Authors notes: And here we go, another installment of A hunter in waiting, so I hope you all enjoy.

A Hunter in waiting

1.4

When we arrived at the library, we made sure to lower the illumination of our glowing eyes, we didn't want to attract attention... err... too much attention... just yet.

We had a certain plan, one of which was going to require a lot of resources. We planned on making our bond brother... a typical villain at first glance. Give them a set of armor that looks intimidating, make sure there is no gap to see lek'golo worms, and no one would know that the newest villain and the newest hero are both the same... thinking individual. Sure, there are some... unique problems that come with this. For example, if the villain body were to die, we would go into a rage state. And that would draw in unwanted attention, though this world does not have a certain clue why the so-called new hero went super sayain just the moment the villain died, but if the hero were to die, no one would bat an eye, they're just a villain... which would be what we want to happen. Let the heroes assume their case 53 hero passed away, all the while the case 53 wiggles away without a care in the world.

Of course, the villain bond brother would be a villain for simple reasons. They would gather resources, steal stuff, make it easier for us to produce that mega-hunter. All that armor, all that time, all of it, the resources, the money, the... worm power, it all would be held down by bureaucracy if we were to reveal our plans to the PRT. But there was one thing we had to take into account.

Dinah Alcott. If Coil gets his hands on her, then our job would be twice as difficult. She was a probability thinker, although its usefulness, it isn't 100 percent or 0 percent all the time. There are numbers to it, but we couldn't allow for Coil to get his grimy hands on her. It wasn't the ethical dilemma that coil does to her, it was the power he would gain. So, let's say that a... certain upstart villain kidnaps her first. All covered in intimidatingly scary armor, covered in the style of the Banished, bursts from the earth itself, and takes the opportunity to yoink Dinah Alcott right under Coil's grasp. If Dinah asks what our bond brothers name was, we will have to come up with a scarily intimidating one... maybe Gestalt or Legion.

Once the PRT catches wind of a new super villain kidnapping a little girl, they'll be distracted of course. They wouldn't exactly know where their hideout would be... till it was too late.

But what to do with the girl? We just couldn't leave her be... but we wouldn't fall into the same pit as Coil was in. Maybe have her become an... what was it called? Was it an entourage or a... oh right, a student! Teach her of the ways of the Sangheli, from what we remember of Sangheli culture. Sure, it wouldn't be taught be a Sangheli, we were a Hunter. But Hunters respected the Sangheli, so that was just as good as a Sangheli for a teacher.

But that would be for later, now time to search up one Thomas Calvert's house on the internet. But while we're here, might as well set up a PHO account, interact with the goblins of the interweb while we were at it.

We quickly find the address of one Thomas Calvert, very easy. Don't ask us why it was so easy, because with our specialization, our hacking abilities were heightened as we now know them because of the covenant technology specialization. Surprisingly, we could easily hack into the PRT just to be able to yoink the address of one Thomas Calvert. So, with that out of the way, time to make a PHO account. Surprisingly, the first post that was recommended to us was about us.

Topic: Giant man roaming around in giant cloak, Cape or no cape?

So, while I was on my way to work, I spotted an enormous man (At least I think they're a man) passed by my car. They were like... 8 ft tall, wearing a giant cloak covering their entire body. I don't know if they're a cape or not, but it seemed... different than everything here in Brockton Bay.

Any idea who (or what) this man may be?

IT'S AN ALIEN! IT'S HIDING WHAT IT COULD POSSIBLY LOOK LIKE! THEY WOULDN'T WANT US KNOWING WHAT THEY'RE SPECIES LOOK LIKE!

That man is probably a handsome devil, void. You don't know that he's trying to not make all the girls faint with their handsome bod. Just tryin to live a life without all the girls proposing... or kicking them in the Shins.

We honestly have no idea why you would assume that they're an alien. Maybe you should look at golden man, who's flying around, saving kittens from trees. That guy first appeared, before capes were a thing... kinda sus, if you could get at what we're saying.

Why is slightcaseofworms speaking in the fourth person? They don't say I, instead they say we... as if there was a group posting that... you know what... not my problem, whatsoever!

Maybe it's 2 guys using the same account or something, it's probably nothing. As for the giant man roaming the city, probably some overgrown guy or something... though it is odd how that they're taller than Lung, who's six feet tall... probably some abnormally tall person...

Also, SlightCaseofWorms, how do you know that the man isn't a woman, bold of you to assume that they're a guy!

How do you know that is the case... for all you know, they're an amalgamation of orange worms!

Bold of you to assume they could be a weak human!

I agree with Slight, what makes you think they're a human?

The EndBringers are just misunderstood! They're being controlled by a ultimate great evil! An evil so evil that it is enslaving the EndBringers against they're wills! How do we know this? And Who is this great evil?

Simple...

It's a Canadian Goose! They're super-duper evil!

User has been banned. Reason: Just because Canadian geese are a nuisance to society, doesn't mean that they're controlling the endbringers!- Tin_Mother

Rest in pieces, Slight, a fellow troll, you had a good argument... that I might have to agree with, if it weren't for the fact that a Canadian Goose is smarter than the actual controller.

POV: Collaboration

'Wow... have we become an internet Troll now? What is this feeling that we are feeling?' we thought, but suddenly a hand touched our shoulders, and then we slightly turned to face the person, to see that it was the librarian.

"I'm sorry to interrupt you, but the library is closed. You're going to have to leave sir." she said, looking nervously at us... probably intimidated by our girth. We wouldn't blame her, as we were afraid of her, as Librarians were far more scary than anything that Earth Bet could conjure.

"Alright, mam." we responded as we got up, we left the building. We came to the conclusion that we should make our way to Thomas Calvert's house and make a mess out of his car.

As we make our way there, we start to wonder whether or not Coil would be there, but it would not matter, he is a part of the PRT, which is a part of the government... and as we all know... their rich people who are in power, so, Coil would own more than one car.

But it would seem like he was home... and his car was just right out front... ripe for the commandeering. If we had a mouth...

We'd be grinning sadistically like a psychopath!

POV: Coil

As I sat down on my bed, I took note that the other timeline where I was at my base. In that timeline, I had somehow caught by the PRT, though I quickly shut the timeline off, as I was unsure what happened for that to happen.

I tried to not focus too much on it, as it suddenly became a headache for me to deal with. It was then that Thomas realized that something could be interfering with his powers, as it was by then he heard... a lot of metal being torn off metal. It didn't bother him the least, probably some merchant tearing up the neighbor's car... is what he would say if he didn't hear glass breaking all of a sudden.

I then got up... and opened the curtains that were closed... and to my shock, I saw the tallest creature besides the endbringers to exist. It was tall, wearing a cloak... but of course that was overshadowed by the fact that the hood was down. The head... it was wearing some kind of mask, with 4 green glowing eyes, and the mask itself looked like avian in nature... but attached to the mask... I couldn't get a close look at it, but it seemed to be made up of tinier creatures

I then realized that I wouldn't be able to do anything to the creature, as it donned on me that if it could easily tear apart a car... it could easily rip a human in half...

This thing would pay... oh it would so pay!

But for now, he could only stare in fear, as the creature then looked right at him... as if aware that I was watching them...

Then it protruded a middle finger right towards us... that... was very immature of them.

POV: Collab

As we left the yard of the Calvert residence, leaving the remains of the car to just some frames and a wheel or two. Now, we could not hide in our cloak, as our armor was too bulky for one to hide... but that is a sacrifice we are willing to make.

But we all felt suddenly hungry, so... we decided to make our way to the boat graveyard, as we could devour the metal boats for, we are a metallo intestinum, a made-up word in Latin that we just came up with. It means metal eater.

Anyways... we made our way to the boat graveyard, but unfortunately, with the added weight of the car armor, we also made a lot of sound. But it was a sacrifice that was made, cannot go back now.

But hopefully, we don't attract any unwanted attention from the PRT, the E88, The ABB, the Merchants, or the undersiders...

'...'

'...'

'Why do we feel like we just jinxed ourselves?' we thought, as we passed by what seemed like a motorcycle.

Pov: Miss Militia

As the Case 53 lumbered towards the location of the graveyard, Miss militia took in everything about them. Apparently, either the information that was passed over to the Protectorate was outdated... or was partially wrong in some details.

The creature was eight feet tall, not six feet. Then there was the car that they were wearing... or what used to be a car. And then there was the cloak that it had been wearing, it was now resting on the creature's shoulders, unable to hide that it was being worn by a massive creature.

Miss militia then reflected on her mission so far... and she was glad that she was sent instead of Armsmaster. As she could see it ending badly, as Armsmaster is both a tinker... and stubborn. One more so than that of the other.

And from what it appeared, it also seemed like the case 53 was... also a tinker. It would not have ended well for both sides if Armsmaster was the one who was sent in the first place. Moving to contact control, Miss militia activated her radio.

"Control, this is miss militia, I have my sights set on the case 53, I'm on my way to intercept them." she reported to control, pressing down hard on the pedal to the motorcycle.

{This is control, we read you. Be informed that you need to be careful with this one.} they said on the other line, before taking a sip out of a drink of water.

"Yeah, I know, I just saw it pass by wearing a car for armor." she replied. Then she heard the person on the other side spit out their water and proceeded to cough.

{THAT'S BULLSHIT!} the person on the other line yelled.

"Clock... Language!" she yelled at the young man, who just yelled his catchphrase.

Now... she had to step in... but Miss Militia decided that it would be for the best if she just let the Case 53 reach it's intended destination. So, she decided to meet the creature to the boat Graveyard.

Hopefully, the Gangs didn't find out about them.

POV: Lung

It was just another night. Another night of organized crime... but tonight was different. Word quickly got out about a giant lumbering its way through the bay... and it was soon reported that they were wearing a set of power armor... this could either be a potential ally... or an enemy.

So, Lung had decided to bring his second in command, Oni-Lee, to approach this... giant. See if the creature intended to get in the way of his plans... and see if they aligned with his goals and plans.

If the giant intended to get in his way, then it would be a massive problem, as the creature was reported to be eight foot tall... and growing.

But that would not matter to him. As Lung, the challenger of leviathan, survivor of kyushu, he would have no problem fighting this beast.

As long as the other Gangs and the PRT don't find out, the more the better.

POV: Rune

As the... monster lumbered over... getting closer to the graveyard, Rune held up a phone to the side of her head. She rang the number, expecting the other end to be answered, she thought to herself.

What even was that thing? Was it even intelligent? It couldn't be human from the way that it looked.

"Ah, Rune, what is it that you are calling for?" Krieg asked, possibly pleased to hear from me.

"I just saw a... monster is what best I could describe it, just passed me, making its way to the graveyard. And no, I'm not making anything up... I think it's what those nerds call a "Case 53", never seen one in person before but, seeing that... thing... inform the kaiser... I believe that he would like to know." she told the man.

"Is there anything else about this monster that I should know?" he asked.

"One thing... I think it's a tinker as well as a brute." She informed. She then heard the man grin.

"Thanks Rune, I'll inform the Kaiser about this information that you just gave me. As for you? Go home, get some rest. The grownups will handle the rest from here on out." he told me before hanging up.

As Rune put her phone away, she took note how... off the situation was.

As if the creature just jinxed itself.

POV: Collab

As we walked into the broken remains of a boat, we detached a gauntlet and approached one of the metal walls and placed our hands on it and began to feast... it would take some time to feed each individual worm, but it was honest hard-earned work, or was it how that saying went?

We were unsure but shrugged it off.

After some time, we soon began to hear a motorcycle. So, turning our head 180 degrees in the opposite direction, we soon layed our eyes on none other... than Miss militia, who came from one entrance of the boat.

We both stared at each other, for only mere seconds...

It was then she spoke up. "Hello, I'm Miss Militia, of the Protectorate. Could you please approach me calmly and introduce yourself. I mean you no harm." she spoke gently as she took another step forward.

But then we heard laughter and turned our head to face it... we layed our eyes on Lung and Oni-Lee... Lung being the one who laughed.

"You think that they'll believe that? HA! If that's the case, then they're horribly mistaken!" shouted Lung.

Then... we heard a snarl come from the other side of the room. We then turned to face the sound to see that it came from... another shirtless man and another man... who we assumed to be... Kaiser.

"What are Degenerates like you doing here, approaching our fresh meat?" Kaiser ordered.

This wasn't good... this wasn't very good.

Miss militia looked both ways, turning to each of the criminals.

We then finished eating the metal, leaving a gaping hole in the side of the boat.

This wasn't going to end well... but there was going to be a fight... and it would not end well.

Then... we heard slow clapping in the shadows... and out approached... Faultline, and standing next to her...

We suddenly felt a connection, a familiar connection...

It was her...

It was Momma.

Authors notes: And there, and before you say anything, the next chapter will explain why Taylor debuted only a few days earlier, so don't give me crap about it, I decided to add it in, as it wasn't apart of the script but the thought and idea came past at last second. Feedback is appreciated. And this was also my first time writing a PHO thing, so tell me how well I exactly did on that part. Imma go to bed and rest.
