Frozen Lantern
Chapter 13
Ascending in the air were Dante and Elsa. The two had recently saved Arendelle from the Yellow Lantern threat. However, Elsa's sister, Anna, was kidnapped in the process. Elsa was devastated not once but twice now First Anna sacrificed her life to save her. Now she is kidnapped by the Yellow Lanterns.
"I can't believe they took Anna." Elsa said sadly.
"Don't worry, Elsa. We'll get her back." Dante said comforting his girlfriend, "Ring, locate Anna."
"Scanning..." The ring said as it scans around the whereabouts of Elsa's sister.
"Elsa, we're about to leave Earth's atmosphere." Dante informed.
"What about air? We can't breathe in space." Elsa said in worried.
"Leave it to our rings. They will know what to do." Dante informed.
Once he and Elsa finally reach orbit, their rings surround them in a life support field. This allows them to breathe without the use of a helmet. Elsa was amazed by this also she looks around in awe. She sees a vast number of stars around her.
"Wow." She said.
"Pretty cool huh?" Dante said.
"It's beautiful." Elsa said as she saw a comet flew by.
"I have detected a faint trace of Anna. 35 kilometers at Sector 6." The Ring informed the two Lanterns.
"It's not far from here. This way." Dante said as he leads Elsa and they leave Earth in search of Anna.
As they travel, Elsa looks at the stars before she sees the moon.
"I've never seen the moon this close before." She said in amazement.
"This is your first time seeing it because I've seen it many times before." Dante said.
The two flew pass the moon before they followed the signature. They traveled for at least a half hour.
"Why would someone take Anna?" Elsa asks.
"I do believe it had something to do with Hans. He could be responsible for this attack." Dante guessed.
"Hans? He couldn't." Elsa said in disbelief.
"When we find him, we find our answer. We're almost there." Dante said.
"I just hope Anna is not hurt." Elsa said as she and Dante reach closer to their destination.
Meanwhile, the three Yellow Lanterns who attacked Arendelle and kidnapped Princess Anna have arrived on Qward. Anna sees the planet before entering in. Once there, Anna is horrified to see what is around her. Most of the world were filled with terror like small poles stacked with skulls. Anna sees a few of Yellow Lanterns mistreating some slaves like whipping them. Some of them were tortured by their worst tragic pasts.
She sees a dark fortress with some of the Yellow Lanterns patrolling the area.
"Where are taking me?" Anna asked on of the Yellow Lanterns.
"To Sinestro." He replied.
They reach to the entrance before the gates of the fortress open and them move inside. Anna started to get frightened from her surroundings like large serpents, along with skulls with sharp teeth. They reach to the throne room and they halt before the leader of the Yellows: Thaal Sinestro.
"My lord. We have accomplished our task as you given us." One of the Lanterns said to the leader.
"Well done. You may leave us." Sinestro said and three Lanterns bow before releasing Anna and leave.
"What do you want from me?" Anna demanded.
"Not from me my dear. You're here for a purpose." Sinestro said, pacing around the young princess.
"Whatever purpose I have you can forget it!" Anna said with a stern look.
"Let me ask you something, princess: Are you afraid?" Sinestro asks.
"No, I'm not." Anna replied.
"You should be and I do believe someone will make you be afraid." Sinestro said.
That is when someone lands behind Anna making her startled. She turns around before gasping.
"Hello, Anna..."
"No!"
Meanwhile, Dante and Elsa have arrived at Qward.
"There it is. Qward." Dante said.
"I hope Anna is there." Elsa said.
"She is there. That is home of the Yellow Lanterns. Now follow me and stay close. We're outnumbered."Dante said.
The two Green Lanterns flew to the surface of the Yellow Lantern planet to look for Anna. Elsa is horrified by the atmosphere around her. It is nothing but a living breathing nightmare.
"Is this what it looks like? It's creepy." Elsa said, holding on to Dante's arm.
"Let's go find Anna and get out, but we have to be careful. There Yellow Lanterns everywhere. Their rings can detect us." Dante said.
"So what should we do?"
Dante creates binoculars and scans around before he sees the fortress near him.
"I have an idea." Dante said. "Can you trust me?"
"Yes." The girl replied.
"Ok. I will drive most of the Lanterns away while you go get Anna." Dante said which shocks Elsa.
"What? You can't do that. I won't let you get hurt." She pleaded.
"Elsa please. Your sister needs you. She saved your life. Now it's your turn to save her." The LT Commander said.
Dante did had a point. When Hans was about to striker Elsa down, Anna rushed in not before her body frozed, but she saves her life. Now it is Elsa's turn to do the saving.
"You're right, Dante. Anna saved me now it's my turn." Elsa said with determination.
"That's the Elsa I wanted to see." Dante said which made her giggle. "Elsa, when we get home, I want to show you and and Anna my home in America."
"Really?" Elsa ask and which Dante nods, "Thank you. So how are you going to get them away from the door?"
In an isolated room, Anna is tied to a chair creates by none other than Hans.
"Hans. After what you tried to do to me!" She snarled in anger.
"Oh yes, Anna. I did leave you to die, but you somehow escaped like Elsa." Hans said while looking at his ring.
"You've got beaten before. You'll get beaten again."
SMACK
Anna felt a sharp sting across her face. She nearly sheds tears from the pain.
"Mind your tongue, young lady. Time for you to be consumed." Hans said as his ring glows.
"I am not afraid." Anna said.
"You should be." Hans said.
He creates a skeleton hand before it touches Anna. In her vision, she sees her worst tragedy: the night she was hit by Elsa's power. Anna struggles before she starts screaming. Hans grins wickedly as he watches Anna being tortured.
At the front door, a Yellow Lantern stands guard. That is when he hears explosions. He looks and sees green explosions before he goes to investigate. Some of the others follow to the sound of the explosions.
At that location, Dante is shooting at the ground creating explosions. He also creates stikes of dynamite and throwing them around. That is when the Green Lantern looks and see a handful of Yellows approaching.
"Just as plan. Elsa should move in now." Dante said before he speeds off with the Yellows chasing him.
Elsa meanwhile sees the Yellows leaving along with the one who guarded the gate.
"Now's my chance." She said before she moves inside to search for her sister.
Inside she looks around to find her sister. She sees creepy things that sent chills down her spine.
"This place gives me the creeps. Where are you, Anna?"
Suddenly, a scream was heard and Elsa recognizes it.
"Anna! Ring, help me find Anna." She said.
"Scanning... Anna is loacted in the eastern section of the fortress." Elsa's ring informed.
Els follows the coordinates to reach to Anna. She has to be on alert. She follows the scream before reaching to a door where the scream gets louder.
"Hans, stop it! Please! I beg of you!" Anna begged.
Elsa heard the name of the prince who tried to her. This has gone far enough. She creates a large fist with her ice power before busting the door down. Hans quickly stops before turning around. He gets blasted to a wall before Elsa reaches to Anna.
She releases Anna from her bond before the red hair girl nearly collapsed on the ground. The Ice Queen caught her before lifting her up. She looks at Anna who sheds tears.
"Elsa?" She said.
"It's okay. I'm here." She said softly.
"I wanna go home."
"You won't be going anywhere." Hans said recovering from the blast. "You will never leave this place alive!"
Elsa quickly zooms out of here with Anna in her arms. Hans goes after her. He chases her down the hall, trying to blast the sisters. Elsa dodges the lasers before shooting her ice, but the ex prince blocks them.
"Elsa, did you get Anna?" Dante said via communication.
"Yes, I did."
"You better get out of there. Yellows are moving in to your position. I can't stall them any longer." Dante said.
"Where are you?"
From outside in the skies, a British Landcaster bomber is approaching the fortress. Underneath the bomber is the grandad of bombs, the Grandslam.
"I'm about to deliver the Grandslam. Get out as quickly as you can"
Elsa flies as fast as she can go before reaching the front gates. She creates a large shield before busting through. She reaches out just in time for the Landcaster bomber to drop its payload. The plane is disolved as Dante flies to meet with Elsa and Anna. He then surrounds them in a force field and they quickly make a getaway from the planet. As soon as they escape the Grandslam bomb slams into the fortress before detonating.
The explosion sends shockwaves all around before leveling part of it. The Yellows continued to pursuit before Dante fires powerful flashes of light, blinding them. Dante leads Elsa and they escape. After a while, they returned home.
"Are you ok?" Elsa asks. I can't get it out of my head. When you struck me with your powers, I was afraid that you would not be here. It's my fault." Anna said before crying.
Elsa hugs her in comfort.
"What's in the past, shall be forgotten." She said.
Dante too hugs the sisters as they head back inside the castle.
"I promise that this will be over soon. Hans and Sinestro are still threatening us. We will be ready for them." Dante said with determination.
Back on Qward, Hans is thrown in the ground by a Yellow Lantern as Sinestro watches.
"You have let Anna escaped from your grasp." He said sternly.
"It was Elsa. She has learned to confront her fears. I will continue my war against her." Hans said.
"No. You will not."
Then footsteps was here before a female figure appears. She is a Yellow Lantern.
"What is the meaning of this?" Hans demands.
"Feena Sik shall do the things her way. She will correct your mistakes." The leader said.
"What are you saying?" Hans asked.
"You have failed me for the last time. You have been replaced." Sinestro said as he snaps his fingers. Two Lanterns appear before grabbing Hans and removing his ring.
"You can't do this to me!! I will make you rue the day, Sinestro! I swear it!!!" Hans shouted as he gets taken away.
With him out of the way, Sinestro turns to Feena, "Hans is a failure. He can't do anything correctly. It is time for a new change. Feena, I have a task for you..."
