undone all the way and pushed back. He thrilled a little knowing that he was at work and anyone could come in… Well, not really since the door was locked, but still… It was kind dangerous. Was he an exhibitionist? Was that something he was into? He had always been such a rule follower…

While Blaine was having his internal crisis, Kurt had kneeled on the floor in front of Blaine's chair and removed his tongue stud. He then unscrewed the ball of the other little contraption and slid it into his pierced hole. Blaine watched all this happening and his dick twitched in anticipation. The new little bar spread flat over Kurt's tongue and he twisted something and then grinned happily at whatever he had done.

Blaine leaned back in apprehension. "What? What did you do?"

"Can I show you?" His voice sounded a little funny and Blaine nodded. He trusted Kurt.

Kurt, still shirtless, tugged open Blaine's belt and unzipped his pants. He kept his bright eyes on Blaine as he pulled Blaine's half hard cock out of his underwear.

Blaine was working on breathing as Kurt pumped him once, then twice. "You know, I've fantasized about doing this so many times." The bigger bar in his mouth caused a slight lisp, but it didn't seem to bother him. Kurt licked his lips and leaned forward. "You don't know how many times I've gotten off to this fantasy, so if I come in my pants, I'm sorry."

Without any warning, he sunk down on Blaine. The sudden wet warmth and suction made him claw at the arms of his chair. In addition to the general lovely feeling, Kurt's tongue was literally vibrating and he slid his tongue against the base of his dick then up to the tip.

"Holyfuckingshit, Kurt! What— Oh! Oh my god!"

Kurt chuckled and sucked harder, pressing the bar against him harder and Blaine arched out of his chair. Kurt glided the vibrating bar along the underside of his dick and Blaine could only hold on for dear life. His licked down further to cup Blaine's balls and suck one at a time into his mouth and pressed the tongue bar into them. Blaine could only watch Kurt's head bob up and down over and over, everything feeling incredible. The vibrations were pushing Blaine to the edge and the way Kurt swirled his tongue around him was scream inducing. Kurt had to cover his mouth with his hand to muffled Blaine's cries until he threw his head back against his seat and buried his own fingers in his hair.

"Kurt, Kurt… Oh my god, Kurt!"

Blaine's voice pitched high on the last chant of Kurt's name as he came down Kurt's throat with a shout and collapsed back into his chair. The vibrations were too much as Kurt licked him clean, swallowing everything down and he jumped a little at the over sensitivity.

Pulling back and wiping his mouth with the back of his hand, Kurt grinned up at Blaine triumphantly and began to switch his studs out.

Blaine tucked himself back into his pants with a shaky hand and yanked Kurt up into his lap as soon as he was within reach. He claimed his mouth in a hard, bruising kiss. He could feel how hard Kurt still was and he hastily undid Kurt's pants as they continued to kiss sloppily. Kurt shoved Blaine's hand down into his pants without pulling them down and he got the idea, pumping him quickly as Kurt thrust into his fist. It didn't take long for Kurt to come, fists clenched in Blaine's shirt collar and forehead smashed against Blaine's.

Then Kurt wrapped his hand around Blaine's wrist, pulled his hand out, and licked that clean. Blaine thought he was going to faint from all the blood rushing back to his groin. Kurt eyed him the entire time he did it, sucking suggestively on each digit and his teeth scraping Blaine's knuckles.

"Shit, Kurt. You're going to kill me."

Kurt hummed as he swiped up the last of the mess and winked at Blaine. "Just fulfilling my fantasies, babe. It's not about you."

Blaine huffed out a laugh and they began to look for all of their clothing. Then Kurt crawled back into Blaine's lap in his chair and wrapped his arms around Blaine's neck.

"Do you accept my apology for being a bitch to you?" he asked in between languid kisses.

"You were forgiven last night, but I have to say I like the way you apologize." Blaine tightened his grip on Kurt's hip. "Can we please talk about it though? Are you really so adverse to even hearing her out that you won't come into the apartment?"

Kurt made a noise of frustration and buried his face in Blaine's neck. "What if you just kick her out and solve all our problems?"

"That would literally create a problem for me. She pays half my rent. And she signed a lease."

"Just claim she tried to kill you and it will be fine."

Blaine gave him a look. "Doesn't help me with rent though," he retorted.

Kurt pulled his face from Blaine's chest with an excited smile. It took Blaine all of three seconds to realize what Kurt was insinuating and he froze. They had only been dating a few months and it ruined all the relaxation his orgasm had just achieved. Kurt wanted to live together? How would they do that? Should they do that? What if Kurt moved in and he hated it? What would happen then?

Suddenly Kurt burst into laughter and smacked a kiss on his cheek. "Oh my god, you should see your face right now. I'm totally joking! I should probably be offended."

"No! It's not that I don't want to! I don't think we are ready. I didn't want to hurt your feelings, but it's not that I don't want to…"

"Shhh," Kurt pressed a finger to Blaine's lips. "I don't have feelings."

Blaine gave him another look and he laughed again. "You're giving me a headache," Blaine mumbled around his finger before biting it gently.

"Please, all I've ever given you is fun and orgasms." He winked as Blaine rolled his eyes. "Oh! Look!" Kurt wriggled around in Blaine's lap until he freed his phone from his pocket and went to his text messages. He scrolled through as Blaine rested his chin on Kurt's shoulder and kissed his neck while he waited. Making a triumphant noise, Kurt held up the screen proudly.

It was a picture of Burt in a store holding up one of Kurt's albums and a receipt to show he bought it. Blaine huffed out a little laugh and took in Burt's barely restrained pride.

"How adorable."

"I know." Kurt stared at the picture a few more moments and then tossed the phone onto Blaine's desk. "He wants to come see a show, but I don't think he's ready."

"Well, listening to that will prepare him for you live."

Kurt threw his head back and laughed. Blaine's heart flipped at the sound.

"I would give anything to be there when he hears some of my songs. I should ask Carole to record it."

Blaine hugged his boyfriend to his chest even though he was still shaking with laughter and thought maybe living together wouldn't be that terrible. One day.

September

Since they had visited Lima in June, Blaine and Cooper had texted each other a few times. Blaine wouldn't say they had a completely perfect relationship, but it was something which was more than he could say for it in the past few years.

The first FaceTime came one night when Blaine was trying to catch up on some paperwork and Kurt was making them dinner while he worked on a new song. He would quietly hum or sing some lyrics to himself, lean over to his notebook and scribble something down onto a wrinkled takeout menu he found. Blaine loved watching him write something new which was why his laptop sat dark and he kept his eyes on his boyfriend.

"You aren't working," Kurt chided him as he gave him a look over his shoulder.

Blaine shrugged, not sorry in the slightest Kurt had caught him ogling him. "I'd rather watch you."

"Well I'd rather you finish that so I can spend several hours licking every inch of you." He scooted the chicken onto a plate, saying it so matter-of-factly. Blaine shivered at the thought. He was about to recommend Kurt put dinner away for the time being when his phone rang with the video call.

He gave Kurt a torn look and the man just grinned impishly and nodded to his phone. "Answer it. I'm not going anywhere."

Blaine did as Kurt leaned on the counter on his elbows.

"Heya squirt! How's it going?"

Blaine narrowed his eyes at Cooper's face on the screen. "I thought we weren't using that name anymore?"

"No, I said I would stop calling you that when you grew another inch and it never happened. Oooh, is that the rocker boyfriend?"

Kurt waved and padded over to Blaine. "Hi. It's Kurt."

"I've been listening to your album and I've got to say, it's pretty awesome."

Kurt blushed. He actually blushed and toyed with an earring. "Thanks. We all worked hard on it. Blaine really gave it that extra push, too." He hip checked the younger Anderson.

"Well, he comes by the music genes honestly. You know, I almost went into music, but I enjoy acting more." He was stroking his chin.

"Oh really? You sing too?" Kurt giggled and flashed Cooper his flirting smile. Blaine frowned. What the actual hell was going on?

Cooper was like a blood hound when it came to people attracted to him. He could sniff it out. His eyes lit up and he winked at Kurt. "I can sing and play guitar. You should totally put me on your next album." He leapt up and ran out of frame, calling back over his shoulder, "let's have a jam sesh!"

What was happening?

Before he knew it, Kurt had scampered off to get his own guitar and they spent the next hour playing songs and goofing around. Blaine did have to admit it was fun even if his VERY STRAIGHT BROTHER flirted with Kurt every chance he got and Kurt didn't seem to mind.

When they finally bid Cooper goodnight with the promise to call again soon, Kurt stretched like a cat on the couch while Blaine rubbed his face tiredly.

"I bet the food is cold," Kurt remarked with a yawn. "It will probably warm up fine. Wanna be dessert?"

Blaine leveled him with a glare. "You have the audacity to ask me for sex when you spent this whole evening flirting with my brother?"

Kurt's yawn broke into a laugh at his boyfriend's face. "Oh come on! Did you see the way he held that note earlier? Reaffirmed my goddamn sexuality. He has a decent voice— Blaine? Where are you going? Are you really mad?"

"You are sick!" Blaine shrieked. "He's my brother! I'm not going to talk about his hotness with you!" Blaine shuddered in disgust. "That's gross, even for you!"

Kurt was struggling not to laugh. "I was just kidding! Don't be mad! Blllaaaaaineee!!! Come back!"

Blaine muttered dark things and grabbed his chicken before storming into Kurt's bathroom and locking the door.

Kurt had to spend the rest of the night coaxing his boyfriend out with the promises of a massage and that he would never look at Cooper again. He had pretty much been joking flirting with Cooper, but he hadn't realized how it struck a real nerve. After the massage and ice cream Blaine made Kurt go buy him as penance, they snuggled together on the sofa and Blaine told Kurt about his relationship with Cooper and how it had always been strained. He told him how everyone seemed to prefer his brother over him, except for their father who didn't want either of them. Kurt spent the rest of the night fawning over Blaine and whispering how much he loved and wanted him.

October

Although they stayed rather busy, they still found time to hang out with Kurt's band mates outside of work and go on some double dates with Nick and Jeff. When going out got more difficult as Kurt got more famous, they ate in a lot more.

Blaine had actually grown a lot closer to Santana when they found out they had a mutual love of Haunting of Hill House. They annoyed Kurt with references so much that he demanded to watch it too even though he hated scary shows. Blaine had also left some of his homemade bread at Kurt's and she had gotten addicted to the stuff. Blaine was just happy he had someone who appreciated his bread.

They found little moments to be together, but it didn't bother them. They were both so passionate about work that they didn't get upset. They made it work, a quick lunch date here, a few stolen moments in Blaine's office there.

Blaine went to as many of their shows as he could, including one on Halloween night. Kurt had been kind of bummed they couldn't go to one of the many Halloween parties they had been invited to, but the show was fantastic and Blaine made it up to him later when Kurt finally spent the night at Blaine's place.

He still wouldn't talk to Rachel, but at least he was breathing the same air as her. Blaine counted that as a win.

November

Somehow they were able to make it back to Ohio for Thanksgiving. Blaine and Kurt flew back with Tina and Puck since all their families still lived there. They spent a whole day with Blaine's mom and Cooper, Kurt trying really hard not to flirt with the eldest Anderson. Knowing it bothered his boyfriend, Kurt just pretended to not realize Cooper was flirting as Blaine chased his brother away. They watched old home movies and ate pie and laughed until they cried.

Dinner with the Hummels was just as fun, Carole, Blaine, and Kurt all cooking together while Burt snuck tastes of everything and kept them entertained with embarrassing childhood stories about Kurt. Later when they had snuggled in bed together, Kurt whispered about how things used to be with Finn there and Blaine held him when a few tears escaped. He said Burt used to watch the game with his stepbrother while Kurt helped Carole, but he hadn't been able to watch it since they lost him.

December

By the time Christmas rolled around, everyone had earned another well-deserved break after a Christmas Eve music special they taped. They welcomed Burt and Carole to New York since Blaine's mom was working and Cooper had plans. It was nice getting to show them around some more and Kurt secretly pretended they were all a family already. He didn't want to frighten Blaine, so he kept his thoughts to himself.

He kissed Blaine on New Year's Eve with promise though, and wondered what the next year would bring them. He had no idea that just around the corner was a threat to their relationship he hadn't seen coming...
