*clap hand emoji* Review *clap hand emoji* Time
123ABIR123: Tokyo ghoul, evangelion, fate series? Sorry, no.
Sorna-Raptor: Understood, this comment is what I was asking for from the beginning, actual criticism of writing error or bad unnecessary writing, you got it my friend, I'll drop it and correct those early chapters when I have time. Thank you for your contribution.
keybladelight: I'll see what I can do. As for the data organization XIII chamber? I already had something very similar in my plan, as I've mentioned the word "Arena". (Try and guess, people. I didn't put the word there for nothing.)
Make Ruby fighting Master Xehanort? I don't think I will do that. Yozora? That depends.
FF7 remake Cloud vs Sephiroth full fight? In considered.
Super heavy weapons guy: Samurai Jack is on the list my friend, it's also my brother's favorite cartoon. I mean, who can resist Aku? He's funny.
barrera2009: Doom 2016 or Eternal? I'll see what I can do, would probably just do a timeline explain.
deku62802: final fantasy xv trailers? You do realize by asking trailers, it means I might have to show the world, right? I'll see what I can do, if it doesn't interest me enough, then no.
Gematron: Same to you, wish you great with your fic.
Marele Solomonar: Robocop? I'll see what I can do, but I need to get my hand on the movie first.
FinchFlyingAce: Ben 10 or Generator Rex? Pokemon or Avatar the Last Airbender? I do have Ben 10 (only OG)and Pokemon in my plan, Avarta I am trying to get my hand on it too.
kept123: infinity war and end game? I believe it's almost impossible to do these without sort out the context first. I'll… attempt, which I might fail miserably, I believe user: Katana of the Blade might be able to do this react better than me.
Hecseferblade: last of us 2 and goblin slayer? I won't do Last of Us 2, but I will do Last of Us, just not the second game, no. I refuse. Goblin Salyer? Maybe.
nliochristou: I'll see what I can do with the COD series, however, I really am not confident about writing fps game into text.
Daybit Sem Void: Naruto? Oof, big oof, Naruto is another anime that never hits with me. I am sorry, I tried, but I just feel bland, dull even after watching it. I'll give those scenes another try, but I don't think I'll feel like it ever.
triscythe59: DoingPersona is fine, but react to music, that's what I am poor about, as everyone's option am music is literally unique, I'll see if I can make it. but no promise.
Damn Daniel: Doom or Bloodborne? As I said, I'll consider Doom. But Bloodborne is a no, especially when it just recently being done in Alvaaron's react fic.
Yisuslol23: Well get to the curse that Link, Ganondorf, and Zelda share eventually. I didn't pick LoZ series for no reason.
bagus joy: I am sorry, what? you mean something about The Hobbit, right? Might need to be more specific when you try to suggest, and no, sorry. I have no interest in this series.
irememberthis3: Sorry, I won't do Dragon Ball no matter what, I just don't like it.
Guest: Another helpful criticism here, I'll keep those in mind from now on, and I'll try to fix this grammar error in the future. And yes, those 7 prologues I am going to leave them there as forever haunting evidence.
wade33137: We'll go back to Sonic soon.
Kleave guy: Skyrim or trailer? I'll see what I can do.
Greer123: I am doing okay. But what hurts me now is that I have to put this story down for the time being.
Qrow: "So… what did you prepare this time?"
EXRB: "Simple, by duplicating the world you just saw, I am going to send a few of you to experience it first hand. However… there is good news and bad news. Which do you wanna hear first?"
They look at others uncertain, until Ruby asks. "Umm… good news?"
EXRB: "This action is totally safe, by altering the system, you'll be like inside a video game directly, if you happen to die unfortunately, you'll just teleport back here as nothing ever happened."
Jaune: "Bad news?"
EXRB: "It comes with restriction. In this world, there are still active goddesses who still protect it, my plan was to put you guys in, which are people who don't belong to Hyrule. In order to do so, we come to an agreement of duplicating a Hyrule for you to experience, this way I won't interfere with the origin world in any way, cause such action is considered a huge disrespect toward most gods, gods usually don't like their order and balance being disturb. And when provoked, we god usually reacts in a none reasonable way. In simple words: s**t hits the fan. AKA, someone might die."
They look at others again, not sure how to react to this information. However, Ozpin and Salem had a huge bad taste in their mouth, Salem especially.
Coco: "If you don't mind me asking, what are the restrictions?"
EXRB: "... Even if this is a duplicate world, I still have to let destiny play itself, that's one thing the Goddesses of Hyrule refuse to budge. I can drop you people in, but that's it, I am to not guiding you nor provide any side power or whatsoever. You are on your own once you set foot in Hyrule. And..."
"And...?"
"The Goddesses of this world have chosen which of you can enter this world and who can't. This agreement wouldn't happen if I didn't agree with this condition." He answers with a frown.
Yang: "So, who's the one that can go in?"
*snap* *Drum Roll sound effect*
And multiple spotlights shine on certain groups.
Team RWBY
Team JNPR
Team CFVY
Sun, Neptune, Penny, Ilia, Oscar.
Port and Doctor Oobleck.
The chosen group have mixed feelings about this, but most of all, they are exciting. Port and Oobleck especially.
EXRB looks at the Huntsman duo. "It took me an extra debt just so you two can enter this world. I literally drop down on all four and bang my forehead at the ground just so they would allow you two to enter this world. And it's a miracle they accept."
The hard-earned opportunity EXRB had for Port and Oobleck was replied with a 90-degree bow and thanks from the bottom from both Huntsman.
"Hell yeah! This is going to be awesome!" Yang shot her fist up in the air.
"I wouldn't be that excited about that." The god suddenly says.
Nora: "Why? What's the problem?"
"How are you going to defend yourself in Hyrule?"
Ruby: "That's right! Our weapons! Can I have Crescent Rose back please?"
"No." EXRB simply says without any emotion.
"What! WHY! How-" Ruby's cry was put to hold as EXRB put his finger on her lips.
"Think about this. What, exactly, is your weapon?" EXRB removes his finger.
Ruby: "A customizer High-Caliber Sniper-Scythe." She answers without missing a beat.
"And what did Trivia tell you guys about the weapon of Hyrule?"
"Simple weapon." This time it was Jaune who answered.
"Unfortunately, most of your weapons would be considered as alien technology or witchcraft in Hyrule. So no, the goddesses don't allow any of your weapons, with the exception of dear Jaune here." EXRB snaps his finger as Crocea Mors is summoned in front of Jaune.
Jaune hesitantly takes his sword, but he swore he heard a very quiet "No fair" from Ruby and Nora.
Coco: "Great, does that mean we have to pick up a weapon that's not our style?" She and others that have unique weapons or using guns or unique fighting style tense up.
"Worries not, that part has been covered by me, I am not that cruel to let you kids re-learn your fighting style from the stretch, at least not today." The sentence was reassuring, until the last part came in.
"Not today?" Weiss raised an eyebrow.
"I'll admit, in some days, I would suddenly have a desire to watch the world and myself burning. For no reason."
...
They look at him as there really is a second head on his shoulder.
"I have problem, send help." EXRB's drop his head and shoulder, a visible dark cloud forming above his head.
Trivia: I believe we are off the topic, Sir.
"Yes yes yes, *ahem* Ignore the last few seconds. *cough* What's most important is, you don't have to worry about your arsenal, I've made sure to provide an alternative version to suit all your needs. That being said, including yours." EXRB coughs in his fist, quickly hide his blush, and looking at Crocea Mors, snaps his finger again.
*snap*
And Crocea Mors began to glow brightly, neon-blue light totems quickly covered it, and soon, the sword along with the shield disappeared in Jaune's hand.
…
…
"Was that supposed to happen?" It was Pyrrha who asked the question.
"Well, I kinda want to keep my upgrade on your weapons as a surprise. You'll see it once you are in Hyrule." Was all EXRB says, a cheeky smile presenting on his face. "Before I drop you in there is one last thing I need to inform you all."
Now the chosen teams had their attention on.
"No matter what happens, under all kinds of circumstances, DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT attempt to fight a Lynel unless it's the only way. If you see one, avoid it at all cost, and for the sake of all that is pure and love, avoid Golden-Lynel like your life depends on it. And please keep that in mind." EXRB was getting closer and closer to them with each word out, while aggressively gesturing his hands to emphasize how serious he is with his word.
Nora: "What's a Lynel?"
"Your absolute worst death. Avoid it at all costs, if you have to run on water to do so, then run on water. Same with jumping off a cliff."
Yang: "Can't you at least tell us what it looks like?"
"No." Was the last thing they heard before everything went black.
The chosen group just suddenly disappeared.
"Huh, so it IS one of those days where I want to be a little bit evil." Was all EXRB says.
…
'It is official, he had problem.' That was all the remaining cast's thought.
"Alright, no times like others, I've been waiting for this moment for so long." EXRB began motioning his arms and hands, as the cinema room began to shake. "Please stay in your seat and keep your hands in, cause we are about to make some major reconstruction as well as re-decoration of the room."
- Playing soundtrack: The Grand Divine Beast - The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild
The huge screen sink back into the wall, as well as the file cases, the sofa they were seat in moving on its own, and soon it began to form a circle around the center of the room, and line-gaps began to form on the center of the floor, slowly, the line drawing what appears to be a complex glyph circle, once the line is complete, the ground began to rise up, unfolding the machine part, it extended out until it finally transformed.
- music ends.
An artificial voice began to speak. (Just Imagine J.A.R.V.I.S's voice from Iron Man.)
[World Simulation System, activate, adjust system, please wait.]
Light began to activate around the machine. And the floor below their seats began to rise up.
[Initiate The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. exe.]
And a projectile of Hyrule's landscape began to form in the center.
[Sequence complete, now began simulating Land of Hyrule.]
The Master seat rising up, as EXRB sits down on it.
"How do you like your new voice? Trivia?"
[I would much prefer less British accent. I am an assistant, not a butler.]
"We can always discuss that later, now, with the preparation completed, we may begin the react."
Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild
Hyrule Kingdom.
- location: unknown.
Darkness. There was darkness, and darkness only, as far as eyes can see, there is nothing but pitch void, without a sound, without a life, a deadly, eerie silence.
Until a light pierces in, bright, golden-lights pierces into the darkness, shining more and more in the center, like a star in the midst of midnight. It was harsh, yet welcoming, a sense of warmth began to flow through, the light seemed to beckon itself, making it hard to ignore.
A voice, muffed at first, began to speak.
…
…
...W…...up….
…
…
...Wa..e….p…
…
…
...Wake up…
…
...Open your eyes...
Jaune lay motionless on a stone bed, he showed no motion, until his body began to stir.
And then he opens his eyes.
The first thing that came to his vision was blue light.
A few seconds later, his eye adjusted to the light, and images began to form, a fixture of some sort, attached to the ceiling, the blue light that was coming from the fixture, was staring at him.
He wasn't sure what to think, as all that in his mind is fuzzy, blur, however, one thing is for sure. There is a wall of cloudy mist surrounding his mind, as he feels like his mind was forcefully shut down by other forces.
What happened?
His other senses began to take hold. Rising on his back, Jaune's mind was still a blur, what happened?
Where is he?
[Beep]
The unfamiliar beeping sound of a machine was all that took for Jaune's mind to wake up, he immediately stood up on his feet, and took the best fighting stance he could measure up.
Scanning the room, he was alone in a dark room, with dimming blue coming from the fixture on the ceiling as the only light source. It was fairly weak, but enough for him to make out the room he is in, sighing, he dropped his stance.
He looked back at where he slept on, it was a simple stone bed, yet, he didn't feel any hardness from it. "Where… am I? I remember… Gah! Pyrrha! Nora! Ren!"
"Guys! Where are you!" Jaune began yelling, hoping that he could hear a reply or any sort, but there comes none.
Little panic butterflies began forming in his already sensitive stomach.
But his mind tells him to remain calm, as he takes a deep breath.
The taste of humid and dust is what his taste bud identity, whatever place he is in, this place is damp.
He began to scan himself, he was still in his Huntsman clothes. It seems nothing was changed. Good.
Scanning the room for the second time, using whatever info his eyes can spot, he tries to make out what this place is. Swirl and whorl texture filled the floor, with dimming orange light that looks like constellations on the wall being the other source of light, the pillar resting in the four corners of the room is filled with the same swirl texture.
And then he noticed it, a stand of some sort, looming with the faint blue light, sitting right beside a gate of some sort. And besides the stand, is a backpack with some simple supplies, and change clothes.
Jaune hesitantly walked close to the stand. And then it all comes back to him.
The stand looks exactly like the one he saw in the reaction.
The things they saw in the trailers.
Mr. EXRB sent them to Hyrule.
'The Sheikah Slate...' A voice suddenly speaks.
"Gah! W-who's there!" Jaune immediately turns back, hoping that the voice is just his paranoid pulling prank on him.
To his relief, he spots no one.
"What was that?" Looking back to the stand, Jaune is starting to have a bad feeling.
'The Sheikah Slate.' The voice suddenly speaks again.
That voice again, was he hallucinating already?
Then, as if hearing the invisible voice, the blue line on the stand brightens up, the center section extends up, and it rotates, the center part flips around and rises up.
And a familiar Sheikah eye symbol is now staring at him.
'That is a Sheikah Slate. take it. It'll help guild you after your long slumber.' The voice speaks again, this time, instructing Jaune to take the object.
This was confusing, Jaune can not put a face or name on the voice, he swore he must have heard it before, his mind tells him, yet nothing comes to mind.
'Slumber?'
Shaking his head, he carefully takes the Sheikah Slate, and holds it with both hands. Prof- Ahem. Dr. Oobleck was right, this thing is very similar to Scroll. Only that it can't shrink down to a small size.
Suddenly, the screen on the Slate lights up, and the Sheikah eye symbol appears on the screen, following with a mysterious jingle.
The stand that was holding the Slate retorted itself back, and the nearby gate started to rumble. Multiple polls rise up, revealing an exit path to Jaune.
With no better option, Jaune can only hope this is not some sort of trap.
Moving out of the room he is in, he comes into a hall of some sort, as fifteen gates just like his resting from the left and right of his room, a much bigger gate located at the opposite side of his room. Several light-looking crystals hanging on the wall, provided barely enough light in the room. In the center, was another stand of some sort, but was much bigger, and is attached to a machine of some sort.
"Where am I?" Jaune wonders how many times he is going to repeat that for the rest of the day.
*rumbles*
A gate rose up, and Blake's voice called out. "Hello? Anyone there?"
"Blake!" Jaune's voice was filled with happiness and relief, at least, a friend he knows.
"Jaune? Where are we?" Blake's voice was filled with relief, she thought she and her team were separate, but it looked like it wasn't the case.
"I wish I knew." And the blonde lowers his shoulder in defeat, even the sharpest one like Blake had no idea where they are.
Blake, however, was examining the room and Jaune, and she noticed he had a Sheikah Slate like her. "You got one too?"
Broken out from his thoughts, Jaune looks at the Sheikah Slate Blake holds in hand. "Yeah." He looks down at his, a thought crosses his mind. "Wait, Blake, would you… happened to hear a voice speaking to you?"
"Yeah…" Blake hesitates for a moment, as if she was thinking something, but she quickly dismisses it. "hum, looks like you got the elf ears too."
"Huh?"
Jaune began to touch where his ears located, and instead of the old shape he was pretty sure he was familiar with, his hand touched a new shape.
"Huh?"
"I got one too, and looks like my Faunus trails are gone." Blake speaks while pointing at her now elf-nized human ears and the top of her head, where her cat ears once stood. "Looks like we are in Hyrule. But the question is where?"
*rumbles*
Another gate rises up. "Hellllllo?~~~" Nora's voice suddenly called, then her head popped out from the room. "Hey fearless leader! And Blakey!"
*more rumbles*
Then the door to their left and right rise up, as familiar faces show up, soon, everyone is in the hall, all except Penny, Professor Port, and Dr. Oobleck. As there is no sign of their appearance or trace.
- Meanwhile, in the cinema room.
Glynda: "If you don't mind us asking, where are they currently?"
"The shrine of Resurrection, that's all I am going to say, and currently, they are underground."
Taiyang: "Where is Peter and Bart?"
"Somewhere that's not close to their current location. We'll see those two eventually, they are fine and they can take care of themselves."
Winter: "But, why there? surely you can send my sister and her friends to a better place? Why put them in such a place, and make them wake up individually?"
EXRB sigh first. "It's one of the conditions the Goddesses make me agree, now, let's watch the story."
- back with the group.
After a discussion season, they decide it's not gonna help them by sitting here, Penny and Prof. Port, and Dr. Oobleck could be around somewhere, best if they leave this place first. Then they could start looking around.
They were now inspecting the device located in the center of the hall.
"So, what do you think?" Coco asks the intelligentsia of the group, Weiss, Neptune.
"To be completely fair with you, if what EXRB told us this thing is powered by magic, then I have no idea what this could be." Weiss messages her temper, this object is unlike anything she ever saw, or more correctly, the Sheikah technology.
"What she says, the only thing I am sure is it could be activated by the Sheikah Slate, see that rectangle hole?" Neptune points at the hole that looks exactly like the one they get the Slate from. "Besides, the gate there could be opened up once we activate this thing, I mean… our room works that way it seems."
"Well, here goes nothing." Coco brings up her Sheikah Slate. "You guys might wanna step back, who knows what this stuff could do?" They do as she says, take a safe distance.
Coco put the Slate in the slot, and immediately, the stand activated, rotating around, and placing the smooth surface upward, the orange light replaced with blue, the line on the object came to life, and an artificial voice spoke, but it was a familiar voice to them.
[Authenticating...]
Ruby: "Huh? Penny?"
[Sheikah Slate Confirmed.]
*rumbles*
[User: Coco Adel. Distilling rune...]
The ceiling opens up, a stalactite-like device craved with an alien text and a Sheikah eye lower down. And it began to light up, seeming to flow down in imitation of water, they trickled to the blunt point of the pillar, and finally, a single drop of the water goes down, landing directly on top of Coco's Sheikah Slate, right on the eye of Sheikah, like eye drops.
[Rune: Gianduja, summoned.]
Immediately, the device attached to the stand lit up, and floating blue text started gathering in the center of the device, like a charging light bud, soon it began to take shapes. A few seconds later, a familiar black handbag looking object with the eye of Sheikah print on the back appears on where the lights once were.
"Wait, is this… my weapon?" Coco reaches out, she hesitantly grabs the handbag. The familiar feeling and weights confirm Coco's doubt, it was Gianduja. But now with a different look.
[Distilling rune: P.E.N.N.Y...]
Another wave of lights flows down the pillar once more, and after the Sheikah Slate gets another eye drop. A cheerful voice speaks.
[Hello, friends, it's me, Penny!]
"Penny?!" They yell in union.
- Back in the cinema room.
Pietro: "Penny? What did you do?"
"Well, I just temporarily turned little Penny into an assistance system, as for why? Since Penny's fighting style is too unique, even if I made her remain human, the way she wields her weapons is going to raise questions no matter where she goes. Thus, this is the best method I can come up with." EXRB speaks while typing something on a keyboard he summoned. "I upgraded all their weapons to fit in with this world, since back in the days, the Sheikah's did create transformation weapons, I just built their weapons in Sheikah's method. This way, even if someone were to asks, they could pass the question with it."
Pietro: "I see, although I wish Penny could experience this world on her own."
EXRB: "You win some, you lose some, but in all honestly? I am a sore loser, so I give her more function to boot, not telling you what it is, but she'll get her time to shine."
Ironwood: "So you basically give their weapon an upgrade?"
"Yeah, but not without a downside, you see: the Sheikah Slate is a powerful tool, but it has limitations like all force. The weapon of Sheikah was mostly powered by magic, but once it runs out, it'll need a recharge until it can function again. Or else you'll have an overpowerful weapon that could kill everything casually. Which, would just sound like a badly designed gaming mechanics."
(AN: Here is a more clear explanation: In Botw, all weapons had their durability, once it reached 0, the weapon broke apart. Since RWBY cast's weapon is way more advanced and durable than anything Hyrule had, and I can't gust make them go snap. I make them function like what Master Sword did in Botw, it runs out of energy instead of breaking, and would require recharge before using again.
Also, by making their weapon powered by Sheikah magic, this way gun-based weapons like Ruby, Ren or Coco won't need to worry about ammo, cause I sincerely doubt anyone in Hyrule can make bullets, perhaps Purah, but even then I doubt she can produce enough for their need. Gun based weapons still need recharge. And I also make it so they can use the Sheikah Slate to change the bullet type, aka, like dust. Same goes for Wiess's Myrtenaster. But the type of ammo is limited to just fire, ice, thunder, wind, explosive, and Hard-Light aka Sheikah)
"Reasonable enough." Ironwood mused. That's very thoughtful on his part. While he doesn't doubt these children's capability, life doesn't work that way, this way they could have a proper challenge as well as the first experience of the real field.
"I also took away their Semblances, can't have them having an overpowering advantage on their side. But I did leave them their Aura. Can't just drop the hard mode on them now. Can I?"
- back with the amazed group.
The group have got their Sheikah Slate the eye drops, now with their trusty weapon by their side. (Their weapon all received a Sheikah-nized upgrade.
Crescent Rose having its blade changed to a light-energy blade. Aside from that, the function is exactly the same, even the weight. Her ammo set being Fire, Ice, Wind, Lightning.
Myrtenaster, having its blade changed to a light-energy blade as well, the Dust chamber however was already filled with Dust-like ammos. Weiss, to her own credit, figured most of what elements contained in the vials, it was thanks to that EXRB put the vial in the same way of her personal order preferences. Wind, Lightning, Ice, Fire, Hard-light(Sheikah), with the last vial contains a dark-purple colored energy that she doesn't know what the element could be.
Gambol Shroud's blade and the ribbon is now light-energy, the gun part is still the same, ammo set: Fire, Ice, and Sheikah.
Ember Celica remains the same way, that was what Yang thoughts at first. Until she tried it on, it received a much bigger change, instead of being a punching gauntlet like the original, the hand part has an extended Hard-Light out layer protection, doubles the protection, as well as the offensive. The shotgun ammo function remains the same, but there is a new remote grenade function to boot.
Crocea Mors received the most change… only on the shield, the blade is still the same, but the shield has been upgraded with a Dust-function-like system, with 5 chamber vials equipped: Fire, Ice, Lightning, Wind, Sheikah. (AN: I basically just upgrade it to Volume 6's state)
Magnhild, much to everyone's relief, didn't receive any crazy upgrade, only a charge up function for the Hammer mode, allowing her to create an element strike after charging. (ex: Blasting enemy with wind or fire, freezing with ice, or stun with electric field. Release upon collision.)
Miló and Akoúo̱, Miló's blade was changed to light-energy, and a Spetum-like extended blade function for spear mode, for more defense. (Please look up the Ancient Spear in Botw if you want a reference.) The rifle is still the same function. However, Akoúo̱ received an extended Sheikah shield function. (Look up Sheikah Shield in Botw, ps: not to be confused with guardian shield.) Which she also received with a note saying: [Can't ever be too careful. You are good, but you never know what might happen.]
StormFlower's blade received an extended extra blade, making the melee range two times. And the blade can flip around and shoot out like a grappling hook. Giving Ren more mobility options. Ren was surprised when he saw his father's dagger was here too, sheltered in, the blade didn't get any change, but it was polished up, a thin green aura emitting on the blade. But what made Ren lose his composure was the next thing he received… his father's bow. With a note said: [Took me a while to recover this thing. No need to thanks.]
Gianduja, as mentioned earlier on.
Sharp Retribution, it's elbow blade not only received Sheikah-nized, but it can shoot out blade energy projectiles with charge up.
Anesidora, much to Velvet's surprise, the weapon's functionality was directly downloaded in the Sheikah Slate, which she found out the Slate can be used as a camera.
Fulcrum, much to Yatsuhashi's relief, didn't receive changes like the others. In which EXRB respects his wishes to keep his style simple.
Ruyi Bang and Jingu Bang received the Sheikah-nized upgrade, however, it was added with a new form, Boomerang. With a note from EXRB that says: Better start getting familiar with this function, it'll help in the long run.
Tri-Hard gets the same treatment as most others, no new functionality tho.
Lightning Lash, same treatment, no new functionality.
Oscar was given a Sheikah-nized shovel as his weapon.)
Now they are well equipped, there is just one question that needs clarification.
"He what?!" Coming from a shocked Weiss.
[Mr. EXRB had given me a file of what condition we are in, currently, everyone's Semblances was disabled, but once you reached a certain condition, it will resort.] Explaining by Penny.
Sun: "What condition would that be?"
[Mr. EXRB didn't mention anything about that, all he says is: Enjoy your adventure. That's it.]
Weiss can only pinch her nose bridge in annoyance, she can't tell if the man is a god or a demon.
- Back in the cinema room.
EXRB: "Actually, I am a bit of both." His causally answer leaves the people seated beside him to want to move a few blocks away. Which is the unfortunate Qrow, and Salem.
- back with the group.
[But… he did mention we still have Aura, in which we would be in 'Master mode' if he disables that too.] Penny says. [Another important thing is that our Aura can't protect us from high falling now, so no jumping off a cliff without proper tools.]
Yang: "No idea what this 'Master mode' is, but I am happy we have our Aura." She says, equipping her now Sheikah-nized Ember Celica. With the ancient weapon color scheme, and the Sheikah symbol printed on the right arm.
"Penny, do you know where or what this place is?" Ren asks.
[According to the info I was given with, this is the Shrine of Resurrection, this was a place built by ancient Sheikah. The Shrine of Resurrection has a feature called: 'The Slumber of Restoration'. When an individual is placed within the Shrine of Resurrection's bed, they will slowly be healed by the Shrine. If an individual's injuries are severe enough, they can be placed in a long-term stasis known as the Slumber of Restoration wherein their body is healed but they do not age.
Here is the original story of Link's adventure. After Link sustained fatal injuries during a devastating event, he was placed in the Slumber of Restoration inside the Shrine of Resurrection to heal his wounds. However, Link loses his memories in the process.]
"Wait what?"
Questions immediately burst like an endless torrent.
- back in the cinema room.
Ozpin: "So, this place can revive those who have unfortunately passed away?" He was hoping if they could use this to heal Amber.
"Incorrect, it heals wounds, not revives them, if the person is dead by the time they were put in, all you get is a recovered corpse." Well, that's better than nothing. all they need is to convince EXRB that they NEED to use this technology.
"However, the process is very slow. As it was powering the body's self-healing function. Not using outside force or magic. Link's healing took 100 years."
Hazel: "So that's why the trailer says what happened 100 years ago."
"Yeah, the script I made here for them is that they are appointed warriors defending the Kingdom of Hyrule 100 years ago, but the event of Calamity Ganon's return strike in surprise, and they all end up received fatal wounds, they were put in Shrine of Resurrection, and now 100 years passed. I know it was lazy, but it worked."
Ghira: "Was that what happened to Link?"
"Yeah. But the difference now is that: Link is alone, but they have each other." EXRB replies while smiling.
- back in the Shrine of Resurrection.
Suddenly, another rumble happens.
The floor in front of the huge gate opens up, another pillar pedestal emerges out. Revealing another room with another gate.
'Hold the Sheikah Slate up to the pedestal. That will show you the way.' The bodiless voice speaks once again. Scared the group again. They wonder if they'll ever get used to this bizarre situation.
[I believe what the voice means is follow the lead the Sheikah Slate gives.] Penny speaks, through Ruby's slate.
Yang: "Looks like it's our only way then."
With no better option, this time Ruby holds her Sheikah Slate to the pedestal. The orange lights change to blue, as if to identify activation.
[Authenticating...]
[Sheikah Slate confirmed.]
Once the voice is finished, the Sheikah eye on the Gate lights up, as the multi-lock gate unlocking. The strong pillar starts rising up, and the light starts to come in, winds breeze blows in, revealing their way outside.
Yang: "Alright, now we can get out of this place."
But just then the light shines in through the gate and seems to get brighter.
'Jaune...' The voice speaks again, this time, calling the goofy knight, startle him again.
'Ruby...' This time Ruby had her shoulder tense up. 'Pyrrha...' The voices go on, addressing their names one by one.
They make no move, still not sure how they should act.
'You are the Light - Our Light - that must shine upon Hyrule once again. Now go...' That, was the last word the voice said before the light died down, returning to normal sunlight.
Coco: "K… that's uneasy… and vague. Light? We are Light?"
[Worries not, friends Coco, I know what this means.]
Coco: "Enlight us then."
[From what EXRB said in the info, this is a duplicate Hyrule, so we replaced Link's position. So instead of his adventure like the origin, we are the ones playing the adventure.]
Fox: "Wait, so essentially, we are living his story then?"
[Correct.]
Yang: "Huh, that's cool, what's the script then?"
[There isn't any script given to us, we… took charge of our own story. That's what EXRB says.]
Weiss: "Excuse me? But we are in a land where we know barely anything about."
"That's the point!" Blake suddenly speaks, louder than she normally is.
- in the cinema room.
Ozpin: "I see, like an unfinished story, you give them the stage, now they just play the story itself." He was impressed, this is such a brilliant way to experience a story.
"Instead of a story, I would consider this as real life." EXRB answers while still typing on his keyboard.
Roman: "As impressive this is, does that mean we have to watch red's 24/7 life?"
"No, we have life too, instead of 24/7, this system allows us to directly skip through time, jump to the part that is interesting."
Sienna: "Skipping through time… how exactly is that possible."
"Magic, and remember, this is a simulator, right now as we are talking, it's already advanced several days for them. We have got enough highlight records we can watch."
Winter: "Urrg, this is slightly hurting my head." She massages her forehead.
"Strongly advise not thinking about it."
- back in the Shrine of Resurrection.
"Ok, from what we know, Link was on a quest trying to remember Hyrule, his homeland, but he lost his memory during the Slumber of Restoration." Blake explained.
Weiss: "And?"
"We know nothing about Hyrule, like Link."
Ruby: "I get it! We explore Hyrule like how Link did."
"And the best part is we play our own story!"
Neptune whispers to Sun. "Someone is geeking." Which Sun replies with a. 'Bro, let her be.'
Nora: "Like a real hero! YAY!"
Coco: "Not sure how it had to do with hero, but I'm game. Sounds interesting enough."
They began to voice their own thoughts, despite the unknown, they believe they've known enough from the trailer, in all, they believe they would be fine, they got the numbers.
Well… all except one.
All eyes fall on Weiss. As she is the only one that is skeptical for… well, being the typical Ice Queen herself.
"Urrrg fine, but if this ends up being a bad experience, I'll be the first to give EXRB a piece of my mind."
- in the cinema room.
"I'll hold you up to that promise!" He fake a shout at the projectiles, acting as Weiss would hear his reply, mocking.
- back in the Shrine of Resurrection.
Weiss: "Suddenly I feel like I want to do worse." Her eyebrows and eyes twitching, and the urgent to harden her knuckles.
"Okay, chill, Ice Princess, we need to exit this place." Yang speaks, earns her another "Hey!"
- outside of the Shrine of Resurrection.
Move out of the shrine, the warm sunlight washes on them, the air is fresh and crisps, the sound of rustling grass and leaves, followed by birds chirping and twittering, as if welcoming their uninvited arrival.
As if her body is acting on its own, Ruby rushes forward to the hill in front, she stops as her foot gets close to the edge, it is then she realizes they are not just on a cliff, but a giant plateau. Her friends soon follow after her.
Now, standing on the cliff, around them, is the Kingdom of Hyrule. A magnificent landscape that leaves their vocabulary dry.
The Kingdom of Hyrule seems so small on screen, but here, in person, they feel like they were the ones that get shrunk down, a giant world of vast variety greets their eyes, a small forest spread from the base of the cliff below. Movements in the trees and shrubbery exposed the presence of wildlife. Looking further, the edge of the mesa was bordered by man-made walls, although crumbled and worn out, no longer possessed their former glory. Beyond them, was a great castle, dominating the center of the green field. The castle reminds them of Beacon Academy, but far greater.
Looking even beyond, they see the black mist eddy the summit of a flat top burning volcano, it makes them wonder, was this land as small as EXRB's claims. To them, this place just seems endless. Looking to their right, they saw the great chasm created by two tall mountains that were shown in the trailer multiple times.
Turning a bit more right, they saw a ruin of what appears to be a building. Old and decayed, but judging by the location and the stone pillars in the front yard of the building, they guess it must be a place that was once for worship.
"Wow, just… wow" Was all Yang could come up with, she feels like a kid seeing the world for the first time again.
"It's beautiful..." Velvet had both hands cover her mouth from the shock, she and her teams have been on missions through Remnant, but never once they witness something like this.
Coco removes her shade, a sign she rarely does. She wants to watch this world with her eyes. "I… really had to hand it to that god, this is probably one of the beautifullest views I ever saw." Not just her, they all share the same thoughts.
- in the cinema room.
Summer: "Awww, I really hope I was there." She pouted, she was back to life, but now seeing something like this, it makes her willing to do anything to experience the spring breeze through her body.
"Sorry, I really wish I could send you all there. But the goddesses of Hyrule had other plans."
- back at the plateau.
"Wait, Fox, are you crying?" Coco was half laughing, half concerned.
"Give me a break, Coco, I was given vision just today, and now I am seeing something beautiful like this." Fox is trying his best to stop the tears escaping his eye stock, he isn't sobbing, but the tears are coming strong.
"Okay okay, sheesh, take your time buddy, tho, do you need tissues?" Coco was milking this moment.
"Coco, don't antagonize our teammates." Again, Velvet finds herself being the mediator.
"This is SOOOOOOO Exciting! I can't wait to explore this world! What kind of fun activity do they have? What kind of food do they eat? Do they have their own pancake? I wanna try out their pancake!" Nora is bouncing around Ren at a rapid speed, who just stands still, eye closed, his mouth smiling yet frowning at the same time, as if accepting the fact the day from now on is going to be even more challenging than it already is.
"As beautiful as this moment is, I believe it is afternoon right now, we need to find civilization or a place to stay overnight, or find food and a place to camp." Weiss, Being the reasonable one, and the strictly scheduled follower, notice the sun is at the east of the sky.
"Okay, Ice Princess, how do you suggest to us then?" Yang rolls her eyes.
"Well, we can start by searching for the sign of civilization, or roads."
"Orrr… we could use the Sheikah Slate's guide, remember? Wasn't that what Link was supposed to do in his story?"
"And how long would that lead take us before we find people?"
"Come on Weiss, this is like a free exploration game, there is no correct choice or guide, we are supposed to experience?"
"But-"
"Guys!" It was Sun who cut off their argument. "Look."
Following where his hand points at, they saw a fire, man-made camp-fire, sheltered under a lean-to of stones. Not far away, the shape of a man with a walking stick walks toward the camp.
"Looks like our first clue." Neptune spoke.
Yang and Weiss, mostly Weiss, were about to speak, but were cut off by Coco.
"I dunno about your team, but I have a hunch we can get a good idea where we are from that man."
With no better option, and argument, they move toward the man, who is now sitting by the fire.
It was a short walk, when they got close, they could make out the man's appearance, he was old, if the overly grown white beard isn't an obvious enough hint. His eyes however, were covered by his brown-green hood.
The old man just sitting beside his fire, his body made no movement nor stirring, however, his head just made a slight shift to show he was at least aware that he got visitors. It was hard to tell if the man was watching them or not.
However, when they got closer to the fire, their attention was captured by a sweet, hot, delicious aroma. Invading their nostrils, making their mouth water against their own will.
A quick search, and the source was a tree branch held in the man's hand, reached out at a perfect distance with the fire, on the end was a big apple, and beside the man was two other apples, already roasted.
Nora, to her own credit, restrains her desire to quickly snatched one and taste the delicious scent that keeps luring her.
To any outsider, it might feel like just a few seconds, but to them, it felt as if minutes had passed already. They weren't sure what they should say, would it be suspicious if a group of 16 people was traveling, but asking for direction or their whereabouts? Or if they can't answer stuff that is considered common knowledge? Was Hyrule's moon whole even?
When they were gathering their greeting. As if noticing their hesitating, the old man beat them to it.
"Oho ho!" Cried the old man with a familiar enthusiasm and cheerfulness that rivals Port's. "Well met, strangers! It's rather unusual to see another soul in these parts."
Well, at least he was friendly, that's a plus, so now they just need a good enough greeting and it would be perfect.
"Oh, umm... hello... I am R-Ruby, Ruby Rose, and you are?" Or leave it to the experience-less Ruby to awkwardly greet simply.
The old man paused for a moment as if considering answer Ruby's question. His eyes, still covered by his hood, make it hard for them to tell what real thoughts lie underneath his expression.
"Me?" He mused first, but let out a laugh afterward. "I'll spare you my life story. I am just but an old fool who has lived here, along, for quite some time now. What brings a group of bright-eyes travelers like you to a backcountry place like this?" He slight turned his head, and they can see his eyes, colore in ocean-blue.
The first quiz: Why were they here? Judging by his wording, this place must be rather remote.
But right at this Blake notices a problem, this is a question answered with a question. The place they wake up, if this man lives here alone for quite a while, does he know about the Shrine of Resurrection? Moreover, could he be some sort of gatekeeper of this place? What if he knows they are lying? This man doesn't appear to be showing any hostility, but that doesn't mean they should trust him blindly.
Without any better option, Blake takes a leap of faith.
"My name is Blake. We are a group of explorers from a far land of the west, our goal was to explore every part of Hyrule and recording everything we came across. We were just passing through here, although, we have been a bit lost at this part." There, this should sound believable enough, it does feel wrong lying, but Blake answers the question with half-truth, their goal here was to explore and experience the Land of Hyrule, they don't need to elaborate more than they should.
In any case, the old man still released a friendliness in a way she couldn't explain. Her mind keeps mentioning that she has seen this person before. But Blake was very sure she never met anyone who looked like him back in Remnant.
Right behind Blake, Ilia was looking at her… old friend, it was very strange for her, she thought such a day would never ever happen again. But here she is, by Blake's side again, with a Schnee in the mix mind you.
Blake's level-headed was one thing she finds admirable (As long as there is no personal matter in between.), back in days Blake knew how to approach a task properly. Seeing her taking that kind of lead once more makes Ilia's heart bumping.
- in the cinema room.
Sienna: "Almitola's personal feeling aside, I've noticed that some of them react unusually to certain things. Is this your doing?" She takes note of what Blake reacts to the old man and the blonde goof's reaction to the voice. They have never met those people before, yet their mind acts as they should know them.
EXRB: "If I have a say on this, I mostly wouldn't allow this to happen, I slightly alert their memory, just put a faint & fake memory in the deep part of their mind."
Ozpin: "In order to mimic Link's loss of his memories?"
EXRB: "It was very hard, they never belonged to this world, yet, in order to make the destiny undisturbed, I was forced to resolve to this method, but rest assured, these fake memories will be re-new once they learn the real truth."
- back at the plateau.
The old man mused at Blake's answer. "Ahh explorers I see, I remember the days where young people like you over the Land of Hyrule. An age of adventure… that was before the Second Great Calamity." His lips curled up with a smile as he remembered the past, then trans to a frown when he mentioned the Calamity.
He quickly drops the frown. "Ahh pardon me, the history of the glorious Hyrule my old man used to tell me was always one of my favorites. But enough about this old man's nonsense, you said you were lost at this part is it?" He received nods as the group decided Blake's story might be the best chance they have.
"You are in luck then, for I am one of very few who live here! I shall tell you..." The old man responded with hospitality. "...Although… perhaps it was Hylia's plan. I cannot shake the feeling that our meeting here to be a simple coincidence." The old man strokes his magnificent beard as he says.
He motions his unoccupied right hand to the floor they were on. "This is the Great Plateau. According to legend, this is the birthplace of the entire kingdom of Hyrule."
"Birthplace?"
Putting down the stick with the apple he was baking. He grabs a nearby stick with a lantern hanging on, the old man stands back on the feet. It was then they realized he's physical condition is very healthy for a probably over sixty old man.
Standing apparently 6'4, his body may look a bit hefty, but the way he stands speaks power, pride.
He turns around and gestures toward the eastern part. Where the old and decayed building lies. "That temple there... According to legends, the birth of this world took place right from there. And thus, it became a sacred place of the Kingdom of Hyrule through generations, long long ago it was still the site of many sacred ceremonies." The man shook his head in sadness. "But ever since the decline of the kingdom 100 years ago, it has sat abandoned, in a state of decay. Many moons rise and fall, yet another forgotten entity, A mere ghost of it's glorious former self. Least, that's what I've learned with my life."
- back in the cinema room
Ozpin himself was drawing by the history the old man just said. For reasons he can not describe, the temple gave off a feeling of powerful mystery.
However, the part of the forgotten entity touched him more than anyone, a mere ghost of its former self. In a way, Ozpin felt an aching in his chest, how many things and histories had he kept away from Remnant, lay waste, decay, never to see the light of day ever again.
He tries really hard to gather the world together, but could it be all he did was tearing the gap further apart?
He silently hoped this viewing would give him a hint, or preferably, an answer.
- back at the Great plateau.
"Think nothing of it, my friend!" The old man exclaimed, his momentary sorrow replaced with his enthusiasm. "If you wish to explore this place, then do as you pleased, despite living here for so long, I still find new things every day, the temple may be old, but enough of it remains to earn an appreciation of what it once was. I shall be here for some time." He added. "So please let me know if I may be of service." Finishing his offer, the old man sits back to his fire.
"We'll keep that in mind, we thank you for sharing us with this knowledge." Yatsuhashi politely thanks the old man for his hospitality.
But before they could part their way. Something just had to happen.
"I BEG YOUR PARDON!" The old man suddenly shouts, gone the friendliness, replaced with a stern, judging manner.
Tracing where his eyes look at, they notice he was looking at Nora, or rather… the thing in her palm.
A baked apple.
Ren pinched his brows. "55 seconds, that's an improvement over the last incident."
- back in the cinema room.
Glynda buried her face in her hands. "Miss. Valkyrie..."
- now back at a guilty Nora
This is bad, really, even though it was just an apple, Nora still committed stealing.
The convict herself is sweating nervously.
Just as they were brainstorming how they were going to walk away from this one, the old man saved them from the trouble.
*snick* "Oho ho! Forgive me- I could not resist pulling your leg. It's been so long since I last had some fun with travelers. I apologize for my poor joke." The old man
"Phew" Several people let go of the breath they were holding.
"Oh, please, help yourself!" The old man warmly invited. "An apple and an open flame make for a succulent treat."
Nora hesitantly took a bite, but once she did, her eyes immediately lit up.
*munch* *munch* *munch*
*gulp*
And then she started vibrating.
They take a fearful step back, Ren with two steps.
"THIS IS SOOOO GOOOD!" Nora holding the apple above her (Just imagine the classic getting item post and the jingle in Zelda series.)
"Ho ho ho! I take it you never taste a Plateau Apple haven't you?" The elder chucks at Nora's exaggerated antics. "It was believed that the Apples growing on this plateau was blessed by the Goddesses Hylia herself. The aroma, sweetness, and taste haven't yet been challenged nor rivaled by any others among the Land of Hyrule." He gestured to the tree right beside them. "If you want to try one, please, be my guest."
- back in the cinema room.
"Oh my!" Exclaimed by an amazed Kali, who just tasted the exact same apple.
"Yeah, the food in this world is quite rich, which results in many intoxicating yet simple recipes." EXRB replies, currently peel the exactly same apple with a small knife.
"This is quite a treat." Applause by a Winter who has quite a high standard.
"Yeah, Hylia herself has made sure the Land of Hyrule is a place of wonder. It is just sad that forces like calamity exist." He finished peeling the apple and sliced it apart. "Makes you wonder why some people want to destroy the good thing. It's just stupid, and petty."
The last word was speaking directly to the likes such as Cinder and Salem.
The two briefly narrowed their eyes, but quickly dropped it, not wanting to make any haste, unwise move.
- now back to the Apple Enjoy Group
The little unexpecting event was sweet and delicious.
They had some small talk with the old man, despite being polite and introducing themselves, the old man brushes his off with a: "I am just an insignificant old man, my name as well as my life isn't that important." In the end, he refuses to tell them his name.
"There are many more apples — and mushrooms as well — in the Forest of Spirits south of here," Added the old man kindly, pointing at the forest not far down. "You can also find wild boar should you have the desire for meat and the means to hunt it." So there is a place where they can hunt for food, that takes care of one problem.
"However, there are plenty of monsters ahead of here too, they may not possess too much danger, never hurt to be careful. But beware when you are in the Forest of Spirits, I believe there might be a Stone Talus roaming there. Again, I wish you all good luck. I look forward to seeing you again." And with that, the old man sat down again, contentedly rustling out another apple to roast and leaning his back against the stone wall.
After thanking the old man again for his hospitality, the group parted away, with their new destiny being the old temple.
Unknown to then the old man was watching their action through the reflection on the glass of his lantern.
…
…
...
"Soooo, what do you think?" As they've walked far enough, Coco suddenly speaks.
"About what?" Fox says.
"The old man, not that I find him untrustworthy, but the fact he refuses to reveal his name is suspicious enough. Especially after we introduce ourselves."
"He must have his reason tho."
"Not that I must learn his name, but what reason could a person possibly have that they want to hide their name?"
"Maybe he's a criminal on the run?" Nora suggests.
"I don't think so, he told us he's been living here for a while. Besides, if he's on the run, he will most likely avoid making contact with us." Pyrrha says.
"How about exiled? His attire isn't exactly top condition." Coco throwing in her two cents. Thinking how worn out the man's shoes, gloves and hood is.
"Coco, he says he's been living alone, I am pretty sure looking good would be his least concern." Velvet says.
"Or he came to this place to escape from his old life." Blake suddenly cut in. "Perhaps he doesn't like his old life, or has done something regretful. So that's why he lives alone."
It was then Blake realized all eyes were looking at her.
"Just… speaking from personal experience..."
…
The situation is awkward, but luckily for Blake, Weiss decides to steer the wheel.
"We could figure that out the other day, now I think it's better if we could find some hint or clue on what to do with that temple."
- - - time skip - - -
As they advance, they come close to what appears to be the front part of the temple, all that remains are the stone path, and crumbled walls. A worn-out, lifeless machine monster was among the ruins, it's body already becoming part of the ground, as the grass has invaded its way on the metal.
Just as they are about to advance more, a faint voice halts them.
...re...d…
...
…m... iends...
…
…my friends…
'Head to the point marked on the map in your Sheikah Slate.'
[Destination located...] Penny suddenly speaks up.
As penny's voice finished, all of their Slate activated up, showing a screen of black background with no details, only the blue line that seems to divide the regions of the area, a small blue diamond resident in the center of the map, a pulsing yellow arrow, and a blinking gold dot locating to the arrow's northwest.
Curious, Ruby taps the blue diamond on the map, and a name pops up.
[Shrine of Resurrection]
"So the yellow arrow on the map points out where we are facing." Jaune says, as he turns around, checking his Slate, the yellow arrow turns as he did.
"Follow the Sheikah Slate?" Pyrrha says, as she taps the yellow dot on the map.
"So, what should we do? Do we follow what the Slate marked?" Nora asks.
Remembering what the voice tells them back at the Shrine, Blake analyzed. "It was clear what the Sheikah Slate's purpose is to guiding Link, I believe it is in our best interest if we follow the Slate's guild."
"Finally, a clue. I ain't complaining." Yang faked a cheering.
- back in the cinema room.
"Doesn't this seem a bit too… convenient?" Ghira points out the oddity.
"Well, think of it as a tutorial, just teaching them the basics of the Sheikah Slate." EXRB answers.
"Huh, this really does feel like a video game." Qrow put his hand on the chin.
"Well that's because it is, to my kind at least." EXRB types a few keys on the keyboard. "Let's fast forward for a bit."
- back with the group
On their way to the destination, they encounter a bunch of red Bokoblins groups, as what they learn in the trailer, Bokoblin really is not that smart, sure, they wield weapons, but they use it like an amateur. Most guys were doing fine in their first combat in this world.
They also encounter a few small blue blob-like monsters they saw in the trailer, apparently they are called Chu Chu (Which Penny points out for them once they get a photo of it.). They were shocked when they found out that bullets or melee attacks didn't hurt them at all, but powerful strikes or element attacks damage them.
Nora, taking a liking to them, wants to get one as a pet. Fortunately, her crushing hug squishes them to death (by exploding) before she can even tame one.
That, was the good news so far.
The bad news.
They eventually encounter blue Bokoblins, and… to their surprise, blue Bokoblin behaves much more cleverly than it's red counterpart. It acts as a leader if there are red Bokoblins with it. Not only it doesn't strike blindly, it took them by surprise when it kicked or threw Nora's remote grenade back at them. And attempt to throw sand at their eyes when they get close.
Team Ruby has a not so great start.
Ruby can't slash monsters like she used to, without her speedy Semblances, Crescent Rose becomes awkward to welding, mainly because her physical condition isn't fit enough. In battle, she just stays behind and provides cover with snipe.
Weiss's situation is slightly better than Ruby, but she can't fight gracefully as she used too, which irritates her, without her Glyphs, it became a sharp decline in her agility and power, she can slash, parry, but she can no longer dancing around her enemy nor had control of her surrounding like she used to. Fortunately, the Sheikah energy blade can fuse with the red, blue, yellow element vials in Myrtenaster, allowing the blade to infect burning, freezing, or stunning with each slash. The downside? If this keeps up, the vials will be used up every 2 or 3 battles. And the rest 3 vials don't activate when she tries to use it, she'll need more experience to find out what to do.
Blake's start was rough, her mind subconscious wanted to use her shadow clone to take the hit, only to realize she can't do it anymore in the last second. After a few trial and error, her performance started getting better. Sure, she can't trick or distract her enemy like she used to, but in close combat, she is still doing well. But when firing Ammos she encountered the same problem as Weiss, the dark-purple element didn't activate.
Yang was having too much fun for her own good, that, was before she was nearly struck with an arrow. And… you guess it, a tiny part of the hair was cut. But guess what, she can't explode as she wants. Nor does she get stronger after she gets struck, if anything, she feels herself getting tired easily than ever.
Surprising, Jaune is one of the few that is doing decent, mainly because his fighting style didn't involve Dust or Semblance before, Pyrrha's lesson did pay off when he was fighting 2 Bokoblins, parry, slash, or parry dodge, either way, Jaune didn't encounter any struggle during his fight against the man-pig-like monster.
The same could be said with Pryyha, her fighting style had already covered her for most of the part, the only minor difference is she throws her shield less frequently, as she admits she might have relied on her Semblance to control her shield a bit too much.
Nora… well, she is Nora, what can you expect? With or without Semblance, Bokoblins or Chu Chu didn't stand a chance against her hammer, or grenade launcher. But she does complain when that blue Bokoblin threw her grenade back.
Ren was doing decently, His only issues being that since he no longer had his Semblance to hide his presence, surprise strikes became much harder for him to pull. He made it up with his agility. Although his father's bow is still striped on his back. He still doesn't feel like wielding it yet. However, he does wonder if his Semblance is here, can he still be able to hide away from the Bokoblins or any other monsters?
Team CFVY was doing normally, as to expect from a second-year team, with or without Semblance, they were performing just fine, even Velvet who's fighting style heavily relied on her mimicking Semblance. Velvet's groundwork of CQC was well trained, she easily threw red Bokoblins around like a ragdoll.
Although, Coco does complain that Chu Chu eating her bullets like it was nothing.
Sun's skillful martial art makes him dominate against Bokoblin or Chu Chu, but if he had to complain, he notices blue Bokoblin takes more strikes then it's red counterpart before it goes down.
Neptune was a bit freaked out when a Chu Chu almost tackled him, as his mind saw a living water ball attacking him.
Ilia was doing fine with her whip-sword, however, a blue Bokoblin manages to catch her whip by hands, and trying to pull, if it wasn't the fact she can make her whip electrify, she believes the Bokoblin will probably win the struggle and yank her weapon away from her grip.
But in all Sun, Neptune, Ilia was still doing decently in their first combat compared to Team RWBY.
Oscar himself wasn't prepared to fight yet, physically and mentally, so instead he was watching from the sideline, beside Ruby that is, observing and recording the enemy with Sheikah Slate.
- back in the cinema room.
Being Parents, or family, the Rose & Xiao Long family can't help but worry for Ruby and Yang, with the former for her lack of CQC combat training, and the later for her reckless fighting style.
Winter was worried for Weiss, especially the part of being graceful, why would such a thing be important on battlefields? She'll have a talk with Weiss about this.
The Belladonna Family was worried for a second, but relieved once they saw Blake doing well.
"Hmm, for their first encounter, not bad. Mainly because this area is just for tutorials." EXRB stretching his chin, thinking should he level up the difficulty a bit more? "Also, hoping you don't mind, I adjust almost all the little things of the monster in this world, in order to give them all a fair challenge."
"Could it be… you notice that Team RWBY has relied a bit too much on their Semblance to their fight?" Glynda analyzes the situation. As the combat instructor, she has noticed and documented every student's cons and pros.
"Hard to ignore since I have been watching your world for quite a while.
Miss Rose's biggest issues being she simply refuses to part with her weapon, or learning any combat style that didn't involve her weapon, that'll get her killed sooner or later.
Miss Schnee's problem is she focuses more on trying to be perfect with each of her fighting stances, dunno who is she trying to impress here, this is a real-life battle, not a ballet evaluation, that'll get her killed one day too.
Miss Belladonna I wouldn't worry too much about her. She knows what real-world battle is.
Miss Xiao Long? She literally thinks herself to be invincible with her Semblance, I am just surprised she still hasn't got herself killed." EXRB finished his analysis without any regard.
His harsh words didn't sit right with the families, but he is not wrong either.
"I know what you are feeling, but this is real life, even if it is an emulator, I've made sure every pain is very real. Unfair? That's life to you, it never plays fair. They think just because they got some moves and the numbers, they are going to be fine? Then they haven't seen a real monster yet. Cause trust me, Link had it worse."
The headmasters of Beacon and Atlas didn't completely approve of the god's decision, but they agree that the child needs first-hand experience in the real field.
- back with the exploring group.
It takes them a while to arrive at the destination of the yellow dot, and they spot an odd isolated mound in an open field, with a hole that looks like an entrance.
[According to the coordinate, the mound in front of us is our destination.] Penny speaks through Ruby's Slate.
"A cave?" Coco lowered her shade to take a look.
"Or maybe it's a dungeon!" Nora excitedly claimed.
"Either way, we are about to find out." Yang says.
Much to Yang, Nora and Sun's disappointment, it's just a hole that contains a Sheikah pedestal and a Sheikah stalactite, with pole-like fixtures. The pedestal is glowing with an orange light.
"That's it?" Even Weiss sounds disappointed.
"No, look." Jaune points there is a glowing rectangle-shaped hole on the pedestal, just like the ones in the Shrine of Resurrection.
"Should we… put our Slate in?" Ruby asks.
"Looks that way, I can't think of any other idea what this could be for." Coco says.
As if sensing the key is nearby, the lifeless machine speaks.
[Place the Sheikah Slate in the pedestal.]
And so Ruby put her Slate in the pedestal.
...
[Sheikah Tower activated.]
Well, that wasn't difficult.
[Please watch for falling rocks.]
Wait what?
Suddenly, the constellation lines, the swirl totem, and the sigil of Sheikah come to life, blue light flares into the old machine.
And then there is a rumbling coming from the ground, throwing them to their feet.
"W-what the?"
"What happened?!"
"Earthquake?!"
"Ruby! What did you DO!"
"I only follow the instructions!"
The shake then became worse.
"Grab onto something!" Certain the sensation was coming right beneath them, plus his bad feeling, Jaune yelled, in which, everyone quickly did as he says, holding onto any nearby metal was part of the fixtures.
- from a third-person perspective.
It was quite a peaceful moment in Hyrule. Until...
The ground starts shaking after the Sheikah device finishes talking. Pulling the camera away, in the Forest of Spirit, critters such as squirrels or rabbits stop their thing and look at the direction of the mound, a second later, they all scattered around in the opposite direction. Birds taking off to the sky from a danger their instinct telling them that was coming.
Not far away, a group of Bokoblins was looking left and right in their camp, wondering what is causing the ground to shake like this.
Silence.
That was what happened when the rumbling started, as no life, not even the embodiments of darkness dared to make a sound.
*crack* A loud, ear-splitting crack breaks through the silence, making any life nearby aware of the event's presence.
The mound hill our heroes are on cracked like a spider web first, and then it exploded, the ground burst apart, sending rocks, boulders, and debris flew, rolling, or bouncing in all directions.
In the center of this disturbance, a tower emerges from the depth of the ground, rising up like a giant spear that pierces through the sky.
If one were to listen closely, they would hear a faint sound of yelling and crying mix in the middle of this chaos.
Afar from the plateau, several Sheikah Tower rise up in different spots through the Land of Hyrule, however, unlike the blue light where our heroes are on, these ones glow with orange light.
- On top of the Great Plateau Tower.
Slowly, but surely, the horrible rising calms down. The tower finally stopped as it reached its peak. And the frightened teenagers all collapsed on the floor like melting ice.
"Oh God! N-Never again." Weiss was the first one speaking, her voice shaking, laying all four on the floor, she didn't care if her white jacket or battle skirt got filith, her heart almost exploded from this crazy event.
"No object." Blake replied, laying on the floor with her back, her body stiff, staring at the ceiling of the tower with shirk pupils.
"Oh god… I-I think I just developed f-fear for height." Poor Jaune, his arms still clench on the metal pole dearly. With Pyrrha who was clenched on his waist with fear and a blush.
"Same here." Was all Sun said, who clenched on Neptun's waist, who was hugging another metal pole dearly.
"That… was… AWESOME! We need to try this again!" Take a guess who said it.
"Hell NO!" They scolded her in union.
[Tower activated. Distilling local information.] Penny speaks through the Slate. As the stalactite drops another eye drop on the Sheikah Slate.
Immediately, everyone's Slate opens up its map, the central part of the empty screen flashes blue, then fades out, revealing a very detailed map line art, house, road, path, lake, river, even the trees.
[Regional map extracted. Friends Ruby, are you alright?]
- back in the cinema room.
"Okay, what exactly just happened?" Demanding a very confused Raven.
"They just take their first step to the recovery of this world." EXRB's answers while whipping his eyes, earlier when the teenagers are screaming for their dear life, he was laughing, to the point of tearing.
They look at him with doubtable eyes.
[What Master says is: They reawaken the Sheikah Towers over the Kingdom of Hyrule, each Sheikah Tower can scan the landscape of the region it stands on. Currently those that flashes orange light means it is inactive. By placing a Slate in, those towers will be activated.]
"And why do those towers rise up?" Glynda asks.
[Hmmm… if I were to use better words, think those Sheikah towers like smaller CCT, scatter around the Land of Hyrule, those tower itself is a giant network, but buried deep down in Hyrule, like a machine in its sleeping-mode, by awakening one tower, the network tells all other sleeping towers to enter awaited-mode, as the result of them resurfacing.]
The comparison of CCT & Sheikah Tower does catch most of their interest, another world that shares similarities with them, like the Scroll to Sheikah Slate.
"Like the CCT? … quite a coincidence." Was all Ironwood said.
- back on top of the Great Plateau Tower.
Just as they think that things have calmed down, the voice called to them once more.
… ember…
…
Remember…
'Try… Try to remember…'
Subconsciously, some turn their head toward the location of Hyrule Castle.
And they saw it, at the center of the ruined castle, a golden light, sparkling like a star in the night sky.
They get close to the edge of the platform, wish to get a better look, as well as understanding of the current situation.
'You have been asleep for the past 100 years.'
Then, another wave of rumble occurred. This one, however, originated not from the tower, but from the distant.
'The beast...' An eerie, unsettling mist of darkness slowly formed around the castle, like tendrils of black and red tornado from the base of the castle, swirling up and around walls and spires alike, as if the darkness is trying to consume the castle, until it engulfs the light that fought to shine through them.
The sentinel-like giant pillars surrounding the castle, were dotted with a familiar constellations of their own. These, however, glowed dark red instead of blue or orange, like hungry eyes that were staring, observing the world around.
'The beast… When the Calamity regains its true power, the world will face its end.'
And then they saw it. It rose like a demon that escaped from the depths of hell, a nightmare form like a red vapor enveloping the castle. The body was formless, but the head resembled some great swine, with fierce tusks and a long, protruding snout. Where its eyes should have been, tiny pinpricks of golden light gleamed greedily.
It took to the sky, swirling around the central tower like some greedy predator guarding its kill. The horror's jaws parted to give way to a roar the likes of which no living creature had ever uttered. It shook the trees and earth, causing animals to scamper into hiding and birds to take flight in terror. The sound went on and on until it was hard to separate the cacophony from its own echoes.
"Calamity Ganon..." Blake fearfully speaks the name of the monster in front of their eyes.
"God..." Weiss taking a step back. This feels entirely different, back at the cinema, it feels just like reading a documentary, but here, in person, this monster's powerful presence is even more fearful than the creature of Grimm.
As if hearing someone calling its name, the cloud of darkness moves its head toward the tower, facing the group with its unsettling stare.
*screeeeeeh*
"It noticed us, didn't it?" Yang can feel her face turning pale, she pulled Ruby into her arms.
The calamity, roaring, attempting to charge directly at them right this instance, was suddenly dissolved into nothing as the golden light shines brighter. Suppressed the demon back to its prison once more.
'Now then… You must hurry, my friends. Before it's too late.'
- back in the cinema room.
The event that just played out was exactly like the one moment they saw in the trailer. Which made Ozpin curious. "The timing seems a bit too much of a coincidence… after they awake the Sheikah Tower, Calamity attempts to rise and attacks them."
"Well, it's not that much of a coincidence if you understand the details behind everything, while I wish to not spoil anything, at this point it's too obvious with the hint that was drooping here and there." EXRB replies.
"That someone is keeping Calamity Ganon at bay. The voice that was talking to them, is it?"
"Correct, that person's name I will not reveal now, but it was thanks to her effort. Ganon was locked inside Hyrule Castle for 100 years. And it was because of that, 100 years worth of corruption and destruction from Hyrule, robbed away from Ganon's hand. And you can probably guess, Ganon is pissed.
Ganon finally gathered enough power to break through the seal that keeps it away from Hyrule, and the day it comes back, it nearly succeeded in destroying the whole Hyrule, but because one person, a person who sacrificed herself, Ganon's terror was stalled for 100 years. But what makes it personal is that, during the time of it's banishing, it existed in a realm of void, unable to see or interact with the world, but currently, it was inside Hyrule castle, able to see or interact. So you tell me, if today you are an evil demon, who sought the idea of destroying everything, but you are locked up, and are forced to see the world living peacefully, for straight 100 years. Tell me, how do you feel?"
"Pissed beyond words" Surprisingly, Salem answers.
"Yeah, pissed beyond words. And that's why when Ganon feels the tower's of Sheikah being activated, it tries to break out, not wanting anyone trying to re-seal him away again."
Roman puffs his cigarette. "So… this someone is keeping the boar at bay, so does that mean little red and her friend need to finish whatever set up it requires to slay the boar?"
"Correct, but as the voices said, they don't have much time."
- back on top of the Great Plateau Tower.
After the little event, they understand why EXRB would say this isn't as fun as they believed.
Cause it really isn't. The burden of the fate of the world just dropped on their shoulder.
Ruby: "How do we get down then?" Yes, before they figure out how to save the world. They have an urgent question that needs to be figured out first.
Nora: "That's simple, we jump dow-*muff*"
Pyrrha: "I would suggest and appreciate it if we don't take any unnecessary risk."
"Yikes, I believe we are at least around 150 ft tall above the ground." Coming from Sun, the most expert climber in the group, carefully look down from the edge of the top.
"Hey." Coco suddenly called them, she was looking down at one of the three holes (the one that wasn't blocked by rocks.) "It looks like some sort of inconvenient platform ladders."
They looked down, and they saw the stairway looking platform that spirals around the tower.
…
"Seriously, who designed these towers." Was what Coco said before they started climbing down.
*Several minutes later*
It took them a while, but eventually they made it down.
"Ah~ earth, how I miss you." Jaune doesn't care if it's dirty, he doesn't care if it's laughable, he is going to appreciate the earth and no one can stop him from doing so.
"Urrg, I believe I developed a temporary Acrophobia, I guess I'll stay clear from high places for a while." Coco says.
"Same here." Ilia says.
"Ho there! Young ones!" They suddenly heard a familiar voice.
They followed the source and looked up, which they saw the old man from earlier coming toward them… with a paraglider.
The old man gracefully descended and landed in front of them, storing his paraglider behind his back, the elder pulled out his walking stick to support him once more.
His caught off guard entrances leave them speechless.
"My my… this is something..." He mused, looking up at the tower's mighty presence. "In my years of living, I certainly never expect such an event like this, it would seem we have quite an... enigma here." He strokes his beard.
Unsure what to reply, they just nod their head.
"This tower… this tower and others have erupted across the land, one after another." He holds up his cane, pointing one that rests to the east, another in the north. "It's almost as though..." He paused for a moment, trying to find the right word to use. "As if they are linked, like a long-dormant power has awoken quite suddenly."
"Well… you could say that..." Ruby awkwardly answered, twisting her fingers.
Continuing, the old man asks. "If you don't mind me asking… Did anything… odd occur while you were atop that tower?"
He knows something, that's the first thought Weiss, Blake, Team CFVY, and Ilia had. He's far too calm for a situation like this, and that question… it's almost as if… he was expecting this situation to happen.
"I… heard a voice." Before they figure out should they trust the intention of this old man, Ruby answered the question honestly.
Weiss was about to scold at Ruby.
"W-wait! I… I think we can trust him." Ruby takes a look at the old man. "For… for some reason, I feel as if… I know you." Her reason leaves her team puzzling.
"As if we've met before." Jaune suddenly cuts in, in which his word leaves his team puzzling too.
The old man says nothing, closes his eyes, keeps his thoughts to himself. "Well now… a voice, you say?"
...
"Do you happen to recognize this mysterious voice?" The elder speaks once again, this time, his eyes focus on both Ruby and Jaune, the all-knowing blue gazing into their soul, as if searching something from them.
Both team leaders were left nonplussed by his question. But yet, their hearts tell them they should answer.
"I… a part of me is telling me, I never heard this voice before, but… for some reason, another part of me telling me I should know this voice." Answers Ruby.
"I've tried to recall who this person might be… but nothing came up. But I am certain I've heard this voice before." Answers Jaune.
"*sigh* I see... Well, that was unfortunate." The elder had his shoulder slumped, with his head hanging down. He looks… defeated.
Turning his head around, the man looking at the distant castle. "I assume you all caught sight of that atrocity enshrouding the castle." He held out his cane once more, to point at the castle that was shrouded in darkness.
"Calamity Ganon…" He spoke the name of the demon in a hateful tone. "One hundred years ago, that vile entity brought the Kingdom of Hyrule to ruin. It appeared suddenly and destroyed everything in its path. So many innocent lives were lost in its wake. For a century, the very symbol of our kingdom, Hyrule Castle, has managed to contain that evil.. But just barely.
There it festers, building its strength for the moment it will unleash its blight upon the land once again. It would appear that moment is fast approaching... " His head lowered down as he finished his monologue.
"How did you-... no, the question would be, who are you?" Weiss tried her best to not sound hostile, but the more the elder talked, the more trouble and doubt she had. He knows something, he wants to tell them, yet he is so backward in coming forward. The old man didn't appear to be ill-intended, nor can't they defend themselves. But his action so far didn't put a pretty picture with Weiss.
The old man simply looks at Weiss, youth doubtful icy-blue meets old determinate blue.
After a moment, the elderly man broke the eye contact as he looked at everyone. "I must ask you, courageous one... Do you intend to make your way to the castle?"
"We have to… Our... our journey's end lies there." Ruby answers.
The old man closed his eyes again, kept his thoughts to himself once again.
"Ha ha." He laughed dryly. "I had a feeling you would say that."
The old man slowly moves past them.
"Here, this plateau is completely isolated, surrounded on all sides by steep cliffs and ancient walls that were built to ensure the protection of this place.
The temple I told you earlier, was once the most sacred place in Hyrule, Only those permitted by the Goddess Hylia and her appointed servants were allowed to enter." He says, as he looks back at the crumbled temple.
"The walls surrounding the plateau once ensured the hallowed nature of the temple remained intact. But now, this sacred place was invaded by the hellspawn of Calamity." He continues, looking at the hollow camps the teenagers just cleared out a moment ago.
"There is no way down. If you were to try to jump off, well... no death could be more certain. Or more foolish. Of course, if you had a paraglider like mine, that would be quite another story."
- back in the cinema room.
"Boy, you have no idea how much struggle this part of modification gives me, these kids have their own landing strategy, and Arua too. They are the only bunch of people currently in this world that can jump off cliffs and survive. But that is just very unfair to Link."
"So that's why you make it so that Arua no longer protects them from falling." Sienna asking.
"Yep. Besides, they need the Paraglider if they want to complete the story."
"Why?" Neo ask.
"Keep watching and you'll understand."
- back at the base of the Plateau Sheikah Tower.
"Worry not, I will happily agree to craft Paragliders for you all." The elder proposal. "But not for nothing."
"Let's see now..." Stroking his beard, the elder had his price.
"How about I trade it for the knowledge of those Slumbers around this plateau?" Walking toward the hill beside, he points his cane, they follow the direction and spot an Ancient Shrine right to their north. "I mentioned I've been around this Plateau for a while, I know about everything on this Plateau but those slumbers, I have tried many methods to enter, but none succeeded." Glancing at the Sheikah Slate they have. "However, I believe you have the key to open those slumber, the tower right here is a proof. You can keep whatever you discover, I am sure whatever you find may serve you more than an old man who is near his deathbed, I only wish to know what lies underneath it."
Seeing there is no objection, the old man happily seals the deal. "Then it's a deal! I'll start crafting Paragliders for you all. Meanwhile, you youngsters find what lies underneath and share what you discover with me. I believe there are 4 slumbers on this Plateau." The old man happily walks back toward the direction they first met.
…
…
...
"Did we… somehow become an errand boy?" Yang speaks blankly.
- back in the cinema room.
"Phew, that seals the deal, this part gives me so much trouble to do it right." EXRB takes a sip at his grape juice, it does feel wrong to restrain their action, but man, this part of the story, with these child's colorful personality, it's going to be a car crash if he were to let them sort the deal out.
The audience, especially the families and teachers, notice the child didn't object or voice their thoughts during the contract.
"Look, I know this entire deal seems one side, but this is the best alternative I can do, I can make them voice their doubt, but that'll be wasting us and them so much time, and besides, in the original Link had it worse."
"So you basically controlled their action back there?" Hazel speaks.
"I am not going to deny that." EXRB put his keyboard away.
"K… How bad? How bad is the original deal?" Roman asks.
"It starts with a single Shrine's treasure as the exchange deal, then it becomes 4 Shrine because the man forgets to mention it from the beginning, while being cryptic with his wording the entire time, making it look like the old man is taking advantage and being manipulating."
Salem, Raven slightly gaze at a certain man.
- back to the errand boy group.
[New location marked: Oman Au Shrine.] Penny announces, as they get close to their first Shrine.
"Oman Au? These Shrine have names?" Coco says.
[Correct, apparently, by the information I was given, these shrines were specially made trials for us. Scattering around Hyrule, waiting for us to pass through it.]
"Trials?"
[Trials of testing our Power, Wisdom, and Courage. Each Shrine possessed a different theme, and the difficulty of the trials scales differently. All created by the ancient Sheikah Monk.]
"Not that I am back off from a good challenge. But why tho?" Sun asks.
[When Link first wakes up in the Shrine of Resurrection, he has no memory of his past, including the knowledge of his own power, by going through these trials, Link slowly awaking his true power. Although… the same could be said for us too I guess.]
"What do you mean?" Ruby asks.
[There seems to be… a fracture in our memories, not just you guys, I can't remember something about this world, despite us just learning Hyrule back in EXRB's home.]
"And our origin in this world, there seems to be something EXRB intended to let us find out." Blake joined in, believing this part to be some key point.
"So, by concluding all these points, it is safe to assume that we have some of our memories removed from us? That's why some of us feel like we should know about something?" Jaune joins in too.
"Hard to tell, but I suppose that's what happens, memory erase is possible, Yatsu's Semblance is a living proof." Coco speaks, jerking a thumb at Yatsu, who nods his head to confirm Coco's point.
"Well… whatever awaits us, we have to pass through no matter what." Weiss speaks as she puts her Sheikah Slate in front of the pedestal.
[Sheikah Slate confirmed.]
[Travel Gate registered to map.] All of their Slate received the same message.
Suddenly, the inlaid circle of bronze patterns at the center of the doorway light up, emitting blue light.
However, what came next was something Weiss was not expecting.
[Acess denied.]
…
"Excuse me?" Weiss' jaw slightly slacked, in addition, her eyebrows started twitching.
Putting her Sheikah Slate on the pedestal again, she received the same message of denial.
"What?" Her voice slightly raised, as irritation started building.
She then repeated the process several times, which all got the same result.
"What is the meaning of this!" She yelled in frustration.
[Hold on, let me investigate the problem, there has to be an answer to why the shrine is denying friends Weiss' access.] Penny speaks as she connects herself to the shrine's system.
…
…
[I think I got the answer, friends Weiss, it appears only the four shrines on this plateau were made especially for a certain individual. This trial is made for friends Pyrrha.]
"Me?" Pyrrha says as she points at herself.
[Correct.]
Despite the amount of uncertainty and hesitation in her mind, Pyrrha put her Slate on the Pedestal.
[Acess grant.]
After 100 years of waiting, the gate of the shrine opened up, welcoming the chosen ones for their challenge.
"So… does this mean only I can enter this shrine?" Pyrrha asks.
[It appears so.]
Pyrrha was glad they finally made some progress, but now the challenge ahead requires her to face it alone, on one hand, Pyrrha was excited, but on other hand, she was… scared, as it felt as if she had once again become the focus of attention.
Tiny butterflies of doubt, uncertainty, and worries filled her stomach, like those uninvited reporters, invading her life.
Pyrrha was about to have another episode of doubting until a hand rested on her shoulder.
"It's okay, Pyrrha, you can do it." Jaune, as a team leader, does his best to reassure his partner there is nothing to worry about, despite himself being worried more than the red-haired Sparta girl.
If only he knew that no matter what encouragement he said, it'll always bring Pyrrha with confidence. (Mostly, let's not bring up that scene in Volume 3)
- back in the cinema room.
"Ahh, love, what a mischief little child. If only Mister Arc can realize her feelings." EXRB says with an amusing smile, then it drops to a frown. "Too bad that Jaune is one of the densest in the whole universe, on the top 50 list also. How is that possible, I have no idea."
"Hold on, the champion girl had a crash?" Qrow raised an eyebrow.
"Surprised? That's love for you."
'Of all kinds of people to have a crash, she chose an insignificant fool?' Cinder, Emerald thinking the same thoughts.
Summer, Kali, finds Pyrrha's crush pure, innocent, and adorable.
Tai smirks at how easily Huntsman-in-training partners tend to end up becoming a couple, as himself is one of the many that find happiness.
Ozpin, smirk behind his mug, as he is aware of Miss Niko's behavior around Mister Arc.
Glynda didn't speak her thoughts, but to be honest, she can kinda see it happening. As long as any couple in the academy don't let their grades drag down by love, or else there will be consequences.
"I have a question." Ozpin suddenly asks.
"Shoot."
"What kind of challenge did you prepare for them?"
"Trying to get a sneak peek I see? Well, most of the origin trial Link going through would be considered too easy for them, so I level the difficulty, as well as the main gimmick of trials. As Penny told them, these trials will test their Power, Wisdom, and Courage. And I intended to explore their potential."
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - To be continued - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
Annnnnnnnnnd that's it, now the chosen teenagers are dropped in Botw Hyrule, like Link, they have to save this world despite knowing almost nothing (almost).
I really hate myself for cutting the chapter here, but sadly, this might be as far as I can write before my colleague last year semester started. I'll see what I can do, but until my graduation exhibition is finished, I won't be working on this story.
As for what challenges await all of them… well, let's just say it won't be just simple puzzle solving. There will be action. (Which might take a lot of time to write.)
However, good news for you guys, I would like to see what you guys can suggest.
In the next chapter, Pyrrha will be facing her first trial in Oman Au Shrine, which originally is the Magnesis Trial, but I want to add something to it, like a boss fight, so, here is what I am seeking.
PM and suggest to me any existing boss or monster you know that is wielding the power of magnet or something similar. With as much information you can provide. And tell me why Pyrrha should fight this opponent, I'll see if I can work around this.
If not, I do have my original plan if there is no good suggestion.
