Who Am I?

Look at my tail,
Look at my snout,
It is that obvious,
To what I am?

Can you tell by my teeth,
Or is it my hair?
The full moon is out and about,
So what would you think?

I start acting vicious,
Which you very well know,
That is not my character,
I hate being rabid,
But I have no choice.

I howl at the moon,
When I am alone,
The others they call me,
And on instinct,
I go!

I have a tail that is long,
My teeth are sharp and pointy,
One bite and you could turn into this as well,
I fear the full moon and all it's brightness.

I didn't feel so alone when I was young,
As my friends where right there in there Animagus form,
The Stag and the Dog kept me in line,
As we wonder grounds,

The Rat he watches and presses the knot,
On the tree to make sure that we stay in a safe area when,
Humans are out and about...

What am I?
You must know by now,
As I have describe it to you on more then one occassion,
My friends you probably knew as well...

I'm a werewolf,
Plain and simple,
The transformations they hurt,
But that is my life,
They make me tired and out for the night.
