The first thought on my mind the second we had left through the front gates of the prison was to ask Viper about what she meant earlier, back up there on the balconey. One of green, one of red and whatever else she was mumbling to herself. However as much as I would have wanted to press out whatever information I could, now wasn't exactly the time nor the place to do so. Not that I had long to wait as my earlier prediction came through.

"Looks like we'll need to spend the night in the city". Viper mused as she looked in the direction of the sun, checking its position.

"Oh, great. Spending the night in a city sized criminal hideout where you can get beaten up and murdered any second, any time. You sure know some attractive holiday spots Vipes". I joked sarcastically with a smile.

"It's only for the night". Viper convinced me. "Besides, it's either that or camp outside near the city boarders".

Okay, that's a good point I suppose. Even with one of us as lookout outside the city, the chances of being robbed blind remained likely, depending on who and what it was doing the robbing. I suppose that we have little choice considering out options.

I nodded my head and allowed her to lead the way. Ten minutes later, we found ourselves checking into a small bed and breakfast called The Salty Weasel... Can't say I'm crazy about that name though. The place on the outside looked run down. bits of stone and concrete had been chipped away, the tiles on the roof weren't properly aligned, and I'm not even going to comment on the weird smell coming off of the place. Still, at least the inside looked slightly nicer. Slightly. A lone red carpet stretched along the middle of the long rectangular hallway leading to the reception desk. Not to mention that the place was warm on the inside. Trust me. Being cold blooded does you little favours. Still, on the plus side, once our room had been booked, we were then free to take whatever supplies we had been given by the captain at the prison, and head on over to what was meant to be our room for the night, room number 23, and settle down for the night aon what appeared to be two single beds, and nothing else. Charming. Still, that didn't mean that I could just slither onto the nearest bed and fall asleep. There was still one or two things I had to ask Viper. Yet before I could, she spoke first on a different subject.

"So Mike". She begun, sporting a serious look.

"Yes"? I replied back bluntly.

"It's not that I doubt you, but exactly what is it you're hoping to discover, talking to the soothsayer"?

In truth, the answer was that I don't know what it was I was going to figure out, but there was something about her that she knew, that much I was sure about. Why had I recieved a vision of her, and why did it link to the Mèngyǎn? Everytime I thought about it, my senses urged me that she could help me, in some way. I just needed to find out exactly what...

"I just need for you to trust me with this Viper". I responded as I looked to her, slithering to meet her face to face. "I can't say that I know exactly what I'm looking for, but I know enough for me to put all of my judgement onto it. But I can say that this journey isn't all for nothing".

In her eyes, my answer did not satisfy her fully, but at least she was willing to play the part of being there for me and confirming it with her friendly smile and nod. It was as good as one could have hoped for. I sighed. Questioning her could wait another hour or so...

"So, what do you think everyone's doing at the Jade palace right now"? I asked, hoping to just have a normal conversation that doesn't involve possible life threatening missions, specifacally mine.

Viper smiled again. "I'm not too sure. Given the time, I'd imagine that they're cooking dinner probably. As long as bandits aren't attacking".

"Yeah"... I smirked, imagining Po trying to fight a group of bandits whilst eating noodles at the same time. It would fit his character well. "Well, I'm going to get some sleep. I think I need it after the last few nights of night watch".

With those words, I did not hesitate to climb onto my large comfy bed while Viper decided to put the supplies away. I would help, but, you know... sleeping is kind of a big yes right now... I wasted no time in getting underneath my own covers, resting my head on the large pillow and was ready to fall asleep...

Or at least I would have if I hadn't been hearing someone whispering outside. Too quiet to make out what it was they were saying, but still it caught both mine and Vipers attention.

"Mike, I think someone's right outside the window". Viper spoke suspiciously as she eyed the window which was covered with a pair of pink curtains. I however had a theory.

"Well we are on the first floor. It's just probably some random guys hanging around or something"... I closed with a yawn and put my head on the pillow. Then, Hell broke loose.

In less than a second, something smashed right through the window! The shattering of glass broke me from my exhausted state as I found the intruder to be some kind of armored snake! A cobra! And he wasn't the only one! At least another two broke through the same window while two dropped down from the ceiling behind us, how we didn't notice them in the first place I have no idea, but they were keeping us from retreating through the door. Most of them focused on my as they cornered me as I kept on my bed, now in a kung fu stance and Viper did the same. As surprised as I was, I was more angry as just one single question ran through my mind.

"Why for all that is holy can I NEVER GET ANY GODDAMN SLEEP IN THIS WORLD"?!

...

Hi everyone, how's it going? Okay, few things I have to say. First off, another gosh dang short chapter? I know guys, sorry. I'm having some trouble writing this part of the fan fic right now, and I'm guessing that it's boring you what with the lack of comments or whatever, but hey, fight scene, that should improve the mood? Right? Maybe a little? Well we'll see.

Also, yes it has been a while since the last chapter, sorry. I have a couple of good and bad points to explain though. Bad reason being, like I just mentioned, trouble writing, trying to make the story interesting. Good point being that a couple of authors have gotten in touch with me and have asked for my help in writing/proof reading their stories.

Honestly, I am impressed, and touched, that people are asking for my help with their own fanfics, I mean I'm not Shakespeare, and there are so many other people who can give so much better advise than I ever could, but to those authors, thank you so much. It means a lot that you would choose me for help and if you're reading this, then I wish you guys the best of luck with your stories when they're published. And again, thank you.

Cheerio!
