Chapter 02 Nora knows

Quanktumspirit: "I'll admit; this chapter was inspired by today's weather of hot and sunny in my home town. :) Please review. Oh, and guest, despite me and MilkyWayGalaxy4567 writing 'samplers' stories of this plot, can you still judge each as individuals of one another? Thanks."

Info: Nora, Miguel, Yolonda and Linnie belong to MilkyWayGalaxy4567.

Miguel reached his office earlier than expected. He checked in and looked at what his schedule was for today. He had to clean out several dumpster crush machines and clear up ten huge bad wishes hills in his junkyard. So a lot of digging and shifting today. Oh boy.

Miguel left his office and still didn't feel right as rain. As he reached the rubbish crusher in his junk yard he knew he didn't have the courage to go up, just in case he'd fall in and get crushed in the junk mass.

He picked up his walkie-talkie and called one of his employees, "Kristopher, can you come to the rubbish crusher, please. I need your help."

A few seconds later a poof and a blond-haired Fairy, wearing an orange jumpsuit appeared next to him, he was wearing a hard yellow hat and had huge safety gloves on too.

"Y... you called boss?" Kristopher asked scared.

"I'd like you to fill the plastic rubbish into the huge black plastic bins, I'll fly them up and throw them into the crusher and we will continue until the area is cleared; am I understood? If anything would happen stop the crusher right away." Miguel ordered.

Kristopher nodded his head, no one at Mr Fairywrinkles garbage employment is allowed to speak up against his orders and wishes. He is one of the most powerful and wealthy fairies in all of Fairy world and handled the most treacherous wishes and problems ever.

Miguel nodded his head, he started filling the rubbish into the smaller bins and carried one over his shoulder, he grabbed a hold of the ladder and climbed it up, before throwing the contents into the crusher.

Kristopher grabbed a spade and brush and filled the next bins up, again and again, Miguel continued with the carrying load and they both were getting hotter and hotter in the warm weather they were having today.

After four hours they were only done by a third, Kristopher looked up and noticed his boss was drenched in sweat from head to toe, standing at the top of the crusher throwing the billionth load in there.

"Boss, please come down and cool off for a bit. You shouldn't overwork yourself otherwise you could slip." Kristopher called up, looking worried.

"Stop mothering me Kristopher or you'll be on the street!" Miguel shouted down.

Though he had to agree, he was boiling over from his body heat and could barely breathe. Climbing back down the ladder Kristopher filled the next bins up and Miguel climbed the ladder once more. Still getting hotter and hotter.

Suddenly Miguel froze over, after throwing the hundredth or so load into the crusher it was finally full and he climbed back down again. He panted and pressed a button on the side to crush the Fairy rubbish smaller into squares.

Whiles the crusher was doing its job, which would take about 5 minutes, Miguel summoned his water bottle to him and drank greedily from it, trying to cool down. He was feeling a bit dizzy, but that was to be expected in this heat.

"Don't you agree that once in a while Fairies should stop wishing up so much junk just for others to have to clean up after them?" He sighed, "Especially in this 30 degrees heat today."

Kristopher froze over, he knew for a fact Fairy world never overheats, due to the whole world being made of magic, the temperatures were always a pleasant 20 degrees centigrade. Never warmer or colder.

"Sir, it's not warm today." Kristopher pointed out confused and looked over at him, "Are you sure you're ok? The temperature feeling could be from your own body heat."

Miguel blinked, Kristopher waved his wand and summoned Miguel on a chair before grabbing a thermometer.

"I'm not some child Kristopher, leave it!" Miguel shouted.

But Kristopher was having none of it. Whiles the crusher was still pressing the junk together he shoved the thermometer into his chef's mouth. Not caring, whether he gets fired later on or not. The safety of his chef's life will be worth it.

Miguel had no choice but to let his temperature be taken, sweat was still falling from his brow and despite the fact he was sitting down and Kristopher also summoned up some shade he didn't feel any better.

The thermometer beeped and Kristopher removed it from his chef's mouth, his eyes widened in shock.

"Um... sir you definitely have a fever now." He said, shaking.

Miguel blinked, he's never been cold or sick in years and now all of a sudden he was?

"What? How much!" He screamed glaring.

"38 centigrade so 100.4 fahrenheid." Kristopher trembled, "Sir you're really ill. Go home and rest."

"Rubbish, I... I just gotta finish," Miguel said and got up quickly to get the next rubbish sorted out.

But even that he couldn't do. Just as he got up a dizzy spell hit him and he fell over almost a second time, but again Kristopher caught him and poofed them back to Miguel's office.

"I don't care if you'd fire me, chef. You're sick and I order you to go home, rest and recover. Or whatever you have will get worse." Kristopher snapped.

He flew to his chef's desk and wrote him a sick note. Miguel sighed and saw his name at the top as the 'employee' and Kristopher signed off as the chef.

"Please, you need rest," Kristopher begged.

Miguel sighed, he knew his employee was only having his best interest at heart. He checked the time and saw that it was only 10 AM in the morning and he was still feeling really sick. What's wrong?

"Ok, I promise I'll go home and rest. Sorry that you'll have to finish everything alone. You can replace me whiles I'm sick and keep this dump running. Don't cause chaos here and finish the weekly stuff. All the Infos will be in my filing cabinet. Ok? I'll phone when I feel like I can return." Miguel sighed.

Kristopher smiled a little bit, Miguel removed his chef's badge and pinned it, alas a little hard, to Kristopher's chest before poofing himself back home again.

Miguel got home and hoped his wife would at least be there to support him a bit emotionally and make him a meal or drink at least. But as he got home there was just one of her many notes on the counter again. Miguel could crush that woman if he wishes.

"Miguel, I'm at the spar today. Don't bother me. Lunch is in the fridge. Yolonda." Miguel read.

But he needed her here now. Even if he might have to confess his affair with Nora... Miguel swallowed hard, his wife could kill him if she'd found out they both had sex together and threw her he was now sick.

"No, first lunch, then the doctor to check me over then worry about your 'relationship'." Miguel ordered himself.

Seeing as Yolonda did seem to think of him, he checked in the fridge what this delicious meal might be. His stomach was growling like a loud bear; he was so hungry he could eat anything.

He found a pink tub, strange Wanda must have left this behind or something with something black shadowy in it. Miguel got it out and opened it.

He was presented with several cooked noodles and a grey sauce swimming around them. It didn't look really appetising, though the content was only slightly warm to the touch so it had been made a few hours ago.

Miguel didn't care, he was starving, shoving the contents into the microwave he set the timer, cooked it and as soon as the machine beeped it was done he pulled it out and consumed the meal at a fast pace.

Yup, it was goulash with pasta and beef meats in the meal too. One of his favourites. Not caring how she was able to make him this meal Miguel scoffed it down as fast as possible. Then cleaned up after himself.

He felt a bit better after eating something, but deep down he knew he still had to go to the doctor to find out why he was having the dizzy spells. Miguel swallowed hard he hated going to the doctors, mainly because the news the doctors had for him was never good.

"Come on, you chicken, it's just a check-up and then once you swallow whatever pill or juice you have to take you'd feel better in no time." Miguel sighed.

But his wife was still gone and Miguel was scared for his life from doctors. He remembers the very last time he was by one was to say goodbye to his mother, who died of Fairy influenza as he was very young. So he never forgave doctors and would avoid them at all costs.

But his health was worrying; vomiting, dizzy spells, 100.4 Fahrenheit in his body temperature, constantly feeling hungry despite the fact he's just eaten a meal. Wait a sec.

Miguel flew back to the fridge and got five green apples out, cut them up before eating those as his dessert, slowly feeling fuller again.

Yes, something is wrong. No choice he will have to go on his own... or does he?

Miguel had an idea, he checked the time. It was just 1 PM, so school was out now. Yolanda was most likely still at the spar, but there was one person he could ask and whom he was close to.

He swallowed hard and picked his phone up again, shaking with fear and praying that Linnie wasn't home. Unfortunately, he only knew the Cosma's house phone number, not their mobiles of them. Oh well, it's worth a shot if he wanna survive.

A short ringing later and someone did pick up.

"Hello, Cosma's residence. This is Linnie. How may I help?" a soft male voice spoke through.

Damn it, Linnie had picked the phone up. How was Miguel going to cover this up without Linnie suspecting anything? Suddenly he had an idea.

"Hello Mr Cosma, this is Mr Fairywrinkle speaking. I just received a complaint about your none sorted magic rubbish I had picked up a few hours ago. May I speak to the lady of the house please to sort this out? We might need to fine you if this order isn't completed." Miguel ordered.

He heard a slight rustle, "Oh... hadn't we? I was sure the paper, electrics, plastic bottles etc all had their appropriate boxes and I saw your men putting them into their truck with several different lids. We didn't have anything none sorted sir I can guarantee. If I'd-"

Miguel had no patience for this. "JUST GET NORA ON THE PHONE, YOU DEADBEAT!"

Miguel heard a small scream, as if a mouse had just been trodden on and a flash sound. He waited a few minutes and another flying sound was heard and the phone picked up again.

"Mr Shouter don't be so loud. I was having my afternoon nap. Who is this and what is going on?" Nora answered the phone.

Miguel blinked, Nora sounded really tired, maybe the poor woman had another hangover? Wouldn't really surprise him, he knows how hurtful they can be after a good drink.

"Sorry to wake you up, Nora." Miguel said softer and quiet, "But... something has happened and I'd like you to accompany me to the hospital. I've been feeling under the weather recently and almost had myself killed... my wife is at the spa so it will be safe for us to meet up if we can. Please?"

The phone fell silent, Miguel guessed that Nora was gathering her thoughts to come up with a concluding reply without Linnie noticing anything.

"Oh shit, I'm really sorry sir. I'll come over to the company right away to pay the fine. We're so sorry and we will guarantee to sort the rubbish out better in the future. I'll be there in ten minutes." Nora replied.

Miguel blinked, was this way of her telling him where to meet up? He thinks yes as the phone suddenly got cut. Oh well, back to the junkyard he goes.

Nora was fuming. Miguel and having to go to the hospital? And that deadbeat Yollonda of a wife of his had no time? That's her freaking husband who is sick for crying out loud.

"Nora, dear what's wrong? Why do you have to pay a fine? I'm quite certain I had everything sorted out right last time." Linnie trembled.

He does recall it was his duty to put the rubbish out every time. And if he'd made a mistake about it last time that could result in Nora losing her temper then he'd be one dead man.

Nora sighed, she knew she had to calm down, "Linnie, calm down, I don't even know what kind of evidence Mr Fairywrinkle has against us. I'll see what he has to say and pay whatever fine there is to pay so don't worry. Go to the lounge and just wait until I get back."

"Y... yes dear." Linnie trembled almost crying again.

"AND FOR GOD'S SAKE LINNIE STOP CRYING!" Nora shouted at him, before slamming the door.

Linnie threw his head into the pillows, but instead of calming down, he wept more and more, shaking and feeling like a wet fish. What did he do wrong now?

Miguel summoned himself to the junkyard, as 'discussed' with Nora. Not that he'd wanna be here in the first place.

Nora appeared a short while later and she pulled him away, the two walking side by side down the road as they looked around to make sure no one spotted them.

"Thank you for coming Nora," Miguel whispered, looking around scared.

Nora glared a little, "Sorry it took a while, I had to lie to Linnie again and pretended the phone call from you was to pay a fine for not sorting out the rubbish."

Miguel chuckled, "And he bought that?"

Nora nodded, Miguel, smiled but flinched again as nausea came back up again.

"But now to the actual real reason, you wanted to see me again. What's wrong Miguel?" Nora asked, wanting to get right to the point.

Miguel sighed, well now or never. "I've been feeling really unwell this morning: dizziness, short of breath, overheating, not being able to eat anything and I also blacked out a few hours ago at work."

Nora nodded, seeing that Miguel really didn't look too good.

"I headed to the hospital to have myself checked over... and the results came back that I'm pregnant again," Miguel admitted looking down. "They said the baby is about two days old now..."

Nora sighed, Miguel, didn't need to continue as she worked it out herself. Miguel and pregnant? A two-day-old fetus? This means that she and Miguel were the biological parents of the baby... unless...

"After we did 'that'," Nora said calmly, hoping in her mind she was wrong, "Did you do it again with Yolonda?"

"No, I didn't. I just flew home and headed straight to bed. You are definitely the last Fairy whom I had done THAT with." Miguel said. "No doubt about that. And no the last few days nothing else has happened in that way either."

Nora groaned, that's what she feared. Shit. Her boyfriend is pregnant and she was the mother. What were they going to do? Well, one thing was for sure, despite Nora rather wanting to eat a rotten fish she knew what they had to do.

"Well Miguel... we'd have to tell Yolonda and Linnie about it... and you'd need to think whether or not you want the baby. We will do it this evening, ok?" Nora sighed. "Damn it, Miguel, why did this have to happen? Um... Miguel?"

Miguel had stopped flying and raced to a nearby broken toilet and threw up in there again. Nora sighed, summoned up some water for her 'boyfriend' and sighed. Yes, he was definitely pregnant.

"Thank you Nora and ok." Miguel sighed, "Sorry."

She just shrugged, "Just get back home and rest for now. And tell Yolonda that you're taking her out to the Pointy Crown restaurant for dinner. I'll grab Linnie and well meet up there to tell them both."

Miguel sighed and nodded his head, good idea.
