A/N: Set after Requiem, because that was not the end to Josh's night.
Josh comes walking up to his townhouse door taking out his keys, after "unlocking the door" he goes to open it and its locked?... He stares at it confused and then really unlocks it. When he walks in, there is Donna on his couch watching the TV. As he walks in she turns to him.
"Were we having problems with the door?"
Josh just stares at her, ignoring her question. He looks at what she's watching and after a few seconds.
"What is this?"
"It's a show about the habitats and behaviors of the South African Flamingos"
"And you find this interesting?"
"Yes. I learned that they are known to stand on one leg whilst sleeping. This is done in order to minimize body heat escaping into the water in which their feet are submerged."
And whilst she is talking, he grabs the remote and shuts the TV off.
Smirking and sitting next to Donna he says "So, did CJ kick you out?"
Donna smiling says "I told her I found other arrangements; she seemed pretty excited about it."
Mumbling "I bet"
"What?"
"I think she's sleeping with Danny"
"Yea I got that impression too; do you think WE are that transparent?"
"No, no, no, no" with a doubtful look on his face. "Amy tried setting me up tonight, she wouldn't do that if she thought I was seeing you"
"You're seeing me?"
Josh backtracks running his hand through his hair "Umm, Ohh, Aaaa, no I didn't mean that, I just meant if we were that obvious she wouldn't of, yeah, that's what I meant"
"Are you sure about that Josh? What IS going on here?"
Josh gets up starting to pace around the room. Donna struggles not to laugh as Josh starts to ramble.
"I don't know, I have been confused since election night, you basically proposition me for sex and then nothing, no talk after and then we do it again and I am even more confused, I thought maybe you might be waiting until the election was over so we could really talk about it but then the rest of the day happened, and Donna I don't know what to think because you were there for me like no one else could be after Leo. And I don't know if that was out of pity or it was because you feel the same way that I feel about you."
"How do you feel about me?"
Frustrated he says "God Donna I want everything with you, how do you not know this, how did you not know this before, I wanted it since..."
She gets up and walks over to him, putting a hand on his arm.
"I do know, I needed you to tell me"
"What? What do you need me to tell you?"
He leans in closer to her
"I just needed you to tell me. You are right I made the first move, twice, I had to make sure thatyou wanted more from me andI couldn't be the one to ask you for that. Because if you didn't, I didn't want you to feel obligated."
It's as if her words are drawing him in because as she finishes what she is saying he can feel her breath on his.
"I never felt more used," smirking as the tension breaks.
Donna steps back and hits him in the shoulder
She gives him an exasperated look "Josh"
"Seriously, Donna it always meantmore to me than that"
When he says this, all the space between them disappears as Donna wraps her arms around him.
She whispers "Me too"
After a few minutes they pull away and walk back to sit on the couch. As Josh sits down he pulls her closer to him.
"So what do you want to do now?"
"Well, there is this great special on Flamigos…"
