It has been seven years since I dropped the Master Sword back into its pedestal at the Temple of Time. Both the experience of when I traveled into what I considered the "future" to battle Ganondorf and my brief stint at Termina with my encounter with Majora's Mask have really muddled up my sense of time. It was all thanks to the Ocarina of Time.

"Link?"

I glanced down at Princess Zelda, who was sleeping with her head rested on my chest. We were both sleeping against what used to be the Great Deku Tree in the Kokiri Forest. The little Deku sprout was snoozing not to far from us.

"I…I can't sleep."

I knew what to do. Without a word, I got the Ocarina out.

Left, up, right. Left, up, right.

That was Zelda's Lullaby. The Princess slowly fell back asleep. This song didn't have the instantaneous effect the Goron's Lullaby did on Gorons.

Here she was, the princess of Hyrule right here sleeping with me. I had a childish crush on her when I met her. However, after she grew into this supremely beautiful woman, I knew I was in love.

I remember giving the Ocarina back to her just after defeating Ganondorf, but later on, Zelda gave the Ocarina back to me just before I rode off to Termina. Then, she even reminded me of the Song of Time, which I used in my quests both against Ganondorf and Majora's Mask.

Part of me wanted to play the Inverted Song of Time to lengthen the time I now had with Zelda, but I knew that was just being selfish.

I was also kind of surprised when Princess Ruto of the Zoras actually took the news of me marrying Zelda instead rather well. I know she always liked me since I saved her from Lord Jabu Jabu's gut. Ruto never seemed that rational when I first met her.

I hugged Zelda lovingly. This also reminded me of the time I helped Anju and Kafei out back in Termina. It really touched me when they hugged when the moon was only an hour and a half away from Clock Town.

Now, I can live a life of peace.
