Chapter 6 - You Gotta Hate Family
Phantom Lord Guild Hall
Reaching an outer part of the guild hall, Gray found himself under heavy rain where he met Juvia who have him that emotionless look.
"So you're one of them too? Then bring it on." Gray challenged.
"I'm impressed that your guild was able to strike down two of the elements. However, you must not underestimate the remaining two." Juvia warned.
"Listen lady, if you're looking for a fight, I'll give you one. But let's get something straight. I'm not going to hold back just because your a woman." Gray said threateningly.
Juvia stared at him emotionlessly prompting Gray to do the same. The two remained silent as the rain continued in the background. Gray prepared himself to fight not noticing the sudden red tint on Juvia's cheeks prompting her to retreat.
"Well then, I give up. You win. Goodbye." Juvia said turning around and leaving.
"Where are you going!? Come back and fight me!" Gray demanded as his face was full of shock.
Only for Juvia to feel her heart beating rapidly, "There must be something wrong with me. Why is my heart beating so fast?" she asked.
"Would you at least tell me how to stop the giant?" Gray asked.
"I must make him mine. I can't help myself." Juvia said to herself as shield sealed Gray inside her water lock.
Gray grunted as he felt the pain from injury when he fought Lyon. Juvia panicked as she saw the wound and started to blame herself for his pain. Only for Gray to bust out of the water lock with his ice make.
"He must be an ice wizard. He broke himself free of my Water Lock." Juvia said as she started falling deeper in love. "I've never witnessed ice magic. I'm water and he's ice. We must be bound by fate." she said as she found herself in a romantic fantasy.
"You play dirty." Gray accused only to make Juvia gasp.
Gray started taking off his shirt making Juvia's heart beat faster. Most likely thinking he was hoping to start a relationship. Most likely by hitting a homerun and using his shirt as a bat. (I hope you like sports dear readers of mine and innuendo's if you understand them)
"Can't we just take this slowly?" Juvia asked.
"I don't want to, but I will fight a girl if I have to. I'll hurt you if you don't surrender. Ice Make Lance" Gray said not even giving her the chance to do so.
Juvia was pierced only to reveal her body turning into water, "Surprised? My body is made of water. I must not forget, we're on opposite sides of this war. I have no choice but to attack." she proclaimed.
"Water slicer!" Gray avoided the attack only for the attack to slice through stone.
"Ice Make Battle-axe!" the battle axe went through Juvia with no effect.
"Drip, drip, drip." Juvia said.
(A/N: Is it me or am I getting flashbacks of another anime I made way too many stories for? Only this time the woman is actually a woman and doesn't have ice related powers. You'll earn a cookie if you can guess who I'm talking about.)
"Surrender the girl now and I will tell my master to call of the attack." Juvia suggested.
"We're way past the point of no return. I'd rather die than hand Lucy over to you." Gray challenged.
Juvia dropped her umbrella in surprise, 'Lucy's my rival! Lucy's my rival! Lucy's my rival! He loves her!' she thought as she felt internal pain. "How can fate be so cruel? My heart feels ripped to shreds! Oh it hurts! It hurts!" Juvia over exaggerated.
"What's wrong? Are you sick or something?" Gray asked feeling concerned.
"She's not worthy of my prince." Juvia muttered with a look of murder on her face. "Lucy Heartfilia cannot be allowed to live!" she yelled.
Meanwhile with the boys
Vincent pulled out a minigun, "I have to protect Lady Lucy." he said.
Ventus pulled out his keyblades as lightning surrounded him, "I have to protect big sis." he said.
Arthur started channeling his mana into his sword as Shirou unintentionally activated his reality marble, "I have to protect my mother." they said.
"I'll kill them if I have too!" all four yelled.
Back with Juvia and Gray
For a brief moment it felt very cold for Juvia as she felt as if she had several knives pointed at her throat. Only for her to regain her motivation and hit Gray with a blast of boiled water. Gray was confused about why she hated Lucy and was forced to avoid her attacks. Juvia talked about how the rain always followed her and made her invincible.
Gray was found underpowered as his ice was being melted by the boiling water. He escaped in a smokescreen created by the water and ice only to be caught by Juvia. Gray decided to go past his limit and attempted to freeze the water trapping Juvia as well in a case of ice. Juvia felt that she needed to be angry, but felt somewhat aroused at the fact gray groped her breasts.
"It's not what you think! I didn't mean to!" Gray said defending himself.
Gray let go of the trap hoping to start over. Juvia was ready to give up thinking she was no match for Lucy and started to confess to Gray. Only for Gray to say that the rain was gloomy which ignited a childhood flashback. Making her blow more boiling water at Gray.
"I'm through with love! And I'm through with you!" Juvia proclaimed.
Juvia thought back to the boys picking on her when she was in the orphanage. Often criticized for making teru teru dolls and having no luck with stopping the rain. Always having it called gloomy until she was welcomed into the Element 4. Gray continued to fight back until the point he caused the rain to turn into ice and trapping Juvia in one more case before breaking it. Leaving her to plummet to the ground.
Only for the ice wizard to slide down the roof and catch her at the last second.
"Just hang on, I promise I won't let you fall." Gray said.
"Why did you save me?" Juvia asked.
"Just get some rest." he said before noticing the sun rising and the rain stopping. "Hey look, the sun is coming out." he said cheerfully.
"The blue sky. I've never seen it before." Juvia confessed making Gray feel a bit sad hearing that.
"Seriously? Well here you go. It's a really pretty thing." Gray said.
"It's beautiful." Juvia admitted.
"So? You wanna go at it?" Gray said.
Juvia had hearts in her eyes before passing out with a blush. Mirajane and Elfman arrived to find Gray looking over the love struck water mage. They explained their theory to Gray and continued on with their fight against the enemy guild.
Meanwhile with Lucy and Natsu
The fight with Aria was difficult, but thanks to her basic elemental magic. Lucy was able to bring the fight to a stand still for now. At one point, the air elementalist tried to drain their magic only for Lucy to cancel out the attack, but was unable to disable his magic in return. That's when Erza arrived and landed a hit on him with a preemptive strike.
"Now Titania. Step into zero airspace of death." Aria said as he removed his blindfold and revealed his eyes.
"A spell that consumes life. You scoundrel!" Erza argued as she charged at him with a sword in hand.
"How? How are you cutting through my airspace?" Aria asked.
"Heaven's Wheel! Scattering Petals!" she called out before cutting through him. "Someone like you can never hold a candle to the strength of our master. You'll only be remembered as a sobbing coward who fell by my hand." Lucy said.
"That's so sad." Aria said before losing consciousness.
That's when they felt the entire structure shake. What Erza, Lucy, Natsu and Happy weren't aware of, was the theory Mirajane had involving the defeat of the Element 4. Because of that, the magic circle that the giant was drawing up wasn't finished and started to slowly collapse on itself. Increasing the morale of everyone outside continuing the battle with the phantom soldiers.
Meanwhile with Jose
Things were not looking good, his giant was disabled, his Element 4 was defeated and even worse, Lucy Heartfilia wasn't captured yet despite being within the walls of his domain. The last thing he needs is more pointless fighting from within his walls. Originally he accepted the job from those greedy nobles and that monarch for the sake of hurting Fairy Tail. Now they've proved to be much more capable than they originally revealed themselves to be.
"Sir, we are receiving a call from one of our Lacrima." said one of the hooded mages.
"Hand it over." Jose said as he picked up the orb.
Upon receiving it, he saw an arrogant man with blond hair wearing a fine white suit fit for a noble. The client was rather empty headed and rather eccentric from what Jose learned. Nonetheless, he was a paying client and the last thing Jose needed was earning a reputation that involved his failure as a guild.
"Master Jose! Aleister here and it's good to see you and I hope everything is going well. Anyways, not that I don't mind socializing, but how are things? I'm assuming you've defeated or come close to defeating those petty little fairies?" asked the man.
"Yes Mr. Chamber, I am very close. Only resistance is rather troublesome." Jose answered reluctantly.
"Oh my, like a beautiful women in a red rose dress, she must be tamed like a beautiful red stallion. Like her, you must fend off the other horses or... farm hands in this case. Do farm hands handle horses?" Aleister asked.
"I don't know, I'm a wizard not a farmer. I'll let you know how things turn out at the end of the day." Jose said.
"Very well, hopefully my parents are as patient as I am. Oh my I can hear them yelling at their financial advisers. I'll let them them know your almost done." Aleister said as the lacrima went off.
"Idiot, all of them are idiots. Now what do I...?" Jose stopped as he noticed someone else was calling on his lacrima orb.
A new image appeared of a blond man with wild long hair with horn like accessories in his hair. The man looked like royalty and rather prestigious just looking at him alone.
"Jose, is it safe to assume you are having much difficulty with Fairy Tail?" the man asked.
"My emperor, it's nothing but a scuffle. Cleary the Holy Maiden was much more intelligent and made use of her spirits to stop my jupiter cannon." Jose answered trying to remain calm.
"A cannon you say? Knowing my dear little sister, she must have commanded Achilles to block whatever attack you intended. You should know, so long as that servant is capable of fighting and still has energy inside of him, his shield will stop everything you use to destroy them." the emperor said.
"Then how do I defeat him?" Jose asked with wide eyes.
"Either let him run out of energy or attack his heel. He's practically invulnerable against attacks on his shield." the emperor answered. "By the way, how is the Gorgon? Have you utilized it yet?" he asked.
Jose smiled, "No, but I just found the perfect test subjects! Let me go get it ready!" he said.
"Good, but remember our deal Jose. Should a hair on Lucy Heartfilia's head fall..." the emperor's eyes started to glow. "...I will personally destroy your guild and leave no sign of its existence." he threatened enough for Jose to shake.
"Right away!" he said as he disconnected their communication. "Get the beast ready! Those fairies are right outside my door!" he ordered.
"Right away Jose!" the hooded guild members said as they scrambled.
"Master Jose, I'll have the command seals ready." said one of them approaching him and placing a seal over his hand.
"Gajeel, go deal with Salamander and the Maiden!" Jose ordered making the iron dragon slayer smirk as he ran out.
The hall
Just as everyone regrouped, Gajeel destroyed a wall and crushed Lucy with his steel pillar before dragging her with him somewhere else.
"Hey get back here you coward!" Natsu yelled.
"Then come and find me Salamander!" Gajeel challenged as he was getting away.
Natsu ran after him with Happy on his tail.
"Natsu don't run off on your own!" Erza yelled only to be frozen by a threatening aura.
"I'm afraid I can't let you do that. At least, not unless you somehow defeat my newest recruit." everyone turned to see Jose.
"That's master Jose!" Mirajane said.
"No way, that's the guild master?" Gray asked.
"That's right, although I would love to continue hurting Makarov's pride and joy, but I'm afraid I have a small mission to complete." Jose said revealing the command seal on his hand in the shape of his guild mark.
"He has a command seal! But how?" Erza asked fearing that another servant like Arthur would be revealed seeing as he was pretty powerful on his own.
"That matters not. Titania meet Gorgon! Two mythological female warriors duking it out sounds entertaining does it not?" Jose asked as one of the seals disappeared as another wall collapsed.
Everyone feared for their lives as a purple haired woman with golden wings and a snake like body appeared. Erza was confused as she looked at it as it had the same appearance as Medusa, but in a snake's body. Only this creature wasn't calm and tranquil, but looked blood thirsty instead.
"Everyone prepare yourselves! There's no telling how strong it is!" Erza said she requipped into her giant's armor.
"Ice Make Spear!" Gray called out tossing one at Gorgon only for her to slither away and shatter it.
Elfman ran up to her with a black bull arm and went for a direct punch. Only the Gorgon was three steps ahead and wrapped her arm around his fist before tossing him in the air. Erza tried attack with her javelin only to be tossed aside as well. Just as the remaining four regrouped, the beast prepared to open fire with a powerful laser.
Erza requipped to her adamantine armor and blocked out the attacks, but still felt the heavy pressure coming from the massive creature.
"Fools such as yourself have no right to stand in the same room as me. Please grant me one request and perish!" Gorgon demanded as she continued to open fire on them.
"Ice Make: Shield!" Gray called out only for it to shatter and take the hit.
"Beast Arm: Iron Bull!" Elfman yelled hitting Gorgon only for her to lift him up with her tail and send him crashing into Gray.
"Black Wing Armor: Moon Flash!" Erza said as she requipped and slashed at the Gorgon.
"You little!" Gorgon yelled in anger as she continued shooting at Erza until the whole ceiling collapsed.
"I best be on my way." Jose said feeling satisfied that the beast was doing the job for him.
"How do we beat it?" Gray asked firing an ice javelin.
"We keep hitting it until its down for good!" Elfman suggested using his bull arm.
"Ridiculous, such a prideful group of humans and yet you don't have the power to backup your claims." Gorgon said as she continued slithering around.
"Be on your guard until Natsu returns with Lucy!" Erza commanded as she tried running after Medusa's counterpart.
With Lucy and Natsu
Gajeel found a large open space and tossed Lucy aside before attacking Natsu who was right on his tail. Natsu naturally attacked head on and managed to destroy a few things creating a lot of metal debris. As he managed to land some direct hits on Gajeel, the man fell and quickly grabbed some iron and began to eat some.
"Hey are you seriously eating?" Natsu asked feeling really annoyed.
Gajeel finished his quick snack, "I feel a fire in my belly now." he said as his skin turned metallic and grew scales.
"Hey that's my line!" Natsu yelled. "Fire Dragon Roar!" he yelled.
"Iron Dragon Roar!" Gajeel countered as both attacks cancelled each other out.
The battle continued to slowly become one sided as Natsu began to get slower and his flames became less hot. That's when suddenly, the destruction they caused created another tear in the walls and left a wide open view of the guild. Lucy and Happy looked outside along with Natsu who landed on the edge to see the fight back at the guild hall.
Some sort of blob or orb was destroying the guild hall to the point of destruction. Everyone went wide eyed as they saw their fellow guild mates trying to destroy the orb that kept punching the guild hall until it finally collapsed.
(Fairy Tail Sad Theme)
Lucy fell on her knees and felt her eyes watered as Happy started to cry. Even Natsu began to get emotional. As he looked at the destruction, he could hear Jose laughing and mocking the guild about being weak. Lucy could see as well as sense the anguish of everyone who felt that they've failed themselves. Deep down Lucy blamed herself and threw down the crown on her head making her outfit revert to its original form.
The blonde maiden began to grip her head and rolled into a feedle position as she kept blaming herself for her lack of usefulness. She blamed herself for not protecting the guild in any other way. For relying too much on her heroic spirits to fight for her while she just spammed a few magical attacks. She blamed herself for not being strong enough to continue being on her own.
Meanwhile Natsu remembered back to his first days of joining the guild when the old man found him by himself. Right after Igneel disappeared, Natsu found himself meeting new people. His rivalry with Gray, his fear of Erza, his friendship with Lisanna and... whatever was going on with Mirajane. All in all, he had some good times and bad times.
Now his guild hall was gone...
...but that didn't mean neither or Fairy Tail will quit.
Natsu pulled himself up and went towards Lucy who was crying beside Happy. Natsu slowly approached her and picked her up before wiping away her tears as the blonde girl blamed herself for the destruction of the guild hall.
"I'm so sorry..." Lucy murmured.
"It's not your fault Lucy. The hall is just a building. We can always rebuild. But Fairy Tail is a family and I won't let anyone take you away." Natsu said as he hugged her tightly.
Lucy hugged back as Happy jumped in to join in on the much needed affection. Gajeel however thought it was gross and wanted to finish the mission.
"I'm sure Master Jose won't mind if she comes back in a few pieces." he said as he prepared another attack. "Iron Dragon Roar!" he yelled as he fired his iron at the sad trio.
"I'll always keep you safe Lucy. That's a promise." Natsu said the attack hit them directly.
Gajeel grinned at the sight as the dust started to clear. Only instead of a few broken bodies, he saw a tall large figure.
(Fate/Apocrypha OST - Confrontation)
From the dust stood Natsu wearing Siegfried's armor while carrying Bulmont over his shoulder. Behind him, Lucy was grabbing onto his waste while Happy was grabbing onto his shoulder.
"What the hell is this? Dress up?" Gajeel asked.
"Lucy you need to let go. I'm going to finish this jerk." Natsu said.
Lucy nodded and picked up Happy before taking cover, "Like hell you could beat me." Gajeel scoffed as he revealed his Iron Dragon Sword.
"The evil dragon will be vanquished." Natsu said as they clashed their respective blades.
In a matter of seconds, Natsu was able to overturn the battle as he could feel the mana coursing through his body. In a mere moment, Lucy was able to give him Siegfried's class card as well as giving him a temporary boost. Thanks to her, Natsu would be able to beat Gajeel and show him the meaning of being a dragon slayer.
"I'm done holding back. In order for me to win, I need to hit you harder than I have before." Gajeel said jumping back as he devoured iron at a rapid pace.
"In this moment, the world reaches its twilight." Natsu said as he powered up his sword.
"One last time, Iron Dragon Roar!" Gajeel yelled as he used every little bit of magical energy into his attack.
"Now fall, Bulmont!" Natsu yelled as he used the mana he was given to power up the noble phantasm.
Back with Gorgon later
The beast continued to whale on her opponents as she kept tossing Erza around the walls with her tail. Vincent had arrived earlier and began to open fire on the beast only to nearly turn to stone as his leg got caught. It was rather unfortunate and that left him under Mirajane's care until the team could hopefully defeat Gorgon. However, they didn't realize their hope arrived wearing shining armor like a knight.
Yet another wall had collapsed and it revealed Natsu dragging Gajeel by the front of his shirt and tossing him at Gorgon who slapped the iron dragon slayer away.
"Geez guys, can't you learn to clean up after yourselves?" Natsu asked.
"Like you're one to talk flame brain!" Gray argued.
"Gray learn to pick petty fights on your own time. We have a mission to complete." Natsu said lifting his sword over his back.
Gray was about to retort when Erza put a hand over his shoulder, "I prefer Natsu this way Gray. So do not be the one to instigate a fight first. Do you hear me?" Erza asked threateningly.
Then Lucy came out with Happy in her arms, "Hey guys, I have something that could help you out!" she said as she pulled out her deck of cards.
"Sweet! Just what we need!" Gray said going over all of them.
"What are they?" Elfman asked.
"They're class cards. Ventus made them and I used one to defeat Lyon when he was insane. It also helps that Lyon was given some fake ones that were faulty, but these are genuine." Gray explained as he went over them until he found Leonidas.
Just as he changed, Natsu decided to mock him very quickly, "Seriously? Lucy gave you stronger powers and you chose to get naked?" he asked.
"I'm not naked, this is how Spartans dressed back in the day!" Gray argued.
"Oh good, now you can be their ice queen." Natsu said jokingly.
"Natsu I swear..." Lucy started.
"Right! Gotta get back to fighting the snake lady!" Natsu said as he jumped on her tail and slashed at Gorgon's face.
"Insolent worm!" Gorgon yelled.
Natsu continued his fight as Gray joined in leaving Elfman and Erza scrambling through the cards. Elfman decided to pick up a berserker without reading the assigned name while Erza picked up a lancer card and went with her gut as well.
"Hey Mira do you want a card? I can't join in until I help Vincent and even then, I need to prepare for one more thing in case the class cards aren't enough." Lucy suggested.
Mirajane looked at the fight and saw Gray stabbing through Gorgon while Natsu avoided more lasers.
"I don't think I'm ready for combat again Lucy. Let me take a look at Vincent for you. I think they need you more." Mirajane replied.
Lucy looked at Vincent, "I can hold out. I still have two working hands and several bullets." he said reassuringly.
Lucy nodded and pulled out her staff to begin a magical ritual. Leaving everyone else to continue their fights. Starting with Elfman who activated his card and grew twice as big and was shirtless like Gray. Only he looked like a behemoth with the giant axe club he was wielding.
"Alright! I'm more of a man than I was back then!" Elfman yelled charged the Gorgon who was facing away and slammed her head down.
Gorgon screamed in rage before getting up and hitting Elfman in the face and whipping him with her tail. The younger Strauss sibling recovered and quickly did a few backflips to avoid more attacks.
"You have the power of Heracles. The mad demigod who was forced to kill his family." Gorgon stated making Elfman freeze in his place.
Gorgon smirked as she went to strike Elfman while he was in place only to be pierced by a lance. Everyone turned to see Erza riding a horse while wearing silver and blue armor.
"How about you demonstrate your power you witch." Erza taunted as Gorgon ripped out the lance and tossed it for the Titania to catch.
Elfman snapped out of the revelation as he continued charging at Gorgon and holding her in place. Meanwhile Gray jumped on the back of the snake woman and tried to suffocate her with his spear. Meanwhile Natsu tried to take the chance to stab her only for the snakes to smack him away along with Gray and Erza. That left Elfman with a chance to retreat with his improved agility.
"Hey Lucy, by any chance do you what those lasers do?" Gray asked as he felt his helmet crack.
Lucy paled as she forgot to tell them, "Guys I know Fiore isn't aware of almost every one of my servants, but you should know that she's just another version of Medusa that hates humanity." she said.
"I think she made that perfectly clear!" Natsu yelled as he smacked away some snakes.
"How is she Medusa? I thought she was assigned to Levy." Erza asked.
"Well all my servants aren't all bound to one class. In this case, Medusa is also an avenger and like her rider counterpart, she can turn people to stone." Lucy answered.
Everyone paled, "Don't let her touch you!" Elfman warned.
"Pesky little creatures aren't you? You are like insects. You refuse to die and there are too many of you." Gorgon said as she continued firing more lasers at them.
"Everyone get behind me!" Gray said as he figured out how to make projections of soldiers.
Everyone took cover as the projections protected them from the lasers.
"What now snowball?" Natsu asked.
"Just wait!" Gray said as the lasers started to calm down. "Now men!" he said as the projections tossed their spears at Gorgon who shielded herself with her snakes.
"Let me try! Belmont!" Natsu yelled only for nothing to happen. "Crap I'm low on mana!" he said.
"Natsu, now is not the a good time to be yelling your attacks!" Erza reprimanded as she charged at Gorgon with her horse.
Gorgon swatted away the spears before hitting the horse only for Erza to jump up and stab her in the neck with the lance. Gorgon howled in pain before ripping it out and having one of her snakes bite down on her chest plate making it crack. The snake head tossed her aside for Elfman to catch and retreat.
"Lucy how's your plan?" Mirajane asked seeing as Erza and the boys weren't a match for Gorgon.
"Almost ready. I just need more t-" Lucy was interrupted as she was grabbed the hair by Jose who reappeared.
"Now now, I don't need you messing with their fight. I don't need a rich girl like you to be helpful to my enemy." Jose said as he punched her in the chest and made her wheeze.
"Lucy!" Mirajane yelled out worrying for her.
Vincent snarled and fired all three of his bullets from Cerberus only for Jose to block. The Phantom Lord guild master fired a beam of energy to knock the man's revolver away before dragging Lucy by her hair.
"Now then, change of plan. I'll keep you as a little servant as a reminder to pathetic guilds like Fairy Tail that think they can stand up against me. Better yet, I can use you to make powerful people like your father meet my demands. Along with that petty noble family who's trying to do the same. Why bother dealing with them, when I can take your fortune for myself?" Jose asked with a laugh.
Lucy tried to equip her dress only to be punched in the head repeatedly, "Let her go!" Natsu demanded as he ran after her only to be dragged by Gorgon.
"Lucy!" Happy yelled as he tried to strangle Jose with his tail.
"Get away from me you vermin!" Jose said slamming Happy on the floor.
"Owie!" Happy said as he held his head.
"Happy!" Lucy cried only to be kicked in the stomach.
Lucy quickly reached for her keys only for them to be smacked away. But before anyone realized it, Taurus smashed through the floor and grabbed Jose in a headlock.
"Taurus!" Lucy called out.
"What? I promised I'd protect you pretty thing. It doesn't matter how many of those other spirits you have, you have. I'll always be by your side." Taurus said chivalrously.
"Cow!?" Jose asked as he tried to wrestle the celestial spirit away.
That's when everyone stopped at the sound of a thunderstorm. Within one of the destroyed holes in the guild hall. Makarov finally arrived looking better than when Aria had ambushed him. Jose smirked at the old man's appearance before knocking Taurus on his back and tossing Lucy aside.
"You have shed the blood of our children. And that is unforgivable. They have been made to suffer because of the incompetence of their parents. We are both to blame Jose." Makarov said. "This war has gone on long enough. Let's end this now!" he said.
Everyone smiled hearing that while Gorgon decided to study the old man as she sensed his immense power. Everyone else noticed this, but kept their guard up around the demon like woman.
"If we fight it could create a catastrophe." Jose said flaring his power.
Makarov did the same, "In order to save my guild, I will gladly take that risk." he said as a golden orb of energy appeared on his fingertip.
"I'll exterminate those pests after I finish you off." Jose threatened.
"Everyone, we need to retreat for now. We're only going to get in the way!" Erza said prompting everyone to move as best they can.
Mirajane helped lift up Vincent over her shoulder. Elfman and Gray moved out of the way as they followed Erza and Natsu carries Lucy in his arms making her blush with Happy not too far behind. Gorgon disappeared in the shadows to watch from a safe distance.
"Our guild hall may have been destroyed, but we're strong as ever." Makarov said preparing his technique.
"I must admit I'm looking forward to this. I can't wait to see who's the superior wizard saint." Jose said as both flared more of their power.
"I couldn't have done this without you my children. Bless you all." Makarov said. "Be proud that you are all members of Fairy Tail!" he added as the storm went wild making the waves lose control as lightning hit the earth.
Both guild masters/wizard saints clashed using their most powerful techniques. All to prove who is more powerful. For Jose, this felt like a game, but for Makarov, it was a time to prove his passion for the guild. All the while, the robotic guild hall was ready to collapse at any moment.
"I'll give you the count of three to do exactly as I say." Makarov warned only for Jose to laugh it off. "Kneel to me." he ordered.
"What?" Jose asked unsure of what he heard.
"One." Makarov counted down.
"So you want me to concede and kneel before you? No way in Hell!" Jose replied.
"Two." Makarov said as he channeled his energy into a single orb.
"Why would the master of the top guild in this kingdom ever stoop so low as to kneel before you? Technically we are equally powerful, but my ability to be heartless makes me even stronger." Jose boated as he prepared his dead wave as a countermeasure.
"Three." Makarov finished.
"You are the one who should be kneeling before me. Now you and your precious Fairy Tail children are going to die!" Jose challenged.
"Time's up." Makarov said as his eyes were white and missing their pupils.
"This is it!" Jose said preparing to attack.
Makarov slammed his hands together pushing the attack away as the whole building began to glow.
"I invoke Fairy Law." Makarov said as a gigantic magic circle surrounded the guild hall.
All the phantom soldiers bean to die out.
"What is that?" Lucy asked.
"Fairy Law, the caster only affects those they see as an enemy. It's a very legendary spell in existence." Erza answered as the the clouds opened up as if they were the gates to heaven itself.
Back to the fight, Jose was a whimpering mess that looked like he aged 80 years. The arrogant and proud man was reduced to a shaking one with no confidence in himself.
"You will never bother Fairy Tail, do you understand? I'm sure the magic council will be watching us after all the chaos we've caused." Makarov said before he left the feeble guild master.
Aria quickly attempted to take Makarov by surprise thinking Makarov was open only to be punched into some debris.
"The war is over, there is no point to continue fighting." Makarov said signalling Fairy Tail's victory in the war. "This victory is yours my children!" he yelled out to everyone who began to celebrate.
However things were far from over.

The water began to shake as something jumped out onto dry land.
"Gorgon!" Team Natsu yelled in surprise and fear.
Gorgon gave a feral grin, "I am far from defeated. You petty humans will not defeat me no matter how many servants and pseudo servants you have." she said.
"I don't think so!" Lucy said removing herself from Natsu and slamming her staff onto the ground creating a silver magic circle.
"Um Lucy what is that?" Gray asked.
Lucy smirked, "I pulled a dragon from under my belt Gray." she answered.
Everyone turned to see the storm return as a large figure can be seen flying in the sky.
"Dragon?" Gray asked with scared eyes.
"ROAR!"
Everyone kept looking up to see another silver magic circle appear. Only this time a black dragon went through it and triggered more seals. When it landed, everyone got a good view of his blackish raven colored flesh. It's colorful wings and strange wheel on its back.

"Dragon?" everyone minus Lucy and her boys asked.
"Dragon." Lucy answered.
"Dragon?" everyone else asked again.
"Dragon, don't make me repeat myself!" Lucy barked.
The dragon turned to Lucy, "Are we having another situation like Kiyohime?" he asked.
"It talks!" someone yelled in surprise.
"Kid I may be reptile, but I have more functioning brain cells than most of you humans." the dragon replied before turning back to Gorgon. "One of the seven beasts? I hope you have Medusa ready. This is going to be problematic for you Lucy." he replied.
"I'm already here lord Bahamut." Medusa said announcing her.
"Ridiculous, I refuse to believe I would surround myself with humans as if they were my equals." Gorgon spat with hatred in her eyes.
"You lack balance and only believe in death and destruction. The world will be much safer with you sealed inside of me again." Medusa replied.
"I refuse to be anyone's slave ever again!" Gorgon exclaimed as she opened fire only for Bahamut to counter.
"Megaflare!" he yelled as the two powers collided in Bahamut's favor before the beast was depleted of her energy.
"I-I-Impossible." Gorgon stuttered before collapsing.
"Seal her now!" Bahamut commanded as Lucy and Medusa surrounded Gorgon.
Gorgon looked displeased, but was unable to do anything seeing as Bahamut was too strong for her in her current state. Lucy took the chance and began to use her seal magic to transfer the avenger inside of the rider for Medusa to learn to control again. Leaving nothing but her curses and screaming about her vengeance against humanity.

"I feel sick." Medusa said as she started glowing.
"I should let you return. I bet everyone else is tired too." Lucy said as Achilles, Franny and Cu Chulainn arrived beside her to return to the throne of heroes after a long day of work.
"Lucy where did that dragon come from?" Mirajane asked.
Bahamut stared everyone as he just noticed the crowd, "Bahamut is like the king of dragons. One of the most powerful and I was lucky enough to earn his respect in order to summon him." Lucy explained.
Natsu perked up as he released his servant transformation, "Wait! Does that mean you know Igneel?" he asked Bahamut.
"The fire dragon? What about him?" Bahamut asked.
Natsu smiled, "He went missing 7 years ago and I haven't seen him since!" he answered.
"Why do you care?" Bahamut asked.
"Because he's my father! That's why!" Natsu answered.
"That rumor of dragons adopting human children was true? I heard Grandeeney adopted some little girl a while back, but Igneel too? I shouldn't be surprised since he isn't the only family man among the species." Bahamut muttered the last part.
"So do you know where he is?" Natsu asked.
Bahamut shook his head, "I'm afraid not. Tell, what happened the day he left." he requested.
"Like I said, 7 years ago he just left without a word or a trace. He was just homeschooling me one day and then we went to sleep. Then I lost him in the morning." Natsu explained.
Bahamut nodded, "Do you have an exact date?" he asked.
Before Natsu could speak, Gajeel appeared from the water and jumped up. Everyone got into a defensive stance as they prepared for the iron dragon slayer to attack. Bahamut narrowed his eyes and turned to him. Only Gajeel was on his knees from exhaustion.
"Please tell me. Do you know Metalicana as well? He went missing seven years ago on July 7." Gajeel said surprising everyone.
"You have a dragon too?" Natsu asked.
"The metal dragon as well? Your dragons both left on 777, on the seventh month on the seventh day. How peculiar. I may not know, but I will be communicating with the elders." Bahamut said.
"You think you can find them?" Natsu asked excitedly.
"I have to. It would be a great injustice if I do not find out why my species is going missing. Farewell everyone." Bahamut said as the wheel on his back started spinning before taking off into the sky.
"Well that was a lot to take in." Cana said as she couldn't believe her eyes.
"So that story about dragons is true?" Wakaba asked as he tossed out his pipe again.
"I think it's best we worry about rebuilding instead of whatever is going on with the dragons." Makarov said.
A week later
Despite still blaming herself for the destruction, Makarov assured that Fairy Tail is one. That they will share pain and happiness for he's proud to have Lucy as a member of the guild as everyone else felt the same. Lucy still gave out a heartfelt cry that day. It didn't help that Makarov also started crying as he remembered the council would chew him out for this. Speaking of the devil, their rune knights arrived to begin questioning everyone about that day's events.
Lucy felt optimistic and even offered giving Makarov her Henry Jekyll servant since he's an educated lawyer that also studied the laws of Fiore while Lucy was on the road. Makarov felt somewhat more relieved that day.
Now today, was a new day and chance for a better tomorrow. Starting with rebuilding the guild which is why Lucy was putting up with most of the work seeing as she put most carpenters to shame. It didn't help Mirajane was not a very good artist and Gray had to be the one to break the news in a not so gentle manner.
"Wow who's the idiot who drew this?" Gray asked.
Unlike Rukia Kuchiki, Mirajane couldn't handle criticism despite also being very terrible at art. Which is why she started smiling before whimpering before crying her eyes out.
"Hey I didn't mean it. I didn't know it was your drawing." Gray said trying to calm her down.
Meanwhile Juvia was hiding in a corner riddle with glee, 'Gray will be mine. He's too cold to the other women.' she thought before trying to sneak in a lunch for him.
"Man, when are we having our lunch break?" Gray asked at that exact moment when a splash of water smack Natsu and Happy.
"Hey where did that lunchbox come from?" Natsu asked.
Gray opened it and had a face filled with fear. Natsu looked in it to see some kind of tentacle creature moving under the layers as well as Gray's face made of vegetables. It was a disturbing sight to say the least. Unless your Erza and Natsu who both think about food when given the chance. Speaking of angry scary redheads.
"Who said you could have a lunch break!?" Eza asked as she slammed a wooden pillar over Natsu's head making him sink into the ground. "Is that your face made of vegetables?" she asked looking at the lunchbox before taking a piece of Gray's face and eating it.
'It took me three days to make that!' Juvia thought sadly before losing herself in some fantasy of Gray begging her to make lunch for him everyday. 'And then we will have 33 babies.' she thought.
"Maybe Lucy made it." Natsu suggested making Juvia go wide eyed.
"I bet, she's the only member on our team besides Erza. Not to be offensive or anything Erza, but you're not really a cook yourself." Gray said the last part nervously.
"None taken, this is really good." Erza responded as she ate more.
'That girl will not take Gray away from me!' Juvia thought.
A while later
"Like mom would make something that weird you perv." Shirou said.
"I'd rather kiss Natsu while he's on fire than to make you lunch." Lucy added.
'How dare she say something so offensive to Gray!?' Juvia thought feeling offended.
Arthur for his part was eating with Erza, "Hey this stuff is good. Sure I wouldn't eat the part that's alive, but I think Gray has a secret admirer." he said.
"Then it's settled, Gray has a new girlfriend." Shirou said as he got a piece from his older brother.
"Wait what!?" Gray asked.
"That's right Gray, clearly only a girl would put this much effort into her cooking. So that means you have find this girl and take her out on a date." Lucy reasoned making everyone laugh at Gray's expense.
'He has to do what now?' Juvia wondered as she listened in closely.
"Why should I? I didn't even ask for lunch. I'll just toss the next one out. Maybe it will knock some sense into my stalker." Gray said so rudely.
Lucy felt a presence in the back and turned to see Juvia with tears in her eyes. She felt bad, sure Juvia was the enemy, but she was only following orders. Lucy also sensed her intention and felt bad for the girl.
"Gray, you will do as I tell you." Lucy commanded.
"No thanks." Gray said as he unconsciously stripped again.
Lucy sighed as she reached for a small needle in her bag, "This is your last warning." she said.
"Whatever." Gray said as he was walking away.
"Gray is going to die." Shirou whispered to Natsu.
"Why?" Natsu asked.
Suddenly everyone felt the ground shake as blue flames surrounded Lucy, "Oh crap, she can still do that?" Ventus asked.
"Let's get out of here!" Shirou said as the boys ran off with Natsu and Happy right behind them.
Gray felt his body go numb as he felt an ice cold hand on his shoulder. Turning his head, his mouth was gaping at the sight of the smiling Dark Maiden.
"Now now Gray, it isn't gentleman like to disrespect another woman. Now you will do as I say or will I have to punish you again?" Lucy asked as her now golden eyes burned through Gray's skull.
"No ma'am! I'll go find her and tell her how grateful I am right now!" Gray said trying to run away.
Lucy pulled him by his arm, "You forget I sense intention and some emotions. Now, you will get dressed, find nice clothing and use proper hygiene as well finding a bouquet. Hopefully she isn't a allergic, but regardless you will be a gentleman and listen to her as well as paying for everything yourself including dinner. I expect you to not strip, interrupt, or say anything weird or disrespectful. Do you understand me?" she asked with a sickly sweet smile.
Gray nodded furiously as he got dressed, "I better get a few missions done to afford all that." he said as he retreated.
Juvia smiled, 'Thank you Lucy! Now Gray will be all mine because I'm going to make him fall in love with me!' then she realized something. 'I need to find a nice dress right away!' she thought retreating as well.
"Why is my mother so scary all of a sudden?" Arthur asked Erza who was about to speak.
"Don't talk with your mouth full Erza." Lucy said making Erza unconsciously close her mouth and swallow.
Erza went wide eyed as she never takes orders from Lucy, "Mom are you feeling ok?" Arthur asked nervously.
The Dark Maiden slowly approached him before smiling and gripping his face in her hands, "You're a handsome baby boy." she said hugging his head.
"Mom... can't breathe..." Arthur muttered.
Lucy let go and stroked his head, "I didn't mean to hurt you my child. Anyways, we should get ready soon. I sent a message to my father that we're going to be visiting him. So I expect you and Shirou to be on your best behavior." she said making the boy sweat.
"Ok, I'll be good." Arthur squeaked.
"That's a good boy. Now give mommy a kiss." Lucy said.
Erza slowly got behind Lucy hoping to knock her out of this state. Instead Lucy's head snapped backwards catching Erza raising the back of her sword.
"Erza please put that down and get back to work. You've been eating enough." Lucy said.
Erza nodded and backed off leaving a scared Arthur alone with his mother.
A day later, Heartfilia estates
Upon arrival, Lucy was bombarded by the servants and former instructors who were practically crying that they missed her. All the while Vincent stayed close to her and Ventus while Shirou held Lucy's hand as well as Arthur's.
"Who's this handsome young man? Is he your boyfriend?" asked one of the maids.
Lucy and Arthur turned green at the thought making everyone else look confused.
(A/N: Arthur is around 14-15, but slightly shorter than Lucy in case you were wondering.)
"Miss Lucy? The master requests your presence in his study." said one of the servants.
'His runaway daughter finally comes home after four years. He may not be the same man back then, but I guess he's too scared to show affection among others.' Lucy thought with a smile
(A/N: Lucy's father is not the bad guy in this AU. But they will explain that in a bit.)
"VIncent follow me and watch over the boys outside of my father's office." Lucy said.
Inside the mansion
Lucy remembered how her father still preferred her to look like a noble woman. Rather than running around in her shrine maiden style attire. Of course it didn't help that she grew rapidly and hasn't been home in the past few years. Sure her father Jude receives her letters, but it's not like he's able to see her all the time.
"I think the sleeves might be a wee bit to short for you miss." said one of the servants.
"It's okay." Lucy said waving it off.
Meanwhile the boys were looking at all the paintings, "If big sis hasn't been here in so long. Why do they have portraits of her?" Ventus asked.
A servant who was with them decided to speak up, "That's actually miss Layla. She is the mother of miss Lucy." she said.
'So that's my grandma?' Shirou wondered as Arthur thought the same thing.
'They both look like stella, only the eye colors are different.' Vincent thought.
Lucy arrived surprising the boys with her forced choice of attire, "Are you all behaving yourselves?" she asked.
"Big sis you look pretty!" Ventus said.
"Thank you Ventus. Now I need you four to wait for me outside my father's study. He will let you know when you're allowed in." Lucy said.
"Yes ma'am." the younger boys said.
"I'll keep them out of trouble." Vincent said as Lucy nodded and left.
"Excuse me sir, if you don't mind. All servants regardless of their occupation must be in formal attire." one of the servants said making the boys snicker.
"That goes for you three as well." said another one as they were dragged away to be dressed.
Jude's study
"Father, may I come in?" Lucy asked.
"Yes, you may." Jude said as Lucy came in. "You ran away without even saying a word to me. How could you?" he asked keeping a serious look.
"I'm sorry, I shouldn't have left without saying anything." Lucy said regretfully.
"I'm glad you realize your mistake. As well as finally taking time from your wild adventures. How is the guild by the way? I heard about the incident with the Chambers ordering a hit on them." Jude asked.
"So it was another family?" Lucy asked.
"Yes, noblewoman or not, you are the heiress of the Heartfilia family. As much as I want to say this is above you, I can't hold you down like a restrained animal can I?" Jude asked.
Lucy smiled, "I know, but I'm happy this way. I love being in Fairy Tail and we will crush all our enemies." she said vigorously.
Jude rolled his eyes, "Good to know you made some good friends." he said.
"They're not my friends, they're my family. If mom was still here, she would tell me to be true to myself." Lucy replied as she revealed her hand stamp.
"I'm sure she would." Jude said in agreement. "By the way, I was able to confirm those tests. The results are right here." he said revealing a few papers.
"I hope those weren't too expensive or hard to perform." Lucy said sheepishly.
"There is no price tag on this Lucy, don't worry about that." Lucy sighed in relief. "There's a bill, they don't put tags on these tasks." Jude finished.
"How about I give you the royalties of my next book?" Lucy suggested.
Jude narrowed his eyes, "How are my grandchildren? It was hard to believe, but I can't argue with the multiple tests. I also got one for that Makarov man you were talking about." he said.
"I'll go get them." Lucy said only to find them walking awkwardly in their suits.
"Mom I don't like this." Shirou complained.
"I have my own suit at home. Why do I need another one?" Arthur asked.
"I'm used to dressing up like this back in the Turks." Vincent said looking more relaxed.
"Well you better learn to love it. Your grandfather is waiting for you inside." Lucy said making Shirou look nervous while Arthur felt like running away.
Instead Vincent dragged the pair into the office while Ventus held Lucy's hand on the way in. Inside Jude started to study the nervous pair as if he was choosing whether they would live or die. Ventus also looked nervous as he wondered what Jude would say about his existence.
"Well?" Jude asked Shirou.
"Well what?" Shirou asked back.
"Aren't you and your brother going to hug your grandpa?" Jude asked with a positive demeanor.
Shirou and Arthur smiled as they hugged the older man. While Ventus was still hiding behind Lucy.
"And the other boy?" Jude asked.
"This is Ventus, he's my brother from the past life." Lucy answered.
"A pleasure to meet you sir." Ventus said.
"Oh good, I always wanted a son to pass down my teaching to." Jude said making Ventus smile.
Ventus ran up to him and hugged him as well. At the end of the day, it was like one big happy family. The group stayed with Jude for a couple of days to enjoy the peace of the estates and take everything in. For Jude, he was happy he was able to talk things out with his daughter years earlier instead of losing his mind. Who knows what could have happened had they avoided confrontation.
Lucy promised to visit every now and then. Family should always be close to one another. Lucy also gave Jude rights to the books in terms of distribution and royalties so long as the stories themselves weren't modified. It was her turn to give some back besides paying for those expensive DNA tests. At least Makarov was going to be happy to have a double confirmation about having a great grandson at his age.
Lucy's only real concern would be what if Natsu and Laxus learned about being fathers. Then there's the third kid who's still out there somewhere in Fiore.
A couple days later, back at the guild
After a much needed break, Lucy returned to find the bar was finished as construction was going perfectly. Mirajane also announced that everyone was free to continue doing jobs for the guild again. Things were energetic as always and everyone was back to their old selves as if nothing had happened.
Then Natsu got hit by a barrel.
"Why don't you tell the others how you really feel?" Erza yelled.
"I have no problem telling them what I think of them. This guild's full of nothing but losers and weaklings!" Laxus proclaimed before turning to Jet and Droy. "Especially the two of you morons. You had to rely on an outside force. I'm glad I never bothered to learn your names." he said so rudely.
No one liked the nonsense that Laxus was spitting out of his mouth. They could only imagine what caused him to turn into such an arrogant oaf.
"Which brings me to the rich little princess wannabe wizard. This was your fault." Laxus said
"Laxus! Would you shut up? The master said no one in the guild was to be held accountable for what happened, not even you, despite the fact I begged you to come help and you turned your back on us." Mirajane argued.
"Stop your whining! That fight had nothing to do with me. But if I had been there, you wouldn't be drowning in your sorrows in this pile of rubble right now." Laxus argued back with no remorse for his actions.
"Why you!" Erza said before a loud sound went off in the guild.
*SLAP* ^Insert Jojo punch sound effect^
Everyone went wide eyed as Laxus suddenly got sent flying into a wall of concrete. The lightning wizard's head fell back limp against the wall and it appeared as if there was a hole ready to tear through his mouth.
'What the hell? What hit me? It couldn't have been Erza.' Laxus wondered looking around. 'Natsu is too slow and so is Gray. Elfman is too weak while Mirajane doesn't have it in her. So who could it be?' he wondered.
"Big sis is being scary again!" Ventus yelled as he and the boys ran off.
'What the hell is...' Laxus couldn't finish the thought as he came face to face with a grinning Dark Maiden.
"If you can cry, you can work. You didn't do any work because you don't have the power. I bet the Gorgon would have ripped you apart had you looked at her the wrong way." Lucy whispered making Laxus sweat and feel cold at the same time for some reason.
"Why you-" Laxus was interrupted as Lucy grabbed his cheeks in a vice grip making him yelp.
"It's rude to interrupt." she said as she lifted his face to meet hers. "So tell me, are you scared? Scared that if you got involved it would show your weakness? That you aren't as strong as you say? Do you lack power? Or courage?" she asked.
"I'm not... afraid..." Laxus muttered.
"I bet you are afraid." Lucy sang. "Show me how much of a man you are." she said seductively.
"She stole my catchphrase." Elfman whispered in fear.
Before Laxus could respond, Lucy slammed her lips onto his. Everyone's jaw dropped as Lucy kissed Laxus and the blond man slowly gave in. Just as he was about to touch her cheek, she pulled out.
"That was bland, the cheek kisses Shirou have much more passion than that display." Lucy said as Laxus's face was flushed.
Laxus was left an embarrassed stuttering and broken mess. Everyone started to laugh at the display as he disappeared in a bolt of lightning. Before Lucy set her sights to Natsu and grabbed him before he made a run for it.
"Lucy I-"
"Don't think about I forgot about you my little Salamander. I want to reward you for helping me when I was too hurt to move during the fighting." Lucy said with a sly grin that scared Natsu.
"Nah that's ok. Really! I don't mind-" like Laxus, Natsu found himself trapped between her lips.
But he had to admit the cold and hard feeling went away and was replaced with a soft and warm feeling. A small temporary bliss that he enjoyed as he forgot about the scary woman who wrapped her arms around his neck.
"Should we help?" Happy asked Mirajane.
"Never interrupt a woman Happy." Mirajane warned.
"Aye." Happy said understanding what she meant.
Lucy finished her kiss with Natsu leaving him a blushing mess, "I see someone is more educated than the so called elite." she teased.
"A-aye." Happy said.
A few seconds later Lucy let go of her transformation and fainted in Natsu's arms. Natsu caught her and lifted her up in his arms before she woke up.
"Um, what happened?" Lucy asked.
"Did she seriously forget all that!?" everyone yelled.
"That might take some explaining Lucy." Erza said trying to process what Lucy has done.
"Was I using Black Lucy again?" Lucy asked.
Mirajane was about to speak up when she noticed the folder that Lucy left on the counter flew behind the counter. The barmaid quickly started picking them up and reorganizing them only to stop the moment she saw Natsu's name on one of them. Despite knowing it would violate Lucy's privacy, she couldn't help but to wonder what she's doing with papers involving Natsu.
While Erza was going over the embarrassing things that Lucy did. Mirajane proceeded to read the papers with his name on them. Soon finding herself within a disturbing revelation. The truth about Lucy and Shirou along with how it involves Natsu.
Shirou (No last name) Paternal testing results

Mother - Lucy Heartfilia 50% match
This only left more questions in her mind as she went over another name.
Arthur (No last name) testing results

Mirajane shook her head as she quickly put all the papers together and placed them back in the folder. Just in time for Lucy to get her bearings and get back to the bar counter.
"Thanks for watching my papers Mira." Lucy said as she picked them up and went to look for her boys.
'What are you hiding from us Lucy?' Mirajane wondered thinking about what Lucy said when she went over the origins of the boys.
Sadly for Mirajane, Lucy wasn't aware of some other things related to her and she wouldn't have the answers to them when the time came.
