Chapter 1: A New Start

"...Mori...Please...Stay alive...And...Don't hate people...Too much,"

Those were Jin Taejin's final words to his grandson, Jin Mori.

"JUST WAIT, PARK MUBONG! I'M GOING TO CHEW YOU TO PIECES!" Mori roared, shooting across the darkening sky, his body ablaze like a meteor.

Burning fragments of his legendary weapon, Ruyi Jingu Bang rained upon the world below as the titan-sized stone pillar slowly came crashing down. His armorsuits tore apart during his descent, and they wouldn't regenerate like normal. Mori's power had and was, still being sucked into the National Treasure: Holy Grail. Deployed by the man he once considered his ally, Park Mujin(bong).

"HOW DARE YOU! HOW DARE YOU BETRAY! MY GRANDFATHER!"

Mori kept plummeting, as he neared the tip of a mountain, he reached out with his hand. "CONTRACT! CONTRACT! PLEASE! LISTEN TO ME! CONTRACT!"

His mind did somersaults as he came to a horrifying realization. 'The Grail, because of it...I can't control anything!'

The Jingu Bang neared the ground each passing second. Mori could only watch with tears streaming down his face, as his weapon which he used to save the world, would be the thing to destroy it in the end. Even in its descent, his staff's tip reached the edge of the atmosphere and something of that size would send canyon-sized fissures running across the globe.

"AAAAAAAHHHHHHH!" He could only scream, crashing through the tip of the mountain. His weakened, and still weakening body now rag-dolled through the sky and into the setting horizon.

Suddenly, a freezing temperature overtook him and he slowed down. Through half-lidded eyes, Mori could see that he was underwater, most likely somewhere in the East China Sea or the Pacific Ocean. His limbs gently wavered in the water as he kept sinking. Mori slowly looked around at the dark depths. The abyss caused memories of his early days to come flooding in.

One Thousand of Years Prior:

"Hey, Dragon! Don't you have something heavier? These things are like feathers," Wukong asked, spinning a Guandao; a bladed polearm used by generals, around on his finger.

After receiving teachings from a legendary Taoist Master. Wukong had come home to Mt. Huaguo, only to find that it had been overtaken by another Monster and his army. With his new strength, the Monkey King killed the creature and slaughtered his army, later devouring them as a celebration of his return with his monkeys. After his onslaught, Wukong snagged the Monster's weapon, a Jade Machete, and used it as his signature weapon for only a few weeks, before it broke in half as he gave his race a Martial Arts Demonstration that he had learned.

Seeing his king slightly depressed from the shattering of his trophy, an elder monkey went and told Wukong about a Dragon Palace in the Eastern Ocean, owned by the Eastern Dragon King, who kept an absurd amount of weapons. The elder suggested to his ruler that the dragon wouldn't notice a missing weapon or two. Wukong went along with the suggestion, but instead of sneaking and stealing, he barged right through the main gates, demanding a weapon fit for a king. To his surprise, the Dragon complied, and now, they were in the Royal Armory, going through the millions of weapons and armor, the Dragon had.

The Dragon King, clad in a maroon Ancient Chinese Emperors' garment, pinched the bridge between his eyes. They had been searching for nearly twelve hours now. The Dragon thought about just giving the Monkey a quarter of the armory then kicking him out, when one of his advisors, a turtle demon, came to his side and whispered.

"Your Majesty, what about the-"

The Dragon King snapped his fingers, "Of course! Why didn't I think of that?! Monkey!"

Wukong, who was still digging through the piles of steel, looked back with a hammer in his mouth...for some reason. He spat it out with a *POP* and flipped back to the Dragon's side.

"What's up? Find something?" he asked.

The Dragon grinned, flashing his rows of deadly pearl-white teeth, "Yes, I have just the thing, follow me,"

Wukong complied, ecstatic about his new weapon. The Dragon and Monkey duo walked down into an underwater, underground, cave, weaving through many passageways until they finally came to a stop. A small plateau, with what looked to be an endless drop below.

"I don't see anything," Wukong commented, bring a hand above his eyebrows to look around.

"Monkey," The Dragon pointed at the stone cliff on the other side, "That is your weapon,"

Wukong followed the pointed finger and raised an eyebrow at the underwater landmass of stone. "What? Where?"

"Look up, and look wide,"

Wukong's gaze traveled up, and up, and up. The stone cliff didn't seem to have a summit. Then he looked across both ways, and once again, the stone cliff didn't seem to have an end.

"You're giving me...a big rock?"

The Dragon King chuckled, "If you can move it, I'll give it to you,"

Wukong, never one to back away from a challenge, swam up to the stone formation. He scratched his head a few times, then he placed both hands on the landmass.

In response to his touch, the landmass released a deep rumbling hum.

The Dragon King narrowed his eyes.

"HRNGH!" Wukong tensed every muscle he had and pulled.

He pulled, and pulled, and pulled.

"HRRRAAAAGGGHH!" The Monkey King roared, and with all his might, the stone was lifted.

"Impossible!" The Dragon gasped.

The oceans shook from the heavy item's removal. Caves, cliffs, and underwater palaces started falling apart from an underwater earthquake of extreme magnitudes.

"Contract," Wukong ordered, and the stone instantly shrank to the size of a regular fighting staff. The tremors had come to a halt.

Wukong twirled the stone staff around, testing the overall feel of the weapon. Then he held it out in front of his face as five golden Chinese characters appeared in the center.

Wukong read them out, "Ru. Yi. Jin. Gu. Bang."

The characters melted into the stone, solidifying Wukong's ownership.

Present Day:

Mori felt his back touch the soft sand of the ocean floor, his arms and legs splayed out aside him. He blinked tiredly as more memories flashed by. More tears flowed out of his eyes, though they immediately mixed into the seawater. As Sun Wukong, he failed Mt Huaguo, he failed his other Eight Demon Brothers, and he failed the ones he called friends; Xuanzang, Bajie, Wujing, and Ao Bai.

As Jin Mori, he had failed his Grandfather, he had failed Daewi, Mira, Ilpyo, all of them. He even failed his clone...no, not just a clone, an individual with his own identity, his name was Hui Mori.

Mori closed his eyes. '...It's over...Let's just, disappear...like this,'

Eternal darkness surrounded him.

Mori had lost.

He didn't know what to do anymore. He lost everything, friends, power, home...everything. Well at least from what he could tell, his immortality was still intact. That's both a plus and a minus. He had been floating in darkness for the past few hours, like a lost jellyfish at the bottom of the Mariana's Trench.

"You did well, Wukong," a familiar voice reached his ears.

'XUANZANG?!' Mori's eyes shot open and found that there was still nothing but black around him.

"Not bad, Hou Ge (Monkey Bro), You fought till the end,"

Mori couldn't hold it back anymore and desperately yelled out, "BAJIE!"

"As expected, Big Bro is the strongest after all,"

Mori snapped his head around, "WUJING! IS THAT YOU?!"

"Haha! You're still as energetic as ever bro,"

Mori flew around the empty space, "AO BAI! EVERYONE! WHERE ARE YOU! WHAT'S GOING ON!?"

Suddenly, the darkness rippled, and blinding white light took its place. Mori covered his eyes with his arm from the intense brightness, and when he uncovered them, he found himself in the same space, but it was now the exact opposite as a few seconds ago. The void was white.

In front of him, hovered four familiar figures. The first was a slim, long, silver-haired male, wearing white monk robes. The second was a 7ft humanoid being, he wore emerald and purple robes with a necklace of small skulls. He also had a bushy beard and a bald head. The third was a humanoid pig, his navy blue monk robes were left unbuttoned, letting his belly bounce out, although looking fat, it was actually pure muscle. The fourth, and final figure, was a teenage girl wearing a monk's cassock.

The moment his red eyes met their gazes, Mori teared up. "G-Guys? Are you really there?"

"You bet," The silver-haired winked.

"Who else but, Ol' Piggy," The pig laughed.

"It's good to see you again, bro," The giant nodded.

"Welcome back, Wukong," The monk grinned.

Mori stayed still for a few seconds, thinking that his eyes were deceiving him. Then the pig made a joke, that Mori didn't hear due to shock. The giant scolded him, with the other two taking sides. Memories of his Journey to the West came crashing forward, the bickering, the mountain strolling, the vegetarian food he was forced to eat, and the countless amount of times he had to save everyone from this and that demon, without killing the thing because of the no-kill policy Xuanzang had drilled into his mind.

He had spent 17 and a half years as Jin Mori but had spent centuries as Sun Wukong. Seeing his old traveling companions' usual antics Mori couldn't help but admit, he had missed this. Mori wiped the tears from his eyes and without thinking, he leaped forward, hanging his arms around Bajie and Wujing. The two demons were surprised for a split second before instinctively included him into the bickering.

It was almost as if Mori had never become Mori, remaining as Wukong, and the Journey to the West was a success. The euphoric feeling of reunion filled Mori's body, and for a few minutes, he even forgot about Ragnarok. To him, this almost felt like, the Journey back to the East.

Their Five Member Team had reunited.

"Hey guys," Mori began, the four looked at him, "...I'm...sorry,"

The four exchanged glances of confusion, then simultaneously nodded in understanding as they realized what the Monkey was talking about.

"I wasn't strong enough, and you all died because of me, and I-,"

Xuanzang raised a hand and cut Mori off, "It's okay Wukong, honestly...We've already forgiven you,"

"W-What?" Mori looked towards his fellow demon companions, and they all gave Mori warm smiles.

"We wouldn't hold a grudge about that, bro," said Ao Bai.

"Hah, knowing you, you avenged us right away anyway," Bajie grinned.

"Besides, Master Xuanzang's teachings told us that no matter the lifeform, we must learn to forgive them," Wujing told him.

Xuanzang nodded in agreement with all three statements.

"...You guys," Mori could only stare at them in bewilderment with glistening eyes, that they were so okay with dying.

"Hah! Look! Hou Ge's all soft now!" Bajie laughed.

A tick mark formed on Mori's temple as he pounced on his old friend shoulder's and began pulling his ears.

"Piggy! What was that about being soft!"

"OW! Okay, okay, I'm sorry, I was just kidding! Not the ears! Please! Master Xuanzang stop him!"

The other three broke out in laughter at the nostalgic scene, rolling around the void. Xuanzang wiped a tear of laughter from her eye and commented.

"It's like you never left," Hearing this, the Monkey and Pig stopped their wrestling.

"Yeah, I thought the same," Mori replied and brought his leg up to a crossed-leg sitting position, although he was still floating in the space.

"But now," he looked at each member of his traveling group, "We can have another adventure! Another Journey, maybe to the north this time! Or the south!"

Xuanzang smiled and approached him, patting his spiky near-black hair. "We would all love that...but perhaps in the future, your time here is temporary,"

"Whaddaya mean?" Mori cocked his head.

"Our world will be safe for a while, there's no need for you to fight anymore, at least for now," Xuanzang told him.

Mori shot up and suddenly remembered all the events of Ragnarok. From Hui's sacrifice to fighting Satan, then the bout with R, and finally the betrayal, "But Mubong! Nox! He...They-!,"

"The new Jade Emperor, Hojosa, and Pandora will protect the people and keep them under control," said Wujing.

"It's time to rest a bit brother," Ao Bai smiled while folding his arms, "You've been doing nothing but fight for the last millennium,"

"Take a bit of a breather, yeah?" Bajie patted him on the shoulder.

Mori could only look at the white void below as he considered his options, finally he turned back to his master.

"What would you suggest me to do?"

"The Earth will remain a safe place for at least another 17 years, give or take," informed Xuanzang, "You should rest somewhere far away. Until it is time for Jaecheondaesong to rise again,"

Mori nodded slowly, "A-Alright if you say that's best. I trust Daewi, Mira, and Ilpyo to protect the world while I'm gone,"

"That's the spirit!" Bajie grinned.

"So, where will I be going?" The Monkey King asked, as his four companions circled him.

"To a world that's a bit similar to this one," said Xuanzang, who floated down in front of Mori. Bajie placed a hand on Mori's left shoulder, Wujing placed a hand on his right, and Ao Bai on his back.

"Oh right! We'll have to seal your memories, for your mental health's sake," Xuanzang placed a hand over Mori's heart, "Your power, however, I'm unsure if or how it'll return...Ah, it's not like you'll need it, you're taking a vacation anyway,"

"Right," Mori sighed, the thought of being powerless saddened him and seemed foreign. Even as a young monkey fresh from the rock, he still had a reasonable amount of strength.

"Ready bro?" Ao Bai asked from behind.

Mori took in a deep breath and nodded.

His companion's palms then began to glow. The light quickly cloaked Mori's body before forming a sphere around them.

When the sphere shattered, Mori had vanished.

A few minutes of silence passed between the companions. Bajie was the first to break the ice.

"...So~ Where exactly did we send him?"

Wujing and Ao Bai both looked at their master, who simply had a grin on her face.

"Like I said, somewhere similar to our world,"

The three demons deadpanned and simultaneously commented, "That's very vague,"

With their task finished, the four disappeared from the white void, returning to where they came from, to wait, and have fun for another 17 years.

Jin Mori, wherever he was currently, wasn't aware that Xuanzang's word "Similar,", was a huge understatement.

As he was being transported, his grandfather's last words replayed in his mind.

"Mori...Please...Stay alive...And...Don't hate people...Too much,"

DXD

Hyoudou Issei, a second-year high school student and the third member of Kuoh Academy's notorious Pereveted Trio. He had brown hair that strangely had two tufts spiking out the bottom, and eyes of the same shade. It was lunchtime at Kuoh and his two friends, who had already finished eating, sat at his desk looking at pornographic magazines without shame. They were Matsuda, the Perverted Baldy, and Motohama, the Perverted Glasses.

Issei would normally join in, but he strangely wasn't quite in the mood as he was waiting for his lunch. From the corner of his eye, he saw a slender girl with short pig-tails and glasses walk up to their desk.

"It hasn't even been five minutes and you've already pulled that out?" she said in a teasing voice.

"Go away Aika!" Motohama quickly exclaimed before turning back to his mag.

"This doesn't concern you!" Matsuda mimicked the glasses' motions.

"Whatever," Aika shrugged, "This is why you still don't have girlfriends after being here for a year,"

Tick marks appeared on the trio's foreheads and a shadow covered their eyes, despite it being the truth, it still hurt.

"Oh~? What's this? Issei isn't joining in today?" Aika put a hand on Issei's forehead, "You're not sick either…"

Issei slapped her hand away and looked away, "I'm just hungry, that's all,"

"Oooh," Aika nodded in realization at what he meant, "So you hired him today, very reliable that guy,"

Then turning on her heels, Aika left to join her friends, leaving the trio to their own devices.

Matsuda looked up, "Hmm? You hired the exchange student today?"

Issei nodded, scratching the back of his head, "Y-Yeah, I forgot to bring my lunch today and luckily had some money on me so-,"

"Alright," was the baldy's simple reply as a lewd expression formed on his face when Motohama flipped the page. The two went back to viewing their magazine.

"I'll just go and see if he's outside," said Issei standing up from his seat and walking towards the door.

When he opened it, he was welcomed by the usual sounds of the Academy's hour-long lunch break. Students chattering, and the tapping of footsteps. He looked around, the hallway had more girls than boys. This was due to Kuoh Academy starting out as a Private All Girl's School, then, less than five years ago, it changed into co-ed, thus the gender ratio was unbalanced in the girl's favor.

"KIBAA~!" feminine squeals came from the stairs. Issei knew the reason but looked anyway.

Strolling down the stairs, was Kiba Yuuto, resident number one pretty boy, of the school and most likely the entire town. His light-blonde hair bounced slightly, and he gave a small smile along with a short wave as the idol kept walking to the bottom floor. His fangirls and one or two fanboys followed him like ducklings.

"Damn, pretty boy," Issei muttered out of jealousy with a pout.

"Here's your Red Bean Paste Bun,"

"Thanks,"

Issei heard voices growing from his left and turned his head to look in that direction. The unmistakable giant green rucksack bobbed up and down at the end of the hallway, with a crowd gathering around it.

"Yo, can you pass a Melon Soda?"

"Sure,"

The rucksack lifted up then down and looked to be leaning against the wall.

"Did someone need a textbook?"

"Yeah, that was me!"

"Three animal pens,"

"Here!"

"Orange Juice and a plum Onigiri,"

"Thank you~,"

Issei considered walking over but decided against it. The crowd was too big for him to break through, so waiting was most likely the best idea.

And he was right, soon the crowd dispersed and the rucksack rose again, bobbing towards him.

"Hyoudou-kun right?"

"Yeah, that's me," Issei nodded.

A hand reached out and handed him a packet of bread, "Your Melon Bun, that'll be 6 yen please,"

Issei handed the delivery boy his money. The delivery boy flashed him a grin and bowed.

"I hope to be of services to you again," then he kept pacing down the hallway.

The brown-haired teen unwrapped his lunch and took a bite out of it, the mixture of doughy and fruity sweetness filled his mouth. The raised his head and took one last glance at the boy.

He had short, messy, azure-blue hair and black irises. He wore a light-red hoodie over the gym uniform and also donned the gym uniform's light-gray track pants. Hugging his feet were a pair of orange sneakers. Issei thought about it and realized that he had never seen the delivery boy without a bright smile on his face.

Issei walked back into his classroom and plopped back down onto his seat. As he ate, he heard several of the girls on the other side of the room gossiping about the blue-haired student.

"Did that guy just walk past?"

"I think so,"

"Ugh, he's so fake, just look at his smile, it's so...off"

"Right? Just because he's from another country, he thinks he's friends with everyone,"

"He's cute for sure, but the way he just accepts getting ordered around is such a turn-off,"

Issei sighed into his bread, truthfully he felt bad for the delivery boy. Among the entire populous of the school, he was the only one who didn't judge him and his friends for being perverts. Now that he gave it a thought, he realized the delivery boy didn't judge anyone. In fact, he was the nicest person he knew.

Which backfired on him almost every day, the thugs and delinquents of both the Academy and the town liked to hire him to be the goalie, or sparring partner in soccer and MMA training respectively. The delivery boy would always accept with a big smile, and would end up getting beaten by soccer balls and fists for hours after school. Whether it was due to him being from another country, or just because the thugs liked it, Issei didn't know, and honestly, it could've been both.

If Kuoh Academy had a ranking system then it would go. The Two Great Beauties, Rias Gremory and Himejima Akeno. Tying with them in first place would be the entire Student Council, led by Sona Shitori. Then it would be the Prince, Kiba Yuuto, and following him be a close margin, the Mascot, Toujou Koneko. The remaining student body filled in all the space until it reached Issei and the other two members of the Perverted Trio.

And then below them, at the very bottom.

The Official Errand Runner.

Dan Mori.

Hello Everyone! I'm FireMonkeyDragon! This is the first chapter of my newest project. A crossover between The God of Highschool and Highschool DXD. I'm honestly not sure how many people will be interested in this, but I'm writing it anyway. I have a basis for the story, but it's not much right now and I'm interested in everyone's thoughts about this and if it should continue. If you did enjoy this first chapter, please leave a review and all that good stuff, with suggestions for the story and whatnot.

Now for some Translations:

Bajie - Pigsy

Wujing- Sandy

Ao Bai - The White Dragon Horse (Everyone seems to forget about the horse, he's a member of the team too)

Hou Ge - Big Bro Monkey

Aside from that, that's all I have to say.

Thank You For Reading, and Goodbye!
