What Wasn't Told.
By: Samantha
Summary: Ryoma's thoughts and feelings as he waited to go back to his team. Based on the new OVA. Mild Spoilers for it.
Disclaimer: I do not own any of the characters in this story, nor do I own Prince Of Tennis.
Authors Note: I wrote this as my first ever Fan fiction last month and had know plans of every showing it to more then three people however since I was told it is good I am posting here for everyone to read. Sorry about it being so short, it was only ment to be a testing of my writing skills. At this point in time there is no plan to write more to this however if enough people want more I will think about it.
Ryoma POV:
Walking down the long hallway, Shoes soundless against the floor, he started to think of everything and everyone. Looking down at the ticket in his hand he wasn't sure why he had agreed to go, maybe part of him still cared about them. Know he had known from the moment had agreed that, that was the reason. Even during his matches at the US Open his thoughts always strayed back to them, his team mates. For Ryoma leaving his Team and going to the US Open was never something he had truly wanted to do, he wanted more to stand at there sides at the nationals and this was his chance to do just that.
Ryoma had been awakened that morning at 3:00Am by the sound of his Cell Phone ringing next to the bed. Ryoma had known that the only ones to call him that late were the people he had left behind in Japan, Not that Ryoma had every really told them what time it was so it wasn't really as if they ment to wake him up in the middle of the night when they called to check in on him. What had surprised Ryoma however was /who/ was on the other side, it wasn't his team mates like he had first thought but his old coach. Even more surprising was what she had asked of him.
It seems during one of the practice matches the day before Kawamura had injured his wrist and needing eight players to stay in or face being disqualified she had called the first person who came to mind, Him.
Lucky enough for Ryoma the US Open had finished that same day so without looking back he was on his way to the nationals and a unexpecting team. She hadn't exactly said that they didn't know about him coming but she did drop a big enough hint that his arrival would be unknown to everyone but the two of them. Ryoma wondered just how much they had improved and most of all if they would be as happy to have him back as he was to be going back.
Looking down at his plane ticket once more, Ryoma Noticed he only had a few more minutes before they called to start boarding. Picking up his bag and swinging it on to his back he began to walk over at the gate, Half way there he stopped he looked out the huge windows behind him and took one final look at America before turning back around. He was going home more importantly he was returning to his family, the Seigaku Tennis team.
End Note: How was it? Terrible? I tryed so hard to only use things that were seen and told in the anime and OVA but I didn't want to lose Oishi like in the OVA so I replaced him with Kawamura. I also ran with the way Ryoma felt before leaving, he didn't want to it was the pressure of the others that made him go.
