The hulking monstrosity swung its enormous claw right at me! If I hadn't jumped back in the nick of time I'm sure I'd have been cut into several meaty chunks. Its long boney meat hooks scraped at the rocky ground leaving a large gash. Despite barely getting out of the way of its attack I was almost frozen on the spot. And for good reason too. This... whatever it now was looked absolutely disgusting! It's body was soaked and covered in blood, flesh and gore and every movement it made looked unnatural and strange! The two skulls that made up what I assumed to be its face 'looked' directly at me with no emotion emitted from it. Its other arm made up of tentacles swung aimlessly in all directions as though trying to desperately grab anything they could find.
What was worse was that I was certain that anything I tried on this thing would have no effect whatsoever, at least anything kung fu-wise. The abomination looked like it could take a hail of bullets from a machine gun without so much as staggering. There was also the matter of exactly HOW the demons had somewhat merged to produce the sickening sight trying to kill me that kept swirling round in my head. Admittedly there was still so much that I didn't know about these things, but to see this strange 'ability' come out of nowhere was at the least shocking.
COme hUmAN… FACe YouR FAtE… It croaked out in its now broken, almost distorted sounding voice. FacE eTerNiTy...
Hell, if that thing was eternity, just end me now.
"Right then." I hissed. My shock began to wear off. I wasn't sure why, but right at that moment the weight of everything began to catch back up to me. From the very first day the Mèngyǎn and I first came face to face up to now. It had... been a strange and difficult journey yet I had made it through every single step. Oddly enough it wasn't the only thought to tumble through my mind. As though time itself had slowed down I had a moment to think on what the thing had called me. Human. How long had it been since my apparent human death, only to be transformed and sent into this strange new land by Oogway? Not all that long. Not even a year had gone by! Now here I was, expected to die once again.
I may have been arrogant and rash in my latest decisions, I'll admit that. But right now, faced with death, knowing that it's coming, I can come to one thought that I can agree with all the way. I am not ready to die a second time. And I'll do everything in my power to keep it that way. I formed into a defensive stance, ready to give this upcoming fight my all.
"Come on! I haven't got all day!"
The monster growled.

I'M BAAAAACK! Did you miss me? It's only been... slightly less than a year, wow. Time flies when you get a serious job and fun goes down the drain, doesn't it? So anyway yes, I'm back writing this story again, I did say I would finish it at some point and I will! Hopefully before the end of this year too... Still, worry not because the next chapter is already underway, this is just more of an update and a small build up to the last couple of chapters! As well as letting everyone know that... y'know that I'm also not dead. So, Cheerio for now and I will see you in the next, hopefully not too far off chapter.
