Welp, another day, another moment of kicking ass. It had been a long twelve hours and now that it was time to get some sleep, I couldn't have been happier. Po walked alongside me as he got ready to get some shut eye himself. Guess even the mighty Dragon Warrior needs his beauty sleep as much as anyone else. The pair of us entered the barracks and marched down the hallway, making sure to be as quiet as we could. Everyone else was already asleep, or should be at least, so waking any of them up wouldn't have been much of a good idea. We made it to the end of the barracks hallway and Po entered his room, yawning as he did before speaking.
"Ugh... I tell you Mike, I have had the longest day ever! Saving China from evil, terrifying villains is tougher than you'd think".
"I bet. Especially since you can't find the energy to get yourself a late night snack tonight, it must be tough". I teased.
"Yeah well, I think I'm just gonna hit the hay. Night buddy". The large panda spoke before leaning back and resting his head onto his pillow.
I granted him a good night myself and was about to head into my own room, opposite Po's until an odd coughing sound came out of nowhere, grabbing both mine and Po's attention. Was it me, or did it sound like it was coming from Cranes room?
"Oh, Crane's acid reflex must be acting up again". Po filled me in, adding in a small chuckle of relief.
"Huh. I take it that doesn't happen too often"? I asked.
"Eh, it'll die down in a second". He assured me before trying to go back to sleep. However...
"RRAAOOWWWW"!
I almost yelled out in fright, getting into my battle stance the instant I heard the alarming sound!
"What the hell was that"!? I asked at once, darting my eyes side to side, half expecting a zombie to come marching through at any moment. Nothing but moans and growls could be heard! It was enough to freak Po out for a second as well before he was able to put two and two together for me.
"Oh... It's Tigress".
... Was he serious?
"She must be dreaming about that one time I beat her at sparring or something, heh... It'll stop when she rolls onto her tummy".
Oh wow, that must have been hell for her if it's causing her to growl and moan like that. If Po hadn't said anything, I'd have spent half the night awake, preparing to have my brains eaten...
And yet then again, before I could say anything... snoring emerged, followed by some strange mad laughter of some sorts. Please tell me those aren't from the other guys?
"Mantis".. Po sighed, starting to get fed up now. "And... Monkey must be de-pantsing people in his sleep again, so"-
Before Po finished, another louder, deeper snoring emerged, putting Mantis's to shame. Po closed his eyes for a second before responding.
"You'd have thought Viper would have had a more, daintier snore than that".
Wait! THAT was Viper?! She sounded like a sixty year old guy with a very deep voice! How in Gods name have I never noticed that before!? Have I been sleeping through it the entire time I've lived here? And it didn't help that everyone else was making their own personal sounds. It reminded me of a bleeding zoo rather than a warriors barracks! It seemed to get to Po faster than it did me.
"Alright alright alright". He groaned before getting up off of his bed. "I'm gonna go see if there's anyone else who wants to conquer all of China". He decided before excusing himself, barely making any noise over the racket everybody else was making. It was a wonder they hadn't woken each other up yet!
I quickly looked over to my own room, and could hear the deep snoring coming from within. Now how the heck you expect me to sleep with that noise being less than a foot away from my head, I have no clue. It just wasn't possible! Eventually, I made a decision on my own.
"Guess I'm sleeping in the training hall again". I sighed miserably before grabbing Pos pillow, since he won't be using it tonight, and headed out of the barracks...
...
Hey guys, guess who's back!
Gonna be another week or two before I post my story again, since I still need to work out a few ideas, but it is on it's way. So until then, I hope this short was enough to keep you entertained. Cheerio!
