After a defeated battle with the godhand instead of feasting on his corpse the apostle were too terrified of guts and send him to a new universe where he believes he is making a difference but in reality he isn't. Ruby and Guts looked at each other as Ruby stood up and walked over to Guts

"I'm ok." She said

Guts didn't say a thing just looking at the Smoke pile the Grimm-Apostle flew into

"Guts it was a stupid mistake of me let me-." Ruby said

"No." Guts said firmly making Ruby pause.

Guts finally looked away.

"I made a mistake last time of thinking someone could handle themselves against a threat like this. And they turned into a vegetable for 5 years." Guts said finally looking at Ruby

Ruby gasped as she realized what Guts was trying to say.

He wasn't going to fight his battle for her.

No, they will fight this. Together.

Ruby nodded and opened Crescent Rose

"When this is over I'm making a bandolier. And a sudden quick release of bombs I can use in emergencies I was nearly taken if I hadn't slipped my arm out." Ruby said

Guts nodded but said nothing

"Excellent…the branded one has arrived." The Grimm-Apostle said as he stepped out.

"Now the Festival of Blood can truly begin!" The Grimm-Apostle said leaving the Smoke unfazed

"Festival of blood?" Ruby asked Guts who was just as confused

"Oh it's quite simple really. I make you bleed, you scream, you die." The Grimm-Apostle said

"If you think for a second I'm going to let that happen then you're wrong." Guts said, itching to fire his arm cannon again.

"Oh of course not. After all you are the ones who dance." The Grimm-Apostle said as he lunged

"DOWN!" Guts screamed as both Ruby and Guts ducked as the Grimm-Apostle flew over there heads

Both were fast enough to get at least one shot on the Grimm-Apostle's belly.

However only one had really enough kickback to really do some damage.

Ruby looked over to Guts arm jealous

"I want one." She said

"You made this one." Guts shrugged. As if telling her to do it again.

The Grimm-Apostle hobbled up clutching his stomach

"I will not be toyed with!" The Grimm-Apostle roared

Ruby rolled her eyes

"May I?" She asked

Guts grinned "have fun go all out to." Guts said

Ruby smiled and looked at the Cheetah Grimm-Apostle

"You wanted to know how fast I could go?" She asked

As she vanished leaving an after image

Before reappeared besides Guts. And giving him a kiss on the lips

"That fast." Ruby said

The Grimm-Apostle was stunned she didn't even do anything how could she. He took a step forward and gasped

Single

Atom

In his body

Screamed!

He started vomiting fountains of blood in the form of black ooze

He wobbled. Waved…bobbed. And finally collapsed. He looked at her in defiance

"You, will, not, win, girl." The Grimm-Apostle said

Ruby smiled

"Come and stop me then." She taunted

Guts smiled as he and Ruby kissed

Suddenly there was a roar as the Grimm-Apostle stood up and charged at Ruby

"Ack!" Ruby was knocked on the ground with the Grimm-Apostle on top of her

Guts blasted him in the side with the Arm cannon as Ruby delivered a brutal combo with her scythe.

But it wasn't enough to put the fucker down he always regenerated.

Ruby grit her teeth; this was becoming annoying.

Ruby blitzed forward not hearing Guts cries to Stop

The Grimm-Apostle tried to retaliate by caving her skull in

Instead she exploded into petals

The Grimm-Apostle looked around trying to find her as he petals fell to the ground

Except she didn't reappear

In anger he kicked the petals as another part of the pile around him started to move.

First starting a few at a time

5, 10, 15 petals in a pile moved then more and faster and faster then they stopped hitting the ground as they climbed higher into the sky.

As a massive Petal storm tornado formed around the Grimm-Apostle

He tried to roar but he found he couldn't speak.

The air was being sucked out of his lungs.

The Grimm-Apostle clung to his neck trying to breath.

Ruby rose was trying to suffocate the Grimm-Apostle to death.

Even Guts grimaced at the brutality

But it was effective.

The Grimm-Apostle was helpless as he tried to reach out past the vortex.

It was like sticking your hand into a moving fan.

Still that didn't stop the Grimm-Apostle as he pulled his hand away then in a split second punched his hand out sending Ruby flying breaking the Tornado vortex.

The Grimm-Apostle walked out unscathed.

"That was a dirty trick." The Grimm-Apostle hissed

"No this is a fight." Ruby said as she blurred towards the Grimm-Apostle again.

He was Just lucky to duck under the attack

However he didn't see the follow up by Ruby from behind.

Ruby slammed into him and stoped herself with Crescent Rose as the Grimm-Apostle groaned

"I will not be toyed with from a child!" The Grimm-Grimm-Apostle roared

"Well you toyed with me. I think I deserve to have some back." Ruby said

The Grimm-Apostle growled but didn't have a chance to respond as a deep cut was hit across his chest by Crescent Rose

The Grimm-Apostle stumbled

Guts narrowed his eyes

'Grimm Grimm-Apostle's are weaker than normal Grimm-Apostle's with the Grimm sludge makes them lose half their strength and power but to counter this they are twice as robust and near indestructible.' Guts though

The cheetah Grimm-Apostle went flying as Ruby kept following up with more attacks

However Guts realized Ruby had a fatal flaw.

She could not kill him

He just kept regenerating.

And it was starting to piss Ruby off.

Her strikes were getting heavier. Less controlled, more violent.

Still Ruby kept fighting.

Guts could tell this was cathartic for her so he left her.

However as Ruby got slower the Grimm-Apostle tried to capitalize on the moment by knocking her away.

However when the Grimm-Apostle went to punish her that was when Guts struck

The Grimm-Apostle looked back just in time to dodge the Dragonslayer as Guts went on the attack getting the monster away from Ruby.

Ruby struggled to get up as she watched Guts fight against the Grimm-Apostle did she look at her scroll to find out why she was tired.

She gasped

Her aura was at 1%

And while she definitely knew she was low she didn't know she was that low.

Ruby looked around for something to help her

Unfortunately the Grimm-Apostle knew she was vulnerable and posed an attack on Ruby.

As Grimm started to pour out of the woods towards them

Guts looked back and noticed the Grimm went right past him

"Ruby!?" He called

Ruby looked up and jumped as a Grimm lunged

Guts knew she was in trouble.

Guts turned back to the Grimm-Apostle to deal a blow to him to Stun him

Only to find that he was Gone.

Guts looked around and found Ruby still fighting the Beowolf's

Guts got out an aura booster ready for Ruby.

Ruby finished off the last Grimm and stumbled nearly falling down panting

Guts walked over to her

"Here." He said as he handed her an Aura Booster

Ruby took it gratefully as her Aura jumped up to 50% it wasn't perfect but it was good enough.

Ruby stood up

"We should keep looking I don't like him on the island anymore than he has to be." Ruby said

"Are you sure?" Guts asked knowing Ruby was pushing herself

"He nearly raped me. Image what he could do if he found civilians?" Ruby said

Suddenly there was a scream in the distance.

A violent one.

"No!" Ruby gasped

"Let's go?!" Guts said as they ran to the scream.

Unfortunately it was just as they feared

In the middle of the road was a girl about 18 lying naked clearly dead and used. As semen and blood mixed on the ground around her.

"Oh no!" Ruby gasped

"We don't have time come on." Guts said as he ran past Ruby nodded and followed

They ended up outside the woods and found the tracks leading them towards the heavily populated area of downtown patch.

Where both Signal academy as well as several large bodies of people were.

Ruby and Guts understood what was at stake and didn't hesitate and charged off.

They had to stop the Grimm-Apostle before it's too late.

They rushed into the city center and looked around it was more of a Suburban city rather than a Skyscraper forest like Vale still that didn't mean it wasn't dangerous

"We should split up if we spot it we should focus on getting it away from civilians." Ruby said

Guts nodded as they split up going down the street in different directions.

The Grimm-Apostle watched at a distance as they ran off in different directions while it grinned now that they were alone again, he'd finally get to have his fun.

Ruby looked around standing on the end of an intersection in the middle of the street.

Ruby grit her teeth as she ran down the road. She hoped to Brothers she wasn't too late.

She turned the corner and saw the bright headlights of an 18 wheeler through her hood

She was standing in the middle of the road

Ruby jumped back out of the way as the Truck drove past her honking angrily.

Ruby ingnored it she had a task to focus on.

She rushed down the street she hoped it didn't get very far into downtown.

She turned the corner and found the streets packed with late night civilians.

'Fuck!' Ruby hissed as she scanned and found a ladder leading to the top of the Courthouse.

It wasn't the tallest and didn't give the best view but she started to climb.

Unfortunately for Ruby while she was a fast Climber an old women noticed her climbing and reported Ruby for vandalism.

Ruby climbed up to the top of the Court house and the topmost steeple of the Courthouse where the bell was.

Ruby looked around scanning looking desperately to find the Grimm-Apostle quickly.

No luck.

Ruby checked her scroll

"Guts come in." Ruby said

{"What is it Ruby? you see him? where are you?"} Guts asked

"No unfortunately. But I'm at the top of the courthouse trying to get a birds eye view." Ruby said as she looked down to see several police cars drive down the road and turn before going off Down another the cars lights flashing.

"Heads up two police cars heading down 8th street. Might be connected. I suggest you check it out." Ruby said

{which one is 8th street?} Guts asked not knowing the Layout of Patch's biggest city.

"Um." Ruby paused as she opens up her map and found Guts on her local ping.

"The alleyway to your left take that!" Ruby said

{Rodger} Guts said as she Followed Guts movements on the map.

"Go up that street and take your Second Left." Ruby said

She watched as Guts did so and said suddenly {a cop just rushed past me}

Ruby spoke instantly "hitch a ride on the second one follow them until they stop." Ruby said

Guts stood on the side of the street waiting ready.

He looked down and found the flashing Blue and Red lights.

Guts stepped back and started to count in his head as the lights got closer and closer.

In the Cop car two Tired, drained and half away Cops Drove frantically down the road trying to stop a crime in progress.

The officers were so tired they should be asleep. It was there day off after all.

Unfortunately tonight happens to be a crime night. As several Criminal's have been spotted.

With signal Academy and the police station it normally was enough to protect this small community, unfortunately all the Legal aged Kids who could be there to assist on a night like tonight were all at Beacon or another Huntsman school for the year.

So for 2 more months all officers were pulling double duty until the 3rd year Kids are old enough to finally be able to assist police.

Normally it wasn't this bad. Usually when the kids go off to be huntsman the criminals know that if police are called they take no prisoners.

It's basically a 5 month Ceasefire on Patch.

Except someone didn't get the memo.

The officers were Cranky, tired and didn't get coffee before they had to get in the car.

There was a loud thump on the roof of the car which made the officer not driving look up

"What the hell?" He asked

"Check what that was." The driver said

The other officer stuck his head out the window.

And saw Guts standing on the Roof of the car.

"Just hitching a ride Officer, we're on the same side I'm just trying to protect this city." Guts said

The officer paled and slid back into his seat. Like he saw a ghost.

"Who was it?" The driver asked

The other officer turned to his firend now fully awake.

"The Blackswordsman."

The driver's eyebrow's shot up into his hairline before he grinned

"Hang on back there!" The driver shouted

There was a double knock on the roof of the car as the officer floored it.

The car made a hard turn but Guts held on.

Finally they came to a stop at the crime scene. Which was in an alley.

There was a loud thump on the top of the Car as Guts jumped off the Roof and landed blocking the view of the Crime from the officers.

He strode forward as the officers looked to each other and drew there pistols chambered a round and Stepped out.

They walked over to Guts who stood there. As they stood on either side of him. Able to see it now.

"Dear god!" The Driver gasped

The body was twisted looking more like a pretzel than a body.

It was a blond woman wearing a skimpy black lace outfit. Obviously a prostitute. Although she didn't deserve what happened to her.

Her back was definitely snapped

Obviously Semen leaked from the mouth.

Black and blue bruses covered her Arms and legs as said legs were spread as a blood leaked from her waist which was turned away from them. Although with how bloated her belly was there was no doubt in what happened and who did this.

The Grimm-Apostle had claimed another Victim.

Guts growled and turned away and talked into his scroll

"We got another one." He said

{"shit"} Ruby cursed on the other end.

The officers looked to each other

"Do…you know what did this?" The officer asked Guts, turned around and nodded.

"As of right now we have a mass murderer on the loose, close down all the Streets and whatever you do don't accept random strangers at the door." Guts said

The officers looked at each other before they bolted to the Cop car to call it in.

On the top of the Bell tower Ruby scanned the Roads

She heard a few moments later the police call out that curfew was in effect and not to accept strangers at the door.

Ruby watched as within 30 minutes the entire Streets were clear.

Ruby sighed at least no one is in danger anymore.

Suddenly there was a blight light that shined on her

"GET DOWN FROM THERE THIS INSTANT!" An officer with a Megaphone called out.

Ruby growled damn it she didn't have time for this.

"I WILL NOT ASK AGAIN GET DOWN OR WE WILL GET YOU DOWN!" The officer said

Ruby looked around one last time hoping to find evidence of the Grimm-Apostle's location.

Ruby scanned across the street before looking back again

There in the End of the side street

The Grimm-Apostle was hanging around the corner of a building in human form looking at Ruby.

Ruby looked at the Grimm-Apostle.

With the eye contact and the challenge the Grimm-Apostle ran off down the street.

Ruby growled as she stood up to give chase.

Only to have to rebalance herself as one of the officers Shot at her.

"Get down!" The officer said.

"Fine! But I just wanted you to know I'm trying to help!" Ruby snapped as she vanished and ran after the Grimm-Apostle

"Wait!" The officer called as Ruby ran to the side street and vanished

The officers hopped in the car and drove after her.

"I've got eyes on him giving chase." Ruby said in her scroll.

Guts looked at his scroll trying to figure out where Ruby was when the Cop radio went off

{"Eyes on Suspect ran down 14th Ave requesting backup over!"} the police radio said

The three looked to each other as the two hopped in Guts on top. As they drove offf.

"I need a description of the target. We've got another huntsman in the area, I don't want them misidentified." Guts said as he poked his head into the passenger side window

The officer nodded and Grabbed the Radio.

"Patrol car 4 this is patrol car 7 can you give identification of target, over?" The officer said

{"we are unsure Shady individual had a hood over there head the entire time. Red hood, Black blouse."} the officer on the other end said

The officer with the radio looked to Guts who said "that's the huntsman."

The officer was was quick to react screaming into the radio

"BREAK OFF PURSUIT! REPEAT BREAK OFF PURSUIT!"

{what why?!} the officer at the other end asked

"That is a huntsman your chasing after they are trying to help!" The cop yelled

{Fuck! They went into that alleyway, Quick go around!} the two cops in the car heard on the other end of the radio

The two cops with Guts looked to Guts who just climbed back on top of the Car.

"Open the back window!" Guts said

The window dropped down as Guts jumped in and pulled out his scroll

"Ruby do you hear me?" Guts asked

{"yeah I'm still on his tail he's trying to shake me. I don't know where the cops are."} Ruby said

"Don't worry about them love just stay on his tail I'm on the road and I'll Guide a group of Cops to you." Guts said

{"ok. I'll try to slow him down."} Ruby said as he line went dead.

Guts looked at the map and saw Ruby was two streets over.

"Take this left!" Guts shouted

The driver reacted instantly pulling a hard turn making the car Skid as they took the road down.

Just as they got to the end of it. They saw the Grimm-Apostle and Ruby chasing after him.

"That's them go go go." Guts said

The car hit the road and floored it after Ruby.

Ruby tried get closer to the Grimm-Apostle but everytime she got close he'd speed up or angle in such a way to gain more distance.

Ruby snarled as she reached behind her and drew Crescent Rose and Fired at the Grimm-Apostle.

She hit him in the leg making him Yelp as he had yo Slow down.

It was enough for to Take a swing at him.

However the Grimm-Apostle ducked under Her swing and rushed down the alley to the right.

Ruby grit her teeth as she slid to a stop pivoted on her hand and rushed after him

Unfortunately the Alleyway was too small to follow them.

Guts checked his scroll

"Keep going down the road they intersect down a ways we can merge on them there." Guts said

The cops drove after them again.

"Damn it's like Chasing illegal racers again." The officer sighed

"Whatever happens. We can't get people involved in this fight." Guts said

"Why is that. I mean I notice it's a Grimm but it's a single Grimm." The driver said

"That Grimm if left unchecked can Desolate Patch within the night." Guts said

The officers focused on the road "Jerry call in command, tell them we're going to need larger ordinances." The driver said

"Understood Tom." The other officer said

"HQ this is Patrol car 7 we need larger ordnance delivered to us pronto copy?" He said

After a few minutes the line spoke back

{"request confirmed what are you requesting you two shotguns or Snipers"} command asked as a women spoke.

Guts leaned in

"Grenade launchers." He said

{"what the?! Who the heck is this?!"} command screamed

"Extra help." The officer said

{"Extra help my ass, Patrol car 7!? Who the fuck asks for Grenade launchers in a heavily populated area?!"}

"The fact that a mass murder is running around and out speeding Cars and stuff." Guts said

{"yes but who the fuck are you?"} command asked

"THE BLACKSWORDSMAN!" both officers yelled into the radio tired of this conversation.

There was dead silence on the other end before screaming off {"ALL UNITS DROP EVERYTHING RETURN TO BASE FOR EXTRA GEAR THEN FORM UP ON PATROL CAR 7!"}

Then the line went dead.

Guts and the officers shrugged as they kept chasing after Ruby.

On the Road Ruby was getting angry the Damn Grimm-Apostle was bobbing and weaving too fast for her to Aim she couldn't even swing Crescent Rose fast enough to attack.

'Fuck I'd love a dagger right about now.' Ruby cursed at her consistent failure of forethought.

The Grimm-Apostle looked over and Grinned and jumped through a window. Causing Ruby to stop

"FUCK!" Ruby followed and saw the entire living room she jumped into a mess.

A family of three huddled together.

Ruby looked at them

"I'm not here to hurt you tell me where the thing went and I'll get out of here." Ruby said

Suddenly there was the sound of glass breaking as Ruby moved into the hall.

"Stay here. I'll try to get it out of the house once it's gone lock the house." Ruby said

The man of the house nodded worried as he hugged his Wife and Son.

Ruby walked in the hall. She noticed several paintings a family of game Hunters as the kid from before holding a rifle and a Dead rabbit

Another was of the father holding s dead deer with the same rifle.

That painting had two Knifes on either side fraiming them as outdoorsmen.

Ruby grabbed one knife and kept walking down the hall.

Above her the Grimm-Apostle in its beast form clung times the ceiling and dropped down on top of her trying to attack.

Ruby on instinct spun around in time as she was knocked on her back but was quick enough to kick the Grimm-Apostle over her head into the room infront of her as she flipped on her stomach to keep eyes on he beast she landed in a crouch. the beast retaliated with a lunge which Ruby ducked under as the beast scampered into the room from before.

The room which the family was still in

"LOOK OUT!?" Ruby called as a loud scream was heard from said room.

Ruby appered in the door and found all three members were dead.

And the Grimm-Apostle was having his way with the wife.

Ruby reacted firing several shots at the beast

She hit him several time taking a chunk out of the Grimm-Apostle's ear and several in its back.

The Grimm-Apostle roared and dashed out the open window that it lept in from.

Ruby kicked the door open and gave chase.

After she left police Arrived trying to help catch the beast.

Unfortunately for her the family was dead and couldn't tell there story.

And 3 shells from Ruby's scythe was placed at the crime scene. As 1 gunshot wounds killed each victim.

Despite the evedirnce of the face massive claw marks were on each victim as well but that was ignored in favor of clearer evidence and better story.

The police without any other information had the only pieces of evidence that they knew.

The huntsman was rouge and killed the family and covered it up as a monster attack.

A team stayed behind to document the evidence as the rest drove off to stop the rouge Huntsman.

Ruby grit her teeth she was lucky that she was able to grab a Dagger from a wall hanger in the house she just left she hated to do it but it was nessessary. She needed a quick attack weapon that could keep up with her speed and she could attack with while running.

Ruby caught up with the beast this time angry for the death of the family she couldn't save.

She held the Hunting Knife in an ice pick Grip and jutted out her hand trying to stab the cheetah in the shoulder somewhere

She missed

The Grimm-Apostle roared seeing as she was being attacked and tackled Ruby slamming her into a building

The building Cracked as she hit it at full force

Before the Grimm-Apostle appered before her and slammed her into it a second time.

Ruby watched as the Claws slashed down on her quickly as she was getting mauled by the Grimm-Apostle.

Ruby grit her teeth through the pain as she kicked the Grimm-Apostle in the crotch which made him stumble Ruby took this chance to tackle the Grimm-Apostle and began to wrestle with him in the street.

Ruby and the monster stayed in the street until a cop car arrived

Both the Grimm-Apostle and Ruby looked up as the police hopped out of the car and started to open fire

Ruby was fortunate to not get hit.

But the Grimm-Apostle Reared up and threw Ruby off before taking off down the road.

Ruby was about to go after him

When the Cop car honked at her

Ruby nodded and jumped up as the car drove after the Grimm-Apostle

In the back of the car Guts poked his head out the window

"How are you doing?" He asked

"Bad. He got another one, a family of 3 this time." Ruby said

Guts nodded "this is why they are bad news." Guts said

"I get so close each time but I just can't kill him." Ruby hissed

"We just have to contain him for another few hours once the suns up his powers will decrease and he will be easier to deal with." Guts said

As the car gave chase on the other side of the road a second Cop car arrived

The one who was originally chasing Ruby.

They notice the Beast but notice Ruby first as one officer draws there gun and Points out the window

The Grimm-Apostle seeing this took a harsh turn down another alley as the cop fired

"Gah!" Ruby screamed as she felt the bullet graze her shoulder

The cars were moving too fast to stop as they had a head on collision

Ruby jumped off the top of the car landing in a roll due to her injury before she fought past the pain and Ran after the Grimm-Apostle.

"Hey wait!" One of the officers said

Unfortunately they were confronted by the two who were accompanied by Guts.

"What the hell are you doing?! They are on our side?!" The Tom said

"That's not True. 3 casings were found with a party of 3 dead she killed them im sorry but that huntsman is rouge." The other driver said

"Bullshit!" Guts said

The four cops looked over to Guts

"Halt who are you?!" The officer who shot at Ruby said

Guts just strode over and grabbed the Gun in the officers hands and crushed it like it was paper making parts scatter everywhere.

"I know for a fact she'd never do what you said. There is obviously stuff your missing." Guts said

"Well there's not a manhunt for them weither you like it or not. She is now a wanted criminal." The other driver said smugly.

Guts glared at the two of them as did the other officers.

"Both cars are totaled I'm sorry theres nothing we can do." Jerry said shrugging

Guts nodded "stay here I'm going to hunt on foot. Get the word out that the person in red is not the enemy and if they shoot her or hurt her they will deal with me." Guts said

Jerry and Tom nodded as Guts started to head off

Unfortunately one of the other Cops tried to stop him

"I'm sorry your coming with us your connected to the rouge huntsman so we're going to have to bring you in for questions-."

The cop didn't get any further as Guts knocked him out with one punch and not breaking Stride.

The driver who was still in the car flinched as his partner hit the car window before the pavement.

Guts looked back and apologized

"Sorry about that." He said

Jerry and Tom shrugged "eh it's fine, go we got this."

Guts nodded and ran off.

Tom and Jerry looked at the other cop

"So what do we do?" Jerry asked

"Not much we can do. We know those two hate Huntsmen. We can only hope that the evidence finds that girl in red Innocent." Tom said

Jerry sighed

Guts ran down the road trying to find Ruby unfortunately he was too slow on foot and couldn't keep up with Ruby.

She was on her own.

Guts looked around thinking of what he could do to clear Ruby's name in the meantime.

Ruby kept up running after the Grimm-Apostle hellbent on making sure that no one else died. As she matched speed with the Grimm-Grimm-Apostle and jabbed with the knife.

The Grimm-Apostle lept away still moving forcing Ruby to get in closer for another attack.

This time the Grimm-Grimm-Apostle struck first making Ruby jump away. Before retaliating.

The two Zigzadded across the street like balls bouncing off the walls.

As Ruby got close again trying to bodyslam the Grimm-Appstle before he had to veer off due to an upcoming T section Ruby tripped as the Grimm sped away.

Ruby grit her teeth as she drew her scythe and fired a gravity round towards the Grimm-Apostle as the Dust dragged her after him to catch up to him again.

Guts entered the Crime scene and saw the devestation that the Grimm Grimm-Apostle unleashed

The cops tried to kick Guts out but Jerry and Tom told them who he was and the Arguments died away.

Good thing too as Guts was able to show major inconsistencies with the previous Judgement about the crime.

Even if it was clear a speedster did it.

Guts however noticed a Camera and they watched the footage.

Which showed clear as day the Grimm Grimm-Apostle slaughtering the family before going into rape the mother before Ruby showed up as she fired at the beast making it flee.

The cops were stunned about how big of a threat the beast was.

They really wished they brought something heavier than shotguns.

Fortunately the logical truck arrived for those who couldn't reach the station

Several officers went to command to inform them of the new information.

The rest got back into another vehicle and chaised after Ruby and the Grimm.

As her eyes closed her hearing started to blur and finally Angel was Dead.

Ruby didn't care about damage control now she was in a blind rage.

She discarded the dagger and opened Crescent Rose she didn't care if it made her unbalanced while she Ran she just wanted the creature dead.

She found the Grimm Grimm-Apostle running down the street looking around predatory looking for any houses he could jump into.

He didn't register the Scythe blade until the last moment

He jumped away as he looked to see Ruby right next up her

"I was wondering what happened to you I had hoped you given up." The Grimm Grimm-Apostle said

"Enough talk beast." Ruby said coldly

The Grimm-Apostle narrowed his eyes clearly, this girl wasn't playing around.

He thought this just as Ruby swung again.

The Grimm-Apostle jumped out of the way and lunged clearly he'd have to deal with her first.

He tackled her into an alleyway where Ruby couldn't swing her scythe

She was helpless

Or so the beast thought as he narrows the distance

Ruby realizing she was in trouble shut her eyes

And in that instance as an act of desperation but also triggered by the loss of Angel Ruby activated her silver eyes

"ARGH WHAT IS THIS!?" The Grimm-Grimm-Apostle screamed as he was blinded by the light.

When the light faded he was on his knees panting weak.

Ruby was stunned as she looked at her hands they were blurry Damn she was tired…

"Argh you bitch!"

Ruby looked up shocked

The Grimm Grimm-Apostle wasn't dead yet.

But it looked close.

It seemed all the Grimm sludge had been destroyed when she used her Eyes but the physical Grimm-Apostle remained. As he shifted away from his Cheetah form and back into human as he stumbled forward and fell on his back.

The real Grimm-Apostle was still here.

Which ment if he got his breath back he would have no one to oppose him but Guts

She had to end this now

Her body screamed to let her rest but she strode forward anyways her face covered by her hood and the silver glint of her eyes could be seen from the shadow's

The Grimm-Apostle looked up genuine Fear etched on his face he heard of a face like that before

On the blackswordsman.

He realized why Ruby was so confident to find him.

Ruby stood over the Grimm-Apostle and her scythe raised behind her in a downward swing

"ARGHHHH!" Ruby roared as she brought Crescent Rose down.

There was a loud thunderclap as he Grimm-Apostle grabbed both sides of the blade trying to stop the monument.

The tip of the blade was just touching his skin

Right at his heart.

Ruby growled as she felt her muscles start to fail. And the shaking proved that the Grimm-Apostle was gaining his strength back.

She needed to end this now.

Ruby didn't even register the Cops shining lights on the alleyway

She could barely see.

With one last terrible roar she plunged her Scythe down on the Grimm-Apostle who roared in pain before he died.

His body laying there before withering away into a more crippled Human form.

Ruby panted knowing the monster was finally dead.

Ruby stumbled looking up to the blinding Cops lights.

Ruby could barely understand anything as she just panted

Knowing that killing wasn't an option she was too hurt but also combat ineffective she Grabbed her scythe and ran down the Alley

With the Cops shooting at she hopped up the side of the building and over the brick wall at the end of the alley to safety.

Ruby was exhausted as she dropped from the wall.

She had hoped to land on her feet but her legs gave out.

Ruby looked around running off of adrenaline now.

She needed to get someplace safe.

Her mind reconized the fact that Clearly the police were after her she had to hide.

Unfortunately she also knew that Patch didn't have much a criminal base. At least those who weren't in police pockets or weren't cops themselves.

She had no where to go.

Ruby tried to get up but stumbled

Behind her she heard the cops trying to climb over the wall as others were driving around.

It should be safe enough up here for her to rest and recuperate from her battle. Ruby laid down on the roof as darkness overtook her.

At the End of the Alley way the Cops just stood there shocked

They just saw a huntress, someone who The Blackswordsmen pledged was on there side just kill somebody in cold blood… true it's a trusted word but against hard evidence like that.

They decided to head back to the station and start a manhunt for the rouge Huntsman.

As a medical team arrived to take away the dead body for examination.

Guts was at the police station as the officer's arrived

"Lockdown the city!" One said to the women behind the desk.

"Why?" She looked up confused.

"Because one of the Huntsman went rogue and killed someone." The officer said

That Got Guts attention as he stood up

"Let me see the body?" He asked

However the officer turned around

"No! I've already had enough Huntsmen interfere with Police business. The Grimm is possibly still at Large. We will hunt your Insane partner." He said

"My partner is not insane!" Guts roared As he tried to lunge at the officer but Jerry and Tom held him back.

"If you won't corporate then we will have to hold you as well. Your already on thin ice being associated with your partner." The officer said

Guts growled and Ripped his Arms free and stormed off

"Fine I'll search for that Grimm just keep everyone inside." Guts said as he left.

Jerry and Tom looked at each other and tried to go after Guts but the police Cheif came in

"You two come here, we need you." He said

The two officers sat by as Guts walked out of the station.

As he left the station he tried to call Ruby which went unanswered, it worried him but not terriblely so as he made his way to the hospital where the body was taken.

"Hello sir, can I help you?" The young woman who was the receptionist asked

"Hi yeah I'm here to inspect a body that came in around last night?" Guts said

"Sir I'm sorry but all those who were killed last night were taken to the morgue I can't allow you to just."

"Huntsman business." Guts said

The young women looked startled but stood up

"O-ok if you will follow me please." She said as she lead Guts down the hall.

They finally arrived at the morgue and found the examiner looking at one of the bodies

"Who is this?!" He asked looking up from his work

"This is a huntsman here to look at the bodies." The receptionist said

"A huntsman huh what's that got to do with anything about this?" The examiner asked

"I'm just here to account for all the bodies that all carry on with your work." Guts said

The examiner nodded and pointed to a rack

"All the recent Dropins are in there." He said

Guts walked over to the Rack as he heard the examiner said in awe "it appears they were mauled to death."

Guts ignored the examiner as he opened the first rack.

It was one a girl of 15 years old.

"That was the second to last body of the night." The examiner said

'So this was what caused Ruby to go into a blind rage.' Guts thought while he had no solid proof the fact that Ruby didn't comply with the officers as well as apparently how exhausted she was on the scroll it lines up.

Guts closed the rack and opened another

It was a man about 28.

"That is one of 3 that came in at the same time. The office's had an idea that it was a rouge huntsman. But I'll tell you no Huntsman weapon could do this." The examiner said

"Where is the last one?" Guts asked

"Right next to you." The examiner said pointing to the rack on the left.

Guts closed the Rack and opened the last one.

There he was. The Grimm-Apostle in all his dead glory.

The corpse was shriveled up and Malurioursed. But it was definitely the Grimm-Apostle.

Guts knowing the Job was done could piece together the rest of what happened.

Guts shut the rack and headed towards the door.

The examiner looked up "don't you wanna check out the rest of the bodies?" He asked

"No I'm good, I trust your work doctor." Guts said as he left.

Guts exited the hospital and sighed

He looked to see that the sun was coming up he looked at the Scroll to check the time.

His eyes shot up in shock as he sent a quick text to Ruby.

He shut his scroll and headed back now he had another issue

How to clear Ruby's name without this becoming an international incident.

Guts headed out he had to find a way to get in contact with Ozpin and fast.

Guts made his way to the Signal academy, one of the minor CCTV towers which helped broadcast local news.

Guts ran to the CCTV tower and looked at the recent Broadcasts.

And the urgent Reports of what happened at last night events was playing.

At the Rose-Xiao Long cabin TaiYang sat down with some breakfast he got for himself as he sat down infrot of the TV to watch the news.

"Breaking news! Local Huntsman go crazy and five people are dead the police don't have a name but a suspect and identifiers.

"About the age of 15 wears a Red hood and Uses a scythe."

"That's all they have so far. If you have anything about the suspect please contact the Police immediately."

Tai sat shocked, his Breakfast long forgotten as the milk seeped into the carpet.

Tai ran upstairs in a flash urgently to Grab his scroll and call someone

Oh gods he hoped he was wrong.

Guts Reached the CCTV tower and looked at a broadcast signal of Ruby's news report.

He got ready to shut the Signal down before it reached the public ears of Vale.

Then the segment came up as Lisa lavender spoke with a Grim voice.

Breaking news a massasscar has taken place on the nearby island of patch. Police are hunting the suspect but still remains at Large. And can be identified with a large Red cloak and Scythe and recently several cameras have helped place the identity of the suspect as one Ruby-."

Suddenly the image went static as Guts cut off the broadcast Signal.

He sighed he had done it.

"I knew you would be here." A voice said behind Guts

Guts turned around and found Jerry and Tom standing behind him arms crossed

'Fuck.'

Guts stood up "listen I know this seems bad." Guts said

"It's very bad." Jerry said

"But…we're willing to let you explain yourself." Tom said

Guts sighed "very well. The Grimm we hunted last night wasn't any ordinary Grimm. I think you knew that by now. It was once a human that sold its soul to become a Grimm and had more power. However when Ruby killed it she flushed the Grimm darkness away." Guts said

"Leaving no evidence that the Grimm was ever there." Jerry said

"Shit." Tom said as he realized.

"I need help to prove my partner's innocence. Will you help me?" Guts asked

The two officers nodded

"Come with us and we will start now." Jerry said

Guts nodded and went to follow the officers as his scroll Rang

Guts looked at the Caller ID

Guts accepted the call.

"Hello?" Guts asked

Over the line there was no banter. No cheery self or aloof headmaster.

No This was Ozpin focused and he asked only one thing.

Ozpin said nothing for a long time before asking

Guts legitimately didn't know the answer to that. But knowing that She could take down an Grimm-Apostle gave him confidence. True she's never been actively hunted before. But still he had hope.

"Yes." He said

Ozpin let out a large sigh of relief on the other end.

Guts nodded knowing that if the police found her they would shoot her first and ask questions later.

"I'm cutting off the signal from here but I can't watch the signal and search for Ruby At the same time." Guts said

When she froze as she read 2 message's

One was a News report: {Rouge huntsman At large:, Armed and Dangerous, Identifiable by Red Cloak and Hood and Large Scythe. If you have any info about the suspect please contact Patch police immediately.}

Ruby started to hyperventilating 'this wasn't real, it couldn't be, she tried as much as she could keep on the good side of the law, heck she, never got arrested before. The only reason that she was in jail before was because of Glynda and insisted on interrogating her and that was more incarnation than anything.'

But actual jail it was unfathomable. What would her dad think.

Oh shit her father.

He's going to be so worried but will likely get the wrong idea.

'Focus Ruby!' Ruby snapped herself out of her panic and looked at her scroll to see the other message

It was a text from Guts saying this

Ruby sighed he knew the truth. And still believed her then there was hope.

But not much if she didn't get out of here.

Ruby looked at the Text again and went to shut off her scroll.

And right as she did she noticed an alert that her father was trying to call her.

In the house Tai got the Message that the cell number was unavailable meaning Ruby had shut off her scroll.

Tai in Desperation and anger threw his scroll at the Wall which landed on the TV stand.

Tai sighed trying to get his breathing under control when there was a knock at the door

Tai got up and opened the door.

"Hello? can I help you?" Tai asked

Outside of his door were two officers of Patch police force

One of them being the police Chief.

"Mr. Xiao Long. I'm sorry to bother you this early in the morning but I'd like you to come with us." The Cheif said

Tai looked over to the two cops

"Is this about my daughter?" Tai asked angry

The two officers looked at each other then nodded

Tai sighed

"Fine I'll come, but I want to make it clear my little girl is not a criminal." Tai said

"The evidence will decide that." The Cheif said stoically as he turned to leave.

The other officer shrugged as He followed.

Tai stood in the doorway trying to get his breathing back under control it took all he could in that moment to not Sock the police Cheif.

Ruby sat down on the roof trying to get her breathing under control. She'd have to deal with the outcome of ghosting her father later, for now she had to look at her stuff to come up with a way to escape the city unnoticed.

From the alert they were looking for a Huntsman with a Red cloak and scythe.

She noticed she had Dust bombs and smoke bombs she carried for her battle with the Grimm Grimm-Apostle.

The smoke bombs were made of flour to give the massive dust cloud…

Ruby looked at her cloak then at one of her Smoke bombs.

She had no choice

She had to Bleach her Cloak.

The flour would wash off eventually.

Plus they didn't identify her so she could keep her hood down.

Ruby opened the Smoke Bomb and started to brush the cloak with the flour

It made her cringe so much but she had to do it.

Finally she was able to get it White on one side and Red on the other which she would wear inside out.

So long as she wrapped her cloak in front of her and didn't show Crescent rose she was safe.

It's not as if The police had revealed her face.

Ruby sighed knowing she was as ready as she could be started to climb down.

She looked around the entrance of the alley and the streets were packed. Life kept going on.

'She could do this if she could just hitch a ride to Vale maybe she could-.'

Ruby looked up to a Jumbotron as the local news alert.

{this just in. all airships directed to Vale are put on hold until the criminal Ruby Rose is caught!}

The Jumbotron of the news anchor was replaced with a Ruby's own mugshot

{"if you see this criminal please notify the police at once."}

Ruby's eyebrow's shot into her hairline as she looked around and noticed that many people in the area were looking at the Jumbotron

'Not good' Ruby thought as she flipped up her hood and started to run down the street.

Taiyang arrived at the police station with the Chef and the other officer.

" please follow us Mr Xiao Long."

Tai nodded wordlessly

After his call with Ozpin he'd do all he can to make sure Ruby was safe. Even if it meant tricking the police.

Tai followed them into the police chief's office. As the other officer went to do something else

"Listen we are not your enemy, you're a good capable huntsman. And right now we need your skills." The Cheif said

Tai sighed "my daughter is not a criminal." He said

"I'm not saying she is. But we have visual proof that she killed a man in cold blood. We need to find her to get her side of the story. And you bring her father and a huntsman would have the best idea as to where she would go if something like this happened." The Cheif said

"Mr Xiao Long will you help us?" He asked

Tai sighed

"Fine, but I don't want any more reports of her on the air." Tai said

"Those are for Civilian protection." The Cheif argued

"No reports!" Tai said with a tone of finality

The Cheif growled but nodded "alright we will pull the reports." He said

Tai nodded "thank you."

"You will be attached with Patrol car 7. They will be your escorts as they help search the city for your daughter." The Cheif said

"She is dangerous. I don't care if you think you know her, you don't. Don't trust anything she says." The Cheif said

Tai turned to see the two officers stand behind Tai.

They smiled

"Get going you too I want this mass murderer caught." The Cheif said nudging towards the door.

The three nodded and left.

In the vehicle bay Tai slammed his fist into the wall. "That bastard!" He said

The two officers looked at each other

"Let's get in the car, we can help you search." The one on the left said

"Listen my daughter is not a mass murderer. I know I can't prove it but I know it's true please you have to believe me." Tai said sobbing

The two officers stopped before the car

"Did we ever say we didn't believe you Mr. Xiao Long?"

Tai looked up as the Officers smiled

Tai sighed as he headed to the car.

"Let's go the officer sat in the driver seat and started the car. And drove out.

"Shut off that Radio Jerry." The driver said

The driver turned back

"Ok here's the deal. We know all about what the exact mission Your daughter and her firend were on. I'm not sure if I believe all of it but we know. The other guy is the actual one who is searching for her we are just leading the others on a wild goose chase to give him time understand?" Tom asked

Tai nodded "yeah that's what I was going to do anyway." He said

"Good now play along." Tom said as he turned the radio back on.

"So your sure you have no idea what she'd do in a situation like this…" Tom said

Tai played along perfectly "no I swear she's been a darling little Angel her entire life…although." Tai said

"Although what?" Jerry asked

"She has always been interested in weapons at a young age. Maybe a bit younger than is strictly necessary." Tai said

"Good enough for me, let's go." Tom said as he threw the car in reverse and drove out of the lot.

Guts stood in the street where Ruby had finally rested after the battle with the Grimm-Apostle.

And infront of him was a brick wall

Guts stepped in the alleyway and looked around

There was blood on the ground.

As well as a Rose petal near the back wall.

Guts headed over to the rose petal and picked it up

He looked around 'there is no way this was just a random drop it must've come from somewhere.' Guts thought as he looked at the buildings

And saw scrape marks on the walls

Ruby's boots.

Guts looked behind him

Same boot tracks.

And they stopped halfway up to the wall, a perfect hight for someone to Vault over the wall.

Guts knew Ruby's path and took a few steps back before following in her footsteps

He landed on the ledge looking over both sides

There was a pile of Rose petals in the middle of the otherside of the alley

No other directions present which meant that Ruby didn't run out of the alley

She ran Up.

Guts looked at the building wondering how he was going to get up there.

Guts looked and found a fire ladder on the other side

Guts hopped down from the wall and started to climb the ladder up.

He stood on top of the Building and found evidence of Ruby's presence on the other building

Guts hopped over to the other Roof and found evidence of Ruby's presence.

Flour.

While it's windy much of the stuff was still there.

Guts stood up as he noticed two half's of a smoke bomb he helped Ruby build.

'So she bleached her cloak' Guts's thought as he stood over the edge of the building trying to find something that would give evidence of where she went

As he was looking a White rose petal flew over to his face.

Guts was fast enough to catch it

On one side was White.

The other side was Red

Guts looked around and found more White and Red petals interspersed.

Guts sighed she wasn't making this hard for him to track.

Ruby turned the corner looking around to make sure no one noticed her

She nearly bumped into someone but she dodged just in time.

Unfortunately the man she bumped into was insistent she apologize

"Hey why you?!" He yelled as he grabbed her hood.

Ruby's hood fell away as the man paused

In the car Tai and Jerry sighed they had visited the last dust shop still nothing.

"Damn do you have any idea as to where else she would go?" Tom asked in the driver seat.

Suddenly the radio crackled on

{"all officers be advised, suspect has been spotted on 4th street! And is fleeing all Units move to intercept over!"} the women in the Station said

"Understood HQ, patrol car 7 on our way." Tom said as he activated his police lights. And drove off

Ruby was looking around as she knew she was spotted she flipped her cloak around to hide her bleached cloak.

Unfortunately several police cars were on her tail

'Shit, shit, shit, come on Ruby.' She thought as she started to run around the streets trying to shake them.

Ruby turned the corner and saw guts standing before her. Ruby was so tempted to fly into his arms.

But she heard sirens behind her.

Ruby looked around and found another Alleyway she could ditch into

She glanced at Guts who nodded

Ruby smiled as the police stopped patrol car 7 being the first one and took up most of the road preventing the other cops from getting in

Still that didn't stop the other cops from getting out.

"Ruby Rose, stand down!" The police Chief said as he pointed his pistol at her

Ruby looked back

"Ms Rose we don't want any trouble, we just want to talk." Tom said

"Talk?" Ruby asked turning around fully

"Did you want to talk last night when you put a nine mill in my gut? Or when the monster busted into that family home and I was framed for their deaths." Ruby asked

"Evidence will show us the truth, come with us Ms Rose we will get this sorted out." The police Cheif said

Still Ruby said nothing

The Cheif sighed he didn't want to do this.

"If you won't come out. We have your father with us." The Cheif said

Ruby narrowed her eyes as the first patrol car opened up and Taiyang stepped out.

"R-Ruby." Tai said as he tried to approach him

Ruby stepped forward but Faltered as the police Chief put a hand on Tai's shoulder.

"Trust us Ms Rose. Come with us and if there is a misunderstanding we will get it cleared up." The Cheif said

Ruby growled "you know nothing." She said as she too a step back

She heard the Dragonslayer Leave the sheath as Guts stood ready.

The police Cheif sighed he really didn't want to do this.

"If you won't come with us. Then we will make you." He said as he pointed his Gun at Tai who stood stock still

Ruby paced not sure what to do.

The police chiefs pistol dropped out of his hand

And Ruby held the smoking gun of Crescent Rose.

The Cheif was beyond pissed he was done being reasonable

"KILL HER!" He roared

while several cops were stunned by the order a few didn't hesitate as they shot at Ruby.

Ruby took the chance to Run down the alley

"No!" The Cheif roared as Guts ran after Ruby and used his Gauntlet to "fire" at her which he missed and blew up a bit of rubble blocking the alleyway she ran down

The Cheif growled

"Damn it! Hunt her down and kill her. I'm not letting her escape again!" The Chief said

Tai lost it as he threw himself at the Cheif

"Fuck you asshole! What tge hell were you thinking?!" Tai said

The Cheif threw Tai off

"I'm doing what is necessary to protect the people of this island!"

"And what was that you did back there holding her father at gunpoint."

"She had to choose." The Chief said

"You gave her an impossible choice!" Tai ranted

"The evidence doesn't lie." The Cheif said

Tai growled "well I don't like it, if you're going to do this, your on your own!" Tai said as he stormed off.

The police Chief sighed as Tai walked away.

Behind the Chief a female intern spoke "Sir you weren't actually going to Shoot Taiyang Xiao Long were you?" She asked

The Chief said nothing for a long time before he got back in his car and drove away.

This shattered what little belief the police had to there Chief.

They had seen the writing on the wall for years.

Every year less and less Huntsman we're signing up for the Program.

It was so low this year that the Chief was planning on cutting the program all together.

Expect the application's didn't register that at all.

There were 100's of applicants every week.

Normally the Cheif would go and get the mail which would have the bulk of them. Bit sometimes a few letters get in late.

And the numbers showed people were interested

Also the fact the police Chief was fudging the numbers showed he had another motive.

The fact that police and Huntsman didn't get along with each other investigations showed a divide.

But the Chief was going far beyond that actively trying to cut the program that gave the police force a Necessary break

Also the fact that other cops had walked out on the station after having an argument with the police Chief

Now they understood.

And they would not stand for it.

Guts and the other cops looked at the brewing revolt forming as Jerry and Tom helped spread truthful evidence to prove Ruby's innocence.

Jerry looked over his shoulder to see what Guts was doing

Only that Guts was gone.

Ruby ran as fast as she could trying to get out of the city.

Guts had bought her time now it up to her to make the most of it.

First she had to get out of the city.

That was simple due to the Highway to the countryside.

Unfortunately it looked at if the police chief knew this and stood guard on the end

"If you see her blast her." The Cheif said

"Sir." An officer said pointing at Ruby who was on approach

The chief smiled "all members take aim!" He snapped

The officers raised there weapons some had there pistols. Or shotguns, some even have military rifle's but that's it.

Ruby ran down the street petals flying off of her

"Fire!" The chief said

As hot lead flew into the air

However none of the shots hit.

It just looked as if they bounced off.

The chief roared "you idiots keep firing!" He roared.

As a Car approached Ruby trying to block her escape Ruby jumped on its hood and over the barricade as the chief followed Ruby he noticed she was flipping him off.

Ruby landed on the otherside and ran.

Not a single officer was hurt during the exchange.

That seemed to anger he police chief more

"HOW DARE SHE MOCK US!?" He screamed

A cop turned to the Chief "sit There was no one injured in this encounter I don't think she was mocking us." He said

The Cheif exploded his mustang brushing up against the Cops nose

"Don't tell me anything about that?! I know what I saw, I want her captured!" He roared as he stormed off back to his vehicle and drove away.

In his office the Chief sat at his desk. With a sigh. He hated huntsmen. They think themselves all high and mighty and praised constantly, while the little guy gets down and dirty with no reward.

Plus several recent incidents that had Huntsman interfering with Police business. He hated it.

His first partner died by a huntsman who was busting up a raid of them. Some guy with a large scythe. He was a drunkard too.

Made him wonder why the huntsman are allowed to drink on the job anyways, it's not he could.

After that incident the Chief was hellbent of checking Huntsman power.

He was fortunate that several people on the council also agreed with his motive as well hence why he was allowed to become Chief. Not that he didn't deserve it.

He admitted to himself Huntsman do serve a good propose to keep the Grimm in check.

But that should be where it stops.

With the Grimm.

Not terrorists.

Not border control,

Not anything else domestic unless Grimm are breaching the city limits.

Still at this point he didn't care Huntsman had too much power.

And he was going to prove it.

Even if he had to personally pay the headmaster of that damn school a visit.

What the Chief didn't know was outside of his office Jerry and Tom were spreading the word on what happened and what would be believed by the others on the force.

And it just so happens that one of them sent a word to his brother

In the forest Ruby was looking for a good area for her to Camp for the night.

She looked at her gear and what she had on her.

A few rations of food.

Dust

a bed roll

Blanket,

Water canaster

Even nails.

Ruby at the time didn't understand why she would need this for a night excursion to kill an Grimm Grimm-Apostle.

But knowing how far to shit this had gone She was glad she did bring them.

The only thing she wished she did bring, was her repair kit.

While not broken, Ruby diligently maintained Crescent Rose.

It was something she could use to keep her mind off the situation.

Ruby looked around and noticed Night was falling

She'd need shelter fast.

Especially something that would repel Grimm.

'Crap I didn't think about the Grimm' Ruby thought

Normally she'd be able to pull an all nighter or maybe a week on and off due to her semblance.

But the battle with the Grimm-Grimm-Apostle had exhausted her completely

Even her Semblance wasn't able to make her less tired.

Which meant she had to rest the long way.

She'd be fully vulnerable for 7 possibly 8 hours.

Ruby looked around for a good place to sleep.

She also gathered a bit of other resources she would need for the night like firewood. As she kept looking

There were a few spots like large Trees or a strangely stacked pile of rocks

But Grimm could climb or knock down the trees

And the stone seemed unstable.

She thought it was going to be hopeless and she was just going to have to sleep in the open and hope that she woke up tomorrow.

However luck was on her side. after a while she found a small cave.

The cliffs it was in was smooth so Grimm couldn't climb up

And it was high enough that Grimm couldn't jump to it.

And it was small enough that a Aviator Grimm couldn't snatch her up either.

Ruby using her semblance jumped too the cave

She was so tired she nearly missed

She grabbed the ledge and pulled her gear into the cave as she tried to pull herself up.

She nearly slipped

3 times she tried and 3 times she nearly fell

Finally she was able to pull herself over the ledge and fell onto her back panting.

God she just wanted to rest.

However she knew she had other stuff to do.

Ruby crawled to her gear and started to build a fire to which she could use to heat herself for the night.

As she built the fire she pulled out a red dust crystal.

She threw a few shavings into the fire and the Logs caught fire.

Ruby leaned on the back of the cave as she let out a sigh of relief.

Dear gods, she was stressed.

Ruby opened up a ration and started to eat the powerbar.

Now she was relatively safe she could actually think about what happened.

Well she tried not to as she went to clean Crescent Rose.

Unfortunately she couldn't extend her weapon to fit in the cave.

Which meant that Ruby had nothing to help her.

Ruby watched the fire as the smoke blew out of the cave

She grabbed her blanket and wrapped it around her.

How fast had this gone to shit.

She was now an active criminal, her Sister and team were probably disbanded, or maybe even doing something worse and trying to find her to prove her innocence.

Then she thought about her team.

What they might be doing at the Dorm.

Did they think she betrayed them? Did they know?

That was almost saddening. They could be doing something like teenagers. And here she was staying in a cave on the run.

Perhaps she deserved this fate. Ruby didn't know.

Ruby sighed tiredly as darkness was coming for her.

She didn't fight the needed sleep.

Ruby looked around and was being led, more like paraded across the city of patch. Then in Vale.

Her hands were bound in front of her by Aura nullification Cuffs. And a Collar across her neck which the Cuffs were chained to.

They were the melted down pieces of her once prized weapon.

As she walked People booed her as if she was this monstrosity.

She looked around trying desperately to see anyone who would help her. She only noticed that Guts, Weiss, Blake and Yang looked at her in disappointment.

Off to the side both her Father and Ozpin stood saddened.

When Ruby stopped she was in front of a podium.

And a judge had found her guilty of murder. Of five accounts.

And sentenced herself to death.

Ruby looked behind her to see how her family thought of all this

But she only saw gallows

And she was on the platform.

She looked down to see the collar was removed but the cuffs were still on

And the police chief was reading her punishment. Her words before her execution.

Ruby felt the Noose slide over her neck…

And the Floor dropped

She struggled and flared as she was suffocated

As Ruby felt black she felt a pull as the tightness in her neck relaxed as she hit the ground.

'Had someone come to save her?'

As Ruby opened her eyes she was in different room.

Ruby looked around and found herself naked and her arms anchors to the wall above her head

And her Waist anchored to the same wall

The chain was in place with a chasity belt.

And an Aura suppression collar with a chain across her neck.

other than that she was naked.

Ruby heard a heavy iron door open and the police cheif walked in.

"Well, well, well, look at you. Right here before me as you deserve." He leaned down and cupped Ruby's cheek

"As of this moment you are dead to the world. You were a monster and you were killed like a monster." He said

"However that to us wasn't enough. No you will serve us now." He said as he unzipped his pants. And pulled out his cock

"Suck." He ordered

Ruby tried to refuse but the Cheif just pulled her chain making her turn into the cock as it slid down her throat.

It felt like air.

"Suck bitch!" The chief said

Ruby gagged as the chief slapped her.

"You will learn your place. And this will ensure it." He said as he held up a remote

Ruby gasped and looked down at her belt and started to squrirm. But the metal braces kept her locked

"W-what have I done?" Ruby questioned.

Ruby sat there contemplating this question for a while.

Along with all the others 'how would her father feel? her Sister? Her Team?'

All of it.

It was all too much.

Ruby looked at the fire to see it still burning.

Ruby looked out wondering how long she slept thinking it was only one or two hours and she should try to go back to bed but when she looked out towards the entrance of the cave it was clear that it was almost midday.

Ruby sighed as she put out the fire and saved the newly made Charcoal in a separate pouch so she could use it later.

Ruby sighed she knew it was a bad idea. But looking at the Sun and knowing the time we're two different things thing.

Plus she planned to displace from here anyways soon. So it couldn't hurt.

Ruby pulled up her scroll and turned it on.

At the police station a ping went off as the women behind the desk noted Ruby Rose's scroll going off.

Now normally she'd Transfer this over to the Chief but recently he's been acting strange. So instead she trusted her gut and paged the most reliable unit on the patch force.

Patrol car number 7.

Jerry, Tom, please come to the front please." She said

A few moments later Jerry and Tom rushed towards her.

"What's up Lynda?" Tom asked

"Ms roses Scroll just pinged. Go quick south forest before the Chief gets word." She said

"On it were on our way thanks Lynda I'll buy you lunch or dinner sometime for you!" Jerry said

"Just bring her in boys!" She said

As patrol car 7 drove off to the area.

Guts watched as they drove off hoping that something was done for Ruby.

Suddenly Guts got a ping from Jerry.

{"Her scroll just pinged we're going to bring her in and keep her safe, you do want you need to get her in and out."}

Guts closed his scroll and groaned 'goddamn it Ruby.' Guts thought.

He opened up his scroll to Text Ozpin.

{"Ruby is about to be brought in I hope your ready."} Guts said

Ozpin texted back

{"I am I'll be on patch In a hour."}

Guts shut his scroll and looked up confused 'why did Ruby open her scroll now of all times?'

In the cave Ruby was shocked she'd seen several pages of local news and Vale news.

No mention of her being a criminal.

Not a single hint of it.

It's as if the event didn't exist.

Ruby leaned back

'Was she free?'

No… even if there was no word of it. It was clear that the police was still after her.

Which means she had to keep moving.

Ruby got up and put her stuff away and started to climb down the cliff.

Ruby got down safely and started to hike in the forest.

Ruby looked around. Not exactly sure what she should do.

She could fight Grimm after all it's her job and at least it will help cut down the population before she's caught and protential forced to give up being a huntress forever.

'No I doubt that would happen, Ozpin would argue for me.' Ruby thought to herself.

Still she can't just hike, she needed to do something.

Eventually Ruby decided to gather items for more long term survival. Such as Berries and a few nuts.

She had no idea exactly what she'd do when winter came. It's not like she could go back home.

If the cops were smart which admittedly they were when they were chasing her in the night they'd no doubt have surveillance on her house so she couldn't sneak in without getting caught

Perhaps her father might get in trouble for harboring fugitives.

Ruby didn't know but she didn't want to risk it. Especially seeing as she didn't want her father to lose his job.

Ruby sat on a log as she used her charcoal from last night for a fire. Perhaps she could learn fishing or ice fishing for food.

Ruby heard a snap of a twig behind her

She turned quickly in fear

And she was tackled by a cop

They had found her

'How? Fuck her scroll she forgot to shut it off.'

Ruby begin to struggle trying to escape but he kept her pinned

And he began to talk

"Tom yeah it's me I got her. She's safe." The cop said

Ruby tried to headbutt the cop but he braced her first

"Listen it's ok we're not going to hurt you. We know the truth. Your friend is working on evidence to clear your name. Please don't struggle."

Ruby froze 'did she hear that right? We're they? No it had to be a trick.'

"I'm going to pull away now and get off of you please don't run away ok?" Jerry asked

Ruby said nothing. The cop slowly let go

Ruby sighed as he got off her.

"Listen, we've found out the Chief has a major grudge against huntsman for some reason. We're going to bring you in but we will not leave you alone with him. And hopefully by the end of the Day you will be free to go home to your father." Jerry said

"How is he?" Ruby asked

"Worried Sick. But more angry at the chief. His stunt he pulled last night with your father opened a lot of people's eyes."

Ruby nodded

"Ok I'll go with you." She said

Jerry nodded "I'm going to have to cuff you you know that?" He asked

Ruby nodded. She tried not to show it but damn it her legs were getting wet.

"Hands behind your back." He said

Ruby did as told as the cuffs clicked and eventually they lead Ruby into the car.

"Wait, what about my stuff?" Ruby asked

"I have your weapon and I will process it myself. I won't let the chief lay a hand on it. As for the rest of your gear you still have it." Jerry said

Ruby nodded

Jerry looked at his partner "tell Guts we have her and she is safe."

The driver nodded "done."

Jerry sighed "then let's just hope the other piece's fall into place." He said as they drove off.

In the back Ruby looked out the window. As the city lights flashed across the window.

"How are you back there?" Jerry asked

"I'm…im ok." Ruby said

"Don't worry no matter what happens we will get you out of here." Jerry said

Ruby nodded hoping he was right.

She also hoped she'd get something to help with her building Arousal.

They stopped in front of the station and Jerry opened the door for Ruby who got out.

On the top of the steps was the police chief looking smug arms crossed

"Well well well another one brought to Justice." He said

"Throw her in a cell you two. Good work." He said as he was about to turn and head back inside

Before he noticed Ruby didn't have her weapon

"Where is her weapon?" He asked

"I have it." Jerry said

The chief stepped forward "give it to me I'll processes it myself." He said

Ruby looked to Jerry hoping he'd keep his word.

She was thankful that he did

"It's on the way to the holding cells. I'll do it." Jerry said

The Chief was angry at this but then a limousine pulled up at the foot of the station

He nudged the two inside as the three walked in the chief went to greet this new arrival.

The door opened before he could open the door for the person

And a black cane hit the ground followed by Shoes as the man stood to his full height the chief tried to hold his shock and surprise

Ozpin Was here.

"I Um…hello sir." The chief said

Ozpin watched the top of the steps as He noticed the last bits of Ruby being lead into the station

Ozpin turned to the chief

"I've been told that you are holding one of my students. I wish to talk to them." He said leaving no room for argument.

The chief stuttered shocked

"I'm. I'm sorry but I can't do that. They have just arrived so we need to process them give me about two hours and I'll allow you to talk to them.

Ozpin narrowed his eyes. Two hours was too long. When Glynda went to bring Ruby in Vale it took only 30 minutes before she had an interrogation room open for them.

Here he says it's going to take two hours.

Ozpin stepped forward and closed the door.

"In the hope of transparency. I'm going to let you know that Ruby Rose is in fact innocent and I have no doubt that what you think happened didn't." Ozpin said

The chief started to get red "forgive me Headmaster, but I've seen the evidence. Ms Rose has killed 5 people and I intend to give her Justice." He growled

Ozpin sighed "I'm going to speak to Ms Rose now. And nothing you can do can stop me." Ozpin said as he started to head up the stairs.

The chief turned to try to stop him but his scroll vibrated he looked to see it was a message

{"Ozpin is coming to visit, don't give him any backtalk. We will discuss this incident later."}

The chief growled he was so close but now his benefactor had pulled out once Ozpin got involved. Now he had to play his ball.

The chief ran up the stairs to get in before Ozpin and pull damage control but he was too late

Ozpin was already talking with Jerry and Tom.

"You two put Ms Rose in interrogation room 4. The headmaster wants a word." The chief said clearly displeased.

The two cops looked at each other "we haven't finished processing Ms Roses gear." Jerry said they in fact havent started as Ozpin spoke to him before he could turn to the processor.

Ozpin stepped forward and smiled reaching out his hand "I'll hold onto Ms Roses gear it will be in safe hands." He said

The two cops looked at each other and then at the Chief who was grinding his teeth.

If it angered he Chief it was good enough for them as they handed Crescent Rose to Ozpin

"Please lead the way." Ozpin said

The officers did so leading the both of them to the interrogation room.

Ruby was lead around the table and sat down there

The chief unhooked her wrists which she rolled in thanks.

Unfortunately the Chief grabbed her wrist again and locked it in front of her before pinning the cuffs on the table.

It made Ruby look like a common animal.

Ozpin looked at her in pity. But as She looked she noticed a different emotion behind it. One he was trying to hide.

Pure

Unadulterated

Fury.

The chief scowled as he tapped Ruby on the cheek "sit tight buttercup." He said as he walked out of the room

As he left Ozpin turned to Ruby

"Are you alright Ms Rose?" He asked

"I just want this done and over with. Please don't leave me here I do…I don't want to think about what he might do to me if I stayed." Ruby said

Ozpin looked into her eyes and nodded

"I promise Ms Rose neither you or I will be leaving this station separately." He said

Ruby sighed in relief as she shut her eyes as tears slid down them in relief

"Thank you." She muttered

Ozpin looked around and began talking.

"I hope you realize that what you've done has landed you in a lot of trouble." Ozpin said

Ruby winced and Ozpin grimaced seeing the sighs of PTSD.

She was kicking herself for the death's she couldn't stop.

And who knows what is going through her mind about the Grimm-Grimm-Apostle that she killed. Very rarely do Huntsman actually kill other Humans. But they do. And those that do are scared for life.

He hoped it didn't cut into her innocence

But first he had to clear her name.

"Ms rose…Ruby. Did you kill a family of 3 and a young girl about 15 last night?"

Ruby looked up at Ozpin her chin on the metal desk as her eyes looked up

"No." She said

"Do you know who did kill those 4 people last night?" Ozpin said

"Yes." Ruby said

Ozpin said

"Who killed the four people?" Ozpin asked

"The other victim of that night." Ruby said

Ozpin sighed "are you sure?" He asked

"I saw it." She said

Ozpin nodded

"Very well it appears that evidence." Ozpin paused as he flipped the file open

There was blood matching all 4 victims Ruby said under his fingernails.

He smiled and closed the file finally a break he'd think he'd have to pull something out of his ass to get Ruby free but apparently he didn't need to.

"It appears the evidence agrees with your story." He said

"What?!" A roar was heard in the hall

The door was kicked open as the chief stormed over Ruby winced away something that Ozpin noticed.

"Let me see the file?" He asked

Ozpin handed the file and opened it he was shocked at what it said

After everything he saw the examiner put out one simple verdict

Ruby Rose was not the killer for the 4 victims.

However, that still left the last one.

Something that he knew she did.

The Chief handed the file back to Ozpin as he turned to Ms Rose.

"You said you didn't kill the first four people in the events but what happened to the fifth person?" The chief asked

Ruby looked to Ozpin who nodded as she responded

"I killed him." She said with a stiff response

Ozpin nodded he understood the reaction she was traumatized about killing the Grimm.

"So you admit to killing him." The chief asked

Ruby nodded

The chief was about to convict her as he stood up but Ozpin spoke up first.

"Given the fact that Ms Rose has seen the man kill 4 other people I believe she is justified in her actions." Ozpin said

The chief growled caught again. However he had a few more questions maybe not something that would convict her but it could open a path somehow.

"Ms rose why were you in the city anyway?" He asked

"I believe I can answer that." Ozpin said

"I've gotten word of Grimm coming populated on patch and I sent her to go to the island on break and help clear it out." Ozpin said

The chief turned to Ozpin confused

"You had a student go while they were on break?" He asked

"I volunteered." Ruby said trying to get her two cents in

However the chief snapped at her

"SHUT IT." He snapped

Again Ruby tried to shrink away.

Ozpin spoke "as Ms rose said fuse volunteered and seeing as she is native to the island I figured she was a perfect choice for it."

The chief growled

"But that doesn't explain being in the city." He said

"During a hunt one of the Grimm was slippery and tried to escape I gave chaise but it ran into the city. Where I lost sight of it but stumbled upon the murderer." She said

The chief sighed he hated it but from her story he had no ability to hold her.

The chief stood up "it appears everything is in order your free to go." he said

He stood up and patted his sides

"Oh it seems I left the keys at the front desk give me a second and I'll be back.-"

Ozpin was quicker instead just raising his cane and bringing it down on the table where the handcuffs were. Shattering them

Ruby rolled her wrists finally free and activated her aura

'Great those were the last Aura suppression cuffs they had too.'

The chief sighed "look just go." He said before he pointed to Ruby "but you. If I see you again I will be having a private word with you." He said before storming off.

Ozpin and Ruby walked outside of the station free at last.

Ozpin turned to Ruby to smile

However he was clomped by Ruby hugging him

He was suprised by the ferocity of it before he heard a soft voice from his cloths

"Thank you…I didn't know what he might have done to me but I didn't want to know." Ruby said

Ozpin smiled and brushed her hair.

"It was nothing Ms rose. Now please you should hear back home I'm sure your father is very worried about you." He said as he pulled away.

"I will see you next week Ms Rose. Oh and good job on that hunt." Ozpin said as he walked down the steps and drove off.

Ruby smiled before the words hit her

"Oh shit dad!" Ruby said as she started to run home but I voice cut her off making her trip

Right into the person's arms.

"He's aware your free. And is at home making a grand dinner for your found innocence." He said

Ruby reconized he voice immediately "GUTS!" As she flung her arms around him.

Guts smiled and accepted the Hug "hey Ruby. It's good your safe." He said

"Thanks to you." Ruby said

Guts smiled "come on let's get you home I'm sure you'd like that very much."

"Oh fuck yes." Ruby groaned

To anyone else it would seem like relief but Guts knew better.

"Ruby are you ok?" Guts asked

Ruby bluntly answered " I haven't cum in two days imin desperate need for a fucking." Ruby said

Guts sighed and nodded "come on let's get you home. We can have dinner and you can sleep with me tonight." He said

Ruby sighed as she clung to her boyfriends arm as they headed home.

When they got home Tai had indeed gone all out making a ravish feast fit for beacon then a small meal for 3.

They sat down and shared pleasantries and tai gave the faithful words to "dig in"

Guts scoffed thinking of what leftovers they would have tomorrow.

Ruby just went to town.

Frankly guts thought if Ruby could have grabbed a shovel from the shead and used it in replacement for a spoon she would.

Within five minutes half the stuff on the table was gone.

And Ruby wasn't stopping

Tai sighed "I knew I should have had Everyone put something on there plate first." He said sadly.

As he moaned Ruby tried sneaking over and stealing something from his plate

Tai caught her

"Ah no! What's the rule about Table meals?" He asked pointing to Ruby like a stirn father should

Ruby wiltered "you have to ask before you can take." Ruby said looking down guilty.

Tai nodded "that's right now I know you had a bad two days and your hungry but we know that using your semblance to eat quicker doesn't make the problem go away.

"It makes it worse." Ruby said with a huge sigh. As he groaned to the ceiling.

"Thats right so no more semblance usage for the rest of dinner. I mean it, don't make me go and get the repression collar."

Guts was confused "what?" He asked

Ruby grumbled "like the police they use Aura suppression cuffs to bring in detainees who have a semblance. Or Aura, this is a civilian version for those who can't control their semblance while they try to master it." Ruby said

"That's normally sometimes in Ruby's case we had to get more extreme as her speed began to build. Speaking of Ruby there's a new version of the collar out that's perfect for huntsman. You can still activate your semblance at will but it's not so large or bulky.

That made Ruby looked up shocked and puppy eyed.

Tai smiled "I knew you'd like that, finish your food and when I'm done I'll show you." Tai said

The meal went strangely not chaotic from then on. As the three finished there meals at roughly the same time

Of course Ruby ate them under the table literally as her second rumbles kicked in just about halfway through

Oh well at least they didn't have to worry about leftovers.

Tai got up from the table as he headed upstairs Ruby tried to follow him but Tai chucked Zwie at her

"No! You know your not allowed in here the last time you got in here you destroyed several punishment systems we had for you." Tai said

Ruby rolled her eyes as she sat on the ground and played with Zwie

"Dad I'm in Beacon now I'm not going to destroy anything because I don't like it. Aka they were too effective." Ruby said as she continued to play with Zwie

"Still I'm not taking my chances. Guts you can come in though." Tai said

"Yeah sure leave me alone here huh?!" Ruby teased

"You got Zwie!" Tai argued

"He's a dog dad!" Ruby said

Guts rolled his eyes from the top of the stairs "I'll be back as soon as possible." He said

Ruby smiled and rubbed her boobs with a wink before playing with Zwie again.

Guts closed the door as Tai showed the storage closet.

And Guts immediately understood why Ruby wasn't allowed to be in here.

Contrary to popular belief it wasn't completely full of stuff that was to punish Ruby that was 10-15 items.

What it actually was was a storage space to hold her mothers belongings.

Tai had basically made it a Shrine to his late wife Summer Rose.

Guts sighed

He looked over and saw a photo of Summer standing by a tree the rest of Team STRQ posing she had her good up so her eyes were covered under her white and red cloak.

A cloak that Ruby had bleached to escape the police.

"Tai you know." Guts said

"I know about Ruby's cloak, I saw it clear as day. It's one of the things I'm looking for." Tai said as he pulled out a cardboard box with a label in a handwriting not Tai's saying "Ruby's clothes"

Tai pulled out several Cloaks each one slightly bigger than the other for a person 7,8,9, and even 10 respectively.

He put them aside before he dug around a few more until he hit the bottom.

"I'm going to have to teach her to make her own sooner rather than later." He said sadly Almost longingly

"I assume you made those?" Guts asked

"No Summer made them all. It's as if she knew. Wonderful woman she was." Tai said

"I wish I could have met her." Guts Said

"Your basically dating her exact replica." Tai said

Guts looked shocked well…shit this just got awkward. However Tai just sat in a rocking chair with a longing face on him.

"She's more like her than she knows. It hurts to wake up sometimes and think I see her but instead it's my daughter. It's both a blessing and a curse. I've long ago stopped physically calling her Summer and correcting to Ruby. But in my head it never stops.

Tai sniffled as he held his hand to his eyes to blink away his tears

"I'm sorry. You don't want to hear this not from me. Give this to Ruby. It's her cloak from last year so it's a bit shorter but it will do until I can get the other one washed," Tai said

Guts took it and looked around Tai had even a Coat rack to which he hung up Summers spare cloak and her weapon was framed on the wall beside it.

"When was the last time she was in here?" Guts asked

"Before Signal at least. We had started to punish her for a few things so she wanted to get a sneak peek at what was in store for her."

"I think she was still too young to realize the significance of this room." Tai said

"Will you show her?" Guts asked

Tai nodded "after the school year is over I will. She deserves to know."

Guts nodded

"You mentioned the collar?" Guts asked

"Oh yes right!" Tai said as he pulled out a long thin box looking more like a jewelry box for a necklace than a box to hold a collar.

When Tai opened it Guts realized why.

The Collar was basically a choker so it wouldn't be so much of a sore spot for people in the field.

Guts nodded and took it.

"I've got several more in case Ruby needs them but they were expensive so tell her I hope she takes care of them." Tai said

Guts nodded "I'll let her know." He said as he opened the door and left.

At the bottom of the stairs still playing with Zwie Ruby was looking up Eagerly trying to peer into what was behind the locked door

Still she got nowhere. As her father exited and turned on an Aura lock sealing it shut.

Ruby looked at Guts and noticed a red bundle in his hands

Ruby looked down and then realized in horror she was leaving flour everywhere "oh crap I'll get the vacuum and pick up the mess!" Ruby said as she stood up

"It's fine Ruby. Just take off the cloak and use the other one for now. I'll get that one washed tomorrow. Tai said

Ruby looked shocked. Was he tired suddenly?

Tai smiled "you two head upstairs and let off some steam if I know Ruby you're backed up to hell." Tai said

Ruby blushed but didn't say anything.

Guts looked over to Tai "are you going to be alri-?" Tai cut him off

"The vacuum will be loud enough." He said simply.

Guts sighed he knew the feeling this man was going through. Heck it happened to him.

Twice.

He was just fortunate he happened to find Ruby this time.

Guts nodded and headed to their room.

On the bed Ruby sat naked but looked at Guts apparently she had something to discuss.

"In the last minutes before I killed the Grimm Grimm-Apostle I actually got my eyes to work." She said

Guts smiled.

"That's great." He said

Ruby shook her head "except it was worse. T turns out that using my eyes on Grimm Grimm-Apostle cleanses them of the Grimm leaving them weaker for a time but still full Grimm-Apostle's in remnant."

Guts froze as he processed this

Actual Grimm-Apostle In Remnant.

This shit just got a whole lot more dangerous.

Gut and Ruby hammered out rules for the use of her eyes.

Knowing that she could identify Grimm Grimm-Apostle's made it easier. But still the situation was bad.

Before long though they're deep conversation was long forgotten in favor of snuggling and "exploring"

The vacuum was indeed loud enough to drown out the moans from Ruby's bliss.

And soon enough they would be heading back to school to start the Vytal festival.

Holy shit did this balloon out from before I originally just wanted 10,000 words but as I kept writing I wanted to add more details and soon enough I'm at almost 20k WTF? Well I hope you enjoyed I don't expect a lot of changes to volume 3 but I will add more context and more lore.

For now the chapter is done and I'm glad.
