-World's End-

-Introduction-

Today the world was gone.

Today, one billion, four hundred and fifty six million people were killed in one violent act of madness. Android Seventeen who was backed into a corner after the death of Android Eighteen baited the enraged half Saiyan Trunks into firing off his strongest attack directly at him, and in one suicidal push, dived right right into the planet with the attack before he was disintegrated along with the planet by the insane power of the Super Saiyan's Burning Attack. Before Trunks could stop it, everything was gone.

The explosion was seared into Trunks's mind forever. The explosion he caused. The millions of Ki signatures he had vowed to protect. Snuffed out like candles in the wind.

Breaking out of his stupor in the depths of space, Trunks desperately searched for air that he could breathe before he suffocated.

"No. This can't end like this" He whispered into the void but no sound was heard in the depths of space. Slowly fading into unconsciousness both from his injuries and the airless void of space, he felt the cold wrapping around him as the radiations of space bit at him.

"No" Were the last words he remembered speaking to the endless blackness.

What Trunks did not hear however, was a light and androgynous sounding voice next to him.

"Its a shame for this to end with you going to hell. I will interfere as I an angel shouldn't. Goodbye Trunks. You deserved better".

Then with a white flash, Trunks disappeared from the universe.

"Oh. I best get back before Beerus wakes up. He might be irritable"

"Do we keep him alive, Father?"

A young and alluring woman's voice cut through the darkness of Trunks's mind in German. However Trunks couldn't grasp consciousness enough to get up or even open his eyes. It was as if he was barely awake and teetering on the edge of a deep sleep.

The sound of small metal instruments clattering on a metal tray was heard before a different voice responded. It was a man's this time.

"Of course we do. Six weeks have passed after he was found and we still haven't found out what exactly he is. He looks human, but he most certainly is not. And I am not speaking about ELID or biological alterations. His very DNA is almost completely alien. Not to mention his body had developed Immunosomes within a day of being in contact with the Fluid. His very biology was designed exclusively for combat and adaptation. I would very much like to find out the secrets he possesses, But I am very busy. So I will have to leave him with you for the net few weeks".

The room was silent for a while before the man spoke up again.

"Why are you looking at me like that?" He asked not very amused almost in an annoyed fashion.

The sound of footsteps walking closer to Trunks pattered over to him as a shadow passed over Trunks's face.

"You're sweating. Your pupils are dilated and your hands are shaking. You don't usually show many outward signs of stress or fear. The only time I saw you this invested was with the development of the last Nyto. Is this being really that interesting?" The woman's voice asked from right above Trunks's head as he felt a soft but cold hand run across his exposed chest.

"Of course he is. I wouldn't have spent the time I had if he wasn't. Just make sure to keep him properly sedated while I'm gone. Needles don't work and the tranquilizer liquid I use costs a fortune, so don't waste it. With his biology, I can't help but think that it would take more than half of our forces just to hold him down. Don't you remember how many restraints he destroyed just by moving in his sleep?"

There was a long and cold silence before the woman replied obediently.

"Understood, Father" She seemed to have sat down on whatever hospital bed he was laying on as the sound of her sitting down was quite close to Trunks.

"Contact me immediately if he wakes up or somehow develops a resistance to the tranquilizer" the man said before the sound of a door opening then closing with a light bang was heard.

"Now what to do with you?" The woman asked slightly playfully as she lightly moved her finger over Trunks's chest in a circular motion.

Thee whole conversation they had was indiscernible to Trunks who only vaguely heard them speak in an unknown language. At least he was alive. That was better than being in hell.

However it seemed that Trunks could no longer stay awake and fell back into a peaceful sleep.
