I'm back! Yeah it was a little long though but it's okay right? I mean a fanfiction writer needs his fanfiction rest, eh?
Well, the chapter you're about to read is going to be starting with Ben... Mostly because Nick told me he got captured by that tech thief and is NWTBF (Nowhere to be found, did you really think you'd figure that out on your own ?)
Oh and they got five years till , you know ( that's for those who've seen Endgame)
So Ben is gonna try to work with the team to safeguard what's left.
And as my followers all know, if it starts with the wielder of the Ultimatrix, it's gonna be ending with our Human- Kree soldier ( Ex- Kree if you ask me. Not that she is ex Kree citizen, just ex Kree soldier, which makes her still Kree, even though she's human so I think she's actually a human soldier who turned Kree so it really decreases her Kreeness... You know what? I'm just gonna shut up now)

What Next?
" So that's how I got here" Ben said as he successfully and painfully finished explaining his entire interdimensional travel between his universe and Cap's, to Cap. They both sat alone in a room facing a huge window as tall as the wall of the room that gave them a beautiful view of the outside of the Avengers mansion.
"Incredible story kid" Cap said smiling, " Though it would be a lot for a normal person to take" Cap sighed, making Ben chuckle a little..
"Yeah. That's why I could tell you." Ben said sipping on some tea that was in a cup in his hands.
Steve knew he wasn't a bad guy, or a spy of Thanos at least, because he helped in killing him. He just got shocked as to how Ben could change his form easily in a matter of seconds... Now Steve wanted to know that.
" How do you change form?" Ben seemed a little nervous at the question and removed the tea from his mouth in order not to choke on it. Ben never wanted too many people to know about his power source, especially some people he just met hours ago.. But come on, they fought together and , lost together. He couldn't fix the mess, and the whole team seemed broken. If talking to Steve was gonna cheer him up, then he was willing to answer all his questions
" Hhh... this" Ben said as he raised up the gauntlet- like watch on his wrist.
" What is that anyway?" Steve asked a little bit confused.
" The Ultimatrix" Ben answered " It allows the user to have access to different alien life forms for a period of time. It was originally created to allow a person, or life form understand what it feels like to be in the shoes of another, helping them to understand each other, bringing unity and peace." Ben said as he looked at his cup
" but it turned out that it was one of the most powerful weapons in the universe, and many hunted it" Ben said as he took another sip. " So it had to be cast down to another planet, and fortunately for me I saw it first when it came to earth"
" It landed in your area?" Steve asked
" Yeah, and being a juvenile, careless and not to mention overwhelmingly curious kid, I went to see which star lost its balance and fell from the sky"
Ben and Steve laughed at his joke. Steve's leughter turned into a little smile, which soon disappeared. Ben saw that smile disappear and knew that he was still thinking about the loss they suffered. He had to do something about this, that's why Paradox sent him here
" Hey" he said as Steve looked at him " You guys are earth's mightiest heroes, but that doesn't mean that you'll win every battle. Even the mightiest heroes lose sometimes" Ben seemed to be speaking out of experience, Steve thought but he actually was.
.The biggest loss of their career. Billions died. Worse, there was no solution.
" It's gonna get better Cap" Ben smiled.
Cap sighed and looked out the window again. Millions were mourning, and the thought of it having no solution just devastated him.
" At a point we're all gonna learn to live with this" Cap said looking out the huge window. " What matters now are the people that are here, even if some of the Avengers are gone, those who are left can still go the distance."
Ben saw the hope in his eyes. He still believed deep down that there was still a solution. Obviously, there wasn't. Cap's hope was dumbfounding.
" Enough of this already" Cap sighed as he looked at Ben. " Now let's talk about your dimension"
Ben smiled and said
" Well, it's, almost like this, average setting. I live with my Grandpa Max, my cousin Gwen and my best friend Kevin, who was a psychopath kid that was trying to..." Ben stopped when he realised that the expression on Cap's face was frozen. He seemed so still.
" Cap?" Ben called nervously " Cap you there?" He called again. Then he looked outside and saw that everyone, everything... was frozen in time. Like some one hit the universal pause button
" Oh crap"
" Oh crap indeed" A very familiar voice said
"Is it so hard for you to atleast text me before hitting pause on the world?' Ben said as he got up to face the man speaking behind him
" I don't see a reason why i should" Professor Paradox said.
" In case you celestials don't know, there's something called ' UNEXPECTED VISITS' and I don't like mu..."
" Thanos" Paradox cut him short with a calm look on his face. Ben stiffened
" Excuse me" Ben said after hearing the name of the man that caused them so much pain.
" You killed Thanos, didn't you?" Paradox asked, already knowing the answer
" Not really, I actually helped in killing him"
" Which still means you killed him"
Paradox smiled and raised a brow as Ben hesitated
" Y-Yeah, isn't that what we were supposed to do?" Ben was already sweating, thinking his death could cause a chain of effects that could trigger a cosmic war or something will come looking for the Avengers and start killing them , one by one.
" Killing Thanos didn't make any difference did it" Paradox asked tossing a coin.
" No it didn't, you know that"
" Then that wasn't what you were supposed to do to solve the situation" Paradox said still tossing the coin
" Ye- Yyy... Yeah? Yeah" Ben said.
" But i didn't kill him, it was..."
" I know who did it Ben, the god of thunder got enraged and put his axe to use" Paradox finally held the coin. " But it was supposed to happen, even though it wasn't what you all were supposed to do"
Ben stood still for a moment trying to understand what he said, then shook his head trying to shake the thought off and said
" But wait, is there a solution to this? Like, anything we should do?"
" Ben, that I can't reveal. It is not in my place to spoil the movie that time has been playing" Paradox smiled " Though I have watched it to the last second"
" Then please just tell me what happens. These guys just lost billions of lives! They'd do anything to fix this, anything at all!!"
Ben begged hoping that Paradox would reveal even just a hint.
" Benjamin" Paradox said " Do you know what I see?"
Ben's heart beat picked up the pace in excitement when Paradox said that
" W-What? Tell me please"
Paradox moved closer
" I see blisters in time, death, sacrifice and salvation, tears and celebration, love and redemption..." He stopped and closed his eyes. Then reopened them
".. and you my Benjamin..." He said
"...are not an exception"
Ben didn't get it!
" That's... that's... that's, so unclear!! And frightening!!" Ben yelled as paradox smiled.
Ben sighed and looked at him
" Please, these heroes will do whatever ot takes to bring those people back"
Paradox chuckled and started flipping the coin again
" That they will Benjamin, that they will' He then tossed the coin very high. Ben followed the coin as it went up and shattered into sand..
Ben was perplexed, but when he looked back down,
" He's gone?!!" Ben was pissed
" Who's gone?" Ben turned around after Steve, who was now moving, asked
" and, how did you get there so fast" Steve looked at him and knew something was wrong " You were right here"
Ben walked to Steve and sighed
" It was Paradox"
" Oh, that... Time traveller you were talking about?"
" Yeah, he stops time when he talks to people... especially me"
Steve found it hard to believe
" How long did you guys talk?" Steve asked
" Two minutes I think" Ben said " He doesn't really stay too long"
" Did he say anything about the future?"
Ben thought about his words again

" Prediction?" Steve asked after hearing the thing about prediction.
" HEY FELLAS! QUIT CHATTING! IT'S TRAINING TIME!" A voice that sounded like Natasha's, said from the speakers.
" Okay kiddo" Steve said " Let's see what you've got"
" Oh of course Captain " Ben grinned as he activated the Ultimatrix dial...

Clark held the door open as Carol walked in. Carol walked into the living room and looked at Clark, who entered after Lois.
" Nice place, really" Carol said
" Well the Bank, has it now" Clark replied
Carol was confused.
" I don't follow"
" My mum owed the bank a whole lot of money" Clark said " And now that she couldn't pay up, they took over the house"
" Sorry to hear that" Carol said as she walked to a window and looked outside
" Does she know you're alive?"
" No, not yet" Clark said. Carol turned around and loooked him dead in the eye.
" Ms Lois, can you please give us a moment" Carol said , now looking at Lois.
Lois didnt want to go
Carol smiled. " I'm not gonna kill your husband. If i wanted to" She said looking at Clark, "I would have done it outside"
Clark looked at Lois, who looked at him
" It's okay Lois. I'll be fine" He said kissing her forehead. She then looked at Carol again, who gave a nod of assurance with a small smile, before walking upstairs leaving the two of them alone.
" Steppenwolf, you ever heard that name?"
Carol asked
" No" Clark responded, " Who is he?"
" He's a genocidal brute, but he's extremely powerful. According to everything Diana told me, he works for an Ancient being called Darkseid, who has conquered many worlds. Steppenwolf wants to get this planet for Darkseid too..."
Lois stayed close and listened to everything they were saying. The way it seemed this one involved world demolition. She feared that Clark could die again because from the description of this threat, its not something the team could handle without Superman, and she wasn't even sure Superman could handle it anyway.
' Oh God, please keep him safe when he goes with her'
Lois couldn't help but feel scared. If she lost Clark again, she didn't know what she'd do. She knew that if this was a world threat, she couldn't stop him from going. She wanted to believe that whatever team Bruce had assembled, that they could handle Steppenwolf on their own... but that was a lie. Clark had to go, and all she could do was pray for him.
" So if we don't stop the unity, we're all dead" Carol said
Clark looked at her and looked down, then back at her
" .. but who are you?"
Carol sighed then moved closer
" My name is Carol Danvers. I'm from an another universe. I was an airforce pilot until i had an encounter with an infinity stone which gave me the powers I have today."
" What's an infinity stone?"
" Look, I'll explain everything on the way but, right now, we have to go" Carol said
" we don't have all the time in the world"
Clark knew that this was a serious issue, but he was still curious about who she was.
" I have to say goodbye to Lois first"
" ..And your mother too" Lois said as she came down the stairs.
" Lois, you've been.."
" No, I was on my way down" Lois lied looking all innocent. " I called her" Lois said just as they heard the sound of a truck, pulling up in front of the farm.
Clark knew it was her and went outside, followed by a smiling Lois and a frustrated Carol. Why wouldn't he just get it?!!! She thought.
Clark walked towards the truck as his mother, earthly mother, emerged and was in utter shock and disbelief.
" Clark" She gasped as she rushed towards him shedding tears of joy. Clark was smiling widely as he approached her too. Martha, Clark's mum, thought she would never see him again, yet there he was. She hugged him with all her might, only Clark didn't do the same knowing that would crush her in pieces.
" Is it really you?!!!" Martha said as she rubbed his cheeks.
" Yeah it's really me ma" Clark laughed as Lois reached where they were both standing and reunited with her mother in law and husband, but Carol stood a distance. It was kinda touching watching Clark's mum shed tears of joy upon seeing him. Made her think of wht it would feel like to see Fury again. She watched as Clark talked to them for a short while then looked at her, and the ther two looked at her...
His eyes are charming, she thought
" snap out of it carol!!" She said to herself. Clark kissed Lois and his mum on the forehead and walked towards Carol
" Are you done trading kisses and hugs?" Carol smiled. " Cus I'm not sure you're gonna come back from this"
" That's a joke right" Clark smiled
" Nope" Carol said coldly making Clark's expression turn to that of fear, and Carol's to that of someone who was trying so hard not to laugh
"Hey lady! Can i see you for a minute?!!" Martha called out to Carol, who began to wonder why the hell she would call her.
Carol walked up to her and said
" Hello ma'am."
" Okay , quit the corporate trash." Okay that was shocking
" I don't know who you are but i want you to promise me something" Carol nodded her head as if to say, " Uh huh?"
" Promise me you'll keep him safe" Martha finished
Carol didn't know what to say. She barely knew this guy and now she's supposed to be his babysitter? He's a powerful person alright, but after seeing him die, his family began to understand that he was vulnerable after all. Carol knew that
" I'll try my best to keep him safe"
" I don't need you to try your best! I need you to keep him safe. Promise me that. Promise me that whatever happens, Clark will come home"
Carol couldn't guarantee that. But she was a hero damn it! She Captain freaking Marvel. She took out an entire fleet of Kree warships on her own. She's just about the best there is.
" I promise" Carol said boldly, believing that if she had to keep the Kryptonian alive, then that she will. She then looked at Lois
" He will come home"
Carol then turned around and started walking towards Superman, only for her to find him smiling.
" Why are you smiling at me?" Carol asked confused
" First I'm not a kid, Second I don't need your protection, Third.." He said as he levitated " I have super hearing"
Carol then realized that he heard everything. Didn't they know that before trying to say something they don't want him to hear
" oh that's brilliant" Carol said sarcastically
" Let's just get to steppenwolf"
" We're not going to Steppenwolf yet" Clark said making Carol's eyes widen
" I have to get my costume" Clark smiled at her as he went higher. Carol groaned as her mask came on and she followed him
" Where are we going now?!!!" Carol yelled
" an old artifact from my planet" Calrk responded
" Old artifact?!!!" Carol didn't even know artifacts from his planet were here
" Don't worry, you'll see" Clark laughed as they rocketed out of sight, like shooting stars into the sky.
Lois and Martha stood there, holding each other. Lois only hoped for the best, that whatever it would cost, Clark would come home.
" Be safe Love, be safe"
