Lady Countryrose
Ch. 16
Anne woke up, once the sun hit her window. Causing her to turn over and look around. She had almost forgotten where she was. Until her eyes focused on seeing Eir next to her. Before noticing the room.
Only to remember that she was sorted into Ravenclaw with Hermione and Severus. She had taken a deep breath, before getting out of bed. Anne had grabbed her wand and made her way to Hermione's bed. Only to find it warded, before taking it off and waking up the tired teen.
"Hu," grumbled Hermione, before she saw Anne. "What time is it?"
"Seven," she replied.
The time must have shocked Hermione awake, since she shot out of bed. From there, the two dressed for the day, and made their way down into the common room. Where they waited for five minutes for Severus to come down.
"How long have you been waiting for me," yawned Severus.
Anne shrugged her shoulders. "Not that long." Just as she threw her bag on her shoulder. Leading the two down from the tower.
When the three had entered the Great Hall. They were tackled by a furious redhead, in a group hug. "Why," she yelled at them. "Did you have to leave me with them," she pointed to James and Sirius.
Hermione pulled herself away. "It's not like we did that on purpose!"
James was behind Lily, whimpering. "Where is my hug?"
"Not now, James," glared Sirius. "She is making us look bad. And that is all you care about?"
Severus huffed, "I thought you, Black, can handle anything?"
Sirius smirked, "Yes, I can, but not against my lady's anger."
Before Anne could voice anything. The professors shooed them to their proper tables for breakfast. Where they ate and were given their timetables. Only to find that Anne, Hermione and Severus shared all their classes together. But noticed they had Gryffindor for Charms and Herbology. While they had potions with Sytherin. Hufflepuff with the remaining classes.
Hermione finished her breakfast and stood up from her seat. Indicating for Anne and Severus to follow her to their first class with Gryffindors. They were on their way to charms class. The three sat in the front of class, in the first row. When Lily came rushing in to sit between Severus and Hermione.
Across the room, facing them, were James, Sirius and Remus. While the rest of the class stumbled in shortly after them. Before Professor Flickwick came in. Handing out feathers for their first lesson.
Hermione had taken a deep breath. 'Great, we are learning the charm that set the nightmare reaction with Ron.' Before, she followed the class along and managed to get the spell right, without uttering a word. Which no one had noticed, but Anne.
She noticed that Anne only whispered the spell. Where Hermione had noticed how strong the spell was, even at low volumes. 'I am going to have to do what Anne is doing. I might throw the suspicion off. If they see that I am still saying the spell.'
With that in mind, she followed Anne's lead. Only to find that the other classes were just as similar to Hermione, from her first year.
By the time lunch came along. All Hermione wanted to do was go to the library to learn something different from what they were learning. But her body needed food. It was something that she would never take for granted again. After being sent to the seventies, her body would yell at her, if she forgot to eat.
Once she had reached the Ravenclaw table. She grabbed some fish and chips, with a glass of pumpkin juice. While she noticed Anne grabbing a piece of roasted lamb sandwich. Hermione gave her a raised eyebrow.
Anne sighed, "I guess I didn't tell you what the doctor found out the other week, did I?" She huffed, looking around for a moment. I have IBS and tender joints."
She closed her eyes with sorrow. "I even had these things back home. But thought they had gone away, when…"
"When we got here," supplied Hermione, nodding her head. "So, you can't eat much."
Anne shook her head. "Not without pain, not that much, no."
Severus came and sat next to them. When he heard what Anne had said. He gave her a thoughtful look. Before he glanced towards the Gryffindor table. "Did you tell them?"
"No, I have not," she breathed out, with a hint of pain. She knocked on the table, "Lavender lemonade, please." Within a moment later, she was given her drink.
"What does that do," asked Severus.
"Keeping me calm, and it does help with some pain." Anne drank some down. Before she ate her sandwich.
Halfway through lunch, Sirius came by. Only to glare at Anne's purple drink. "Why the Bloody Hell does that smell like lavender?"
Anne turned to him with harsh eyes. "Because it does, and it helps with my medical issues."
Sirius looked towards her with his blue-gray eyes. "What medical issues?" It was then that Anne told him about what she had. Only to see despair in his eyes. "Is there a cure?"
"None," Anne sighed. "There is no cure, and I am not dying, Sirius."
Hermione felt sad for Anne. The boy looked lost and confused. Then he got up and walked away.
Severus turned to Anne. But she had gotten up on her own feet. "I need the restroom." Before she had left the Great Hall.
"What are we going to do," asked Severus. Hermione heard his controlled anger. But she didn't know who he was mad at.
Hermione glanced towards the door. "Just be our supportive selves for Anne."
The next class was DADA, where Anne was nearly late. She sat next to Hermione, whispering her thanks. Before the class had started. Hermione was only glad that they had DADA with Hufflepuff.
