(Last time)

Yang puts her hand on the back of Weiss' head and hugs back The two girls sigh "it's fine…but there is a lot to talk about." Weiss said

Yang nodded "indeed we do Weiss."

[ Now]

Rain is heard pouring outside. Qrow Branwen opens up a sliding door leading into a small restaurant. A man can be seen sleeping at a table in the corner, while the Ramen Shop Owner stands behind the counter sharpening his kitchen knife on a wood block. Qrow walks up to the owner, who is still paying attention to sharpening his knife.

Ramen Shop Owner asked "Regular? Or the Special?"

Qrow sat down "I'm actually looking for someone, goes by the name Shiro Wan. Ever heard of him? I heard he's a regular around here."

Ramen Shop Owner tensed up "Who's asking?"

Qrow put his hands up "Hey, I'm not some cop if that's what you mean. I need Shiro for a gig. We go way back."

Ramen Shop Owner nods "Way back, huh?" looking up at Qrow "So, he's a friend of yours.?"

Qrow rubbed his chin "Hm, yeah, I'd say so. He's a pretty alright guy."

Ramen Shop Owner nodded "Well, in that case…" suddenly, his tone turns hostile, pointing his knife threateningly at Qrow "You tell that jerk that he better not show his ugly face in here until he pays me the Lien he owes me!"

Qrow jumps taken aback "Uh, did I say friend?" He nervously chuckles "I, uh- I meant acquaintance."

The owner angrily slams his knife into the counter.

Qrow slowly backs away "Really, we're just colleagues!" He nervously chuckles "Anyways, thanks for your time, buddy. I'll just be taking off now."

Qrow exits the restaurant, quickly closing the sliding door. He quickly turns around, leaning against the door. He takes a drink from his flask before pulling out his scroll, which has a list of "CONTACTS"

Qrow sighed "Great start."

The rest of the search occurred much in the similar fashion. With everyone either missing. Or not been heard of sense they left. Qrow got more and more depressed. Not getting anywhere.

After a while, Qrow goes back into the restaurant from earlier. The owner has more wood carvings on his counter now. He notices Qrow walk in.

Ramen Shop Owner growls "You've got a lot of nerve showing up back here, unless you've brought that idiot with you."

Qrow slumped "How much did Shiro owe you?"

Ramen Shop Owner looked noticing Qrow's somber expression "Well, I'd say about... 16,000 Lien."

Qrow tosses a Lien note, which clatters softly on the surface of the bar.

Ramen Shop Owner recoiled "Wait, what? Man, you must be in some serious trouble with him if you're paying me off."

Qrow sighed as he said "His name is clear."

Ramen Shop Owner frowning "Yeah." Qrow starts to leave again, and the owner returns to his carving shearing his head "That idiot…"

Qrow opens the door "Yeah…"

(Scene break)

At the Branwen Tribe camp, Vernal pours cups of tea for Raven Branwen, Yang Xiao Long, and Weiss Schnee. They are all inside Raven's tent with the latter three seated around a table.

Raven turned to Vernal " You can wait outside. Thank you."

Vernal leaves

Yang looked at her mom "So, what's the "truth"?" She asked

Raven took a sip from her cup "You know, it's better when it's hot."

Weiss glaired at Raven "You know, you're really obnoxious."

Raven smiled "The truth is that "truth" is hard to come by. A story of victory for one person is a story of defeat for someone else. By now, your uncle has surely told Ruby and her friends plenty of stories."

Yang rolled her eyes "Well, he's never given me a reason to doubt him before…unlike someone." She said

Raven rolled her eyes "That doesn't mean those reasons don't exist." Yang glares at her "You know, you and your teammates might as well be the poster children for the Huntsman Academies. Your motives vary, but you all enrolled to try and make the world a better place. It's adorable."

Yang shrugged "It's what Huntsmen and Huntresses do."

Raven scoffed "Not all of them. Some people are just in it for the money and the fame, but there's even more that are just looking to grow stronger. Your Uncle Qrow and I didn't attend Beacon to become Huntsmen, we did it to learn how to kill Huntsmen."

Yang and Weiss gasp at this, exchanging a brief look with each other.

Raven scoffed "Daddy and Uncle left that part out, hm?" She begins to pour more tea for herself "Aside from the Grimm, Huntsmen were the only ones capable of ruining our raids and hunting us down. Our tribe needed a counterforce." As she takes another sip "And Qrow and I were the perfect age." She stood up "The entrance exams were child's play compared to what we'd already been through. We were good. So good, that we caught the attention of Beacon's very own Headmaster, Professor Ozpin. Even after we were put on a team, I could tell he was keeping his eye on us. Back then, I thought it was because he knew, but it was Team STRQ he was interested in."

Yang looked odd at her "What do you mean by that?"

Raven rolled her eyes "Constant attention, extra training missions, turning a blind eye whenever we happened to break the rules and get into more trouble than we should've. Sound familiar?"

Yang and Weiss share another glance at each other. Weiss gestures Yang to keep going.

Yang glaired at her mother "What's your point?"

Raven sighed "How much do you know about Professor Ozpin? About his past?"

Weiss sighed "if you talking about Salem you can save your breath. And the maiden's." Yang said

Raven growled as she looked down "still doesn't mean Ozpin should be trusted." She said

"Don't think I don't understand your warning I've seen signs…but I'm not following you. Once you found out about this and you couldn't convince your team you ran. And that led to my mother being killed." Yang said

Raven snarled "I am your mother!" She said

Yang sat with her arms crossed "no…my mother was the woman who took care of me. Someone who cared for me. Summer rose was my mother. You just birthed me." Yang said

Raven clenched her fist as she looked down. Summer always had to be better than her and not realize it. Now she stole her kid as well.

"You will take me to Qrow and Ruby. And don't try to give us the fake choice of trying to learn how your magic Ozpin gifted you as a punishment. Qrow told me if you really wanted to Oz would gladly accept the magic back. After all he could actually use it to do important shit." Yang huffed and turned away.

"I'm going to bring my bike in and I'll be staying here until you make a portal to Qrow." Yang said as she left.

Once Yang came back Raven addressed them

"Yang." She said as she cut the air with Omen.

"You can go back to Qrow and join Ozpin's impossible war against Salem, and meet the same fate as so many others. But can you really go back to trusting someone that's kept so much from you?

Weiss looked at Yang who just glares at her mother.

Yang smiled "All I care about is making sure my sister is safe."

Raven rolled her eyes dissatisfied with Yang's response "Ugh…"

Yang and Weiss are riding on Bumblebee. However, before they can enter the portal, Raven addresses her daughter one more time.

"Yang. If you side with your uncle, I may not be as kind the next time we meet…"

Weiss rolls her eyes and looks ahead.

Yang didn't even turn around "You weren't kind this time either."

Yang and Weiss proceed through the portal on Bumblebee. The portal then disappears.

Raven sighed "I know…"

Back in Mistral, Qrow is seen leaning against a stone railing.

Qrow shook his head "This isn't right. I get one or two of them, but... all of them?"

Qrow sighs and hangs his head in disappointment. Suddenly, he hears the sound of Raven's portal behind him.

Qrow turned around hopeful "Raven?"

The sound of a motorcycle is heard coming from the portal.

Qrow surprised "Oh."

Back at the house Team R-JNPR is staying at, each of the members are helping prepare dinner: Ruby Rose and Lie Ren are cooking at the stove, Jaune Arc is setting up the table with Pyrrah doing silverware, and Nora Valkyrie is cutting carrots, occasionally eating slices.

Ren looked to Ruby "Alright, the first batch is just about done."

Ruby nodded "Awesome! Now we just need Qrow and we'll be all set."

Nora looked still eating carrots. "Do you really think he's gonna bring that many people? This is a lot of food." As she eats another carrot slice.

Ruby looks at the food "Uh, Guts is with us…" she argued

Nora shrugged "Okay fare."

"Where is Guts anyway?" Pyrrha asked

"With Oscar." Ruby said

Qrow called from the door "I'm back!"

Ruby called "Be right there!"

Ren looked at Ruby "You're going to overcook that."

Ruby looked back at him "No I'm not, shut up!"

Qrow called again "Hey, uh, Ruby?"

Ruby looked back "I'm coming!"

Some smoke comes from the pan Ruby is cooking with.

Ruby sighed as she looked to Ren and Handed it over "Fine! You take over."

Ruby grabs the tea tray and heads to the living room while Ren helps cook the pan.

Ruby was looking at the tea tray "So, we didn't know how many people were coming, so we just cooked all of it."

She looks up, and gasps as she drops the tea tray and its contents, which shatter on the floor. She stares in disbelief at the sight of not only Qrow, but of her older sister Yang and teammate Weiss. Yang approaches her little sister.

Ruby's voice cracked at the sight of both of them "Yang, I...holy crap how did find us so quickly!" She asked

Suddenly, her big sister gives her a strong hug. Ruby's lips quiver, and she looks toward her sister.

"I love you." Yang said tears stream from her eyes

Ruby sobs as she leans into her sister's hug.

"I love you too."

Jaune, Ren and Nora enter the room, smiling at the sight of the two sisters embracing each other. Qrow smiles as well. Oscar Pine and Guts enters the room.

Oscar was confused "Uh…"

Guts put a hand on his shoulder "let them enjoy the moment."

They look up, seeing Ruby and Yang hugging, and smiles. Weiss smiles as she wipes a tear from her eye, before frowning while looking down.

Ruby smiled "Weiss."

Weiss looks up, and sees the two sisters open their arms up for her. She smiles and eagerly joins them in their hug. Everyone smiles as they watch three of the four Team RWBY members embrace each other

(Scene break)

The dinner table is abuzz as the currently present members of Team RWBY and the members of Team JNPR all talk over each other indistinctly. The mood is quite cheery, with the children all smiling and laughing.

Yang laughs to Jaune "How do you lose your map at a time like that?"

Jaune shook his head "Believe me, I've asked myself the same thing ever since."

Yang, Weiss, and Ruby laugh, while Jaune smiles and giggles sheepishly. Pyrrha giggled as well "it's why I had to stay back each time to pick it up.

Nora elbowed Jaune "Hey, but you made up for it, Mister Muscles! You shoulda seen this guy take a giant Grimm head on!"

Jaune shook his head "I couldn't have done it without Ruby wearing it down."

Ruby shook her head "Uh, me? Did you see Ren during that fight? He was out of control!

Ren looked down "I'm sorry, I may have lost my temper momentarily."

Ruby shook her head "No, no! Out of control as in "awesome"! She explained

Ren finally got it "Oooohhh." He smiles at her "Thank you."

Everyone at the table bursts into laughter.

As dinner continues, Weiss tells her story about how she accidentally summoned a Boarbatusk during the Schnee charity ball.

Ruby gasps "You did not!"

Weiss has her face in her hands.

Weiss nodded "Yeah, right in the middle of the party."

Yang shook her head "Please tell me you let that lady have it?"

Weiss glaired at Yang "Of course not! Even if I did really want to."

Nora sat back crossing her arms, skeptical. "No way, I don't believe it."

Weiss summons her Boarbatusk right next to Nora. The Grimm summon growls, causing Nora to yelp and fall to her side. Weiss, Yang, Jaune and Ren all laugh.

"There's other things I need to tell you too. After we're finished here in mistral we are all heading to Atlas." She said

"Atlas…why?" Nora asked

"I can't explain now but in passing we're getting a powerboost." Weiss said

Everyone was confused

As dinner nearly finishes, everyone is thinking on the final things Weiss was saying

Jaune was hyped "That's amazing!"

Ren nodded "Incredible."

Ruby gets all starry-eyed and quickly zooms over to her Partner side to try to get her to spill on the secret but she remains firm

"Come on Weiss come on what is it?" Ruby said

Weiss turned away. "Nope not telling." She said

"Oh we'll get it out of you some how…" Ruby said as she wiggled her fingers in a tickle motion

Weiss gulped knowing she couldn't stand up to that but she did have another key.

"Ruby I physically can't if I do I risk facing a firing squad for spilling secrets…" she said

It was a lie James told her that only talking about Salem in public would result in firing squad. But they didn't have to know that…"

The members eager to tickle Weiss deflated

"Oh ok fine." Ruby said

Later on, Jaune helps clean up the dishes.

Jaune sighed "Gyah... We ate it all…" he picks up the pot holding all the bowls "Oh, I think I'm gonna be sick…"

Yang smiled at him "Easy there, Vomit Boy, I believe in you."

Jaune rolled his eyes "Oh, we're doing nickname throwbacks now. Wonderful." He walks away with the dishware in his hands

Weiss giggles.

Nora jumped in on the action "I mean, the Ice Queen seems to like it."

Weiss stops giggling, and Ruby bursts into laughter at Nora's remark. Weiss smiles nonetheless.

Weiss rolls her eyes "I so did not miss you people."

Nora gasps "Oh my gosh, she really does like it! What went and warmed your heart while you were gone?"

Weiss turned to her "Hey! You make it sound like I used to be terrible."

Yang nudged her "Nah. Just a lot to deal with it once."

Weiss turned away "Hmph!"

Yang playfully sticks her tongue out at Weiss.

Ren always the sage spoke deeply "It's been a long time. We've all grown in our own ways."

Ruby turned to ren Tilting her head "You really think so?"

Ren nodded "Well, think back to when we were all at Beacon, would you say you ever did anything foolish or embarrassing? Or do you think you were perfect?"

Weiss hid her embarrassment "Oh gosh." she buries her face in her hands again.

Yang shrugged "I may have been a little too gung-ho from time to time."

Ruby laughed in self resentment "Heh, you? I tried to 1v1 a Nevermore on the second day of school."

Jaune walked back into the room scoffing "Yeah, well... don't even get me started."

Ren smiled "Well that embarrassment - that desire to go back and tell yourself not to be so stupid - that just proves you're not the same person you used to be. You're smarter, you're kinder, you're stronger, and you're not done growing yet. None of us are."

There is silence for a brief moment.

Ruby looks at Weiss and Yang "Yeah, turns out Ren gets real deep when he feels like talking."

Everyone giggles.

Nora jumps up "Well, hold on, I thought I was pretty great in school!"

Yang stepped forward "Even at the dance? When you spilled punch all over yourself in front of-."

Nora started to yell over her to avoid embarrassing herself "Yes, especially the dance! Thank you, Yang!"

Yang covers her ears from Nora's yelling, who has her scroll out playing "Shine". Ruby laughs.

Qrow groaned form the other room "How can six kids possibly make so much noise eating dinner?!"

Qrow Oscar and Guts are seen standing next to Jaune. Nora presses her scroll to stop the song. Oscar gives a small laugh.

(At the same time)

Guts sat down on the couch as Oscar and Qrow sighed as Guts served them the rest of Guts lamb stew from before.

"So we didn't get anyone from Mistral but we got two full teams of huntsman." Guts said

"Nearly…Blake is still out there." Qrow said

"Guts nodded "as I hear it isn't the White Fang meeting being held in Mistral as well?" Guts asked

Qrow and Oscar paused and looked at each other

"Did you plan this?" Oscar asked

Guts shook his head

"No it's just how the chips fell. It's good though as we can get the backup of the white fang to help us." He said

Qrow took a sip from his soup "This is really good." He said

Oscar nodded "Yes the lamb is really good." He said

"I'm curious as to where you found the lamb to be used?" Qrow asked

Guts shrugged "A farmer had an injured one that couldn't be transported. He was old and couldn't lift it so I took it for a premium." Guts said

Oscar and Qrow looked at each other "so you…slaughtered it…here?" Qrow said

"I made sure to cover every surface to protect the bathroom from splatter." Guts said

"So it's…in the bathtub." Oscar said

Guts shrugged "I didn't have time to package it up yet for storage I'll do that once I finish…" Guts said

Unseen behind him Weiss got up from the table to use the bathroom. And Let out a bloodcurdling scream.

Guts spun around as Ruby and Yang and Jaune ran over

"W-WHY IS THERE A DEMONS ENTRAILS IN THE SHOWER?!" Weiss groaned

"Demon?" Yang asked excited after hearing the story of Ruby taking on the apostle she wanted to have a go.

"ENTRALS?!" Ruby asked confused about how it snuck in without them knowing…

"Yea look!" Weiss pointed behind her to the shower.

The girls blinked and Then started to laugh.

"Oh my gods, Weiss that's no demon!" Ruby cried

"Yea it's a sheep!" Yang laughed

Weiss turned around embarrassed before she too started to laugh "ok ok fair enough. But the question remains…how did it get there?" She asked

"I'm afraid that's on me." Guts said as he walked up.

"A farmer had an injured lamb so I bought it and killed it for a part of tonight's supper I didn't expect someone would go into the bathroom so I didn't bother to dress it or package it for travel yet." Guts said

Weiss nodded "very well it's fine sorry to get you up I'll go to the bathroom upstairs. Take your time to package it. It just startled me." Weiss said

Guts nodded as Weiss walked away.

Jaune and the others looked to Guts "your scairy you know that?" He asked

Guts shrugged as he started to prepare the lamb for traveling.

Finally the group started to meet in the living room where Yang and Weiss explained what occurred in the camp.

Weiss "So, it's believed the Spring Maiden. Is located in the Branwen camp?" Weiss said

Qrow nodded "Uh-huh."

Ozpin turned to Yang "Miss Xiao Long, is this more or less what your mother told you or what you could explain as for what happened in the camp?"

Yang doesn't respond, still having her arms crossed. Weiss answers for her.

Weiss nodded "For the most part…we never got a good image of the maiden actually using her powers. But we believe it's her second in command."

Yang nodded "more like enforcer. Also You forgot something. You forgot to tell everyone what you did to Qrow and my mother."

Ruby tilted her head "there's something else?"

Guts tilted his head with a glare "Ozpin?"

Jaune also looked "What is she talking about?"

Qrow rolled his eyes "Oh, great."

Ozpin nodded "Hm, that's not a secret I thought she would give up so easily. Your mother must trust you a great deal… however no that something that I told you about before."

Yang scowls at him.

Ozpin sighed "however I will explain it again My ability to reincarnate, though a curse, isn't without a few key benefits. Much like the Maidens, I too possess a certain... "magical" power." He stands up and walks next to Qrow "Using this power, I was able to gift the Branwen twins the ability to "see" more, to move freely and be unburdened by their natural bodies. I... well... gave them the ability to turn into birds. He chuckled "Rather ridiculous sounding out loud, isn't it?"

Oscar mentally "Wait, what?"

Ruby "Uncle…tell me can he take the power back?" She asked

Qrow nodded

Ren looked at him "You turned them... into birds."

Nora rolled her eyes "Alright, now you're just messing with us."

Jaune looked away "What else is new guts we seen it when we were fighting the Nuckelavee." He said

"Oh right…how did we forget that heck he was with us when we climbed the mountain." Nora said

Qrow nodded "magic and other out worldly incidents usually filter themselves out of there mind you have to train yourself to remember them…isn't that right Guts?" Qrow asked

Guts nodded he had calmed down after realizing that this wasn't something he hid from them.

Yang was angry at the absurdity to Ozpin "Why would you do something like that? I mean, what is wrong with you?"

Qrow cut her off "Yang, that's enough! We made a choice. We wanted this."

Yang relents. "Wanted…?" She asked

Ozpin turned to Qrow "May I?" Qrow nods "Granting this power to them was no trivial task, and I can assure you it was not done frivolously. I required assistance in gathering information on Salem's plans, as well as searching for Maidens when their hosts became unclear."

Ruby sat down "Okay, so, have you done this with others? Like General Ironwood? Or Professor Goodwitch?"

Ozpin shook his head "As helpful as that might be, unfortunately, it is not that simple. My power is finite, and if I'm being honest, dwindling. The amount that I gifted to Qrow and Raven was, all things considered, rather miniscule. You see, centuries ago, I sacrificed a great deal of magic to four young women, who I hoped would use my gift for good. They were the first Maidens." everyone is silent for a moment "Miss Xiao Long, it was never my intention to lie to you. To any of you. There are just some matters that I prefer to... "play close to the chest". I believe that's how you phrased it?" He said looking to Qrow.

Qrow chuckled and nodded "Yeah."

Ozpin addressed everyone "Everyone has a choice. The Branwens chose to accept their powers and the responsibilities that came with them. And later, one of them chose to abandon her duties in favor of her own self-interest. Now, all of you have a choice. If anyone wishes to leave, now is the time. There's no shame or disgrace in abstaining, only in retreat."

Everyone is silent as they ponder Ozpin's words.

Ozpin smiled "Very well, then Guts-." Ozpin was cut off as Yang suddenly stands up.

Ruby looked at her sister "Yang?"

Yang sighed "If Ruby sticks around, then I will too. If there's one thing I know about her, it's that she somehow always knows the right thing to do." Yang smiles at Ruby after saying that "But, if we're going to help, if we're going to keep risking our lives, no more lies. No more half-truths."

"That goes for double for me Old man." Guts said standing up

"I've face a bunch of manipulative men in my days. And each one has erkd me just as every other…if I find out your holding back on something crucial I will kill you. And I won't hesitate to leave and I'll kill anyone else you send after me to get me to rejoin your cause." Guts said

Ruby stepped forward "both of us will." She said harshly.

Everyone remains silent. Ozpin and Qrow exchange a brief look with each other. Ozpin ponders the three's words for one last moment, before responding.

Ozpin smiled and nodded "Understood."

All three sit back down.

Jaune sighed "So... what now? I mean, what can we do?"

Ozpin pondered "Mm, that is a difficult question. One that I believe is best answered tomorrow."

Jaune looked startled "What do you mean?"

Ozpin nodded "The road ahead is undoubtedly filled with hardships and peril. However, it's been far too long since you have all been together." he puts his hand on Yang's shoulder and winks "Please, take tonight, enjoy this moment." Yang smiles realizing where this is going.

Suddenly Oscar's eyes glow, with Ozpin giving him control back to his body. Oscar realizes he has his hand on Yang's shoulder

Oscar screeches "Geh!" As he quickly takes off his hand and nervously holds his cane in his hand."

Yang and Weiss laugh at him, before hearing a noise from Nora.

Nora suddenly realizing "Oooohhh. Raven? Qrow? They're birds! Cracked it!"

Ren shakes his head at Nora being slow on the uptake.

(Scene break)

At the Branwen Tribe camp's entrance, Shay D. Mann and two other bandits stand guard, conversing with each other. Suddenly, a voice calls out from the forest.

Mercury stepped out "Hey ugly!"

With Shay and the bandits' attention drawn, Mercury Black and Emerald Sustrai walk out from the forest toward the camp's entrance.

Emerald spoke up "Is Raven Branwen home?"

Shay sighed "Ya know, I've had a real bad week. So I think I'm gonna take it out on you-."

Shay stops mid-sentence when he notices Arthur Watts walk out of the forest and joins the two of them.

Mercury gruffs "Hmph, doesn't look like he wants to cooperate, Boss."

Arthur chuckles "Then make him."

Mercury smiled "I was hoping you'd say that."

Emerald proceeds forward. Shay and the other bandits hold their ground while Emerald unsheathes Thief's Respite, twirling them before they transform into their sickle forms.

Shay looks between the two and and snarls.

(Scene break)

The next morning it's early in Mistral. Ruby Rose is seen lying on the ground on the patio outside of the training room. She watches a group of four birds flying together, before one of them flies away from the group. As she watches it fly, Ruby sees Yang Xiao Long peek over her head.

Yang smiled "You're up early."

Ruby smiles back at her "Hey sis."

Yang smiled back "Boop."

Yang lets her hair down and uses it to tickle her little sister's nose. Ruby giggles affectionately at her older sister's action. Ruby then sits up as Yang sits down next to her.

Ruby sighed "What are you doing up?"

Yang sighed "Can't fall back to sleep…you?"

Ruby "Ah, me neither…still Guts was able to…after we cuddled…" Ruby said tentatively.

Weiss stepped out of no there "note Yang read that as Fuck. Even so, fortunately, coffee exists."

Weiss Schnee carries a tray with three cups of coffee and walks over to join her teammates. She lowers the tray down so Yang can grab a cup.

Ruby shook her hands "No, please!"

Weiss rolled her eyes "Don't worry, I put in blasphemous amounts of cream and sugar, just for you." she holds the cup out in front for Ruby

Ruby sighed "Oh yeah! Nice Weiss strikes again!"

Suddenly, Weiss pulls the cup away just as Ruby was about to grab it.

Weiss glaired at her "I will pour this on you and it will burn."

She hands the cup to Ruby, who nervously giggles. Weiss sits down next her teammates and grabs her cup of coffee after placing the tray down next to her.

Yang sighed "Can't believe we're actually in Mistral."

Ruby leaned forward "That's what you can't believe?"

Yang scoffed "Well, yeah! And all the other magic and stuff. But... Okay, you know what I mean!" She said

Weiss sighed "I honestly wasn't sure if I'd ever see you two again."

Ruby nodded "sorry we weren't able to help you." She said

Weiss shook her head "you did enough knowing you were trying was enough for me to keep going." Weiss said

Yang smiled "Well, here's to defying expectations."

Yang and Weiss clink cups together, while Ruby gulps her cup down in one go, opening one eye to glance at the others' cups.

Ruby sighed as she looked out "I just wish Blake could be here with us."

Yang looked away. "Yeah, well, she made her choice."

Weiss looked at Ruby then back to Yang "What's that supposed to mean?"

Yang scowled showing bitterness "I mean she could've been here if she just stuck around. It's no big deal though. We'll be fine."

Ruby and Weiss have concerned expressions on their faces.

"Yang you know why she had to go…it's not the fact she didn't want to be here." Ruby said

Yang scoffed

Ruby tilted her head "Don't you want her here?"

Yang shook her head "Why would I want her here?"

Ruby relaxed "Are you still mad at her for leaving?"

Yang scoffs "Oh, whatever gave you that idea, Ruby? No, I'm totally fine. I'm great."

Weiss tried to heed the argument "Okay, calm down."

Yang turned her eyes red "Don't tell me to calm down!"

Ruby and Weiss gain startled expressions.

Ruby slightly frightened "Whoa, Yang."

Yang realizes what she did, and her eyes turn back to normal. Her hand shakes while holding her cup.

Yang looked down "Whatever…sorry guys I'm…im going to go talk to Guts."

She gets up and leaves. Ruby and Weiss watch her go before exchanging concerned looks with each other

Weiss sighed "She really took Blake leaving hard."

Ruby nodded "I think Yang has feelings for her but doesn't want to show it…" she said

At the Belladonna manor Everyone was getting ready for the raid on the compound. Adam slid his sword in. As Illia flicked her whip.

Ghira and Kali watched them get ready.

"Remember the plan." Adam said

"Me and Sun approach the building and get the attention of the white fang inside while you and Illia sneak in and subdue Corrasic and Finnic." Blake said

Adam nodded "right and don't kill anyone if we don't have to, They can easily use it to justify us as being just as bad or me going back on my word." Adam said

They nodded as they left the manor and split up. Ilia going by rooftop and trees. Blake and sun strolling down to the market square. And Adam stuck to the shadows of buildings.

They all converged at the same time Blake picked at her earpeace "Adam we found no White Fang patrols on the way over here." She said

"Nor did I." Illia said

Adam hummed "I don't like this Change of plans Illia you go in now through the window tell me if anyone is inside." He said

Illia popped into the window and vanished

"What do we do Now?" Sun asked

Adam shook his head "I don't know I don't like this there should be at least a few members guarding the base. The fact that you didn't meet anyone is scary." He said

Suddenly the doors opened and Illia strode out

"Illia what are you doing?!" Adam asked thinking she either betrayed them or gave there poison away.

"Come look yourself there's no one here." She said looking back

"What?!" Adam said as he and the others ran in and saw the empty safe house.

Adam growled "Damn." He hissed

"Where did they go?" Sun asked

Suddenly there was an explosion back up the hill as they turned and saw a black pillar of smoke rising from the Belladonna manor

"Mom?!" Blake gasped

"LETS GO!" Adam called

"Right! Come on Blake!" Sun said as they ran back to the house.

Back at the Belladonna's home, Gunfire can be heard. Suddenly, the table is knocked to its side as Kali and a Menagerie Guard take cover.

Guard hisses as bullets fly over "Get down!"

The guard gets up to fire back at two White Fang soldiers. He manages to shoot one of them down, but he gets shot down by the other. With the guard incapacitated, Kali takes his pistol and starts firing back.

Kali growls "Get out of my house! Ghira!"

As she calls out to her husband, Kali is forced to take cover again from the gunfire. Meanwhile, Ghira and a couple of other Menagerie guards fend off some White Fang troops in the entry hall. One of them tries to kick Ghira, but he grabs his foot and slams him into the wall. Ghira dodges a sword slash from another White Fang trooper. A guard manages to knock out another trooper after a brief scuffle, and Ghira knocks out the troop that attacked him by punching him in the diaphragm and slamming his head into the ground.

Ghira turned to the guards "Go find my wife!"

Another White Fang troop approaches Ghira with his fist drawn back, but Ghira grabs his wrist and knife hands him in the neck, and then tosses him aside. Another guard gets shot while protecting Ghira and goes limp. Ghira catches the guard's body and drops it to the ground, with Ghira wincing at his fallen comrade. He then growls as he turns his attention to the Albains, who have their weapons out.

Corsac smiled evilly "I believe it's time our dear chieftain stepped down, brother."

Fennec nods "Yes brother, I'm afraid I'm inclined to agree."

Ghira lets his claws out and rips his coat off. He bares his fangs and makes a feral growl at the two brothers, before letting out a mighty roar

(Scene break)

it is daytime at the Branwen Tribe camp. Raven Branwen sits alone in her tent sharpening Omen. Suddenly, Vernal enters.

Vernal speaks up scaired "Raven, we have a problem."

Raven sighed "What is it?"

"Salem's found us." Vernal said

Raven's eyes widen briefly.

Raven nodds "Salem... okay."

Vernal looks out again "three of her followers are waiting to speak with you."

Raven stands up "Right. We planned for this... Bring me my helmet."

Outside of her tent,, Arthur Watts, Emerald Sustrai, and Mercury Black all stand and wait while the bandits surround them, eyeing them carefully. Raven steps out of her tent with her mask on as she addresses her bandits.

Raven calls out to them "I don't recall inviting so many guests into our home. Either I'm losing my memory," before she raises her voice "or you've all lost your spines!"

"Don't be too upset with them, Raven. we'd just like to have a word with you." Watts said

Raven addressed the bandits "Leave us. Pack your things, then break down camp. We're moving."

The bandits all leave to do so.

Watts "Little late to run and hide. You've been on our master's list for some time, so you must understand that we cannot allow you to slip away."

Raven glaired "I know all about your master, but I don't believe we've met."

Mercury smirked "We're the guys you should be afraid of."

Raven scoffed "I doubt anyone should be afraid of you."

Mercury growled "Oh yeah? Tell that to-"

Watts shit him up "Quiet."

Mercury relents.

Raven smiled That's what I thought.

"I'm Arthur Watts. This is my late associate, and her irritant disciples, Emerald and Mercury."

Raven scoffed "Two children you've tricked into following you, a disgraced Atlesian scientist, Something tells me you've got more than a slight case of egomania, is that about right?

Mercury and Emerald exchange a brief look, while Watts clears his throat.

"Technically, I was also a doctor, but I must say, the rest was spot on. Good observation."

Raven smiled at Watts "It's what's kept me alive."

Watts stepped forward "actually. I'm afraid the only reason you're still alive is because you have something our master wants. Of course, if I'm wrong…" watts said as he raised his pistol to Raven.

Raven snapped behind her "Vernal!"

Vernal steps out of Raven's tent and walks up next to her.

Watts smiled "So, this is the long lost Spring Maiden. Prove it."

Raven and Vernal share a glance with each other, with Raven nodding. Vernal sighs and closes her eyes. She holds her hands out and suddenly, the wind starts to pick up gradually. The blue sky turns to gray as clouds cover it. Leaves blow in the wind. Watts, Mercury and Emerald cover their faces as thunder is heard, while everyone looks in amazement as she watches the Spring Maiden unleash her power. Vernal then lowers her hands and opens her eyes as her powers settle.

Raven stepped forward "Vernal has done well under my guidance. I'd take that into consideration before you try anything."

Watts and Mercury brush themselves off as Arthur speaks.

"Raven, I won't underestimate you, so please don't insult my intelligence. There is a slim chance you and your Maiden could escape today, but if you know our master as well as you claim to, then you know you could never truly escape her. But we come bearing an olive branch."

Watts walks up to Raven "The Maidens are merely a means to an end. Salem's true desires are the Relics locked inside the Huntsman Academies. Come with us. Allow Vernal here to unlock the Relic of Knowledge, and all previous acts of defiance against Salem will be forgiven." He whispered up to Raven's face "It's the best deal either of you are going to get."

Watts walks away from them to rejoin his group.

Raven glaired at them "You talk as if walking straight into Haven will be easy."

Arthur smiled "That's because it will be. Headmaster Lionheart is loyal to Salem. And now, all we need is the key to the vault. You're not the only one to turn your back against Oz, Raven."

Raven growled gripping the hilt of her sword "I'm not helping Salem, I'm not helping Oz! I don't want a part in any of this!"

Arthur laughed "That ship sailed when you chose to harbor a Maiden. But if you come with us to Haven, we'll leave you, your tribe, and your little secret to live out the rest of your lives squabbling in the wilderness. We just... need... the Relic."

Raven snarled "I need time to think this over."

Watts barked "You don't have time. In two days, Haven Academy will be destroyed by those loyal to us inside the White Fang. You're going to choose now."

Raven smiled "Backed me into a corner, huh?"

Arthur smiled "I know my way around the negotiating table So, are you with us, or against us?"

After a tense moment, Raven removes her grip from her hilt and takes her mask off.

Raven stop proudly "Agreements like these are built on trust. And forgive me for saying, but I don't trust a single one of you. You're going to need to give me more."

Watts snarled "You are in a poor position to negotiate."

Raven cut him off "I want my brother dead."

Her unexpected declaration momentarily stuns the three.

"Qrow?" Watts asked confirming what he heard.

Raven smiled "That's right. He knows I have Spring. And if I help you get your Relic, he's going to become a problem. I have enough problems to deal with. Qrow doesn't trust me, but he does trust Ozpin's other lieutenants. If Leo really is loyal to you, then you can order him to invite Qrow into an ambush. He arrives at Haven, we take him down, you get your Relic, and we all leave happy."

Mercury grinned "Now this is a proposition I can get behind."

Watts stepped forward putting a hand on Mercury's shoulder "Alright ladies, let's pause for a moment. We have one objective - retrieving the Relic of Knowledge. Now Qrow Branwen may be on our list of individuals we would very much like dead, but he's not going to go down without a fight, and he's not going to fight quietly. Our advantage here is just as you said - we walk straight into Haven, no resistance, no one the wiser. A battle with your brother throws that all out the window.

Raven smiled "He's good, but not that good. All of us against him? It'll be over in a heartbeat."

Emerald stepped forward "But it's not just him. He has the students with him. He has Ruby!"

Mercury nodded "He certainly does, but no Blackswordsmen." He said

Watts spoke again "If we leave that school a bloody mess, we will draw the attention of the authorities! The Kingdom will be on high alert, and the White Fang's attack will be ruined!"

"We could wait. If We wait until the full moon. Leo invites Qrow and his little fighters to Haven the same night Corsac and Fennec arrive with the White Fang. As soon as the battle is won, the White Fang demolishes Haven, and any evidence we may have left behind is lost along with the school." He said

Raven nods "Then, Salem leaves my people alone. For good."

Watts smiled "You have yourself a deal."

Watts suddenly grabs her wrist "however I also want a contingent of troops to come with us to haven. If they survive. You get more reconnection." He said

"I'm also not going to be present in the battle. Only Emerald and Mercury will be under control of Hazel. Play nice." He said as he dropped his hands and started to walk away.

Raven stands still for a moment, glaring at Watts back in front of her, but then opens her tent flap inviting them in sealing the deal.

Back in Menagerie, gunfire can be heard from within the Belladonna Family Home, as well as sounds of fighting grunts and efforts. Ghira Belladonna is leaping around the entry hall and uses his claws to hang from one of the pillars, before pouncing on a White Fang soldier and clawing him down. A female White Fang soldier charges at him with a spear, but Ghira grabs it, lifting her off the ground, and tossing her into Fennec Albain. Corsac Albain holds out his weapon, which starts to glow red as Ghira preps to launch the spear at him. A fireball is launched from Corsac's weapon as Ghira throws the spear. The two attacks manage to hit their targets, with Ghira's Aura shimmering from the fireball and Corsac getting pinned to the wall by his hood.

Fennec called out to him "Brother!"

Fennec gets back up and activates his weapon, which glows white as a wind gust is conjured from it. Ghira brings his arms to his face to block the attack, and his feet drag backwards a couple of feet as a result. A White Fang soldier with an assault rifle is hiding behind a pillar and takes the opportunity in an attempt to attack Ghira. Suddenly, Sun Wukong bursts in from the window behind him and knocks him down. Corsac discards his hood and joins his brother as they prepare to launch a combination attack with their weapons. A stream of wind and fire whirls toward Sun, but he blocks the attack by twirling Ruyi Bang and Jingu Bang. He then calls out to someone behind him.

"Hurry!"

Gambol Shroud is seen being loaded with a new cartridge, getting the attention of Corsac and Fennec. Blake Belladonna jumps down from the terrace above them, dodging a fireball and a wind attack in the process. She does a three-point landing in front of them. The brothers attempt to stab Blake, but she uses her ice Dust-enhanced Semblance to trap their hands and weapons. She leaps away from them to join her father and Sun.

Blake turns to him "Dad! Where's mom?"

Ghira shakes his head "I'm not sure, I got ambushed right away."

Blake turned back "Once we take down Corsac and Fennec-."

Ghira looked up "No, go now."

Blake turned back "But-"

Ghira stood up "You keep assuring me your friend isn't a complete waste of space! Let's see him prove it, besides I know the White Fang here are a lot more than Your mother Illia and Adam can stop but you can hold it. Go my love be safe." He said

Sun nodded "We got this, Blake. I've wanted to sock these creeps since the day we met!"

Corsac uses the fire Dust in his weapon to begin melting Blake's ice clone.

Ghira tilted to sun "You'll have to get in line. Blake, go!"

Blake does so and leaves the room. Corsac and Fennec free themselves, and prepare to fight.

Sun spins his staff "I won't let you down, sir!"

Ghira growls "Shut up."

Sun smirks "You got it!"

The both of them proceed forward.

(Scene break )

After a while Vernal comes back and tell her of what she found. Looks like Arthur is flying back but Emerald and Mercury were staying with them. As the discussed the plan to take the relic and go. Emerald hears them from outside the tent and snarls at their betrayal.

Qrow hears Raven call to him but Ozpin wishes to see him. However a paper flutters to te ground Qrow grabs it. And walks in.

Back at the Belladonna home, Blake bursts into the forked hallway. She hears the sounds of fighting to her right and proceeds down the left hallway. Above her Ilia Amitola crouched on a balcony railing in a large room. She is donning her Grimm mask and hears the muffled sounds of fighting going on around the building. She then hears the door open and sees someone walk in on the floor below her. Blake takes a defensive stance as she notices her friend standing up on the railing above her. The two reach for their weapons, with Blake gripping Gambol Shroud first. Ilia proceeds to grab Lightning Lash's hilt. The two glare at each other.

Suddenly the door is kicked in as numerous squads of militant rabid White Fang. Which are shown by having there white fang patch on her uniform ripped off pointing guns at Blake.

Illia lunged

the assault on the Belladonna Family Home continues. In the darkened tea room, Kali Belladonna and a guard fire back at unseen assailants. Kali runs out of ammo in her pistol and throws it to the ground in annoyance. She then picks up a tea tray to block another shot. She looks to a wounded female guard leaning against a pillar, who just stares back.

Kali looked over "Do you have a better idea?"

Suddenly, Yuma flies in and knocks down the other guard to the ground. He wraps his hands around the guard's throat to choke him out.

"Quiet now…"

Kali then lifts the tea tray above her head, and does a loud battle cry as she runs toward Yuma.

The Female Guard cries out "Ma'am, no!"

Yuma lets go of the guard's neck as he looks back in surprise as Kali approaches him. The sound of a thunk is heard

Elsewhere, Blake Belladonna and Ilia Amitola stare at each other from their positions, both holding their weapons.

Blake growled "Did you come in here to hide?"

Ilia shook her head "I told you, I didn't want this."

Blake growled "But you're still here!"

Ilia snapped "I don't have a choice!" Playing this as a battle of her own loyalty.

Blake snapped back "Of course you do!"

Ilia doesn't say anything, she just looks away.

Blake sighed "Just... stay out of my way."

Blake puts Gambol Shroud on her back and starts walking away. Suddenly, Ilia leaps and charges at Blake but her form disappears. Blake then reappears a few feet away behind Ilia. Blake holds Gambol Shroud in a defensive stance, while Ilia begins to attack with the whip form of Lightning Lash. Blake dodges and rolls. She runs along the desks and chairs in the room as Ilia tries to use her whip to hit her. Blake manages to dodge and block Ilia's attacks, and uses her ribbon to wrap around Ilia's wrist. Ilia is pulled toward Blake, followed up with the latter kicking the chameleon Faunus to the ground. The two then lock blades with each other.

"Why do you feel like we have to hurt people to get our way?!"

Ilia grunts "Because it works!"

Blake snarled "That doesn't make it right!"

Ilia pulls the trigger on her weapon, generating an electrical charge that causes Blake to drop her katana a few feet away from her. Blake pulls out her cleaver, but Ilia jumps from the desk and does a turn kick that knocks Blake over another desk, causing her to drop her weapon. Ilia whips at Blake again, but she uses her Semblance to get out of the way. Blake takes cover behind a desk.

Ilia growled "Stop lecturing me!"

Blake peeks from behind the desk and notices Ilia's Grimm mask left behind on the ground. Ilia quietly turns the lights off in the room, causing it to go dark. Blake quickly goes to pick up her katana while Ilia sneaks around the room camouflaged. Blake hears a creak on the floor, Ilia quickly knocks her back. Blake uses the pistol form of her weapon to shoot at Ilia, who quickly evades the shots.

Ilia shook her head "Why couldn't you just leave?!"

Blake transformed her pistol to katana form "Because I run away too much."

Blake dodges a couple more whips from Ilia who has moved up to the balcony. As she takes cover behind the desks, Blake takes out two cartridges - one with fire Dust and the other with ice. She loads the fire Dust cartridge in her weapon and aims at the shrubbery at the top corner of the room.

Blake looked over "Sorry, dad."

Blake fires her weapon and the spreading flames start to light up the room, revealing Ilia's location. With camouflage not an option anymore, Ilia engages Blake in combat. The two start off with a mixture of sword clashes and hand-to-hand. Blake dodges out of the way of one of Ilia's attacks and starts shooting at her with the pistol form of her weapon. Ilia deflects the shots with her whip.

Ilia growled "Quit taking potshots and fight me like you mean it!"

Blake dodges another one of Ilia's whips and lands on the balcony above her. She takes cover behind the railing as Ilia rants at her. At the same time while they were fighting they were intentionally hitting several crowds of white fang and "accidentally" killing them.

Ilia snarled "You used to see things the way I did! The way Adam did! If no one's going to do anything to stop the humans that attack us, then the only choice we have left... is to attack back!"

Blake loads another cartridge in her pistol and begins to fire at Ilia again. Ilia deflects the shots, but when she goes to use her whip again, her weapon is frozen in place. Suddenly, a ribbon is wrapped around her weapon as Blake pulls it away and she leaps from the balcony to kick Ilia to the ground. Blake holds Ilia down.

Blake sighes "You're wrong, there's always another choice."

Ilia struggles to get up as Blake continues to hold her down.

"Ilia... please. You're a good person but you're making all the wrong decisions!"

Ilia yelled "SHUT UP!"

"Is this really what your parents would've wanted?!"

Ilia voice breaking "I don't know what else to do!"

Suddenly, Ilia ceases her struggling and her eyes start to well up.

Ilia sobed "I don't know what else to do…"

As Ilia continues sobbing, Blake hears a rumble. Corsac Albain is thrown through the wall, dropping his half of Cyclone and Inferno. Ghira Belladonna jumps into the room as he growls at Corsac. He then notices his daughter pinning Ilia to the ground.

Ghira called out to her "Blake!"

Suddenly, Fennec Albain stabs Ghira in the back, who cries out in pain and slumps toward the ground.

Blake gasps "Dad!"

With Blake distracted, Ilia gets her off her and kicks her into a nearby chair, knocking Blake out momentarily. Ghira then gets Fennec off his back and tosses him away as Corsac runs to him. Ghira pulls the wand out of his back and clashes fists with Corsac. The two then struggle to push each other as their hands interlock. Ilia just stares in disbelief at what's going on around her, before a voice snaps her out of her trance.

Fennec called out to her apparently the ploy worked "Ilia! What are you doing?! Fight!"

Fennec pulls out another wand and charges at Ghira. The chieftain manages to push off Corsac and dodges Fennec's swipes as he begins to fight both of them at once. Fennec doges a swing then leaps at Ghira as he drives Corsac back, only be caught and tossed onto the floor. As Ghira defends himself Fennec recovers and begins to charge his weapon while the pair continue exchanging blows. Fennec then charges in again, giving a loud battle cry. Ghira notices him and grabs his wrist, pointing his weapon as it fires at Corsac, who gets blown back several feet away and is knocked unconscious.

Fennec called out "BROTHER!"

Fennec tries to attack Ghira again, but Sun Wukong jumps in and kicks him away. Sun sees Blake struggling to get back up and clenches his fist. He then angrily glares at Ilia who continues to stand watching the fight.

"Go help Blake!"

Sun nods "On it!"

Sun pulls out Ruyi Bang and Jingu Bang and engages Ilia in combat. He slams the staff down but misses, then jumps back to dodge her sweeping leg. Ilia back-flips away from his next swing and tries to kick him. Sun turns to dodge then splits his weapon, landing a blow on her back. He delivers a flurry of attacks with his shotgun nunchucks that overwhelms Ilia and leaves her open to a kick in the side. Rejoining the split halves to block Lightning Lash, which finishes thawing as they struggle. Ilia smiles before trying to shock him, only for the trigger to jam. Her eyes widen as she tries again while Sun shoves her back. She is then pushed against a pillar by Sun with a jab to the stomach. Before she can move he pins her against it with his weapon. Nearby, Fennec ducks under Ghira's claws then blocks his left arm, only to be punched back through the hole by his other hand. As Ilia struggles to get out of Sun's hold, the pillar she is getting pushed against starts to crack.

Blake cried out "Stop!"

Sun and Ilia stop to look at Blake.

Blake "Please…" she said as tears start streaming down her eyes.

Ilia manages to push Sun off her and falls to the ground as he hits the pillar. Suddenly the pillar starts to crack even more, Sun moves out of the way quickly as the balcony above Ilia starts to give way. Ilia yelps looking up in terror as the balcony is about to fall on her. Suddenly, Ghira is shown lifting the broken part of the balcony with his own strength. Ilia stares in awe.

Ghira looked over at her "Go!"

Ilia quickly gets out of the way as Ghira is forced down on one knee to keep the balcony from falling on him. Sun uses his Semblance to summon two light clones that go and help Ghira lift. Blake grabs her katana and transforms it into kusarigama form. Unbeknownst to them, Fennec gets back up and sees his brother still unconscious. He grabs both of their wands and runs towards Ghira. Blake sees this and quickly tosses her weapon, wrapping it around her father's torso and pulls him out as Fennec lands just below the falling balcony. Fennec is then crushed by the balcony, and the Dust in the wands explode from impact, ensuring the younger Albain's death. Afterwards, Kali enters the room dragging an unconscious Yuma, who has his hands tied behind his back.

Blake smiled "Mom!"

Kali drops Yuma as her daughter comes up to hug her. Their embrace is cut short as a voice gets their attention.

Corsac snarled darkly "What have you done?" He stands back up "You ruined everything… EVERYTHIIIIIIING!"

The Belladonnas and Sun take defensive stances. Corsac angrily runs forward, but suddenly, Lightning Lash wraps around his body, electrocuting him and knocking him unconscious. With the battle over, Ilia starts to cry and falls to her knees as she breaks down, with the Belladonnas and Sun looking on.

"Nice acting." Blake said

Ilia smiled "think it worked?" She asked

Suddenly the door opened, "no it didn't. We need to get to Haven now. The only reason we're alive here now is because the brothers sent most of their warriors to Have to start the attack, they will be there in a few weeks." Adam. Said

"There is no way we can rally a force to stop the attack in time and go to the meeting at the same time." Adam said

"The meeting will wait then, Adam call all those you can and get them to Haven," Ghira said

Adam nodded

Ghira turned to Blake "I need to make a call. You get ready to go," he said

Blake and Sun walked outside with Illa and the Albian brother, where the people were worried, about them, Blake and Sun used this as a rally call for those to join there cause to the white fang and save Haven, which is successful.

Ghira walked out "well seems you got us an army. Now we just need a way to get there."

Blake smiled.

"I believe that there is a ship captain that owes us a few favors.

(Scene break)

Oscar Pine, who is currently letting Ozpin take over, and Qrow Branwen are seen sitting together. Qrow takes a sip from his cup.

Qrow sighed "Things aren't looking good, Oz."

Ozpin shook his head "Ever the optimist." He sips from his cup "While I would not say our current predicament is... ideal, I think we can both agree that the situation could be much worse. Humanity is a resilient force."

Qrow shook his head "Oz, pro Huntsmen like that don't just bite it all at once. Salem's powerful. It seems like her reach is growing by the day. What does that say about Humanity?"

Ozpin set his cup down "That there are indeed a misguided few who have filled their hearts with malice. It doesn't take a great number of people to cause harm, but I still believe there are far more people in this world willing to prevent it."

As Ozpin is about to take another sip, Ruby Rose is heard walking into the room.

Ruby peeped in "Um, excuse me?"

Ozpin looked up "Ah, Miss Rose, join us. We were just about to gather everyone to discuss our next steps."

Ruby Smiled "Oh, uh, great…where is Guts?" She asked

"Doing a few last minute preparations for the ambush were setting for Salem and her forces." Qrow said

Ruby nodded "I'm just glad Raven gave you that note."

"She might be Pro Oz but she's not Pro Salem either, you just need to know how to play her but she can help." Qrow said

"Yes…the thing I did wrong was believe her to be an ally. That is something I will not make again. Qrow if you do find your sister, you have permission to kill her, her magic will return to be and I will use it more sparingly."

Qrow growled "Oz I don't think I can."

Ozpin nodded "I understand the family bond is strong, and I won't ask you to do something you're not comfortable with."

Qrow looked up at Ruby "Something on your mind kiddo?"

Ruby looked around "Uh... uh, it's... if it's okay to ask."

Qrow nodded "Of course."

Ruby "Well, uh... we've been talking about the Relic at Haven... and the Spring Maiden, but... what about the Fall Maiden?"

Ozpin looked up "Amber?" He asked

Ruby nodded "yes the one that escaped…Does that mean... Salem has the Beacon Relic?"

Ozpin and Qrow share a brief look with each other.

Ozpin smiled "Very astute, Miss Rose, I was wondering who would be the first to ask. No, thankfully she does not. It's true that the Relic at Haven is very much at risk, and for now, that should remain our primary focus. Let's just say I made finding the Relic at Beacon a... bit more challenging than at the other schools. That as well as the case that not a mere month ago, while on a distant farm I felt a massive power surge, I believe Amber used the last of her power to give one last F U to Salem, and I'm afraid she has passed."

Qrow looked down saddened

Ruby looked Down as well "Oh…well at least Salem doesn't have a maiden anymore That's good to hear."

Ozpin nodded "It is, but let's not forget the challenges that still lie before us."

Ruby nods.

Ozpin smiled "Now is there anything else we can help you with?"

Ruby tried to dance around the question "Oh, uh... well, I did have one more question."

Ozpin shook his head "No, my cane is not a Relic."

Ruby didn't hesitate in saying "I have no more questions."

They all giggle.

Ozpin sat up and gripped a long memory "Yes, while this cane is indeed very precious to me, it is also just that - precious to me. While I admit it still has a few more tricks up its sleeve, I can firmly say that being a Relic isn't one of them. Now why don't you run and get the other students?"

Suddenly, Qrow's scroll is heard vibrating. He takes it out from his pocket to see "LEO LIONHEART" calling. He takes the call.

Qrow leaned back "Yeah? ... Okay... yeah, we'll be there." Qrow hangs up

Ruby looked weirdly "Who was it?"

Qrow sighs while taking out his flask "It was Leo, says he had a breakthrough with the council. Thinks he might be able to get together a small raiding party for the bandits. He wants us to meet up at the school tomorrow night to walk us through it."

Ruby gasps and smiles "Really? Oh that's great! I'll go get the others."

Ruby runs out of the room while Qrow takes a drink from his flask.

Ozpin sighed "Mmm, isn't it True that Guts had a word with Leo after your Talk?"

Qrow nodded "He did."

Ozpin hummed "Interesting…"

Qrow sighed "Things aren't looking good, Oz…better than most but not good. I don't know how we're going to pull it off."

Ozpin sighed and took a sip "I know…"

(The next night)

the full moon illuminates the night sky above Haven Academy. On the school grounds, Qrow Branwen takes the lead as the currently present members of Team RWBY, the members of Team JNPR, and Oscar Pine follow close behind. Ruby Rose stops and looks up to admire Haven's CCT tower, before following the rest of the group to a nearby building. They enter the building and are greeted by Leonardo Lionheart, who is standing on a terrace at the top of the stairs that is being held up by a statue of a woman in chains.

Lionheart chuckled "Why hello. Thank you for... coming. There... seems to be more of you than last time."

Qrow and the rest of the group stop to look up at Lionheart.

Qrow shrugged "Eh, you know what they say, "The more the merrier". So what's going on with the council?"

Lionheart looked around "Why... did you bring your weapons?"

Qrow was shocked "What? Leo, we're Huntsmen. You okay?"

Lionheart waved him off "Of course! Of course, sorry. Just haven't had my evening coffee."

Qrow shrugged "Look, it's nice to see you, but we got work to do. Are we getting support from the council or not?"

While the two talk, Yang Xiao Long notices from the corner of her eye a black bird perched on a balcony railing.

Yang called out "Mom?"

Everyone's attention is turned to the bird. It flies away just as Qrow shoots at it, but he misses. The bird flies down behind Lionheart, transforming into Raven Branwen, donning her mask. Everyone glares at her.

Ruby glaired "Raven…"

Nora gasped "They... they really are magic…"

Raven took her mask off "If you're going to shoot me, shoot me. That was insulting."

Qrow growled "What are you doing here?!"

Raven walked down the stairs "I could ask you the same thing. You've been scheming, little brother. Planning to attack your own sister."

Qrow looked to leo "Leo... what have you done?!"

Lionheart looked uncertain "I…"

Raven smiled "Leo did what any sane person would in his position - he looked at all the information he had in front of him, assessed the situation, and made a choice. And it seems you all have too."

Qrow yelled angry "You have the Spring Maiden."

Raven smiled "I do."

Qrow reached out "Then hand her over and let's work together! We can beat Salem!"

Raven scoffed "All that time spent spying for Ozpin and you still have no idea what you're dealing with. There is no beating Salem!"

Ruby stepped forward "You're wrong. We've done things that most people would call impossible, and I know the only reason we were able to do it is because we didn't do it alone! We had people to teach us, people to help us, we had each other. Work with us. At least I know we'll have a better chance if we try together. Please."

Ruby holds her hand out. Raven glares at it.

Raven looked at her scornfully "You sound just like your mother."

Suddenly, Raven draws Omen and creates a portal with her Semblance. From the portal, a Gunshot is heard and hits Ruby square in her torso. She lands several feet back.

Yang called "Ruby!"

While Yang runs to her little sister, Vernal, Emerald Sustrai and Mercury Black step out from the portal along with several Raiders.

Ruby glared as she held her chest, the bullet in her hand "you."

Salems lackies and her group line up alongside Raven, while Ruby's group gasp.

Mercury shrugged "C'mon guys, is that any way to greet your old friends?"

Yang growls at him.

Qrow waved his hands "Everybody, stay calm."

Suddenly they hear the doors behind them open up.

Oscar looked over "Oh no…"

Hazel Rainart is seen closing the doors behind him as he enters.

Hazel pointed behind him with his thumb "The White Fang is prepping demolition and securing the school grounds. No one's getting in, and no one's getting out."

Outside, a White Fang soldier is seen placing a bomb on the CCT tower. The camera zooms out to show more bombs all primed set by more White Fang soldiers.

Back inside, everyone watches Hazel slowly approach them. They turn their attention back to Raven.

Weiss snarled "This was all just a trap?"

Ren nodded "It appears so…"

Qrow looked at his sister "Raven, tell me... how long have you been with them?"

Mercury smile "Aww, don't take it personally, little bird. Your sister was a recent addition. The lion on the other hand... Entrance into the Vytal Festival was a real treat, Leonardo's been sending Salem all sorts of information for a very, very long time. Isn't that right, professor?"

Lionheart glaired at her "Stop it…"

Qrow growled "It was you... you sit on the Mistral Council. You had information on every Huntsman and Huntress in the Kingdom, and you gave it all to her?"

Lionheart looked away "I-"

Qrow huffed "I couldn't find any of them, because you let her kill them!"

Lionheart doesn't say anything, only still having a sad expression on his face.

Mercury smiled enjoying the taunting "Aw now, don't beat yourself up about it, Lionheart, I'm sure Tyrian and Hazel would've found them on their own eventually."

Jaune huffed "What is wrong with you...?" seething "How can you be so broken inside... to take so many lives, and then come here and rub it in our faces like it's something to be proud of?!" He said

Nora looked over "Jaune…"

Jaune was too enraged "All with that damn smile on your face!" tears stream from his eyes

The rest of the group draw their weapons.

Qrow tried to calm everyone down "Everybody, stay calm!"

No one made a move

Jaune started to yell "I'm gonna make you pay for what you did! Do you hear me?!"

Qrow looked at Jaune "Kid!"

Jaune didn't hear him "Well?! SAY SOMETHING!"

Mercury Tilts his head "Who are you again?"

At this, Jaune gains a look of shock, and then of anger. He transforms Crocea Mors to its two-handler form and advances forward. Mercury falls on his back and blocks Jaune's attack.

Ruby cries out "Jaune!"

Ruby leaps into the air, but a chain wraps around her and she is pulled to the ground by Emerald.

Emerald snarls "You're not getting near him not after what you did to Cinder…"

Jaune is then pushed back by Mercury and the two begin their duel. Yang runs forward to join the fight, but

Shay lands in front of her.

Shay smiles "Hey there, Blondie. Remember me?"

Yang growls and uses Ember Celica to propel herself forward.

Raven speaks to Vernal "Take out the heiress. Don't bother wasting your power, she's not worth it."

Raven then draws her sword as Qrow uses Harbinger to lock blades with his sister.

Qrow growled "Running away was one thing, but this... you've crossed the line!"

Raven "Sorry, brother. Sometimes family disappoints you like that."

Qrow growled "We're not family anymore."

Raven smiled "Were we ever?"

Qrow huffed sterling himself to what he was about to do "I thought so, but I guess I was wrong."

The two then proceed with their fight, Qrow ducks under a slash then jumps back. He dodges two more swings as Raven follows and clashes blades one time before she kicks him away. While the siblings battle Vernal draws her weapons and confronts Weiss.

Vernal walked over Smugly "Let's see what the Schnee name really means."

Vernal draws her weapons, while Weiss holds Myrtenaster en garde.

Weiss looked unfazed "I'm more than a name."

Vernal smirked "Hm, prove it."

Weiss activates a glyph below her and projects herself forward to fight the Spring Maiden.

Meanwhile, Oscar sneaks up the stairs to Lionheart

As Lionheart watches the fights going on, he then notices Oscar walk up behind him.

Lionheart looked over the railing not bothered to turn address Oscar sneaking up on him "I guess it's time isn't is Ozpin…" Leo said

"Seems that way…" Oscar said

Leo smiled sickeningly "good!"

Leo grabbed his face and the sound of tearing is heard and in Leo's place stands Guts

"Good thing this corpses was lying around for me!" He said

Everyone was frozen.

Raven was shocked "WHAT?!" As Qrow kicked her down and swung to which she partied the attack.

Guts jumps down and Draws Dragonslayer.

"Did you really think I didn't notice Leo was a traitor the moment I laid eyes on him? I killed him in our first meeting. We had other things planned too NIKOS NOW!" Guts yelled

Suddenly all the doors were open as several huntsmen pointed their weapons around at those standing in there.

"What is this?!" Hazel asked

"Our plan to kill you all." Guts said

Hazel snarled

"You think you can kill us?" Hazel snarled

"Yep." Guts said plainly

Hazel snarled "very well ATTACK!" Hazel snarled

Suddenly the doors burst open and two Apostle Grimm snarled

Guts grit his teeth as the pain.

"So you feel like that will save you?" Guts asked

Hazel smerked "not even I can beat one of these Supergrimm try your best shot-!"

"ITS THE BLACKSWORDSMEN RUN?!" One of the Grimm said

"What?!" Hazel asked

"Screw this I didn't sign up for this?!" The other said as they turned tail and attempted to run.

Hazel looked over "shocked "what are doing-?!" He paused as suddenly one laid down split in half

Hazel was appalled, Guts stood over the dead Apostle and looked sickeningly at Hazel.

"Heh these are the things I hunted for a living!" Guts said

Hazel stepped back only to be blocked by Nora and Ren

Hazel turned towards them. "I don't need to fight you…stand aside…" he said

Nora and Ren stood where they were.

"As you wish!" Hazel snarled as he charged.

Weiss jumped back and elegantly tried to send several attacks at Vernal but was not able to concentrate as Vernal struck at every opening she had as Weiss snarled

"Oh what are you going to do when you can't do your prissy little dance? What happened to your strength-."

Weiss vanished and appeared right in front of her "RIGHT HERE!" She said as she uppercut Vernal sending her into the roof and out of it

Raven watched shocked

"VERNAL?!" Raven screamed

Qrow used this to send her back.

"Looks like your Maiden isn't up to snuff." Qrow said

Raven growled and looked to see a pocket watch in Qrows pocket one that fit the exact hole in the statue at the stairs.

Raven snarls and lunges at Qrow making him step back allowing Raven to transform into her bird form and fly off.

Qrow snarled as Oscar looked at Qrow.

"QROW!" He said

"I got it Oz." He said as he transformed into a bird too and flew after Raven.

Hazel heard Qrow's Comment "Ozpin…" he said as he stopped Nora's attack by grabbing her hammer and tossing her aside as he punched Ren into a wall.

"Damn it this battle isn't going quiet so well." Ozpin said mentally

"OZPIN!" Hazel roared

Ozpin mentally 'Oh no…'

Hazel stomped forward "You thought you could hide from ME?!"

Hazel rips his coat off, and then grabs a pair of lightning Dust crystals from a couple of pouches on his legs.

Hazel "You'll pay for what you did! You'll die over and over again!"

He stabs the lightning Dust into his arms, with his blood vessels turning yellow and popping out from his skin as well as having some lightning coat them. His eyes glow yellow, and he lets out an intimidating roar. Oscar slowly backs away, holding his cane up cautiously.

Oscar gulped as he stepped back "Do- do we fight?"

Ozpin afraid 'No, run!'

Hazel leaps forward to charge into Oscar, but Guts gets him out of the way in time.

Guts slammed Dragonslayer down making Hazel slam his fist into it

Guts stood unaffected

"Why are you here?" Hazel asked

"To stop you." He said he looked to Qrow

"Qrow protects Ozpin." He said

"You think you can stand before me?" Hazel asked

"The question is…can you handle me?" He asked

In the air Qrow lands in front of Oscar. Which allows Raven to fly down and grab the watch

"VERNAL NOW!" Raven said as she looked back to see Her still fighting Weiss. And losing

Raven growled "Damn it." She said

Pressed the watch into the and places it in a small niche on the statue. The hands on the watch gradually spin faster and the statue lowers. Yang Xiao Long watches the situation in front of her.

"Raven?!" Qrow asked as he padded his pockets "Damn it she stole the watch!" He hissed

Guts growled.

"Yang get In There!?" He shouted.

Mercury went to try to stop her but Guts fired a shot as well as the other huntsman fired at them to stop them from helping

"No!" Emerald screamed

Guts parried another attack from Hazel

"Nikos there are more forces trying to take down the academy stop them!" Guts said

Pyrrah nodded "right!" She ran out with the contingent of huntsmen with them.

Yang at the same time slides into the hole.

Hazel growled

He tried to speak of Ozpin's past with his sister. But Guts was already irritated

"Give it up you've lost. The relic is mine. We have you surrounded and you can't win. leave now and I'll let you live." Guts said

Outside the raiders of Raven bands watch around as the contingent of white fang stand ready as a white fang lieutenant stands "all white fang! It's time we do what we promised so long ago!" He said

"And by doing that you're corrupting the dream we've had!" A voice said as Adam appeared behind those white fang militants who were loyal to him, Blake, Ghira, Sun, and Illia standing beside him.

"Make no mistake, brothers! These are our enemies! And we will not let them ruin-" the white fang lieutenant snarled

Suddenly, he is interrupted when a Mistral airship shines its searchlight down on Adam and his group. The Mistral police captain is seen on the airship with Sienna Khan and Kali Belladonna.

Mistral Police Captain over P.A. "Alexion Pather, this is the Mistral Police Force! Lower your weapons and surrender peacefully."

More Mistral airships arrive. Back inside, Ruby knocks Emerald back a few feet. Emerald then hears the sounds of the Mistral airships as their searchlights shine through the windows. Everyone stops what they are doing.

Mercury and Emerald looked around as there is a crowd chanting

"What's happening?" She asked

Hazel snarled. "We've been outplayed…it's up to Raven to get the relic for us."

Suddenly the doors open and Blake walks in

"Blake!" Ruby cried as she walks in, "Adam and the white fang will hold off the Corrupted faction. The bombs have been disabled. And the meeting with the White fang and the Huntsmen is planned to take place in this very room."

Emerald growled "it doesn't matter once we have the relic, nothing will stop us!" She said

Suddenly the elevator rose up and revealed Yang holding the relic.

"Nooooo!" Emerald said."

Hazel seethes while tears stream from Emerald's eyes. Yang smiles back down to her friends and shares a brief glance with Blake, who looks down for a bit before looking back up to her. Emerald falls to her knees and begins to sob. Mercury and Hazel slowly back away.

"Emerald, get up, we need to go."

Emerald shakes her head and remains stationary.

Mercury hissed "Emerald!"

Emerald looks around as her breathing gets frantic. She holds her head and lets out a loud scream, activating her Semblance. Suddenly, the room turns dark as black smoke rises from the ground nearby. From it, a giant effigy of Salem, limbs bent and deformed, towers above everyone in the room. The giant Salem opens her eyes, and lets out an ear-piercing scream as it swoops down over everyone. The screen goes black for a moment. Afterwards, everything returns to normal, Ruby shakes in fear as she comes to terms with what she had just witnessed. Everyone in the room is still present, with the exception of Emerald, Mercury and Hazel, who have disappeared.

Blake shakes her head "Wha- what was that?"

Ozpin steps forward "An illusion. But an accurate one. That... was Salem."

Adam. Ran into the Haven

"Blake!" He cried

Blake turned around

"Adam!" She said as the two hugged "we made it in time!" She said

Adam nodded "yea…just barely…but we did the White fang were all set to blow this place up and you all along with it." Adam said

"Well then it's a good thing we arrived when we did." A voice said as Sienna khan stepped forward.

"High leader!" Adam kneeled

"Adam." Sienna growled.

Adam looked up and gulped

"In years past you became violent. Striking out at anyone who slighted you. You started down a dark path. And I supported you. Believing in you. Only to have you go down deeper…it was only when I became high leader did I see the actual damage you caused…and then you did the unthinkable…you attacked an entire city during a time of peace and held its entire population hostage with the intent to wipe it off the map…" she growled

"And then you stopped…you found your way back. Saved the city. And helped defeat the Grimm. Your loyal friends aided the humans. And because of that we've gotten more followers in the cities than ever before. People Humans are asking us to Guard there shipments. Of course we are cheaper than full blown huntsman but the fact is still clear your helping with the divide of the fanuas on your own way. You've gotten Ghira's protection but that won't save you." Sienna said

She dropped her rope dart which swung around poised to attack

Blake tensed as Adam bowed his head

Sienna then smiled "that is if I was going to kill you." She said as she kicked up her dart again.

"Arise Adam you've done good. We will welcome you back to the fang once more with full honors." She said

Adam smiled "t-thank you high leader but I don't deserve full honors…not yet…" he said

Sienna put her hand on Adams check

"Adam…" she said

Adam turned away "like it or not I caused the splinter faction to occur; they were the most radical, the most dangerous. And I gave them an out, armed them, and gave them targets and I won't stop until all of them are either dead or behind bars." Adam said

Sienna smiled "and that Adam is why you do deserve the full honors. But first there is proceedings to be done." She said as she stepped forward

"Which of you here speaks for Headmaster Ozpin or the leader of the Huntsman Association?" She asked with her hands behind her back

Blake stepped forward. "Excuse me High leader. But officially I was supposed to be the Envoy for this…" she said

Sienna looked shocked "Blake?"

Blake nodded "y-yes madam due to my history with the White Fang it was believed that it would be better if I had joined this meeting." She said.

Her shock morphed into pride. "It would be my honor for that to be the case." She said

"Well that was originally." Guts said stepping forward

"And who are you?" Sienna asked

"My name is Guts…but you've probably heard of me known as The Blackswordsmen." Guts said

Sienna tensed but didn't flinch which Guts admired Sienna spoke calmly.

"I've know of both names but I didn't know they came from the same person. Which confuses me more seeing as they have two different messages attached. Is it true that you are able to slay Grimm that are bigger than a house in a single blow?" She asked

Guts nodded "yes that is true."

Sienna spoke again "and is it also true that you are a man of extreme anger…but you have never turned it on the face of your enemy?" She asked

Guts nodded "that is also true madam." He said

"Sienna smiled "then I am glad we met in these friendly circumstances, Friend Guts." She said as she shook his hand.

Guts smiled

Sienna looked around "I think we will be in very good company for this meeting. A very big meeting. One that will change the date of the Huntsman and Fanuas." Sienna said

Eventually everyone sat down Sienna sitting down at the far end facing the door to the courtyard with Adam of her left and Ghira on her right. Sun and Kali next to him and sitting next to Adam was Illia and Blake.

And on the other side was Oscar pine. With Qrow sitting on his left and Guts on his right Ruby sitting next to Guts and going all the way down the table was team RWBY across from them was Team JNPR.

Around the edge was White Fang Guards

Ghira looked around. "Are the guards really necessary I mean after all we have so many people around us who all know how to fight." He said

"Sienna shrugged "its traditional it has been sense you were in this seat Ghira. But I understand what your saying and I think for one day it's fine. Guards leave us. Spend the night of town!" She said

All the guards bowed and said "YES HIGH LEADER!" And walked out the door.

Sun was about to make a quip but Blake kicked him under the table it out of him making him wince as Ghira elbowed him for wincing. Both father and daughter shared a wink of good fun to which Sun poured

Sienna smiled as the doors closed leaving them alone as she began the meeting "who here speaks for the Huntsman Association?" She asked

Oscar stood up proudly. "I speak for the Huntsman here." He said

Sienna narrowed her eyes "do you take us for fools?" She asked

Oscar looked away "uh?"

Sienna kept on the pressure "your a child not even old enough to attend a combat school yet you want me to believe your the leader the one you follow is him." Sienna looked to Guts who insisted Oscar speak. Qrow looked no better

Oscar looked like he was speaking bullets

In his mind Oscar was screaming 'What do I do?!'

Ozpin sighed 'nothing I will take over it's mostly sitting anyways so I will be fine. However this will mean you will have a full 12 hours without my aid at all.' He said

'I know I'm sorry.' Oscar said

'Don't apologize it can't be helped now let's get this meeting started.'

Oscar face shifted from one of nervousness to calmness as Oscar glowed and looked back with Sienna.

"Hello Ms Khan glad to meet your acquaintance." Ozpin said

Sienna, Sun, Ghira, Kali, Illia, we're shocked Adam was too even Blake to some point or another.

"O-Ozpin?" Adam asked

Ozpin nodded "hello Adam, it is good to see you again thanks to your efforts six months ago we are sitting here with each other as friends. And are making history before us." He said

Sienna looked at Adam "Adam?"

Adam. Nodded "it's him. That's Ozpin." He said

"The code phrase was more literal than metaphoric." Blake nodded

Ozpin nodded

Sienna smiled "I see then this is just a continuation of the previous meeting." She said

Ozpin smiled, "That was the plan."

Adam looked at Sienna "high leader. If I may say something?" He asked

Sienna nodded "go ahead Adam." She waved the floor.

Adam addressed the room. "I wish the white fang to be given the rank of huntsman." He said

Everyone gasped but Adam continued "in rank only. The White fang will not take jobs for pay on huntsman leaderboards. We won't steal your jobs. But I just want protection's against police harassment when we go after the splinter group." Adam said as he turned to Sienna "that is all high leader thank you." He said

Sienna looked down at the table "I think that's a fair policy? The white fang will get the rank of Huntsman so long as they don't use there combat skills to take huntsman jobs. Only special jobs that White fang can take. Such as guarding a high value target. Or shipping convoy." She said

Sienna said, pounding the table.
