'New of All Might adopting a child has spread all over Japan and beyond. The people are more than ecstatic and curious as to what made the child special in the eyes of the number one hero?! The child goes by the name Kiana Yagi as of a week ago after the adoption papers were completed, and she's no older than the age of five. UA staff along with All Might himself explained that the child had suffered human experimentation and that she managed to escape the hands of her captors with the help of her sentient quirk and a traitor among the captors. Further research has shown that as a result of the experiments Kiana went through the child ended up bearing seven quirks. Unfortunately details on what these quirks are has yet to be released aside from what we know of her sentient quirk. We await further details fr-'
'The common questions being asked by everyone is 'What quirks does the girl possess', this has resulted in small portions of the public questioning if All Might is truly adopting the child for the right reasons, or if the number one hero and the UA faculty are using this as a cover to monitor the girl. If so the-'
The television screen was turned off within the dark room. The man seated within the chair couldn't help but smile at the turn of events. It had been unexpected. K-423 attempting to escape was a possibility that he had always foreseen in the future, Benares wanting to protect its queen led to similar results. What he had not foreseen was one of his own staff betraying him in order to help the child and sentient quirk escape his grasp. Though in hindsight that was a mistake on his part.
He should have foreseen one of the caretakers getting attached to the girl. He had dealt with the traitor accordingly, but it was such a shame, Himeko had been among his best agents in the organization, but he'd made sure to kill the woman and display it so K-423 would be made aware of the consequences of her actions and rebellion.
Still he had not expected his little pet project to end up in the hands of the UA faculty, adopted by All Might no less. He had expected her to be in the custody of heroes of course. Maybe even the hero commission or the government given her potential, but not to be taken in by the number one hero in the world. This changed things…
"Lord Otto!! K-423 has bee-" a woman came rushing into the room. She was the secretary of the Overseer.
"I'm already aware Amber. It's an interesting situation." Otto answered with a small smile as he rested his chin on his right fist.
"Sir how do you wish to proceed?" Amber asked.
"Let her be for now. I want to see how she will grow under the wing of the greatest hero in all time." Otto replied after he was curious. He would check on her progress occasionally, and if he wasn't satisfied with her growth then he would retrieve her in due time.

Time Skip – 1 year
A year had passed since she had been taken in by All Might. It had taken some time for Kiana to adapt to the knew environment, she wasn't used to opening herself up to so many new people all at once. That being said she knew she could trust All Might, who was apparently now her father. A concept that still seemed foreign to the girl.
All she knew was that he would be Rhone one that would be taking care of her, something that brought her comfort, and by extension Bella as well. She remembered that one of the few luxuries she got during her time as Schicksals test subject was being allowed an hour of tv a day, most of which she spent watching shows regarding the number one hero in Japan. So to now be under his care was the safest the snow haired five year old girl had felt since….ever.
She had been of course surprised when she woke up one morning to find her 'father' looking as frail and slimy as a toothpick. She remembered screaming so loud that Bella burst into the room and almost immediately attacked the man mistaking him for an intruder. It had taken a while for All Might to restrain Bella and then explain the situation to the both of them, in the simplest manner possible for Kiana's sake.
Upon learning of his injury Kiana offered to heal the injury. Toshinori was of course hopeful and accepted, but was wise enough to do so under the supervision of recovery girl, which turned out to be a very wise decision. They came across two problems when Kiana tried to heal Toshinori's injuries. The first being that her healing abilities apparently used the girls stamina to heal others, and given her young age Kiana couldn't heal such a grievous wound without exhausting herself to unhealthy levels for a child her age. The second being that apparently her healing abilities don't work to on dead skin and artificial support items.
This meant that for All Might to be completely healed Kiana first had to build up her stamina in order to be capable of not just healing him but restoring his lost organs, which recovery girl assumed would take up more stamina overall. But the major worry was that they would have to completely reopen All Mights wound in order for Kiana to be fully capable of healing her. Not only would that require an operation, but should Kiana fail to heal him there was no guarantee that All Might would be able to survive the reopening of the wound.
Of course Kiana hadn't been told any of this, and instead the UA nurse had only told her that Kiana needed to get stronger before she could fully heal her father, which technically was not a lie.
Speaking of growing stronger Toshinori had been surprised when three months into her adoption Kiana asked if she could be a hero too. The question had surprised All Might mainly because he and the other members of UA staff had agreed that they would allow Kiana to follow her own path. Toshinori remembered the conversation quite clearly.
Flashback – 7 months ago
Toshinori was within the living room watching TV in his civilian form. Becoming a parent was something that had taken a lot of time for the number one hero to adjust to, just like it had taken Kiana some time for her to feel safe, welcome and loved. But the fact that she seemed happier now was one thing that made it all the more worth it for him. It had certainly been a tough adjustment though. The nurturing, advising, sometimes scolding. But he had grown to love the girl all the same.
It was funny how someone could get attached within the span of three months. He was already in love with Kiana as if she was his own flesh and blood, he didn't know how or when it happened really but it just did. Looking back he really didn't know what he was thinking when he thought of adopting the girl, but now he had no regrets and would do it a thousand times over, she was his daughter now.
…and he dared the Schicksal to try and take her again. They would have to kill him before they did.
"Papa?" He heard the voice of his child suddenly call out to him. 'Papa' a term of endearment she had grasped not long after her adopted her but had only started referring to him as such recently. It was something that always made his chest feel a little tighter and heart beat faster.
Looking towards the young child Toshinori could instantly tell that she was nervous about something. She was looking at the ground as she twisted her right leg and occasionally softly kicked the ground beneath her. But the fact that Bella wasn't with her meant it was probably something that was more personal than anything.
"Is something wrong Kiana?" Toshinori asked as he sat up at right on the couch and prompted the girl to come over to him, which she did. He then lifted her up and sat her down on his lap, and yet despite all of this he was quick to notice that Kiana refused to look him in the eye and instead kept her eyes down on her legs. Now he was really starting to get a
"Well I was wondering if I c-could…." The nervous child took a moment to glance at her father, his attention was purely on her and the curiosity in his eyes was not missed, whatever she wanted to say died in her tongue as she shook her head sideways. She couldn't ask him, she was afraid of what he would think of her if she did. "Never mind, i-its nothing." The child stuttered as she shook her head sideways. She didn't want to risk losing one of the few people that actually cared about her for something as silly as this.
Toshinori however was quick to see through the facade. The girl seemed to be uncomfortable and even a little bit scared. As Kiana began to move off his legs so she could head back to her room Toshinori quickly wrapped a had around the child's smaller waist and pulled her closer to him such that her back was resting on his chest.
"Hey, if something's on your mind you know you can talk to me right?" The blonde hero questioned the girl who timidly nodded but still wouldn't look up to meet her father's eyes, "So, talk to me. What's going on?" He asked cautiously not wanting to pressure her into speaking, he had long since learnt to be patient after becoming a father. He watched as Kiana frowned for a few seconds before opening her mouth to speak once more.
"Do you think I can be a hero?" Kiana asked, her voice barely above a whisper. Toshinori had almost missed what the child had said, but fortunately had managed to catch most of her words to piece the rest of it together.
"You want to be a hero?" Toshinori asked with mild surprise. It wasn't that he was surprised that the child wanted to follow this path. In all honesty despite the fact that they would allow her to choose her own path, all the people Kiana currently knew were pro heroes. And the world they lived in revolved around heroism.
With powers like the ones Kiana had, Toshinori had no doubt that she would make it far as a hero, probably just as strong as himself if not more so.
"Mmm…" Kiana nodded in response to his question. There was a certain glow in her eye that instantly caught Toshinori's attention, "I want to save people with a smile like Papa!" Kiana suddenly exclaimed with a beaming smile as she threw a fist into the air. Toshinori was shocked for a moment due to how swiftly her mood seemed to have changed.
A part of him was also proud that he had inspired Kiana to follow that path. He want going to stop her if that was what she truly wanted, and he would support her all the way to the best of her ability.
"…but I don't think I can." The now somber tone of Kiana's voice once more broke Toshinori out of his thoughts. That was unexpected, his daughter had a lot more potential than anyone in the world realized, and as much as he hated that such potential was a result of the numerous experiments that had been done to her.
"Why not? You could be the best hero if you put your mind to it." Toshinori said encouragingly as he rubbed her back soothingly, an action that seemed to help Kiana relax a little bit.
"Because I've hurt and killed people before…" Kiana muttered as she looked down, tears threatening to spill from her eyes.
Toshinori instantly caught onto what she was talking about. He was aware of the people that Kiana had been forced to kill for the sake of testing the limits of her quirk by those who experimented on her. Back then she hadn't truly understood the value of life simply because no one had explained it to her, but now it seemed that guilt and burden was starting to catch up with her.
The worst part was that Toshinori wasn't quite sure how to comfort the child. He had only ever killed one man in his entire career as All Might, even then he wasn't sure that man truly dead and not hiding under a hole somewhere. Regardless he turned Kiana so she was facing him and pulled the child into his chest and wrapped his arms around her tightly.
"It wasn't your fault, those bad people made you do it. Okay?" All Might said as he caressed her head gently. He felt the child nod slightly as she clutched her small hands on his t-shirt and had her face buried in his chest. "And you really would make an amazing hero. So if that's what you really want to do then go for It, and don't let anyone tell you otherwise." He added as he held Kiana's shoulders and looked at the child with a grin, one that Kiana returned with Vernon after quickly wiping away her tears.
"Yeah, I'll do my best, and one day I'll be a better hero than you were!!" Kiana said as the light and fiery determination in her eyes told Toshinori that she would achieve this one way or another.
And surprisingly he was looking forward to such a day. Perhaps in the far future, if she agreed to it, he could have her be his successor. But given how many quirks she already had to master he didn't want to pressure her by passing One For All to her anytime soon.
*End of Flashback*
After that day, Kiana insisted on starting her training as soon as possible. Toshinori talked it over with the UA faculty. Kiana had already been going to the school everyday due to the fact that Nezu was the one whom they agreed would teach her the basic education that a child her age should already know. This had been mainly to give Kiana time to adapt to her knew environment before throwing her into elementary school with other kids her age.
Upon hearing that Kiana wanted to be a hero the UA staff were more than happy to do their part to help Kiana. They decided to start to start small given her age, Toshinori would be responsible for her physical training which mainly took place at home. And whenever she wasn't having classes with Nezu at UA, they had organized for Aizawa to start teaching her the basics of weaponry.
Nezu had also been surprised when Kiana asked the rodent if recovery girl could also teach her medical arts considering that her death quirk also allowed her to heal and regenerate others. Plus she wanted to be able to heal her father in the future. So of course recovery girl agreed, glad to see that Kiana was exploring different areas of her life at such a young age.
And so, before they knew it a year had passed since Kiana's adoption, and none months since she had officially started training and taking her studies seriously in order to pursue her dream of being a hero. One thing the UA staff all agreed on was that Kiana was going to be a prodigy unlike anything the world had ever seen before.
And so here we are today, a year after her liberation from the clutches of Schicksal, we find Kiana and Toshinori, in his buff form. standing in front Wagami Pre-school. The same place that Kiana would be officially attending school with others her age.
Nezu, Recovery Girl and All Might had felt that the girl was more than ready to start attending a public school where she would be able to learn with others her age and become more interactive with the rest of the world. She was already well caught up with her studies, even ahead of those that were her age. And she had enough control over her quirks and physical prowess to be allowed to mix with other children without fear of any incidents.
Despite all of that as the young girl could not help but feel nervous. She hadn't had much interaction with other children her age over the past year. Mainly because of the press that was all over the place wanting to get a word with her over how it was to be raised by All Might, but it was also because she lacked the social skills to interact with other children. She wasn't sure if she would be able to fit in with the other kids here because she knew that she wasn't like them. Her origins, her body, her mind, her quirks. They were all so different from that of her own, and that already made her feel like an outcast before she even entered the class.
"Kiana." All Might called out to the girl, he had seen her nervousness since they left home, and now he saw that turn into discomfort. He knew of Kiana's insecurities, as well as Nezu and the others, that was the main reason they had enrolled her into this pre-school, to give her the chance to break out of that shell. "Are you alright?" The number one hero questioned in worry as he knelt down in front of the girl.
"I…I don't want to go to school." The child said as she watched other children excitedly walking into the school with their parents. Some of them pointing toward her father excitedly only to have one of the parents pull them away.
"…And why not?" All Might questioned, he already knew the answer to the question, but he wanted to hear it from Kiana herself. This was to help her come face to face with her own insecurities.
"I'm not like the other kids." Kiana said with a frown, one that was shared by the number one hero when he heard the statement. He knew that Kiana wasn't like others, but in this world of quirks what two children were exactly identical?
"You're right. But being different isn't necessarily a bad thing Kiana. In this world if full of different kinds of people." All Might started as he placed a hand in his daughters shoulder. "You're just unique in your own way, just like everyone else. Don't let your past, or what anyone says about you, make you think otherwise. Just be nice and smile and everyone in there will love you." All Might finished off as he pointed at the numerous children that were walking in with their respective parents.
Kiana knew that her father was right, but she was still very nervous. Regardless she wouldn't let that stop her today, as a future hero she would need to be able to interact well with others and male lots of friends. This was just a min or step towards achieving that goal.
"Okay." Kiana said with a nod as she steeled her resolve. She would make her father and every one she knew proud of her.
With that being said the two of them entered the school, All Might of course was crowded with children the moment they set their eyes on him, many of them excited to actually see the number one hero in their school. Unfortunately the large number of students didn't make Kiana comfortable. It took the effort of both teachers and some of the remaining parents to disperse the children enough to all the pro hero and his daughter to continue.
Once all was said and done Kiana was taken by her teacher to her class, as she left she couldn't help but look back towards her father once more. She was nervous, there wouldn't be any familiar faces around her today, but the encouraging thumbs up and large smile on her father's face was enough to lift her spirits even if only a little.
"Alright class today we'll be having a new student joining us today. She's a bit shy so please be sure to make her feel welcome and try not to crowd her too much." The teacher, Mrs.Hiori if Kiana remembered correctly, spoke to the rest of the class. The Kaslana was snapped out of her thoughts when the teacher tapped her shoulder gently, "Why don't you go ahead and introduce yourself." Mrs.Hiori suggested kindly with a comforting smile on her face. Kiana gulped as she turned to the class that we're more or less the same age as her.
"My…my name is…K-Kiana Yagi, please take care of me." Kiana spoke timidly the words she'd been taught by Nezu during their classes. She sincerely hoped that none of the students would recognize her as All Might's daughter but she knew that would be wishful thinking on her part, especially after the commotion that had happened just earlier. And her worries were well founded for seconds after she finished her introductions she could already hear the many whispers.
"Isn't she that girl that was with All Might outside?!!"
"What really?!! Do you think she knows him?!"
"I mean she has to right, she was holding his hand and everything!!"
"That's so cool!! I heard my parents say that All Might has a daughter now, do you think that's her?!!"
"My parents said his daughter had seven quirks."
And on and on the chatter went, Kiana could feel the numerous questioning gazes that we're upon her as the whispers travelled all through the classroom. People knew who she was now , and by the looks of it her quirk status was no secret to anybody. That just made her even more nervous as she wrapped her arms around herself and tightly cling to her sides.
"Alright kids that's enough." Mrs.Hiori spoke up immediately silencing the class, the teacher then turned towards the snow haired child, " Alright Kiana why don't you go ahead and pick somewhere to sit from the free spots." She encouraged wanting the girl to be comfortable.
Kiana looked thought the class and could spot a few empty spots. Many of the children next to these empty spots were silently encouraging Kiana to come and sit next to them through gestures or even glances. Kiana could immediately tell it was mainly because of who she was related to rather than wanting to know the girl herself, normally this wouldn't have bothered the child seeing as her father had warned her about this, but she wanted to make the right type of friends on her first day of school, and who she sat next to would greatly influence the start of her social life.
Looking around once more she was quick to notice another girl around the same age as Kiana. She had pitch black hair that went down to her shoulders and the eyes to match. She wore a red dress with black spots. The girl in question sat at the front left corner of the class with no one else sitting next to her or behind her, essentially isolating her from the rest of the class. She also didn't seem to be much attention to what was happening in the class and instead was more focused on the book in her hands, probably a novel.
Kiana stepped forward to occupy the seat that was next to her, but before doing so decided that it would be best if she introduced herself first.
"Hello…is this seat taken?" Kiana asked the girl, the black haired girl looked up from her book and looked up at Kiana. She seemed wary of the snow haired girl for a few seconds before relenting.
"No, it's not." She answered shyly, Kiana could tell that like her the girl wasn't used to interacting with people, or if she did it was very limited interaction. It was for that reason she asked her next question.
"Is it okay if I sit here, I can sit somewhere else." Kiana asked with insight that most children her age would never display. She didn't want to make the girl in front of her uncomfortable but she also wanted to reach out a hand of friendship since she seemed to be a loner in the class.
Kiana watched as the girls expression became contemplative, probably struggling between coming off as rude in telling Kiana to find another seat or telling the snow haired girl to take the seat dispute her own discomfort. Kiana realised that she may have unintentionally put the girl in a tight spot considering that almost the whole class was listening in on their conversation, the teacher included. She was about to step back and look for a different place to sit when the girl spoke once more.
"It's fine, I….I don't mind." The girl said to which Kiana responded with a large smile and set her bag on the side before taking up the once empty seat.
"Thanks, my name is Kiana Yagi by the way." Kiana introduced herself as she stretched out her hand towards the black haired girl. She knew she was probably pushing it, but a part of her was desperate to make some friends her age.
"Yaomomo Yaoyorozu." The girl, now named Yaomomo, introduced herself.
~~~
Break period came by faster than Kiana had expected, and so far she had been enjoying the school experience. Most of the stuff they were learning she was already well aware of, but it was the social interactions with other kids that made it worth it to sit through things she already knew. She had already made a few friends within the first few classes, but had yet to interact with Yaoyorozu again since their initial introductions. The girl didn't seem to be that much of a conversationalist, though that seemed to be more dye to her shy and wary nature.
Even now as everyone was taking their lunch boxes and heading out into the play ground Yaomomo simply took hers and sat underneath the shadow of a nearby tree on her own and resumed reading book she had been earlier. Looking around Kiana noticed that the other kids didn't even bother accompanying her or even talking with her.
Now that she thought about it, none of the other kids had paid the black haired girl much attention throughout their lessons. It seemed as though they had been deliberately avoiding her. This didn't sit well with Kiana. So as soon as the snow haired girl noticed Yaomomo branching off from the rest of the class to sit under the tree she followed her.
"Hey Yaoyorozu-san!!" Kiana called out with a smile as she waved her right hand, with her left holding her lunch bag, while approaching the black haired girl. She must not have heard or seen Kiana judging by the 'eep' that squeaked from her mouth and the way she suddenly jumped, "Sorry, didn't mean to scare you." Kiana apologized sheepishly as she rubbed the back of her head.
"N-no no, it's fine!!" Yaomomo said rapidly as her face went red in embarrassment. She quickly managed to regain her composure, before looking around and seeing that Kiana was alone and the other children were playing around in other parts of the playground, "What are you doing here?" She asked, trying not to come out as rude.
"Do you want to eat together?" Kiana asked with a grin as she held up her lunch bag. The surprised expression on Yaomomo's face confused Kiana.
"A-are you sure Yagi-san? I-I'm….none of the other kids like me very much." Yaomomo confessed as she turned her gaze away from Kiana, the snow haired girl could see and hear the hurt in her tone and on her expression.
"Why is that?" Kiana asked, the girl in front of her seemed to be more than friendly, she was just shy and a bit reserved from what Kiana had observed.
"It's because of my quirk." Yaomomo confessed as she pressed her fingers together in slight discomfort. Kiana almost snorted at the response, it always came down to quirks. Did they view hers to be villainous in some form or manner.
"What's your quirk?" Kiana asked, she figured the girls quirk could be that bad, the snow haired girl literally had one that was call Death for crying out loud!! The black haired girl seemed to get a bit more uncomfortable when Kiana asked her about her quirk, Kiana was about to tell her not to talk about it if she didn't want to but was beat to it.
"My quirk is called Creation. It left me create any non-living thing as long as I know what it is made out of. It uses the fat in my body to make the things though. " Yaomomo explained nervously as she refused to meet Kiana's gaze. Would the snow haired girl start asking her to make stuff for her like the other kids did? Would she get angry and not talk to her as well if she refused to make stuff as well?
"That's an amazing quirk!! Why would anyone not like you because of that!!" Kiana asked in surprise, Yaomomo's quirk was almost identical to that of Reason, the key difference being that Reason didn't use the fats in Kiana's body and the objected created by Creation were permanent unlike the temporary constructs Kiana could create.
In theory Kiana's Reason would be the stronger of the two considering she could create larger constructs and multiple constructs to before she suffered the migraine backlash, while Yaomomo was limited to the amount of fat that she had within her body at any given time. But where Kiana topped in size and quantity Yaomomo held the advantage in quality. Yaomomo's Creation allowed her to create real objects that wouldn't vanish from loss of control. Once made the object was about as real as anything else manmade.
"It's because I refused to make things for the other kids in our class. My parents told me not do it as other people would take advantage of me that way." Yaomomo said timidly.
"Aaahh." Kiana trailed as realization struck, she could see how other kids would start resenting the black haired girl for something like that. It was petty, but most kids in her class were six to seven years old. They would most likely see Yaomomo's refusal as her being selfish or showing off. "Well that's a stupid reason for other kids not to like you. It just proves they want to be your friend because of how awesome your quirk is." Kiana said as she crossed her arms and shook her head sideways.
The sight alone would have looked cute to many adults, but to the black haired girl in front of the Kiana it just seemed silly, as evident by the way she started giggling.
"Anyways, I know I already said this, but I'll say it again. My name is Kiana Yagi and I hope the two of us can become friends." Kiana said as she stretched out her right hand with a bright smile on her face.
Yaomomo looked at the stretched out hand for a few seconds. The blush that was adorning her face appearance to the girl in front of her. It was obvious she was not used to social interactions with other kids due to her lack of friends, the same could be said about Kiana but her reasons were entirely different. Still Kiana could see the two of them becoming close friends in the coming future.
…a sentiment that Yaomomo seemed to share judging by the way that an excited smile dined her face and she clasped Kiana's hand into her own.
"Yaomomo Yaoyorozu, but you can call me Momo. It's what my friends call me." Momo said with a bright smile, one that was immediately returned by Kiana upon hearing the girls response.
