Quickly I rushed down the stairs, nearly tripping and falling twice as I did, and towards the source of the smoke where everybody else was running from it. I was most likely the only one heading forwards as I heard the roar of what I assume to be the second gorilla, aka Orange mask.
Once I got a clear view, I found the gorilla just in time as it threw monkey into the air. I could also see that under it's foot, Mantis was trying to keep the brute from crushing him. The gorilla himself had seemed to have lost several plates of armor along its arms and even part of it's chest plate had been noticeably dented. I couldn't see where Tigress was, I just hope that she's okay as well.
Wasting no time, I charged and jumped up into the air behind orange mask and wrapped myself around his head. Before he could rip me off of his head, I pulled to the side, shifting the balance enough for Mantis to keep pushing upwards with a great deal of force which threw the gorilla up into the air, only by a couple of feet but the impact back onto the ground was more than enough to hurt it, even with its remaining armor.
Given the chance I slithered off in time before the gorilla thrashed around. I think I only helped to piss it off. The orange masked freak turned to me, forgetting all about Mantis, and beat its chest plate in a threatening manner as it took one of the miniature bombs and threw them towards me. I dodged the bomb easily but even so it did a lot of damage to the surrounding area as carts and walls were either blown to pieces or received large cracks. Judging by the amount of bombs the gorilla still had on its belt, he could destroy a good portion of the village. I had to deal with that first before I could do any proper fighting.
"Mantis! Get Monkey and Tigress and have them ready at the east side of the Village"! I yelled to the bug on the opposite side of Orange mask.
Mantis didn't argue and followed my instruction, leaving me with the gargantuan brute.
"Come on you ugly son of a bitch"! I mocked as I retreated to the east side of town. The gorilla roared as it got on it's feet and knuckles and charged, following me as I had hoped it would. As I did, I tried to lead it through wide areas. Every few roads I had no choice but to go down a narrow alleyway in which Orange mask climbed over and even tried chucking anything it could from the bombs on its belt to handfuls of roof tiles. None of them able to hit their target, making my opponent that much angrier and that much more dangerous.
Soon, I no longer heard the gorilla above me. I emerged from the alleyway to see that he had vanished. How? How do you lose something that big?
Turns out I didn't as I heard another roar from above. I looked to see the orange masked gorilla suddenly smash into the ground and grabbed me with one of its hairy hands. No matter how much I struggled or tried attacking, I couldn't free myself.
I got punched and smashed into walls, covering my body in marks and cuts. I was starting to feel the effects too. I needed to do something to get out of this grip or I'm as good as dead. The brute had me only by one hand, which meant I had complete movement with the lower half of the body. I acted quickly as I wrapped my lower half round Orange mask's arm, just below his wrist, and squeezed as hard as I could. Harder! HARDER!
...
*SNAP*
"GRRAAAAAAGRRRRRHHHHH"!
The gorilla went berserk and dropped me as it clutched it's arm, yelling in extreme pain. All the same, I can't believe that I had just done that. I had just broken its arm by crushing it!
If the ape wasn't mad before, he sure as hell was now as I hauled ass, sticking with my original plan. I was so afraid, I didn't dare look back. I could hear unintelligible screaming from Orange mask as he charged ferociously, though he was slower than he was before because of his *cough* injury.
Thankfully, I had reached the east side of town just in time. Why was the east side of town so important? Because of the river that flowed next to it. You'll see why.
Mantis, Monkey and a bloodied Tigress had done what I had asked them to and they waited at the river. I quickly slithered to the side of the river and turned to see my opponent. God how I wished I hadn't. Even with the mask on, I could see hatred burning in it's eyes. Spit and drool hung from its tooth filled mouth. It's fingers dug into the ground, using its one good hand to pull it further along. What I couldn't stand was the horrible yelling it made. It was as though it was trying to say something but couldn't form it into words.
It drew closer and closer at great speed. I had to hold my tail up towards Tigress and the other to tell them not to come to my aid. Soon enough, the creature, instead of trying to grab me like its brother had done, it foolishly dived right at me, wanting nothing more than to tear me in two. I had to quickly dodge to the side, careful not to even be touched by the apes sausage like fingers. The creature landed straight into the water and disappeared from sight underneath the wavy surface.
A few second passed...
*SPLASH*
"RRRAAAAAARRRRRGGGGHHHHHH"!
The orange masked gorilla suddenly emerged with enough strength to rip itself onto dry land. In it's moment of insanity, it ripped off at least ten bombs, lit them with the mask and threw them all at me, covering the whole ground. I just stood still as calm as I could be.
The gorilla laughed, sure it would achieve its goal. The fuses met their ends. Nothing happened. The laugh turned to confusion and I smiled.
"What? Don't you know you can't light wet powder? Shouldn't have jumped into the water like that".
Okay, that did it. The gorilla went berserk, even more so, swinging its arms, yes even it's broken one, in every direction hoping that its poorly coordinated attacks would eventually hit me. I was forced to move back and looked to see everyone else surprised with the tactic.
"GUYS? A LITTLE HELP PLEASE IF IT'S NOT TOO MUCH TO ASK"! I yelled, now starting to fear for my life again as I hadn't planned this far ahead.
Thankfully, they snapped back to reality and rushed, attacking the gorilla wherever it was exposed. There were too many of us for the gorilla to defend against. Until Mantis got onto it's now unarmored shoulder, which had been smashed to pieces by Tigress, used what I had now learned to be paralyzing touches. After a few precise hits, the gorilla froze. It was over. It was finally over.
"... Is he going to be okay"? I asked, though it was a stupid question. After all, who was the one who snapped his arm?
"Oh he won't be able to move for a couple of days, but yeah he'll be fine".
"His arm seems a bit... bent". Tigress pointed out before turning to me. I guess I would have to come clean.
"Yes, well. I may have slightly, accidentally... crushed his arm and broken a bone. Maybe two".
Where I expected to be yelled at, I instead saw a raised eyebrow from Tigress.
"Don't worry. You did what you had to for the protection of the valley. A necessary move in the opinion of most". She said, nodding. I then remembered the blood staining her combat vest.
"Never mind him, what about you"?
"It's nothing. I just got caught on a rouge piece of broken wood. Nothing serious". I suppose she was telling the truth. If it had been anything worse, she would have been struggling to move around so freely. "Though so seem to be... badly injured".
I looked at my body, noticing all the bruises and small cuts all round my body.
"Some of those may need stitching". I sighed, knowing well that Tigress would have gone and stitched my wounds by force if she had to.
"Okay, fine. Let's get back and get it over with".
Ten minutes had passed and I had to have all my cuts cleaned before being moved into my room at the barracks. I watched as Tigress brought in a box of needles of every size along with some string.
"Okay, let's do this. You ready"? I asked.
"I'm not stitching your wounds".
"... Then who is"?
At that moment, my door opened and I saw Viper standing and smiling.
"No. No I'm not going through with this". I spoke seriously, dropping Viper's smile.
"You don't think I know how to stitch up wounds"?
"No it's not that but... for pete's sake Viper, you've just been knocked out! As ar as I know you may put a needle through my eyeball"!
"I promise you I'm fine".
"N. O".
Viper sighed in annoyance and nodded to Tigress who began to hold me down.
"Hey! Tigress, get off"! I spoke angrily, trying to struggle out of her grasp.
"Stop it. You're only going to make you wounds worse". Tigress warned but I was in no mood to negotiate.
"I said get off"! I growled.
"Mike, stop it". I looked to see Viper staring at me with pleading eyes. "Please"?
"... Fine". I pouted. Tigress released her grip slightly. After seeing that I was no longer thrashing about like a fish out of water, she let go all together and left. Waiting outside just in case.
I sat there patiently as I felt the needle pierce my torn skin. It hurt like hell but I did my best to endure it. I had to bite down on the wooden frame of my bed until it was over. Overall, I had twenty two stitches.
"See? That wasn't too bad". Viper spoke, trying to cheer me up.
"What, no lollipop"? I joked making Viper laugh a bit. "Still, thanks for stitching me up".
"Of course. You'd have done the same for me".
I slid off the bed, carefully in case any of my stitches came loose. However I didn't expect a sudden hug and kiss. A little longer than any of the previous ones, but I certainly didn't complain. Eventually, it broke.
"Stay safe". She said, using the same words I had used earlier when helping her to her bed.
Viper left leaving me to rest and I just sat there. Thinking. Feeling that something needed to be done about Fennu. This defense tactic was going to end up with us slaughtered. I'll be sure to make a note of it to Shifu once I get some rest.
...
Well... This one was a little darker... Anyway, two chapters in one day. Guess I'm in a generous mood is all ^^ Hope you enjoyed and like I said, things are getting more serious. Hope you enjoyed reading. Cheerio!
