The Dance had ended.
The time team RWBY got back to the dorm. Much had gone down but both Guts and Ruby were quiet about it and Yang waved off the events but kept giving them teasing smiles especially to Ruby who would glare back at Yang.
Once they got to the safety of there dorm however everything was explained. The infiltration. Guts and Ruby's interception, Ironwood, the events of the room and Yang. And there remergance into the ballroom
Weiss rolled her eyes. "Of all people I didn't expect it to come from you Ruby…Yang Maybe. Guts…Guts knows the risk but you?" Weiss said
"Yea well…" Ruby shrugged trying to defend herself.
"No! No there is no yea well! When will you get that into your head-?!" Weiss said
Suddenly there was a buzz on Ruby's scroll
"Ozpin wants to speak with me and Guts." Ruby said
"Well if we don't get disbanded from this we will be lucky." Weiss said
"I highly doubt that will happen. From what I heard from last night it almost seemed as The General was praising you." Blake said
"Oh don't think I don't know that." Weiss said
Ruby raised her hands "look can we do this later? I'm sure The General or Ozpin wont be happy if we're late." Ruby said
Weiss rolled her eyes. "Fine but don't think we won't talk about this later." She said Ruby nodded and left
She headed to the elevator and pressed the button to Ozpins office only to realize all the other buttons had been pressed as well.
Ruby rolled her eyes "fuck so much for being on time." She sighed as she looked down
"Well if I have the time…" Ruby told herself as her hand reached under her blouse and grabbed her perky tips.
Up in Ozpins office Guts was already there giving his side
"So you think we should go now?" Ironwood said
"Yes again we were too forward last night we need to strike them now before they can refocus or perhaps escape." Guts reasoned.
"But if it's not the final move…" Ozpin warned.
"It's not our final move either Oz. We're just setting them back a bit." Guts said
Glynda stepped forward.
"As much as it's a reasonable plan we don't have the capability to perform such a task." She said
"From what I hear Students get there first mission's today am I right?" Guts asked
"Yes but there is only first years left…no!" Glynda said
"It's a reasonable option." Guts said
"You wish to have first years people who haven't even had a real chance to shadow a professional to go in alone with no backup to stop a citywide terrorist threat!" Glynda said
"Even to you Guts that's bold." Ozpin said agreeing with Glynda
"Yes I say leave it to the professional's I can have a strike team at Mountain glen in less than 10 minutes." Ironwood said
"And by the time they locate them the army will already be on the move and by that time you won't be able to bring your troops back to stop the attack. No they go in alone it's the only chance we have to actually stop it." Guts said
"Guts I must admit Team RWBY is a very good team. But even I don't think they are willing to do the task we ask for them. There hasn't been enough time to prepare them." Ozpin said
"They we're here Oz…OZPIN THEY WERE HERE!" James said stalling his fist on the table
"Yes James we are very much aware of that thank you…" Glynda said
"Fantastic your aware, now are we going to do something about or are we just going to ignore what's right in front of us." James said
Behind them the elevator beeped as Ozpin stood up "come in." He said
Ruby stepped out sweating and her blouse crooked but with a bright smile.
"Ugh sorry it took so long… someone pressed all the buttons on the elevator on the way up… it wasn't me." Ruby said
Guts rolled his eyes as Ozpin smiled
"Thank you for coming Ruby tell me how are you feeling?" He asked
"Good I guess I would feel better if my bad guy catching record wasn't oh for three." Ruby said
No one said anything
"Ok so that's the mood we're going for got it." Ruby said rubbing the back of her head.
"Ruby I just have to say that your work with Guts have done a very good job. You discovered a threat, you took action! And by doing so stopped a threat before it could prosper." James said
"Still I'd have loved to uncover who it was under that damn mask." Ruby said
"We all would but perhaps it's not all lost tell us what do you remember about the fight?" Ozpin said
"Not much really I don't know what guts has told you but I know she fought with glass…and her clothing lit up when she attacked." Ruby said
"Safe with a glass. That's sounds like the women I fought the day we meet Ruby." Glynda said
"Embedding Dust into clothing is an age old technique it could be anyone."
"So…are we going off the assumption that they are connected with Roman Torchwick?" Ruby said
Ozpin smiled "that's unfortunately the only thing we have to go off of right now." He said
"Any news as to the Paladin's locations?" Ruby asked
"Unfortunately it appears the trackers were descovered in transit." James said
Ruby cursed at her feet at there luck.
"However we did get the idea that they were moving fast towards the southeast." James said
"Yes Blake said the same thing. Can you perhaps narrow down the transport used biased on speed?" Guts asked
Unfortunately not we were only able to narrow down that it wasn't a convoy of motor vehicles. But both bullheads and trains could reach the speeds they were going at in a straight line." James said
"Wait Bullheads and trains you said?" Ruby asked
"Yes that's what we…ohhh." Glynda said
"How many trains go to southeast Vale?" Guts asked
"None." Glynda said
"No…there is one…but it was abandoned and blocked off decades ago." Ozpin said
"Where does it lead to?" Guts asked
Ozpin, Glynda and Ironwood looked out to mountain range
"Mountain Glenn…" Ruby said
"Can't be…Is that the staging point?" James asked
"It's absurd! Why?" Glynda asked
"Hide in plain sight." Guts said
"Damn they have a knife to Vale's underbelly while we're licking a head wound." James said
"Ruby Guts thank you for this incite we will inform you of the next move when we can." Ozpin said
"Of course headmaster. Team RWBY is always ready." Ruby said as she headed to the elevator.
"Ms rose. I don't think I need to tell you about the sensitivity of this meeting." Ozpin said
Ruby nodded as she and Guts left.
Once the door closed Ozpin James and Glynda were still there talking.
"They tricked us up good. I played right into there hand. And we have no way to stop them." James said
"They always had to be smarter than us." Ozpin said solemnly
Glynda and James looked at Ozpin together
"Are you giving up?" Glynda asked
"You never give up!" James said
Ozpin said nothing
James slammed his hand on the table "Damn it!" He hissed
"James!" Glynda ranted
"He's right it's hopeless! I move my troops in they attack early whether they are prepared of not. I can't bring my troops back in time it will be a disaster the panic of the citizens After the attack will be enough to attract a horde of Grimm large enough that it will topple Beacon within hours." With that the CCTV." James said
"Global communication's." Glynda said
"Not only that but shipping. Imagine no global trading Dust prices are already sky high and if people can't go international for dust and merchants can't bring it in." James said
"The huntsman won't be able to arm themselves…we'll be finished…" Glynda said.
James sat down "all because I got to damn trigger happy. I'm sorry Oz." James said
"No…it's not over yet…" Ozpin said
Glynda and James looked up
"A desperate gamble…" Ozpin said
Glynda and Ironwood looked at each other.
"Do you mean to tell me we are going through with that plan?" James asked
"Even that it's risky." Glynda said
"All plans have risk." Ozpin said
"But if they die we are screwed." Glynda said
"If we don't we're opening the gates to the enemy." Ozpin said
"I can't believe we're ranting about this this is my mistake I should take the blame and I should fix it!" James snapped
"It is not James!" Ozpin said standing up.
"Yes it's risky yes it's unprecedented. But these are desperate times." Ozpin said
"But again going in without backup it's absurd they will never survive it." Glynda said
"You're right they wouldn't…but we have the best backup they've got…" Ozpin said.
Ruby got back to the dorm and the rest of the team was excited about the news.
"What happened?" Yang asked
From there they countuned the conversation they left off with.
"That was a risky move…" Weiss said
"No I thought you handled it well." Blake said
"I'm not talking about the CCTV incident that I agree you did well. But I'm talking about after." Weiss said
"Oh come on Weiss." Ruby rolled her eyes.
"No I'm serious! You told me in confidence that this was your dream are you willing to risk your dream because you couldn't handle the pressure?" Weiss asked
"That's not the issue." Yang said
"Really? And this is from her sister?! I'd expect that you would at least care even a tiny bit." Weiss said
"Look Weiss, Rubes was safe. She is safe there is no problem at all. She knew the risk and didn't take a risk at all." Yang said
"You said you saw them naked together. I doubt that that was safe." Blake said
"Girls enough I didn't get pregnant, I didn't even cum. I-fuck!" Ruby growled as she clutched the chair she was sitting in.
Blake and Weiss looked at each other weariesry while Guts and Yang looked at Ruby as if wondering if she was going to give in.
"Ugh…I'm ok…" Ruby said
"Ok spill we won't judge you… what's up Ruby." Weiss said
Ruby blushed and looked around with Yang nodding and Guts smiling.
Ruby sighed as she stood up and pulled up her skirt.
Weiss gasped
"Wow!" Blake said
"We found out Ruby has an edging fetish. Probably from when she first discovered her semblance and puberty." Yang shrugged
"Wow an aura lock huh? That's high end." Blake said
"Very…how long is it set for?" Weiss asked
"N-no time limit…only my physical one…" Ruby said with a blush.
"Your physical limit?" Blake asked with a raised eyebrow.
Ruby nodded
"Oh dear." Weiss said
"Your saying your willing to wait until you physically beg?" Blake asked
Ruby nodded
"Well I guess you got no one to blame but yourself." Weiss said
Yang nodded "true. Oh that reminds me. Dad sent us something." Yang said
"Really something from home?" Ruby asked as she sped around to try to grab the package.
"I wonder if it's a dildo for her belt?" Weiss teased. Which made Ruby trip
"Weiss!" Ruby moaned as she fell forward feeling herself heating up
"Hmm looks like she isn't opposed to that idea." Blake teased.
"Nah Ruby has always been a horndog due to her semblance her sexuality is in a hyperdrive sort of state any conversation about sex or sexual activities is enough to bring her to an edge." Yang explained
"Argh!" Ruby moaned as she leaned back and went to reach for her breasts but was stopped by Yang
"Nnnn!" Ruby moaned as she tried to struggle out of her grip
"No!" Yang said
Ruby stopped struggling in a pitiful moan as Yang opened the box and there dog popped out
"Zwie!" Ruby cried.
"He sent a dog?" Blake said
"In the mail?" Weiss asked
"Oh he's always doing something like this." Yang said
"Your father or your dog?" Blake asked wearily.
Fortunately they were called to the auditorium for there speech to begin the vytal festival as huntsman.
Guts got a buzz from his scroll.
'We're going with your idea. Go to the launch pad and wait for team RWBY's arrival and please make sure they get back in one piece." Oz-
Guts closed his scroll and headed out unseen by the other members of team RWBY as they entered the auditorium as Glynda spoke to quiet everyone down
"Quiet! Quiet please. Professor Ozpin would like to share a few words before we begin."
The headmaster strode forward and spoke in a calm yet no nonsense voice giving encouragement when needed. "Today we stand together, united. Mistral. Atlas. Vacuo. Vale. The four Kingdoms of Remnant. On this day, nearly eighty years ago, the largest war in recorded history came to an end. It was a war of ignorance, of greed, and of oppression. A war that was about much more than where borders fell or who traded with whom, but about the very idea of individualism itself. We fought for countless reasons, one of which being the destruction of all forms of art and self-expression. And as you are well aware, that was something many could not stand for. As a result, those who opposed this tyranny began naming their children after one of the core aspects of art itself: color. It was their way to demonstrate that not only would they refuse to tolerate this oppression, but neither were the generations to come. And it was a trend that is held to this very day. We encourage individuality, expressionism, and unity through diversity. As I have said, today we stand together, united. But this bond cannot exist without effort. Which is why today, while the rest of the world celebrates peace, Huntsmen and Huntresses will work to uphold it. As first year students, you will be tasked with shadowing a professional Huntsman or Huntress on a mission. Some of you may be taken out of the Kingdom for several days. Others may work within the walls for the rest of the week. But no matter which path you choose, remember to be safe, remember your training, and remember to do your very best."
Ozpin walked away
Ruby shugged "we'll girls let's see what we can get for a mission." Ruby said
"That will be easy." A voice said from behind as Ruby turned to see the Headmaster.
"Professor?" Ruby asked
"Your mission has already been selected and your Bullhead is ready to go. The huntsman you will be shadowing is on launch pad four and expects you to be there in ten minutes." Ozpin said
"What's the briefing on the mission?" Blake asked
"You will be briefed on the way, good luck girls…Vale is counting on you…" Ozpin said ominously.
"You don't think?" Weiss asked
"One way to find out." Ruby said as they grabbed their stuff and headed out.
"That wasn't exactly uplifting." Yang said
"But it's the truth." Blake said back
"It's gonna be tough, but I know we can do it!" Ruby said encouraging the team
A student runs past the team. " Hey! Team CFVY is back!"
"Velvet? Are you okay?" Blake asked
"I'm fine. I had Yatsuhashi to look out for me." Velvet said
"Your mission was supposed to end a week ago! What happened?" Weiss said
"Nothing happened. It was just ... there were just so many…Oh, but don't worry. You first-years are just shadowing Huntsmen, so you should be fine
"Right." Yang nodded
"I should go. Be safe, okay?" Velvet said as she ran off.
"We can do this. We've never backed down before, and we're not going to start now." Ruby said
Blake nodded "Right."
"Besides, it won't only be us out there! We'll be fighting alongside a genuine Huntsman!" Ruby said happy.
"Yeah!"
Outside on Pad four a gruff voice spoke to them
"Finally you took your time…"
However, that wasn't the only one.
"Welcome ladies! Who's ready to fight for their lives?!" Dr Oobleck stood Next to Guts before the four.
"Guts?" Ruby asked
"Professor Oobleck?" Weiss asked confused
The Doctor paces back and forth ranting very quickly
"Yes, I'm afraid those bags won't be necessary, girls, seeing as you've opted to shadow a Huntsman on what is now essentially a reconnaissance mission. I can assure you, we will not be establishing a single base of operations; rather, we will be traversing several miles of hazardous wasteland and making camp in any defendable locations we may stumble upon. I packed all of our essentials myself, plotted our air course, and readied the airship. And…" he Zoomed up right to Weiss' face. "It's Doctor Oobleck. I didn't earn the PhD for fun, thank you very much!" He said before leaving
"Um Sir why is Guts here and shouldn't he be leading us after all he is a teacher?" Ruby asked
Suddenly the Doctor got very serious as the air around them began to chill.
"The reason Guts isn't leading this mission is because he's actually not technically a full huntsman, that's the only reason you're not shadowing him. However The headmaster has informed me that no I'm not the authority of this mission that is Guts. He has final say." Oobleck said
At this point Guts stepped forward trying to keep to schedule.
"Come on ladies chop chop we got a city to save onto the airship!" Guts said as He and the doctor hopped on the Bullhead.
"Well…just like old times…time to save the world!" Ruby said with an arm swing but even by her forced smile she was unsure.
There was a cringy conversation with JNPR and Sun and Neptune where Sun and Neptune told them they were working for a private detectives.
After a cringy call out by Dr Oobleck the others made there way to the Airship.
Guts stood In the airship as everyone hopped on.
"Pilot we're on go!" Guts said as the bullhead flew off.
Guts walked over to the girls "alright listen up." Guts said, getting everyone's attention.
"This mission as far as Beacon is concerned doesn't exist. The official records will be put out that we came to the objective to lower the Grimm population before it grew enough to be a threat to the city of vale." Guts said
"But that's not what we are actually doing?" Blake asked
Guts nodded
"Then what exactly are we doing?" Weiss asked
"We're starting phase 3." Guts said
Oobleck just looked lost this wasn't what the Headmaster told him.
"The Paladin's." Ruby said
Guts nodded
"Where are we going?" Yang asked
"Mountain Glenn." Guts said as he pulled out his scroll
"The headmaster gave me a light reading about the history of the settlement." Guts said
"So what's the plan?" Ruby asked
"First we land in the expansion. And get our bearings then we locate any and all hints of white fang activity. And locate their operation." Guts said
"And stop it?" Blake asked
"Yes but it must be done carefully. Otherwise we will spook them and they will trigger the attack early." Guts said
"Which wouldn't be good." Blake said
"It would show The public that Huntsman are unable to protect the people. Or scarier them enough to cause more panic to make the enemies plan easier in the future." Guts said
"Alright we're ready." Ruby said
Guts smiled darkly at them. "Let's hope so." Guts said
The bullhead leveled out as the 4 jumped out As Guts and Oobleck spoke to the pilot. "I don't expect us to require evac but just in case stay around here to be safe." Guts said
"Rodger." The pilot nodded as Guts jumped Oobleck was already on the ground giving his preptalk to them so he stayed silent.
"Ladies! You still may be students, but as of this moment, your first mission as Huntresses has begun! From this point forward, you need to do exactly as I say! Do you understand?"
Everyone nodded in the affirmative.
"Guts you want to say anything?" Oobleck asked as he turned to Guts who just landed
He landed in the iconic "superhero" landing with Dragonslayer impaling and splitting the concrete as he stood up
"Girls as of this point you are no longer Students but huntsmen. I won't coddle you anymore. We're here to do a job so we do it." Guts said as he looked over to see that Ruby had a backpack on her.
Guts leveled dragonslayer at Ruby.
"You better give me a damn good reason that you're weighing yourself down with that bag!" Guts said
Ruby Eeeped as Guts stood over her. As well as Oobleck
"I'm waiting an answer-." Guts was cut off as Zwie popped out of backpack.
Guts staired at Zwei. And Zwie stared at Guts.
Guts nodded as did Zwie. "Alright he stays." Guts said.
Ruby sighed in relief
"To that end though you will take care of him." Guts said
Ruby nodded as Guts looked around.
"Alright girls you know exactly what we came here to do. We act swift. Move quickly and be devastating." Guts said
"Where do we start?" Blake asked
"I'd like The doctor to give us his insite on that first. Actually see how he thinks." Guts said looking over to oobleck who was playing with Zwie.
Seeing as everyone's attention was on him he stood up and tried to hide the stick he was playing with Zwie behind his back.
"Ah, yes, straight to the chase; I like it!, As you've been informed, the southeast area has been marked as a recent hot spot for Grimm activity. Now, there are several possible explanations for this behavior, one of which being... Grimm." He said
Ruby stood Just as confused as her teammates for the redundancy "Uh, what?" She asked
Oobleck went into detail. "Grimm. A creature of Grimm approximately one hundred yards from us at this very moment."
"What?!" Yang gasped kicking herself for getting caught off guard sure that Guts would be angry at them for it.
A glance at Guts told her She was right
As She turned to look like the other girls at the lone Beowolf wandering into the street, joining them in unleashing their weapons.
Oobleck halted them "Stop!"
Blake looked confused "Huh?"
She Lowers Gambol Shroud like everyone else to listen.
Oobleck explaned "There are a number of reasons why Grimm will congregate in this particular area, the most likely of which will be their attraction to negativity: sadness, envy, loneliness, hatred. All qualities that are likely held by our hidden group harboring ill intent."
Ruby sighed she was starting to not like this "So... What now?"
Oobleck nodded "We wait. We track. If this specimen leads us to its pack, that pack may subsequently lead us to our prey."
Blake sighed, feeling bored already "How long do we wait?"
Oobleck looked away "It's uncertain. Hours, days, weeks. Why, lone Grimm have been known to stay isolated from the pack for months - and there's the whole pack."
His sudden realization is true: Five Beowolves are already following the first.
Weiss was shocked at how they suddenly appered "What?"
Oobleck Continued to state the obvious "And now they've seen us."
Weiss gasped louder "What?!"
Oobleck comes right up to Weiss' ear to shout "AND NOW THEY'VE SEEN US!"
Guts facepalmed now he understood why Ozpin wanted him to lead this Mission.
'This man is incompetent.' Guts sighed 'great teacher terrible in the field.' He added
"What do we do?" Ruby asked looking to Guts for answers as she to figured out Oobleck would be little help
However Guts looked to Oobleck who just said
"Show me what you're capable of."
A single Beowolf charged forward the rest following and a smiling Yang ran towards one another, ending with the blonde knocking it out in one fiery punch as they passed. Several stop chasing after the party girl to focus on Blake, who stands and waits with hand on her hilt until one of the enemy swipes at her afterimage, the real deal slicing her would-be attacker in half before slashing through another and cutting down on one more.
Behind the Faunus, Weiss runs from several black-coated beasts before jumping in the air and taking one down with Myrtenaster. She dashes towards them with rapier held high and slays four of them in a straight line until she stops. A wave of Beowolves are converging on Ruby, but the scythe wielder shoots multiple bullets at the oncoming force… before firing forward and, after a dramatic mid-air stare-off, cut the single remaining Grimm in two.
Ruby lifted her weapon with ease "Heh. Piece of cake!"
Oobleck was Unsure "Do not celebrate yet, for I am certain this is the first bout of many. Shall we continue?" He said as they headed into the city.
About half a day Oobleck is rooting through a plant as Grimm parts fall around him. He is calm in the faces of tired Huntresses. As Guts hung off to the side of a building his leg swinging freely.
"Excellent work, girls! Unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be any signs of criminal operations in this sector. Oh, well! Moving on!" The doctor said. Before heading off in a random direction.
Yang sighed "Hey, Doc, y'know, I was actually looking forward to seeing a "pro Huntsman" in action. Like, fighting, or at least, helping us fight?"
Oobleck looked over his shoulder "Ah, but I am in action! Scouring the ruins of this once-great city for any signs of irregularity! Not every mission is filled with daring and heroism, girls. Sometimes it's just a heightened form of extermination! Remember, this is a job, and you all signed up for it. I do hope you understand that."
Yang "Well, yeah it's just I didn't expect it to be so…well…"
"Dead?" Guts asked
"Yeah." Yang nodded
"Expect it. Life's too mundane to give you what you seek unless you go out and get it for yourselves." Guts said as he walked away with Oobleck.
"I don't understand what you see in them." Oobleck said as he watched the girls get into another battle with Grimm.
"They are special." Guts said resolute.
"Ms Rose maybe but I'm not sure about the rest." Oobleck said
Guts glared at the Doctor. "Are you questioning my judgement?" He asked
Before Oobleck could comment Guts shouted out
"Alright Girls, enough acting, fight for real!" Guts said
"Ugh but there so Boring!" Blake moaned
"You will never improve unless you push your limits!" Guts said
"Yes sir!" The girls moaned as they stood up and fought them almost bored like.
Oobleck was shocked as he noticed Ruby swung her scythe and cleaved 10 Beowolf's at once without exerting any effort.
In Fact she looked half asleep.
Heck all of them did.
And there faces proved there skill.
In a horde that would have taken both him and Port 15 minutes to clear out they took 2.
Guts looked over too Oobleck.
"Now we can begin." Guts said
Oobleck nodded and they continued forward
Ruby no longer fought but just stood next to Guts
Oobleck started to Question the girls as to why they chose this job.
After each was questioned Guts took a more active role in the Mission
Well Oobleck was shocked as to how he was especially seeing as Guts didn't help but instead gave them combat tips as if teaching a class.
"Yang keep your form straight."
"Yes Sir." Yang said
Guts looked to Weiss.
"Weiss you're using too much Dust, no dust until you kill 20 Grimm by blade alone."
Weiss tched in annoyance. But did as Guts asked
"Blake your too jumpy your enemies will use it to faint an action out of you. keep your head in the game." Guts said
Blake nodded and followed orders.
Guts and Oobleck talk alone as Ruby was holding watch over her team.
"I admit I underestimated your team." Oobleck said
"They can do that." Guts said
"So Guts I want to ask you- hmmm." Oobleck paused trying best to word it.
Guts noticing this glanced at the doctor.
"Just ask it Doctor. I know the question already." Guts said
Oobleck nodded "very well. Why do you fight? You are clearly skilled as the headmaster has shown but your mannerisms don't portray that of the others. Infact I'd go so far as to say that you didn't want be here." Oobleck said
Guts looked straight at the doctor.
"Anything else Doctor?" Guts asked
Oobleck shrugged "I don't want to pry." He said weakly
Guts nodded "your not…but I'm curious, you've gotten most right so far." Guts said
Oobleck nodded "you've faced things that would make most veteran huntsman pale and lived to tell about it. You don't fight the Grimm because they don't give you satisfaction like Ms Rose when she Slapped that Grimm like a fly on the wall. But still I wonder why? Why fight when all you want to do is rest whykeep going?" Oobleck asked
Guts smiled "I was forced to follow this path. Don't confused persistence for determination Doctor. I fight because I know if I don't my loved one will get hurt and I can't stand that. Even if I'm fighting against fate itself I will struggle for my place in this life." Guts said
Oobleck nodded "then I must ask if you will not draw your sword on the Grimm what will you draw it for?" He asked
Suddenly there was a loud thump which nearly sent Oobleck on his butt.
"What was that?" He asked
Guts looked to the end of the road and saw a horde of Grimm on approach he gave a sick smile.
However that wasn't what excited Guts

Guts snapped upright the moment he came to. Sure he hurt but there was shit to take care of.
Guts heard the Sirens as he looked around to see the Civilians stunned 'shit there in the line of fire' he said
"GET OUT OF HERE!" Guts yelled.
He was fortunate that the people started to run right as the others got up
"Hurry up the Grimm will be here soon." Guts said
Team RWBY snapped up right as the ground started to shake and Grimm erupted from the ground like a fountain.
"Team RWBY your job is simple! Defend Vale and her citizens!" Guts said
"Team Rwby NOW MORE THAN EVER WE ARE HUNTSMEN! NO MATTER WHAT WE CANNOT FAIL!" Ruby yelled
"FOR VALE!" Yang, Blake and Weiss yelled
Guts stood there stunned 'that motivation…that ability to give hope…it's the same as him…' Guts though
Suddenly another hole erupted and more Grimm started to pile out into the streets.
Guts drew dragonslayer. "Ok boys and girls…time to play…" Guts said
(Beacon: Ozpin's office)
[A few hours ago.]
Ozpin sat at his deck right as the sun was about to come up when He got an emergency signal to Guts.
Ozpin was awake in an instant sitting straight up and clacking on the keyboard. Within minutes the emergency Grimm attack airline was blazing with Ozpin's trigger.
As he looked over to the city as the sun came up a large explosion was heard in the center of vale. Followed by his door slamming open "Glynda. Get to Vale. Tell James to launch the fleet and keep the Grimm from spreading out." Ozpin said as he looked around.
"Where is Team JNPR?" Ozpin asked as he noticed a bullhead flying right for the city as other huntsman followed suit.
Ozpin didn't even turn around as he knew Glynda was gone. He did however get a good look at her ass as she was sprinting to join a bullhead with A third year team.
(Launch platform)
Cinder, Emerald and Mercury watched as they flew off.
"That noise…you don't think?" Emerald asked
"Looks like." Mercury said
" but that's still days away we aren't ready." Emerald said
"Well what do we do?" Mercury said
Cinder glaired at the city "follow me."
(Vale.)
Ruby jumped away from a Beowolf attack and shot it in the face. killing it before using her momentum to stab another Grimm.
Yang jumped into the Air firing at several creeps before she was slammed back down by Giant Nevermore's.
Blake was dashing about using her Chain scythe to dash in get a quick lethal hit before dashing off again.
And Weiss was using several different kinds of dust from Ice to fire to earth. To cleave as much Grimm out of the way as possible from walls of fireball shooting fire. To pillars of spikes and many more. Every so often dodging attacks and resting to recover her energy. All the girls looked tired
The only one who wasn't tired looking was Guts himself who was dead focused on cleaving apart enemies.
Guts looked around clearly this wasn't going the way it was supposed to. The girls were losing ground too fast.
Suddenly from above Guts head the roar of engines and looked up to see several wings of Bull heads streak by. Guts noticed Pyrrha had jumped down and was freefalling towards the central platform. When she hit the ground she took out a lot of Grimm as Ren was in the Air shooting as the bullhead made another pass. To which Nora jumped out. This time clearing enough room with her ground pound her give the bullhead space to land as Jaune and Ren hopped out.
"Ren Provide cover fire. If need be get back in the bullhead and stick to the skies!" Jaune said
Ren nodded and hopped back in as they took off.
Jaune deployed his shield as lunged into the fray.
As another bullhead flew over this time with team CFVY and Professor Port.
Coco adel started firing into the horde of Grimm
"There's just too many of them." Coco said
" we need to get on the ground so we can plug that hole." Fox said
"That's not possible right now there's just too many of them we'll be overwhelmed in a second." Coco said
"Students. I suggest now we hop off." Port said as he fired his blunderbuss which left a cone of empty Grimm in its wake.
Coco was about to argue but looked to see Velvet had jumped out and was kicking several Grimm with her feet and in hand to hand.
"Damn it." Coco said as she changed her weapon into her handbag and followed her team.
Yatsuhashi drew his sword and cleaved several Grimm down but clearly not as quickly as Guts as yats looked over to see Guts not even getting tired as he went for swing after swing.
"That man's a monster." He said
He barely had time to notice a grimm had come up behind him before coco tried to shoot it with her gun and failed "YATS GET OUT OF THERE!" Coco yelled
Yatsuhashi looked up just as the giant Grimm was falling down on him to crush him.
Only to disintegrate before it hit him with a giant hole in the Grimms chest.
Yatsuhashi looked over to see Guts holding out his arm cannon to the beast while looking impassively.
"Guts!" Ruby called as she appeared next to him
"There's just to many of them The square is overrun and they are fanning out into the side streets." Ruby said
"Tell everyone to stick to the side street. No one is allowed back into the plaza!" Guts said
Ruby looked at Guts horrified "but Guts!" Ruby said
"GO NOW!" Guts snapped
Ruby paused seeing the look in his face.
"TEAM RWBY TAKE THE TWO WEST STREETS! JNPR TAKE THE TWO STREETS COMING FROM THE SOUTH! CVFY TAKE THE EAST ONES ANYONE ELSE THE NORTH! FUNNEL THE GRIMM BACK INTO THE PLAZA NO ONE ELSE GETS IN!" Ruby said before she vanished
Coco huffed "I'm not taking orders from a first year…" she said only to see Team JNPR running down the side streets as well as her team even the teachers. "Huh?" She asked
The only one not going was Guts. Infact he was the only one not moving. He just stood there hunched over limp.
Coco saw a black goop flow over him and start to get into a shape.
Coco froze in horror as she realized why everyone was running. She started to sprint after her team.
Guts lurched up and let out a brutal roar as the Berserker Armor had come into play.
Every huntsman in Vale that was in the city watched in horror as the brutal sound of Guts donning the Armor.
In the Air Glynda watched Guts and "tched" annoyed.
Ruby and her team started to open fire on the Grimm as they tried to break out of the city square.
"Keep firing." Ruby said
However only a small amount of Grimm were moving towards the edge of city as many of them started to find there way back to the center. Towards Guts.
Guts however was cleaving into them like nothing.
"Rip Tear Kill!"
Team CVFY was horrified as Guts swung Dragonslayer around.
"Professor Port…what is that?" Coco asked
"…" Port was speechless.
On the ground CMEN played there part naturally protecting the side streets even saving a little girls life.
Fortunately the Atlas military came by and blasted much of the Grimm away.
Glynda landed behind team RWBY "I need access to plug the hole." She said
"Go we'll cover you." Ruby said
Glynda nodded as she did just that.
Guts swung like a madman firing his arm cannon. Tossing out his throwing knifes. And cleaving down on the Grimm.
He looked up to see Glynda appear and plug the breech with the Last of the Grimm dead
Guts nodded to Glynda as she did the same and waved for a bullhead to fly down and pick her up.
Team Rwby ran up to Guts just in time as the Berserker armor slid away. And Guts pitched forward.
"Woah there big guy we got you." Yang said
"Yang?" Guts asked
"I'm here." She said
"Good." Guts nodded as he looked up drowsy and said
"C-Casca?" Before he fully passed out.
Fortunately Weiss caught him with the last bit of gravity dust to act as a stretcher. "Get him on the Bullhead!" She said
The team did just that as they flew off towards beacon along with the bullheads for JNPR and CFVY, SSSN was on the ground but chose to stay there to look over the damages.
CMEN stood on the roof of the building overlooking the plaza. Emerald and Mercury bantering
"Well that sucks." Mercury said
"It's those damn kids." Emerald said
"Not to mention that Guts kid is strong…"
"This really throws a wrench into the plan."
"Yea a lot of fanuas didn't make it out of there. Not to mention Torchwick wasn't found, wasn't he supposed to take the fall for this too?" Mercury said
Cinder growled
"Cinder?…" Emerald asked
"I'm thinking!" Cinder snapped
"We need a guy to take the fall… but we can't find Torchwick." Mercury said
"Have you tried looking behind you?" Roman asked
The three spun around to see Roman leaning in the shadows smoking a cigar.
"You-!" Emerald snapped
Cinder sauntered forward
"Roman…" Cinder said swaying her hips sexually
Roman raised an eyebrow before Cinder threw a Molten sword next to his face
"YOU'VE GOT A LOT OF NERVE COMING CRAWLING BACK TO US!" Cinder roared
"Easy Cinder I can explain." Roman Said
"Can you?" Cinder asked
"I don't think he can." Mercury said
"Listen here clearly you've not had an encounter with the Blackswordsmen." Roman said
"Ugh this bedtime story again?" Mercury asked rolling his eyes
"He's real." Roman argued
"Yea just as real as my dad was a fuzzy teddy bear." Mercury argued
" quiet Mercury, I want to hear Roman's excuse before I cut his tongue out." Cinder said
The black swordsman threatened Neo she teleported to me and we vanished before I could even ask what was wrong took me an hour to calm her down enough to bring me back." Roman said
Roman and Cinder looked each other in the eye as Cinder raged and threw a molten sword into the roof.
"FUCK YOU ROMAN WE HAD A PLAN!" Cinder said
"You had a plan I didn't! Or does the conversation about including me in your grand plan not ring around your Fucking ear!" Roman said
Emerald and Mercury stood on either side of him ready to strike and capture him if needed.
"It matters not. Your role is done. You will get your time and Frankly I hope you scream first." Cinder said as she slammed her foot into Romans face.
"Call the authorities tell them we have an arrest for Torchwick. And do add the info about him causing the breech Emerald." Cinder said
Emerald nodded
"We still need more fanuas." Mercury said
"True…but I can help with that." Adam Taurus said
Mercury slapped his legs "why does everyone keep bursting into our secret meetings?" He asked
"Adam…you took your time to arrive." Cinder said
"Had to gather my best. They're ready. And good timing too. The Vale branch of the fang has been decimated." Adam said
"It's the Black Swordsman fault." Mercury said
Suddenly Adam shudder "I'm not going anywhere near The Blackswordsmen. There are less painful ways to commit suicide." Adam said
"Oh fuck off he's not real!" Mercury said
"If you haven't seen the footage there is no way I can convince you." Adam said as he turned away. "my men will be ready, but if I hear they went up against the Black Swordsman the alliance is through."
"Is that a threat Taurus?" Cinder asked her eyes glowed
However unlike last time Adam didn't flinch "it's a promise." He said as he left
Cinder growled as she recognized the lines were drawn. Cinder had lost control of the White fang.
"Let's go." Cinder said as they left.
(Beacon: the next day)
Team WBY got up to see there leaders before empty as they checked the time 5:00
Weiss turned on the news. "This just in the criminal responsible for yesterdays Breech Roman Torchwick has been caught." Lisa lavinder said before going into the fact it was an anonymous tip that led to his capture as Weiss turned the News off.
"Well at least we caught him." Blake said
"Yea…come on let's go see Ruby." Yang said as they got up.
Unsurprisingly Ruby was next to Guts bed as he was asleep. Holding his hand. As they entered The nurse stopped them.
"She's been like that since she came in. No wound on him. However he was tossing every which way. Only when She grabbed his hand did it actually stop." The nurse said
"Do you have any estimated time when he's to be waking up?" Yang asked
"Honestly no. We don't know what's wrong with him." The doctor said
"He just overused his semblance it leaves him exhausted." Weiss explained.
"In that case I'd say in another hour or two I only say that because of how much energy he spent thrashing around." The doctor said
"Casca…" Guts said muttering
Ruby sat up looking at Guts
"W-what are you doing here?…" Guts muttered
Before his face crunched up and his mouth seemed to be yelling but it came out only as a whisper
"Don't touch me… stupid insect!" Guts said as he tossed his head around
Rub tried to reach up and rub his face but he srunk away. "No no no!" Guts muttered louder.
"Guys look the brand…" Weiss pointed out and sure enough it had started to bleed
"What the hell is going on?" The doctor asked
"Need to know basis get out of here and get Ozpin!" Yang said before she pushed the doctor out of the room and shut the door.
"Weiss lock the door." Yang said
"I'm technically in command now." Weiss said
"Girls I'm right here not incompasitated. Weiss do as Yang said. Blake stand by the far corner be ready to pounce if he lurches." Ruby said
"What about me Sis?" Yang asked
"Stand by and wait for Ozpin." Ruby said
"Zodd!" Guts said
"Doors locked Ruby." Weiss said
"Good." Ruby nodded
"I'm wondering why the brand is bleeding there isn't any apostle's nearby nor has there been an eclipse in Remnant as far as we know." Blake said
"That will be something we ask once Guts gets up!" Ruby snapped
"GRIFFITHHHH!" Guts roared and shot up throwing Ruby off to the side.
Everything happened in an instant from that as Blake pounced and pinned him back onto the bed. Yang ran to Ruby's side as Weiss opened the door to let Ozpin in.
Guts blinked as his mind came through and recognized Blake on top of him.
"Hey Blake…" Guts said tiredly
"How many fingers do you have…" Blake snapped
Guts looked at her with a weird look "Wha-?" Guts asked as he tired to look around but Blake slapped him to look at him with an almost angry look.
"How many Fingers do you have?" Blake asked
"5!" Guts snapped
"Flex them." Blake said
Guts did and as it clicked into place he…he had two sets of hands.
Guts had a look of horror as he slowly turned to face Ruby to see her holding her side as Yang helped her up.
"Shit." Guts hissed
Blake got off him.
"It's ok Guts we don't blame you." Blake said
"Yea I recognized the Eclipse memory." Yang said
"Don't-don't think I'm running away from you so soon." Ruby coughed.
"…thanks." Guts said as he turned to face the door " headmaster Im sorry to have to drag you down here." Guts said
"Not an issue Guts. I'm glad your ok." He said
"Yea…I'll be in good shape soon." Guts said
"Very well. Now excuse me I need to have a meeting with Vale councilor's." Ozpin said as he left.
The doctor walked in. "Ok let's get you checked out and we can have you and your firends on your way." The doctor said
"And Ruby." Guts said making the doctor pause
"Guts i'm fine." Ruby said
Guts glared at his girlfriend "you were in the clutches of Roman Torchwick for two hours before we were able to rescue you. He could have done untold damage to you Ruby. Please…for me?" Guts asked
Ruby sighed "fine…for you." Ruby said as she slowly laid down on the bed next to Guts.
"Alright well I've given you the green light your free to leave." The doctor said
"I'm going to stay right here while you check over Ms Rose." Guts said
"Very well. Ladies if I can ask you to stand over by the door." The doctor said as hr pulled a curtain around Ruby's bed.
"Now Ms Rose I have to ask you to get undressed for me I have to look over your body for injuries…" the doctor said
The girls saw Ruby move and the doctor just said "oh… ok very well. Shall I tell them?" The doctor asked
"There gonna find out eventually." Ruby said with a shrug.
Ruby put her clothes back on as the doctor came out. "please sit down."
The four did so as the doctor sighed. "It appears that when Ms Rose was under the capture of Roman Torchwick he sexually harassed and abused her." He said
Yang gasped as Weiss covered her mouth.
"Fortunately her hymen is intact thanks to the chastity belt you had fitted to her." The doctor said
"How Is she feeling mentally?" Guts asked
"I'm fine!" Ruby called from behind the curtain. However the other four looked at the doctor wanting to get his opinion.
"Honestly. I'll have to run some tests on her to see if any long term damage has been done but from what I have seen from her nothing has taken place." The doctor said
"How long will the tests take?" Guts asked
"Only a few minutes max." The doctor said
"I'd like to stay while you preform the tests." Guts asked
The doctor nodded and looked at the girls Yang shrugged "she's my sister but I think it would be weird for the both of us. I'm good." Yang said
Blake and Weiss also passed up the offer.
"Very well girls have a good day." The doctor got up and went to sit with Ruby again. Guts sat next to Ruby holding her hand
He whispered in her ear "remember I'm here for you you can answer honestly and I won't judge you." Guts said
Ruby looked up at him sadly but nodded a few tears around her eyes as she grabbed his hand tightly
The doctor sat down and asked a few questions.
(Ozpin's office)
Ozpin sighed as the Councilor ranted at Ozpin for failing to protect the Vytal festival and "passing reins to James.
"Will that be all?" Ozpin asked
"No. There is one more issue we have with you. What in blazes though it was a good idea to Hire the Blackswordsmen as a huntsman?!" One of them asked
"He's a good fighter and saved the city." Ozpin said
"That he did. If the legend is to be believed Vale is only standing because of him. However and don't try to wiggle out of this question, why is he a student at beacon? If he's shown as a student he will clearly overshadow any full team of Huntsman put on stage." The councilor said
"Guts is not fighting in the Vytal festival. I've gotten his word that he will do whatever it takes to make sure the festival goes as smoothly as possible." Ozpin said
"…a reason you want both Vale and Atlas to oversee security…" the counselor said
Ozpin nodded
The councilor's thought for a bit but James Spoke up "councilor's if I may."
"Go ahead General." The councilor's said
"I've trusted Ozpin with my life. And I'll say Guts has the same amount of trust as Ozpin has. If you kick Vale off the security council. I'll have to forcibly promote Teams RWBY, JNPR and Guts to the Atlas military and join me as head of security it is a terrible burden that I cannot handle alone." James said
Ozpin smiled clever move James
The councilor's growled "fine! Vale and Atlas will jointly oversee The festival security together but Ozpin don't get comfortable in your seat. If you think you can overrule democracy with this sort of ploy your sadly mistaken and we will have you out by the festivities end!" The councilors snapped as they hung up
Ozpin sighed
"Thank you James." He said
"Your welcome Oz. Don't worry the council will see reason eventually." James said
"I hope so…" Oz said as James hung up
James stood over his flagship seeing the tower of beacon he walked down the hall and opened Roman Torchwick's cell.
"Listen listen I've already told you what I know I don't want to be caught in between the blackswordsmen and Vale." Roman said
"Yes and I appreciate what you've told us. However there are still things missing." Ironwood said
"Look I'll tell you everything I know just promise me I won't have to face the Blackswordsmen." Roman said
"We will put you in protective custody but only if you give us the same promise you gave him." James said
"Done." Roman said without hesitation.
"Very well when is the plan to strike against Vale?" Ironwood said
"I honestly have no idea all I do know is at the peak point of chaos I'm supposed to put a virus into your command bridge to turn all the Robots you own against the huntsman." Roman said
"Shit." Ironwood said
"And you have no idea when?" Ironwood said
"No only the fact that by that time everything else would be prepared." Roman said
"Did the person who told you to do this say why?" Ironwood asked
"Simply to cause chaos. Blame Atlas. Maybe to kick you off your high horse." Roman said
Ironwood drew his gun and shot Roman in the leg
"FUCK!" Gah damn it take a joke!" Roman hissed
"That was a joke." Ironwood said as he pointed the gun right to Roman's face "the next one isn't so answer my question concisely…"
"If your plan were to fail would Vale still fall?" Ironwood said
Roman made a sickingly smile
"Well we're just going to have to find out shall we?" He said as he started to laugh
The laugh echoed the halls as it got louder and more crazy
Only to be suddenly cut off by a gunshot.
Back at beacon Guts and Ruby Walked outside and we're heading down the main road to the Launch pad. Yang, Weiss and Blake watched them go.
Guts slung both there bags over his shoulder. Or mostly Ruby's because he doesn't have a lot to carry.
"Have a good time in patch Ruby." Yang said
"Yea don't forget to write. Oh I'll miss you so much yes I will yes I will." Weiss said as she played with Zwie.
"It's a good vacation to get your mind off the event that happened. Just a week with special time at home." Guts said
"That and my dad wants to meet my boyfriend," Ruby said
" just remember separate beds you too." Yang teased.
Guts rolled his eyes as Ruby blushed like a tomato
"Yang!" Ruby screeched causing Yang to laugh.
"Go on Rubes have fun!" Yang said as they watch the two fly away.
In the bullhead Ruby looked carefully at Guts who held no reaction.
"Hey Guts?" Ruby asked
"Yes?" Guts asked
"If I were to actually decide to sleep in your room one night would you let me?" Ruby asked
"Seeing as your still in the chastity belt I don't mind even then your always welcome in my bed." Guts said
"Good answer." Ruby said as she gave Guts a lap dance and kissed him.
