While in the first few months in Italy Lizzie was asked to be Isabella's bride's maid in her wedding to Giovanni Lombardi. The wedding was perfect. It just so happened Nathaniel was Giovanni's Best Man. And at the wedding Nathan asked Lizzie out. They dated for about 2 years before Nathan popped the question to lizzie. All of their friends thought they were the perfect couple Lizzie being a famous singer from America and Nathan, A famous actor from England.

Isabella's mom, Rochelle decided to plan the wedding. Rochelle had grew up in Apulia, Italy. Where she had become a famous fashion designer and had met Isabella's father. Rochelle knew Nathaniel's mother and father and had stepped in where usually Lizzie's mother Jo would have. Lizzie was more than delighted to have Rochelle plan the wedding and to have Isabella's father Frank give her away at the wedding.
