Chapter start
There was an alarm and flashing red Lights and an elite atlas soldier flips a magazine into his rifle before slapping two others into his mag holders on his belt before he put on an atlas combat battle vest stacked with magazines before he put a black hoodie over that. And on top of that was a suit of atlas power armor with 8 more mags hanging down from it. He had sunglasses on and a cap covering his face.
He looked around to see Winter Schnee and the Ace-Ops also getting there gear on slower and more diligently well many of them were chatting. Winter Schnee stood ready next to him.
He scoffed, "I can't believe The General authorized my Squad to be disbanded only to be replaced with these buffoons." He said.
"Get to know them they will surprise you, besides your team is with us on this mission, too,"
He scoffed "yeah thankfully." Rolling his eyes
He sighed as he noticed Clover walking over to him
"Hey I heard you're joining us for this mission. I wanted to meet the new blood." He said with a wink.
The man shook his head clearly, the thought he was the more experienced when it was the other way around, the others came over too.
"Um, are you good with that load out? Wait, that's an Atlas A1 rifle… Can I touch it?" Tortuga said
The guy shrugged "sure man go nuts." He said
Tortuga picked up the rifle and shouldered it looking down at the sight. " Your zero is off by 0.5. You might want to check it before going into action." He said as he handed it back
The man checked his sighed and shrugged that the man was right. "Thanks I would have missed it…" he said as he re-zeroed his rifle.
"Dude! How did you get that?" Elm said disappointed at not following protocol.
"Oh I'm ummm…AFES." The guy said
Winter and Clover's eyes widened knowing the code of what AFES stands for, heck they had to use the phrase themselves once or twice. But that was with normal military or huntsmen. He used this with other actual Spec ops teams.
Winter and Clover looked at each other the same though ran through their heads
'Just who the fuck is this guy?'
They headed to the helipad where the group was surprised to see more people with the same outfit as the other with no name.
They all strode forward one of them raised their fist out nodding "captain."
to which the guy bumped it and looked over "you know the drill. You got your orders. Listen. If this mission goes south let me just say it's been an honor serving with you." He said
The guys in black nodded and got into one Gunship as the Ace-ops and Winter took the other including the faceless guy.
The pilot looked over to him "You're not allowed in the Gunship unless you got body armor."
The guy wordlessly lifted up his black hoodie to reveal the Combat vest underneath stacked with over fifteen mags.
The Ace ops's eyes shot open at how stacked this guy was
"Alright Nevermind." The pilot said as the guy hops in. And sits down.
"So Winter where too?" The pilot said
However the silent trooper spoke up "A-Tec 12-1z" he said
The pilot snapped forward and threw his ship into full thrust "everyone strap in!" He yelled as he turned the engines to full. And drove face first off the helipad the other gunship fell after them
The Ace ops in the back screamed while the Pilot hissed looking back at Winter.
"Damn it, why didn't you say this was a time sensitive op I would have the engines hot for you?!" He ranted as he looked back and pulled the bird up just in time before they crashed the other one pulled the same maneuver.
The Ace-Ops looked appalled "clearly they were in the dark about this mission
The No name stood up once they leveled out. And stood in the center. Activating coms between the two ships.
"Blue team. Go for secure." He said
"Secure captain." A woman said on the other end.
"At 06:00 hours we got a Call in, at the Schnee manner. Their heiress is under guard and is being threatened to be stripped of her rank." He said
"Damn son of bitch." Another person on the other craft said
"That cannot be allowed to happen: to that End Weiss Schnee must be secured. As well as the fact that It's been our understanding Jacques Schnee has Sensitive evidence that if revealed could lead to his departure as CEO of SDC." He said
"That would make a lot of people happy." Another voice said with a more Mantal/Slavic accent
"It would. However if He knows we're coming Jacques will not hesitate to burn the evidence we cannot let that happen." The captain said
"So two teams?" The women asked
"Two teams. Team one will move on the hostage at pinout Jacques and his accomplices while team two moves in to secure the data." He said
"Where is Weiss as of now?" Winter asked all serious her sister is in danger and she would do her damndest to prevent that.
"From latest intelligence Weiss is still held up in her room with her Father and brother." He said
Winter nodded "I and the Ace ops will move after Weiss. I know the quickest way there and how to avoid My fathers guards." Winter said
The man nodded "Very good, Blue team will move on the intel." He said before he paused
"Questions?" He asked
"What sort of resistance are we expecting?" Someone with a thick accent asked
"Apparently he's still trying to hide his ties so we can go with just Schnee guards." He said
"Why would he move now of all times? It makes no sense?" Another man said
"If you get the chance, maybe you can ask him, Greg."
After a bit the woman spoke again "sir we lost all signal to HQ." She said
"Elsa try to get another root to Holland?" The man asked
After a bit she said
"…Nada can't cut through Schnee interference." She said
"Alright everyone who heard her dead zone confirmed. Command will not be keeping us company this mission." He said
"I'm lonely already." A voice on the other ship said
The Ace ops looked at each other unnerved clearly. These guys were Professionals and they felt so out of place.
"Lethal force authorized?" Greg asked
"Only if we are met with resistance. The key to this is speed people. To that end pilots activate Shadow Cloaks." He said
Suddenly in the air both ships shimmered out of existence.
"They won't spot us but they will hear us. We will deploy on two sides of the compound. Blue team will deploy on the East Wing near the office. While the Ace ops will move against Weiss." He said
"What about you sir?" Elsa asked
"I'm going to to run interference on the ground to prevent any reinforcements from showing up. Remember this is a ghost op! The police don't know we're coming if they show up, do! not! shoot! them!" He said
"Come on boss it was one time." Someone moaned
"That one time costed Elsa her arm Romulo." He said
"What can you expect from us for interference?" Clover asked
"I honestly don't expect much. We gave you the easer target Greens. No hostiles, just Jacques himself and his son. Pin them down and prevent him from coming into his office, that's all I ask." The captain said
"What should we do if Weiss is hurt?" Winter asked
"For now we will assume she's fine however if she is wounded one gunship will stay over the compound and await for status if she's injured hoist her up to the bird along with yourselves and head back to Atlas." The captain said
"But wait…what about you?" Torgtuga asked
"Don't sweat it we've been in worse pickles than this." Someone from the other ship said
The pilot turned to look behind them "compound in visual range."
"Drop the ramp and open the bay doors." The captain said
As they opened they looked out to see the Schnee manor looking more like a fortress than a Manor at this point.
"Sir it doesn't look like they're unsuspecting of us." Elsa said
"steady course." The captain said
"Sir that seems to be a machine gun nests two of them near the entrance." Greg said
"They haven't spotted us, stay on target." The captain said
"Pilot drop to 4000 atmo." The captain said the two gunships slowly fell lower.
"It's so dark I can't see a thing." Vine said
"Team 1 go now!" The captain said as those of the Aceops grabbed a rope and jumped out of the side. While the captain started to run towards the back
"What the-?" Harriet asked as he swan dived off the end of the ramp.
Seeing the Atlas elites deploy out of the invisible Gunships the Machine Gun crews started to fire.
Unfortunately they were too late as the Captain slammed down on the first nest killing the crew of two instantly with a loud bang which caused the Manors alert system to go into high gear. And begin to lock down the compound.
"On no you don't ACE-OPS INSIDE NOW!" Winter ordered as she swung into the open window before it was slammed shut by the metal barrier.
Clover and the others got inside too and stood just outside the door.
Tortuga raised his pistol "I guess we knock…" he said
Outside the place looked like a warzone. The captain was pinned down as the other machine gun nest spewed dust rounds over his head.
The captain grit his teeth and blind fired over the sand bags he heard two grunts from the other side and the suppression fire from the nest stopped
He stood up and hoped the sandbags crossing over. He looked to see the main entrance and noted an unregistered Black van with obvious thugs standing by it
"Fucking separatists." He grit his teeth as he leveled his gun in burst fire mode and pulled the trigger. As he jerked the gun at the same time.
The result was two rounds went into both heads at near the same time with the extra one hitting the metal door.
He smiled and lowered his gun
Until the Vans light turned on gleaming at him
'Un oh' he thought.
Suddenly the side door of the van opened to reveal another separatist with a rocket launcher and fired it at the captain
He rolled to the side before he filled the guy with Dust. He noticed there were severe Ordinance in the van which with one shot he bunged in blowing a hole wide into sealed the breeche.
In Weiss's Room Jacques took a deep breath trying yo find a way to secure his holdings
Suddenly the ground shook under them and the alarm rang off as well as the windows behind Weiss were locked up.
Weiss looked back to see what was happening.
And that's when Jacques pounced he strode forward ripping Myrtenaster out of Weiss's hand and delivered a swift punch to her jaw sending her flying.
"Father!" Whitney said
Jacques turned to his son "shut up Whitney!" He said as he drew a hidden gun from his jacket pocket and leveled it towards Weiss.
"You have too much of your grandfather in you Weiss. Both you and your Sister do. I'm sorry to have to do this. Just like I was sorry to kill your grandfather too." He said as he cocked the hammer back
Only for the door to be kicked it making Jacques spin and blindly fire
"Argh!" Someone at the door said as another Shot the pistol out of Jacquese hand at the same time Harret screamed
"Tortuga!"
On the other side of the compound blue team moved into the center. "This is where Winter said it was?" Greg asked
"Apparently…we just do this…" Elsa said as she pulled out an oddly shaped brick
Suddenly the entire brick wall foundation opened up
"I'll be damned." Greg said
"Let's secure that data and go. We got more separatist to kill." Elsa said
"Yeah…will be great to get rid of their source of funds though." One said as they moved into the tunnel.
They came out in the big library downstairs out of the secret bookshelf.
"Looks like we're on the ground floor. Let's move up stay in formation. Greenhorn you got point." Elsa said
From the back a silent person stepped forward and raised a Atlas pistol and started to move.
As they came into the center of the room the lights around then flashed on.
"Well we'll well what do we have here Blue team spec ops!" A voice said from the balcony above them he wore a smug grin and a combat vest like the others.
Elsa growled. "Marko. You traitorous bastard."
"Ah sweet Elsa how's it going honey?" He asked
"You've got a lot to pay for Marko Starting with the assistance of The Escape of one Arthur Watts."
"Watts was a brilliant mind too good for his time it's just sad that none of you could keep up with him like I could." Marko said
"Damn it Marko you betrayed your brothers and sent your own to their deaths!" Greg yelled
"What I did was give them a choice. Throw off the brainwashing of General James Ironwood or take the bullet for their loyalty. I hate to admit it the General has a good brainwashing machine somewhere and once I expose it he's finished." Marko said
"The General is a good man he does what he does for the good of the people!" Elsa said
"The General Allowed Kids to be kidnapped from their families to serve as the basis of a super soldier program. A program you all then willingly joined!" Marko said
"We we're all orphaned from Grimm attacks, not stolen! We volunteered looking to make a differences and we were doing good. A LOT OF GOOD! Especially with you leading us! Then you betrayed Ironwood attacked him, took his arm! And you have the Gaul to say we betrayed you!" Greg said
"Ah Greg. The closest atlas has gotten to making a monster as fearsome as a Grimm in human skin… tell me Greg do you still have the flashbacks from when they put you under?" Marko said
Greg growled and fell back he didn't want to admit it but he was seeing the operation to make him who he was right now. Him strapped to the table screaming like a madman his veins on fire.
"Shut up Marko!" Greg said instability
"Greg…" Elsa looked back at him
"I'm fine." He said
"Of course that doesn't mean anything. At the end of the day we were successful. The Sentinel project is being shut down and your being disbanded aren't you." Marko taunted
"Damn it this is all your fault!" Verity the one who said he was lonely said as he stepped forward pointing at Marko
"Oh no no blame the General. After all he will give the exact same excuse as he gave me. "It's just the nature of things…you understand…" Marko said copying What James told him in private after his last mission.
"I suspect that once this place is cracked open like a nut. The damage control will be swarming all over. They'll have the code to shoot you on sight, clean up the evidence." Marko said
"Course your captain blind as he is…he'll be given the details as "your team was KIA…your a lone wolf now son." He said
"Why? Why lead to the captain being a lone wolf so important?" Elsa asked
"Why don't you Understand that it's always about him, his has always been working towards getting your captain alone away from your support, he was the only successful candidate after all." Marko said
"What you mean!?" Elsa asked
Marko nodded "that's right He's moving onto phase 3 of the Sentinel project."
The team grit there teeth and at the same time raised there weapons and blasted Marko with as much dust as they could fill him with
Marko jumped back and blocked with his arm his Atlas Power armor mixed nanoweave defected the bullets away.
"Fools! you understand that my armor is just as good as your even if it was outdated by the time I left!" Marko barked
Elsa threw herself behind the couch "Greenhorn Verity push onward with the mission Leave Marko to us." She said
The silent person nodded as they broke off from the fight,
Marko watched them go and smiled. "That was a mistake," marko said as he waved his hand and 50+ armed men wearing separatist outfits stormed into the balcony,
"Gun them down…" he said
The separatists opened, fire,
Elsa grit her teeth as she hid under cover,
"Return fire!" She barked,
The spec ops opened fire, but unlike the separatists who were firing Willy nilly, whenever a spec ops pulled a trigger a member of the opposition died.
In the hallway the Greenhorn and Vertity, walked together Weapons up,
Verity stopped on the other side of the door,
"This is it." He said
The greenhorn planted himself on the other side the door,
"Flash in?" He asked
"No, I don't think anyone is in there." He said
"Try the door."
Verity did so it was unlocked,
"Fast and loud." The greenhorn said
Verity nodded
"3…2…1!"
The door slammed open and the two walked in, clearing the room looking at every corner,
"Clear!" Verity said
" yea…why would he leave his office unlocked if he left it?" The new guy said
"Maybe he forgot?" Verity asked shaking his head
The new guy glaired at Veriy "Does Jacques sound like someone who would do that? Something is off." He said
"Dude will you just relax, we're fine, if your so paranoid you guard the door I'll grab the data." Verity said
The greenhorn did just that as he watched the door, while veriy clicked throught the terminal.
"Manifests, Key SDC documents, Shipping Roots, oh what's this, Threats for the White Fang?" Verity asked
"Jackpot?" Greenhorn asked
"Let's check." He said as he opened the file.
"Oh wow…yea we got the jackpot…the motherload, not only that but I got the location of the safe where the next shipment of money to the separatists are,
"Are you thinking what I'm thinking?" Greenhorn asked
"We heist the money and full our own war chest with it?" Verity said
The two fist bumped,
Suddenly they froze and pointed there guns at the door,
"You saw the motion tracker too right?" Greenhorn asked
"Yep…" Verity said.
"Well we'll well, looks like this plan has fallen completely flat." A voice said on the other side of the door,
"Marko?" Greenhorn asked
"Shush he might not know we're here." Verity said
"Oh no I know you're in there Verity." Marko said
"Why don't you show us your face then?" Verity asked
"Preferably with a Target panted on it." Greenhorn taunted,
"Ah the strong and silent type breaks character…you know I've never understood why you were accepted into the team, you were a nobody a wash out, yet here you are serving with the best of the best, not only that but unlike everyone else I can't get a single word on you, you don't exist." Marko said
"Because I don't," greenhorn said
"Oh…wait…oh…" Marko said
"Yea oh…" greenhorn said as he fired a shot,
There was a gurgle on the other side as the door slid open and revealed Marko dead slumped against the wall,
"Holy shit…our worst nightmare, founder of the separatists party of atlas, and mantle dead. Just like that." Verity said
"Come on let's go," greenhorn said
"What do we do with the rest of the info?" Verity asked
"Destroy it," greenhorn said as he left.
Back in the front the captain was holding his own against the horde of separatists. That just appered on the doorsteps,
"Damn it!" He hissed as he leaned against the doorframe of the manor, before he tossed a grenade,
The explosion rang out, and sent nearly everyone to the ground,
Some of the separatists looked at each other. "Who was authorized to use a gravity grenade?"
Elsa and the others only knew one, it was the captain, and that ment one thing he was in trouble, without saying anything, or showing any sign of communication between the spec ops people there, they stood up raised there A1 rifles and blasted the separatists, to peace's,
Elsa crouched down and activated the com link, "captain this is Elsa do you copy?"
"Over 2 what is it?" He asked
"We're in but we encountered heavy resistance of Separatists on the way in, Verity and Greenhorn were sent ahead, how are you boss?"
Outside the captain was looking around a pillar as a machine gun pinned him down,
"Pinned down my machine guns."… "single handedly stopping an entire Column of Heavy armor." And separatists reinforcements from hounding your ass, so I'm just peachy, TEAM 1 report!" The captain called,
"Jacques and Whiteley Schnee are secure, Weiss is unharmed." Winter said
"Very good!" The captain Said
"There is…one causality of the party however…" Winter said
The captain slowly stopped firing
"Sir Torturga is dead."
The captain cut off the com link, as outside he went berserk, he charged forward firing, and killed seven people within 3 seconds, before he spun around and killed two more separatists. A few tried to come into close combat with him but he killed them in at least one punch.
The captain looked over to see an Atlas Paladin walking up with a contingent of separatists, The captain just pulled a pin of a gravity grenade and a sunburst grenade, and tossed them together.
Now as expected having mixing a grenade that compresses the air around the explosion Infinitesimal time until the pressure itself makes a nano black hole. Then add enough energy for a fusion engine to make the heat and power of the sun,
Basically if not stopped it could in fact be the end of the fucking planet,
Fortunately, it only ended up killing the paladin and the contingent of Separatists before it ate itself out,
The captain sighed.
"This is the Captain is everyone safe?" He asked
"Yes sir." Winter said
"Understood Blue Team what's the situation of the Speratists inside the manor?" He asked
"All green sir." Elsa said
"Very well all units Evac evac now!" He said
"Freeze!"
"Under orders you are under arrest, hands in the air!" The police said
"This is a military Battlezone clear out now!" The captain said
"Identify yourself!" The police ordered.
"The captain was silent,
"Identify yourself Or you will be considered hostile!" The police said
"Ghost…" the captain said
The police froze up and with sneaking hands dropped there weapons, "BLUE TEAM EVAC!" He snapped,
He looked at the two cops "I was never here." He said as he and the Spec ops entered the Invisible gunships and flew off, Jacques in tow with Wheatley,
Jacques sat on the bench with his hands cuffed, "so…what are you going to do to us?" Jacques asked
"The general will decide your fate," The captain said
Winter looked at the captain "is your name really ghost?" She asked
"Classified." He responded,
Winter nodded "my apologies I'll say no more," she said
He sighed
"Blind them." He ordered
Before Jacques or Wheatley could even understand what was going on blindfolds and gags were introduced to the two criminals, as well as ear plugs,
The captain took off his face mast to reveal a scarred face, with a lone scar on his cheek.
"My name is Ghost, And I am to be considered the most dangerous single man in Remnant, I was genetically modified to be superior than any opponent, at any cost, I am the start of a project that will change the face of Remnant as we know it, you are apart of the Special ops team in Atlas, the Ace ops, you serve under General James Ironwood, as his elite team of crack huntsman, able to do what's needed to do in a timely fashion,
We are your equal we serve as members of a team of the best of the best, with the best equipped best training everything, when there is something that a danger and there might be a spread of panic Ironwood calls you, however when shits hit the fan and the idea isn't to stop the panic but end the crisis as quick as possible you call on us, we are project Sentinel, a group of super soldiers who will do whatever it takes to get the job done, no matter the cost, because if we don't, then there will be nothing left to return to anyways." Ghost explained.
"Holy shit." Clover gasped
"Why are you telling us this? Especially me?" Weiss asked as everyone looked over, "I'm not special ops…" she said
Ghost smiled. "Oh but you are, you just don't know you fall into that category." And the reason I tell you is well…I'll let Ironwood explain." Ghost said as he covered his face, the two gunships landed on the Atlas Helipad, "pilots you do your routine checks then take time off, you earned it today." He said
"Thanks captain." The pilots said
The spec ops headed towards the entrance of Atlas and found James ironwood standing in front of the door Eyes stern.
"Follow me…" he said coldly, as he turned and headed in,
Still the Sentinel's were fist bumping and cheering at each other. Even when Ironwood glared at them,
They entered Ironwoods office and he sat down and pressed a button which locked down his office only then did his face shift,
"Report?" He barked to the captain.
"All objectives completed. In fact so good we might have sped up the wars conclusion 3 years early.
Ironwood sat back shocked "three? You're sure?" He asked
Ghost pulled off his glasses, helmet and face covering, he smirked,
James laid down and took a deep breath in relief, "Oh! Ghost you are a lifesaver." He said
"Don't thank me, thank the greenhorn, after all he killed the runaway." He looked over
Ironwood turned to him "is this true?" He asked
"Yes sir, the traitorous Marko is no more." He said
"As well as all the data of Jacques schnee transferring money to the separatists." Verity said as he tossed a thumb drive to Ironwood which he caught,
"Excellent work, with this, we can finally get rid of that damn archaic law of his outlawing devourse, as well as finally get him replaced in the company, already I hear the fact of Weiss's stunt at the ball caused his Numbers of support to plummet after all he was shown blatantly abusing his daughter in front of over 1000 people." Ironwood said.
Weiss winced and looked down, Winter put a reassuring hand on her shoulder.
"Sir there's a few questions I have to ask." Elsa said stepping forward
"Elsa?" Ghost asked
"Ghost please…" she asked having him understand that she was doing this out of loyalty. Ghost nodded
"We encountered Marko at the Schnee manor, and he told us some…odd things, about project Sentinel." She said
Ironwood raised his eyes brows
"What things?" He asked
"Your not going to deny the claims from the traitor outright immediately?" Winter asked
General Ironwood turned to her "Project Sentinel is a Gray project just like P.E.N.N.Y and I refuse to write it off especially if the troops I trust to defend us, question my reasoning. I wish to know them off, and tell it to them for the face." He said
Winter nodded
"Sir…why was Project Sentinel created…and not for the good of Atlas shit you told us at 13 the real reason." Elsa said
James Ironwood sighed and looked up.
"The only reason I'm telling you this is because your trusted friends of mine, some of you here already know this information… others it will be the first time I'm sorry if your world is about to be rocked." James stood up
"The Might of Atlas, the protectors of Mantel, and the world, didn't always get the foundation it's famous for now…obviously… skipping a bunch of useless history, there is a group dedicated to protecting the safety of every single person living on this planet from the greatest threat humanity has ever posed…the Grimm." James turned around
"To that end I created the Sentinel project. To be the best of the best." He said
"Then why have we not fought against any Grimm!" Elsa said
"I HAVE NOT FINISHED SPEAKING!" James snapped
Elsa looked down "sorry sir." She said
"James sighed "it's fine…Now as I said I needed the best of the best to stand and fight against the Grimm, to that end, I started to talk to Dr. Watts a scientist who had a connection to the mad scientist and lost brainiac Dr. Merlot about Human genome modification." Ironwood said
"Wait Dr, Watts knew about this?" Ghost asked James nodded
"That was why it was so crucial to recapture him before he escaped." He said
The others bowed their heads it was one mission they failed,
"The idea was simply too difficult to modify the genome of an adult human as it would untimely rejected the modifications however if the modifications are made to children and they grow into them, they come out stable." Ironwood said
"So…did Project Sentinel start with Kidnapping children away from their Parents without them knowing?" Elsa asked
James sighed "no…in the beginning we were only trying to help people, however I did have a military application in my by this time. However no children were kidnapped. All people I asked were volunteers, and I even consulted the kids that were undergoing the Surgery, the First was Marko…" James said
"The most successful." Ghost said
James tilted his head "the most successful physically, being the key term, mentally though he was showing erratic behaviors, unstability." James said
"What did you do that kept him here for so long?" Elsa asked
"We gave him medication to keep him in check, as more were made several failures were found, and the process refined, your technically the second batch, of Sentinel's the SENTINEL II's basically. Unlike previous tests with the Grimm increase on mental we decided to use the base of Orphans, as you know. And I'd say that became a stunning success." He said
Greg stepped forward, "sir before Marko died, he spoke to us of a Sentinel III's class.
Ironwood shut his eyes, "yes, I fear that is the thing that pushed Marko over the end to betray us," see the idea of the Sentential project is to help. Protect the peoples from the Grimm, the only problem is that To that end the Grimm was so numerous there were just too many for a small elite group.
As such the SENTINEL III project is one of bigger proportions… AKA infuses SENTINEL Gene theory with warriors already strong enough that we rely on them anyway's Huntsman…" James said
Everyone gasped.
"But…sir that's just…that's insane! Are we sure that won't physically harm the individual?" Clover asked
James looked at him. "That's the thing it already was successful, you've seen him first hand." James said

"No I don't have my aura unlocked; only one person on the team does." Ghost said as he looked to Greenhorn
Everyone looked at him as he was playing with his knife and he looked up "what?" He asked

"Dude you went in with a pistol and a knife and walked out with more kills than me." Ghost said

Back on Kuo Kuina Blake and Sun sat on the balcony
"So…you weren't really going to tell me we're you?" Sun asked
Blake took a deep breath and looked at the stars in the clear sky "no no I wasn't…you may be angry at me Sun but the fact is the information is need to know…and we'll…several times the things we've done together…usually they fall apart because."

Sun looked at the sky seriously "Me and Neptune fucked up the night with the Paladin, we nearly screwed up the beech in vale Heck most of the actual attack we were stuck in the middle of it and we were helpless civilians. The fact is I still want to help." He said

It took a few moments to realize their hands were touching forcing them to pull away both blushing and turning away

Sun smiled as he watched from the sides as they talked he felt kinda awkward but overtime it just drifted into the background as he watched the stars.
"How they going then?" Adam said as he walked over to sun holding two cans of beer.
"There still chatting…apparently they haven't seen each other in a while." Sun said
Adam nodded "sense she left the white fang basically." Adam said as he handed Sun a beer.
Sun grabbed it and sat up "you know I'd never think I'd ever be having a beer with a previous enemy turned friend." He said

That was back when we were a thing… now though…even if I can't be with her I still just want her to be happy." Adam said watching Blake laugh as Illia told her a joke.
Adams smile grew ever bigger before it dropped as he turned to sun.
"What about you? You got someone you're interested in?" he asked
"Honestly no not really. I mean there is Blake she's cool…but I honestly don't think she sees me as something like that just as someone to lean on in a tough time… and honestly… I'm completely fine with that." Sun said
Adam nodded "the mark to know you love someone. That your willing to give up your happiness to make sure they are happy, because seeing them happy makes you happy." Adam said
Sun looked at Adam "that was almost…poetic…" sun said
Adam scoffed and make a very bad haiku making Sun laugh making the Girls look over and started to walk towards them. "oh gods please tell me you don't say that joke in public?" Sun asked

The next day mostly everyone felt well rested felt rested. Ruby twice as much seeing as they had wonderful sex last night so could not complain at all.
Guts on the other hand looked like he was dead. Crashing into nearly everything and taking numerous rest stops everyone was getting worried about him…
As they headed down the road they found a stop of the road.
"Jeez I'm tired…" Jaune said

"Yea unlike some people?" Nora narrowed her eyes at Ruby and Guts
Ruby however bit back "oh shove off both of you had the entire trip to this point to bang each other but now that I get mine it's suddenly a point of contention." Ruby rolled her eyes
"Yea well we don't bang in front of our uncle?" Jaune countered
"To be fair I was dead asleep and heard nothing so I consider that invalid." Qrow said

"Look just move on from this experience and when we get to Mistral or any other town we order 3 rooms." Ruby said
"Ok but umm what about this?" Pyrrha said as she sees a fork in the road up ahead
"That's strange it's not on the map." Jaune said
"Jaune that map was outdated two years ago…" Pyrrha said looking at the date

Ruby looked up worried "What is it?"
They approach the fork in the road with a signpost. They are coming from the direction of Higanbana. Kuchinashi and Mistral are to the right, where the land is mountainous. To the left is Kuroyuri, its name crossed out. The path that way remains low ground.
Nora smiled and pointed "Hey, hey! Mistral! We're on the right path! Oh…"
Ruby who stayed close to Guts who was just so tired from lack of sleep… "Does it say how close?!"
Ren shook his head "No. And it looks like the path takes us up the mountains."
"I don't think all of us can make that…" Nora looked at Guts even if she was angry at Guts for keeping them awake from there loud sex. Guts is still a pretty powerful fighter.
"Guys I'm…I'm fine we can press on…" Guts slumped down
Ruby checked his pulse
"He's very weak now…" she said worried
Qrow looked down at him
"He's fucking exhausted." He said looked at the sign.
"I believe this is the way to mistral. But I also believe that this way the city on here is closer." Qrow said
"Okay. Well, what about this place?" She pointed "Kuro... Kuroyuri? Can we get help there?"
Jaune approaches with Pyrrha who checked on Guts.
Ren shook his head "That village was destroyed years ago."
"But if it takes us around the mountains, it's the best bet we've got."
Rena hook his head "It will take too long!"
Ruby stepped forward. We don't need the town to have a doctor, just a bed right? Maybe we could scavenge for medicine! And a place to sleep we don't need to stay long just until Guts gets his wind back." Ruby said
Jaune nodded Right!
Ren closes his eyes, lowering his head and shaking it
"We're not going to find anything! We just have to press on!"
There is just a brief moment of silence. Ruby watches him, clutching her hands before her chest.
Jaune was shocked "Ren, why are you acting—."
Nora cut Jaune off and coming up beside Ren "We can split up." She said
Ruby "Huh?"
Nora put her hand on Ren's shoulder "Ren and I can cut through the mountains while You, Pyrrha and Ruby take Guts around through the village." She said
"I can fly with you as well. I may be able to get to Mistral faster and give them our alert they can come for us make it easier for Guts." Qrow said
Jaune shook his head "No, we're supposed to stick together! We keep each other safe!"
Pyrrha looked up "Jaune!"
Ruby and the others looked back and noticed Guts was getting paler a lot paler by the second.
Nora shook her head "We don't have time for safe! If any of us make it to Mistral, we'll bring back help! If we don't, at least we'll have a better view of the land! Up there, we can see if there's somewhere else we can go!" She said
Qrow nodded she didn't like how these kids were avoiding the town but at the same time recognized previous trauma so didn't push.
Ren turns and looks at Nora. They exchange small, affectionate smiles. Still holding his gaze, Nora drops her hand from his shoulder. All four remain silent, feeling the weight of the choice before them. Qrow coughs, making them all turn in concern and giving the motive to continue.
Jaune looks at Ruby before turning to Nora and Ren.
Jaune sighed and nods reluctantly "OK."
Jaune steps forward and he and Ren hug each other.
"Just take care of each other."
Nora smilied at Ren "We always have."
Ruby turned to Qrow "keep them safe…"
Qrow nodded silently
On the path to Kuroyuri, Jaune and Ruby with help from Pyrrha using her semblance lift Guts. They turn to Nora and Ren, who are on the path through the mountains to Mistral. They nod and Nora waves. Ren starts to turn, looks back one more time, and then runs. Nora follows. Qrow following silently.
At the same Time, Oscar Pine is looking back at his farm… "I can't believe you convinced me to do this…" he said
"I know…and I'm sorry…" Ozpin said
"Don't be… I have a feeling you've been a lot more forthcoming than most…I know you talked about something in a similar situation like you and that he changed your perspective on the incident. But still I have a feeling that if he wasn't involved you wouldn't have said anything not really." Oscar said
"…your right…it is because of Guts…and to be fair he's had a harder life than me…and that just wants me to help him more…" Ozpin said
They reach a train station. It has begun storming, and Oscar hurries to the covered platform, holding his hands over his head. When he gets there, he walks up to a large machine with a screen on it, which reads:
"Welcome! :Scan Lien to begin."
He rests a Lien card against a scanner. The screen displays an error message that reads:
"ERROR Unable to complete request. REASON GIVEN: Insufficient Funds (Code: 726)"
Oscar grits his teeth "Stupid thing. I'm assuming whatever weird magic this is doesn't come with an infinite supply of money?"
Ozpin sighed "I'm afraid you'll have to solve this one on your own."
Oscar suddenly becomes more alert.
Oscar looked over "Huh?"
Ozpin whispered in a hushed tone "Be on your guard."
Oscar whispered "What do you mean?"
The view slowly pans to the left, moving out from beside the machine. Soon, Hazel Rainart, who is walking toward Oscar, becomes visible.
Hazel spoke up "Here."
Oscar turns his attention to Hazel, who continues to approach him. Hazel stops near the machine and raises up his fist. In response, Oscar flinches away and widens his eyes, uttering a small noise. Hazel then slams his fist down on the machine, which beeps and makes the sound of dispensing paper, while Oscar straightens up and stares. As Hazel moves his fist, the machine spits out a small ticket. While Hazel walks away, Oscar picks the ticket up and then looks at him. Hazel then stops and looks back at him.
"Don't let such a small obstacle block your path."
He resumes on his way, while Oscar watches.
Oscar looked up In concealed horror "That man. I felt... Who is he?"
A train horn is heard in the distance.
"Someone from my past. Someone who should not be taken lightly." He said
Hazel stood on another side of the platform. He had chased Adam Taraus all the way from Vale to here. The worst part is none of the white fang bases knew anything of where he was. Heck many of them were stripped down empty with only a few with cork boards saying "missions taken with local Huntsman! If none are available patrol the streets and fight the Grimm to retake the city"
(Ruby, Pyrrha, Jaune & Guts)
The four reached the city and looked around A cracked signed bearing the name Kuroyuri rests against ruins. The looked around the dilapidated village. Ruby Rose and Jaune Arc walk down the road, Pyrrha carryed Guts with her semblance. They pause and look unhappily around.
"Oh man." Jaune said
"Doesn't look like any of these are still standing enough to bear any weight…" Jaune said
"Ren really didn't want to come here did he…" Ruby said
"It did seem to look that way…" Jaune said
"Do you know why?" Ruby asked
Pyrrha and Jaune looked at each other
"Something like that…" he said
(Qrow, Ren & Nora.)
"You know I don't understand why you wanted to avoid that village like the plague… he said once they were out of earshot of Jaune and the others.
Nora glaired at Qrow "it's because you know nothing!" She said
"Nora…" Ren said calming her down making her turn shocked
"You're right he doesn't know…" he said
Ren looked up "let's keep moving but on the way I'll tell you…" he said
As they walked Ren talked
"That village… it was my home…" he said
"Oh…I'm sorry…" Qrow said
"It's also the story where we met." Nora said with a bitter smile as she grabbed Ren's hand.
Ren told the story about how we was getting Stuff for his father. When he found 3 boys bullying Nora.
"My father came up behind me before I saw him. And when I bumped into him he told me and taught me the biggest lesson that stuck with me. He said "Do you wish to run with the rest of them?"
I felt so guilty thinking he believed I had bullied Nora…" Ren said
"Ren…" Nora said sadly gripping his hand tighter.
"I didn't have the courage to say it then but the reason I was frozen then was because I thought you looked pretty…you looked like the most prettiest girl I had ever seen." He said
Nora was shocked
"B-but I was ugly back then…covered in dirt rotted out teeth from eating moldy food and-!" Nora was cut off by Ren who put a finger on her lips "I could have cared less about that Nora…I care even less now that I know you…" he said as he turned to Qrow.
"The lesson my father taught me was this… "Sometimes the worst action to take... is taking no action at all." He then told me to go home and he needed to speak to the mayor. About what I don't know." Ren nodded
Qrow shrugged "probably to tell him that a street rat was in the city. I don't know if you had an orphanage there or something but I know other villages would not have hesitated to kick Nora out of the streets…" he said "it's just the way it is…" he said
Ren and Nora nodded "then the worst and best thing happened… it's when we met for the first time." Nora said "however you probably won't see me the same way…" she said pushing past Ren's arguments
(Jaune, Ruby, Pyrrha and Guts)
Jaune walks up to Ruby in the ruins of Kuroyuri. Both are looking dejected.
Jaune shook his head. Nothing.
Ruby sighed and nodded We should get back to Guts.
Guts was leaned against a dead sakura tree, groaning. Though not conscious, Pyrrah holds a hand over his head with a wet cloth. Ruby crouched near his legs and Jaune standing over them both.
A creature makes a loud noise from off in the distance, causing both Ruby and Jaune to turn. Jaune's hand immediately goes to his sword and looks around for the source of the noise.
Ruby looks at Jaune "It's far off."
Jaune sighed "I know, but Ren, Nora and Qrow are still out there."
Ruby looks at Guts before standing and approaching Jaune.
"I'm sorry." She says
Jaune and pyrrha look up "Huh?"
They turns to face her, though she is not looking up.
Ruby looked down "This is all my fault. I should have never dragged you guys into this."
Jaune shook his head "You didn't drag us in. We wanted to come."
Ruby stood up "But you didn't know about Tyrian, about—." She started
Jaune cut her off "Ruby. We lost... We lost The lost just as hard, too. And Ozpin, and your team, and in a way… Guts. But you're still here, despite everything you've lost, everything you could still lose, you chose to come out here."
Ruby turns to face Jaune, and becomes emotional as he continues.
"Because you felt like you could make a difference."
She lifts her head and looks at him.
Jaune put a hand on her shoulder "You didn't drag us along. You gave us the courage to follow you."
"And it's a path we will gladly follow." Pyrrha said
They both put hands on either of her shoulders. She smiles at him, grateful, and they smile back.
( Nora, Ren and Qrow)
Nora sighed "I honestly don't remember exactly how I got to the village when I did. I just got there either woke up or outside the city…but I was there. I however wouldn't be surprised if I was a slave or something seeing as I remember several of my first clothes I had didn't fit that well." She said
"It did take quiet a long time for you to give me permission to give you physical contact."
"Nora nodded and heaved a sigh "the problem is I just don't physically remember…" she said
Ren put an arm on her shoulder giving her strength.
After I ran from the bullies I remember a lot more people filling the streets looking signs of my face on the buildings and people were looking over there shoulder apparently I heard one woman say "I hope that rabid girl doesn't spread any more plague like she did that other family."
Ren clenched his fists.
"I wouldn't be surprised if I was the cause for the Grimm attack on the town." She said
"Nora no! No don't say that you weren't!" Ren said
"You can't know that! You were in bed! But I was out there I noticed the fact as it got darker the footsteps became more frantic!" She gasped before she started to hug her legs.
Ren hugged her and looked to Qrow "as you guessed there was a grimm attack on that village. Everyone was either killed or taken. My father was killed. As was my mother…" Ren said
However that's when I unlocked my semblance. And physically met Nora for the first time. She was hiding under a building with a giant Nevermore pecking at the ground in front of her.
Ren explained how he met her under the building and she hugged him. Where he shared his semblance.
"And that's how we met." Ren said
Qrow nodded "Damn I'm sorry about kids." He said
"We're fine now…we've been with each other for a while…and I know there is no going back…" Ren said
"We just… keep moving forward… together…" Nora said
As they move on Qrow in bird form lands at the top of a rock face
Wind blows with the whistling note of high altitude as Ren walks the stony ledge. Qrow changes to human form Before them is more of the mountain, with a cave just ahead.
Ren spoke to Nora, as she comes up behind him "We never get the easy path, do we?"
Nora puts her hands behind her head "Easy's no fun anyway."
She drops her hands and turns to him.
"You OK?"
Ren nods "Mmm. And you?"
Nora put her head on his shoulder "I've got you here, don't I?"
Nora waved with her hand as she moves forward "Come on. There's more than one way up a mountain."
Ren watches her for a beat before smiling. Thunder rumbles and Ren loses the smile, turning to look up at the sky.
Nora points to a cave in the mountain "Hey! There's wind blowing out of this cave!"
Qrow looked confused as he and Ren came towards it
Qrow and Ren catch up to Nora. Leaves blow outward toward them.
Nora looked inside "Think it might lead to the peak?"
Ren shrugged "I suppose there's only one way to find ou—ah!"
He cuts off as a large piece of fabric abruptly blows out from the cave and covers his face. Nora giggles, covering her mouth with her hands, as Ren frees himself with help from Qrow "thanks he said before he turned to giggling Nora.
Ren sighed "Yes, yes. Very funny."
He looks down at the marked fabric in his hands and goes still. Nora lowers her hands and steps closer.
Nora looks to Ren "Hey, what's wrong?"
Ren looked closer "This is the symbol for Shion Village."
"What?" Qrow asked
Nora was shocked too "Shion? But that's... that's the village where we found the Huntsman. It's weeks away from here!"
Ren drops the fabric and runs into the cave.
Nora called after him "Ren! Wait!"
"Damn it, it could be dangerous!" Qrow hissed as they both followed
Ren stops once he is far enough into the cave to have a good look at what's there. Nora catches up to him and becomes alarmed at what she sees.
"Oh my gosh…" she said
"It's a massacre…" Qrow said
In the spacious area, weapons speckle every place you can look. Swords, axes and staffs are all either propped up or on the ground. Ren moves in and picks up an arrow. He studies it while Nora approaches just behind him. As she looks he also sees what's on the ground... the Nuckelavee hoofprint. It is pointed toward another opening on the opposite end of the cave.
Several trees are outside this opening, just below. One at a time, moving away from the cave where Ren can be soon looking out, the trees shake.
Ren shook his head "No…"
Before the two of them are the shaking trees and the abandoned village of Kuroyuri. Nora takes his hand and he returns the grip before the scene cuts to black. The Nuckelavee roars.
"Son of a bitch…" Qrow hissed
"We need to get back to the village." Ren said
(Salem)
Salem sat looking at the Beherit infront of her. She wanted it… she needed it… the temptation called to her… yet at the same time… it felt wrong.
She has felt magic before and this magic felt like magic she had felt when the brothers cursed her… and to accept that again just felt… wrong…
Salem clenched her fist and walked up to the broken window of the castle and threw the beherit as far as she could throw it. It bounced off different rock formations and out of her sight.
"Never again will I be manipulated by the gods." She said
Suddenly the door open and Femto flew in…
"Another Error in the timeline has occurred…Tryian Callows is dead…" He said
Salem grit her teeth.
"This is your fault, if you didn't insist on punishing your enemy here in my world!" She yelled
Suddenly Femto got up in her face.
"Don't snap at me just because things are not going your way… I can easily rectify them by taking you out of the picture." He said
"I am immortal!" Salem hissed
"No your not… you believe yourself to be…perhaps cursed by a powerful magic…but you're not unkillable." Femto said as he turned away.
"If I had sent Guts to any other world he would have caused even more havoc I sent him here because he was mitigated here…" Femto said
"Well fat lot of good that did!" Salem said
Femto brushed his chin
"Guts has always struggled against his fate ever sense the first time I've branded him… perhaps if I were to threaten the ones he cares about the most he'd be more likely to accept it…" Femto said as she flew out of the room. Leaving Salem alone…

Ironwood Explained Salem to everyone, the maiden's and magic. Everyone but Weiss and Winter were confused.
"Holy shit!" Clover gasped
"Someone…who can control the Grimm…that's dangerous." Greenhorn said

"The thing Ozpin told me…is the major thing Salem wants to do is divide us." He said

"They are playing right to her scheme." Winter said
James nods "until they are dealt with. We cannot approach Her." He said

"Actually Miss Schnee. Despite the fact you don't have extra training. Or anything Both Teams RWBY and JNPR are considered Spec ops. Infact your higher than just Spec ops. The ranks of those teams are technically considered Black's ops." The General said as he turned
"That goes for all of you as well… Salem is never to be spoken to in public until such time otherwise you risk firing squad from me personally… I'd promise to make as painless as possible but it's the only meet I can give…I'm sorry." He said
General looked to Weiss "Anything else?" He asked
"Yes sir but I can ask that later. I don't want us any farther behind schedule…" Weiss said
"General Ironwood smiled "in the elevator." He said

The gene therapy was successful rate of 5/9 which gave us the crop yield of just about 3 battalions."
3 battalions!" Clover gasped as they started to reach the floor of level 17.
"They were split up into one battalion each labeled Alpha, Beta, and Gamma Battalions respectively." James said
Greenhorn looked back "what of the washouts?"
James shook his head "there were none. If they survived Genetic implants they're here." He said
The elevator opened and they stepped out.
Each one looked just as old as Weiss
"ATTENTION!" The General snapped
There was a heavy clack as all three battalions snapped to attention
"At ease." General said before he explained what was going on.
Battalion Alpha will. Be led by A-1 Rich Dawn. His 2ic is A-23 Bliz Dust
Battalion Beta will be lead by B-17 Flora rice. Her 2ic will be B-400 Gram stencil.
And finally Battalion Gamma will be G-247 Victor bravo. His 2ic will be G-2140 fleece ma." General said
The rest of the Squad lineup is the same. Company commanders and local Squad commanders remain unchanged." He said
"Sir question." A battalion Commander said
"Go ahead." The General nodded
"We're missing a few members of Beta battalion. In fact I see one right behind you B-312."
The General Looked back to see Greenhorn standing looking uncomfortable.
"B-312 is was taken out of rotation due to exceptionalism which made him perfect for testing the operation you will be going through today. He is no longer to be considered under your command." The general said
B-17 nodded "very well good luck firend." He said
B-312 nodded in respect
"Battalions please approach your Pods." He said
The General watched as they moved as next to him Penny and her father approached in his walking chair.
"General Me and my daughter can oversee the results of you want to work with The Ace-ops." He said
James nodded
"Very well. Blue team. Ace ops Weiss follow me to the other side." He said as he walked away.
They walked to the other side of the elevator and saw a smaller room with 5 pods like before. And 7 pod like cells with a bed and a robot.
"Thanks to Several rigorous tests done we feel comfortable being able to genetically modify an Adults body without risk of rejection." Ironwood said
"Ok..what's expected of us?" Clover asked
"The Ace ops along with your new team member will proceed to genetic Modifications. get training for Project SENTINEL with your Auras already unlocked and your huntsmen training you just need to survive it." The General said
"What can we expect if our body rejects the modifications?" Weiss asked
The General looked at Weiss.
"Your body will feel like it's burning on the inside and you will physically not stop coughing until either your heart explodes or you successfully throw up your stomach in its entirety followed by your guts…" James said
Weiss nodded and looked around before she marched up into one on the pods and sat on the bed
"Weiss…" Winter gasped
Before she smiled and followed
The rest of the Ace ops did. As Blue team headed into the pods across the way.
"Now originally one of the modifications made accidentally was a reduction of sexual drive. This had several negative side effects in the fact it caused severe Mental instability: Marko. We've unable to figure out how to mitigate this, however we found an option that works just as well: we will boost your hormone count before the injection of the genetic material. Which will counter the reduction of the sex drive. This will be a bit unpleasant until the genetic material is added but I please urge you not to touch yourself while this is happening." The General said
With that the modifications began. As both parties underwent the procedure.
James watched as, Blue team had their Auras unlocked easily.
After 30 minutes the pods containing the Ace-ops and Weiss opened
Weiss looked at her
"I feel the same." She said
"It takes a bit to get used to." Ghost said before he threw a punch faster that the eye could see
However Weiss saw it as if he threw it in slow motion he saw his shoulder bunch up and all the muscles tense as it flew towards him.
Weiss leaned her head away and her arm up looping it around trapping it before delivering a swift punch to his elbow as it let off a sicking crack as she broke him arm.
"Argh!" Ghost screamed as he fell.
"Well there definitely SENTINEL's…" Greenhorn said
"Do you know how to activate your aura?" Weiss said
"A bit…" he said
"Straighten out your arm if you don't the bone won't set properly while your aura takes time to heal it." Weiss said
"She's right and seeing as SENTINEL already gives us increase healing you should be back on your feet in two minutes.
Infact two minutes later Ghost was back up as if nothing happened
"Dang this is a trip." Ghost said
Weiss smiled "my friend Guts said the same thing when he tried out his." She said
"Wait Guts?" Elsa asked
"The Blackswordsmen…" Weiss name dropped his moniker
"HOLY SHIT!" Everyone said impressed.
James Penny and her father came forward.
"Glad to see you all up." Now we have a job to do." He said
Everyone nodded
(Later)
"Wait what do you mean I'm not going?!" Weiss asked
James shook his head as he and Weiss had a private conversation in his office.
"We've been given news that Guts and the others are making there way to Mistral." James said
"Leo…" she said
"We can assume they are trying to get the relic out of him before he has a chance to give it to Salem." He said
"But?" Weiss asked
"But we've heard news that at the same time a summit meeting of the White Fang is also occurring nearby." James said
"Blake and Adam." Weiss said
"If they hear the news it's no doubt that team RWBY will be there for it. And any numbers of Salem's lackies too." James said
"They might not be able to stop them." Weiss said
"Not alone…" James said
"I see so your sending me." She said
James nodded "your mission is to reach Mistral as fast as possible link up with your team. And stop the relic from falling into enemy hands. Before making your way back to Atlas. Either from Argus or another way." James said
Weiss nodded "when your team gets here we will give them the same Genetic modifications as we have given you." He said
"Who do you suggest I go to first?" Weiss said
Intel suggest that Yang Xiao Long has Broken off from Ruby and JNPR and is making her way on her own." James said
"Ok I'll start there." She said
"Don't worry we will give you transport. As well as a new set of codes to get you out of danger." James said as Weiss looked at her scroll and saw her huntsman license pop up.
"G-General?!" Weiss asked
"I was going to give them to the rest of the two teams anyway. When they got here. I must ask don't spoil the surprise." He said with a wink.
Weiss nodded
Weiss arrived alone as the transport smuggler who counted the money.
"Alright I can do this but understand if we get stopped in throwing you over?" He said
"If we get stopped tell them you got passage from General Ironwood and the papers are right here." She said
He looked at the papers "priority one transport huh?" Well good enough for me get in." He said
The ship took off and started to fly.

Qrow Ren and Nora Valkyrie run through the abandoned Kuroyuri.
Ren hissed "Not again, not again…"
They come to a stop after passing under an arch leading to the center of town. Ren is panting, but Nora is hardly winded. Ren lifts his head and his worried eyes change to ones smiling in relief.
In front of them, Jaune Arc and Ruby Rose face the other way, but abruptly turn, Jaune putting his hand on his weapon. Guts is propped up against the tree. But weakly protests from Pyrrha nursing him.
Ruby stood up "What are you guys doing here?"
"Did you hear that noise? What was that?!" Jaune asked
Ren's eyes grow wide and he falls to his knees, clearly alarmed.
"No…"
Ruby looked at their friend panicked "Ren! What is it?!"
Pyrrha brushed Guts neck and looked at her hand before starting to rant "shit shit fuck Jaune a need a bandage Guts Is bleeding." She said
Ruby spun around "where?!" She asked
Her eyes snapped up in horror.
The brand… was dripping… it was dripping blood.
"No…" she gasped
The sound of plodding footsteps can be heard coming closer.
Jaune looked around "Wait, you guys hear that?"
Ren in weak protest shook his head "No…"
Nora looked over to ren "Ren?"
The footsteps come to a stop. A bone horse head breathes loudly, exhaling black smoke. Within the bones are glowing red lights and around it is the black flesh of a Grimm.
Ren lifts his head.
Weapons can be seen, stuck into an offscreen body that has bones sticking out perpendicular to its spine. Slowly, a torso raises, revealing a horned, humanoid Grimm. The horns and front part of the face are bone while the mouth is merely thin strips of Grimm flesh stretching across an opening. The mouth, the bones, and the eyes all glow red.
"It's here…" he said
"It's worse than that…" Ruby said glaring at the Nuckelavee
"Ruby?" Jaune asked
"Can't you feel it?" She asked
"Can't you use your eyes on it?" Jaune asked
Ruby shook her head
"No…it's an Apostle…"
The Nuckelavee twitches its head and roars.
The sounds of thunder and gunfire are heard against a black sky. A wide shot of Kuroyuri shows the empty, degraded town. A billowing cloud of dust and pieces of wood rise in the distance around the top of a tree that is barely visible above the town rooftops. Qrow Branwen, Jaune Arc, Ruby Rose, Pyrrah Nikos, Lie Ren and Nora Valkyrie all fall back by the dead cherry tree. Guts is still unconscious and propped against it.
The Nuckelavee comes into view, twitching its various body parts. It sends out a shockwave roar that causes all four teenagers to flinch. The Grimm looks at the teenagers and turns its head to look at Guts and begins running toward him.
Jaune sheaths his sword and makes a run for Guts. The Nuckelavee lashes out with one of its arms with a scream "I GOT YOU THIS TIME BLACKSWORDSMEN!"
able to extend it at a far reach. Jaune avoids it and gets Guts upright, but the Nuckelavee is heading right for them.
Ren uses his Semblance to hide Jaune and Guts from the Grimm, which stops short and looks about in confusion. Jaune stands still, staring at the Grimm. In shock
Ren looks up "Just get him to safety!"
Jaune and Pyrrah rush away with Guts while the battle resumes.
Ruby fires Crescent Rose "We got to keep it occupied! He'll be able to sniff Guts out easily unless we keep it distracted!" She said
They set Guts down behind a building and narrows his eyes at the wounded man before turning to leave. Guts grabs him by the hand, but falls unconscious before he can say anything. Jaune gives Guts another look before rejoining the fight.
The Grimm is using its arms to grab hold of each of Jaune's teammates, but is continually distracted by the fire of the next one.
Ruby panted "Damn it we're not hurting it!" She said
Ren panted "this one can't be the same one that attacked here all these years ago." He said
Nora looked at him "Your worried about that now?!" She asked
"I'm looking at the pattern trying to figure out a weakness.
"Coming through!" Pyrrha as she slid under a building and started to fire her rifle.
"Guys, keep moving, go in a circle!" Jaune said
They followed his orders as they attacked and moved believing the horse was not fast enough to turn around to keep track of all of them
However the Grimm spun around with his arms wide biting everyone down
Jaune was able to push himself off the ground with his shield and stab the beast with his sword.
"Argh! Damn foolish humans?!" The Apostle Nuckelavee said
"It can talk?!" Jaune asked
"It's an apostle I told you this!" Ruby said as she fired several rounds keeping it from sniffing around for Guts.
The Nuckelavee started to sniff around any ways
"Ah there you are…" he said
"Oh no!" Ruby gasped as the Nuckelavee started to walk away
"Heya!" Qrow yelled from ontop of the roof as he jumped down blocking its way
The Nuckelavee jumped back and landed unharmed
"Your not getting away that easily." Qrow said
The Nuckelavee roared "YOUR NOT STOPPING MY MEAL!" He roared as he charged. However he is stopped as Ren lands in front of Qrow and with Stormflower cuts the Nuckelavee in the neck. With a roar he sends Ren flying before he slammed him into building
"Ren!" Pyrrah called
"KID!" Qrow growled as he was unable to move or else give the apostle an opening to Guts.
Nora looked at ren then then to Ruby as the Nuckelavee pulled his other hand back
"Ruby!" She said
She nodded and started to swing Crescent rose as Nora jumped into it and went flying intercepting The attack.
Magnhild is pinned to the building above Ren, with Nora dangling from it.
Ren looks up at Nora.
Nora pulls her skirt and crosses her legs in the air to hide herself "Stop looking!"
Ren turned and covered his eyes "Ah-ugh."
Nora grins to herself.
Seeing the opportunity Pyrrha reacts as she uses her semblance to dislodge several of the swords and slam them into the pinned limbs.
"Yes!" Jaune cheered
The Nuckelavee roared letting out a piercing roar making all of them cover there ears.
And Pyrrah to lose focus of her semblance for the Apostle to escape
"Shit!" Jaune hissed as he sheathed his sword and drew his Greatsword
And charged
Ruby fired again as the Nuckelavee turned it threw Nora at Ruby sending then both flying and having a building fall on them
"NORA!" Ren said
Ren uses StormFlower to give himself leverage to pull the Nuckelavee hand off of him. He repeatedly goes after the creature, exhibiting reckless behavior, his eyes wild.
"REN KNOCK IT OFF!" Jaune called
"It's too late! he's too enraged!" Qrow called
Jaune hissed as Ren went flying like a ragdoll next to the two of them
"Damn it we can't hold it off with the 3 of us." Jaune said
Qrow nodded
"Keep it destructed I'll take Guts and go!" Qrow said
"It will be on you in less than five minutes!" Jaune argued
"Damn it it's the best change we have." Qrow said
Suddenly the house that fell exploded as Nora walked out angry. Ren along with her.
Ruby was still knocked out.
Pyrrah looked over to him "Ren. Jaune and I can take care of its arms."
Nora nodded "I'll take care of the horse."
Ren nodded "And I'll take care of the rest."
"What about me?" Qrow called
"Keep it from Screaming!" Pyrrha said as she used her semblance to grab the swords again
The Nuckelavee went to attempt to scream but Qrow shot it in the mouth making it gag.
"NOW!" Qrow yelled
Pyrrha used her semblance to dig the swords down and pin the arms it wasn't getting up again
As Nora freefalls from the roof to land a killing blow to the head of the horse. Ren retrieves his knife and walks before the trapped Grimm.
Ren in his thoughts thinks 'For my mother.'
As He cuts off the Grimm's left arm.
Ren thinks 'For my father.'
As He cuts off the Grimm's right arm.
Ren again thinks 'For all those that you've slain.'
He strikes a gash into the flailing torso.
Ren closes his eyes. Then says "For myself."
He opens his eyes and swings with the knife, beheading the grimm. It dies in a pillar of black smoke. Ren drops the knife and breathes out a sigh of relief only to be tackled by a giggling, triumphant Nora. He hugs her back and gives a single laugh. Before Nora leans in with a kiss.
Everyone smiles and looks as soon loud beeping is heard
In the courtyard two wood and metal airships are coming in to land; Nora points in Guts and Ruby's direction.
A man in a brown flight suit with an air tank on his back carries Guts on a green stretcher with Ruby on a red stretcher her hand in Guts while still unconscious .
The two rescue ships take off, everyone on board.
Jaune looked over "How did you find us out here?"
Mistral Pilot smiled "We were on patrol and saw the smoke. Nobody's been out here for years, thought something might be wrong."
Qrow crouched by Ruby and holding her shoulder "What if we don't make it in time?"
Jaune looked ahead "Qrow."
He looks up and sees the flourishing city before them. He smiled
"We made it, Ruby, Guts is going to be safe."
Nora and Ren sit on the edge of the open rescue airship, their legs dangling. Nora is looking out at the city, feeling happy. Ren is watching her, begins smiling and puts his hand on hers. She gives a slight start but turns her hand over to hold his. She looks at him and gives him a smile, and he smiles back.
Nora scoots closer and rests her head on his shoulder.
They land in the city and are taken to medical families facilities where Ruby is promptly awoken and Guts is told to get 2 full days bed rest before any strenuous activities. He says before glaring at Ruby who blushed causing the team to laugh.
They find a hotel and drop there stuff off as They get the rest needed.
Qrow and the others relax and play video games. As soon The door opens and Guts walks out. With Ruby in tow.
Later Qrow is about to head out with Ozpin's cane in hand. As Guts and Ruby the next room over are stripping themselves for a good fun night in bed kissing…
Oscar rides the train looking out at the Scenery around him

On a small table lies a tea set, with gray colored teapots and cups decorated with green accents. The view changes to reveal that Arthur Watts is sitting at the table together with Leonardo Lionheart. He picks up a tea cup and puts his feet up on the table.
Watts sighed "Why thank you, Professor. Salem always did say you were…" as he takes a sip "quite hospitable."
On Menagerie. Blake, Sun, Illia, we're talking in her fathers Study while Adam and Ghira were planning the meeting they were planning the best way to safe him if fighting were to break out.
"Is most likely that he will be unwilling to draw his sword on other white fang members should they come at him." Blake said
"So it will be up to us to incapacitate them before they reach him." Illia said
"Well with the Whip of yours you can tie up several of them." Sun said
Illia nodded
"And I'll bring the cookies!" Kali said
The three broke apart in shock "mom?!" Blake asked Kali laughed
"Oh just dear while your plan to keep your friend safe is admirable. Your father already has a plan for it." She said
"Wait, he does?" Sun asked
"Yes so you don't have to worry about." Kali said
"So…what is his plan?" Illia asked
Kali rolled her eyes "why label him as the honored Guest obliviously."
They looked at each other "we were so over complicating things!?" Blake moaned
"Ugh!" Sun moaned
Down stairs Adam and Ghira were sipping tea when suddenly banging was heard from up stairs "gee I hope Blake and her firends are ok they are getting kinda loud up there." He said
"It's fine Chief they were just planning secretly a way to protect me in case the meeting went awry." Adam said incareing
"Secretly but why?" Ghira asked
Adam put his cup down "I understand that the idea is not unfounded or without reasoning. But essentially…seeing as I was saying when we first met again that I'd be willing to die to prove the loyalty to the cause again they believed I was referring to the meeting with Kahn."
Ghira shook his head "but that's absurd?!" He said
"To us…because we know Sienna and know that there is a likelihood for things to turn violent unless we do things very carefully…but let us remember Blake and even Illia don't have a lot of contact with Sienna only seeing her when you stepped down and she was very regal then. I've tried my best to keep Illia as far away from Khan Since day one." Adam said
Ghira nodded "Hmm now that you say it that does make sense… I guess we should go over procedures with them just so they know what to expect." He said
"And when it's reasonable to draw your weapon for what possible reasons." Adam said
Ghira nodded and took another sip "I really do enjoy this black tea…" he said.
