For a moment Naruto was able to catch Sasuke off guard and held a tight grip around his neck.

"Okay Sasuke you win. If you want to screw your life then go ahead, but know this Sasuke and remember it well. I love you to death, more than you could ever imagine. I came after you not because Sakura-san asked me to, but because I want to bring you back, the love I never really had. To save you from that snake, to give myself a chance of telling you how much I love you, but it seems like hatred has consumed your soul. You're no longer the Sasuke I knew and loved, but a demon hungry for the blood of his aniki. I won't stop you anymore for it pains me to do this, to hurt you...but..i want you to know one last thing.."

Naruto took a deep breath and continued,

"I'll be waiting for you in Konoha, for a year. Beyond that, I won't be the Naruto you once knew either, and now that everything has been said..."

Naruto loosened his grip on the man he loves as tears fell endlessly on his whisker marked cheeks. Slowly he began to move, sealing everything with a kiss. His lips finding the familiar taste it has longed for since that day in the academy.

Breaking the kiss, Naruto rested his forehead on Sasuke's own, looked straight at him with his bright blue eyes now flowing with tears and said,

"Sayonara, Sasuke-koi."

And with that, Naruto was gone in a sudden sound of 'poof', leaving the Uchiha in an undescribable state.

Watching the kitsune's face, listening to his every word, tasting his lips once more, brought an unfamiliar feeling to the raven haired genius. An unfamiliar sting kept on tugging certain nerves, certain feelings and emotions he never thought he still had.

When the blonde loud mouth left in a cloud of smoke, Sasuke felt a drop of water roll down his pale white cheeks. He wiped it away and ignored it. Soon, another drop of water rolled down his cheeks. He wiped it away angrily. However, as his former team mate's words sunk deeper in his heart and soul, that drop of water began to multiply. No matter how much he tried to wipe it away with the back of his hand, they won't seem to disappear. Alone, Sasuke stood there as he felt Naruto's chakra signature fade away into the vast forest surrounding him. After a while, he turned his back and went on his way to Orochimaru.
