Usa-Chan is back and safe in Honey's arms. This time the small blonde is not going to misplace him again and it's all thanks to Akari. Akari on the other hand is already regretting getting involved and is facing the consequences for his actions. Fuji's no help since he's just as moved with him like everyone else.
Chapter Two: The Lolita's Crush
Word quickly spread around the school about Akari's deed. Most of it was by Fuji, but soon everyone knew what Akari did. It was the next day and he barely sat down in his seat before a group of girls surrounded his desk.
"Hitoshimi, I can't believe you did something like that!"
"You're so brave, I wouldn't have been able to do something like climbing that big tree."
"You must care so much to face your fears like that, you're so kind! I can't believe I haven't seen it before!" The girls swooned over him, causing him to sweatdrop. All he did was find a rabbit, it wasn't that big of a deal.
"Sorry, but it's not a big deal." Akari tried telling them before Tamaki butted in.
"Not a big deal!? You're a hero, I'm moved with tears by great act! You must've been so scared being so high up, but your determination to make Honey-Senpai reunite with his dear toy got you over your fear! I am honored to be friends with such a selfless soul as yourself!" Tamaki told him.
"W-what? No, we're not frie-" Akari was cut off by Tamaki continuing.
"I know! You should come to the Host Club! To show our appreciation for your valiant deed!" Tamaki exclaimed.
Akari wasn't able to refuse before class started. He was fucked just because he got back a toy. What was he going to do?
When lunchtime approached Akari was still being confronted about rescuing Honey-Senpai's bunny. This time apparently he fought off a hawk to get the bunny. He hated rumors, especially about him.
"Akari! I can't believe you got your eye pecked from a hawk!" Fuji exclaimed. Akari could only stare at his friend, wondering how stupid someone could be. His eyes were obviously fine even from a glance. Sometimes he worried about his friend's intelligence.
"You're an idiot," Akari told him as he headed to get his lunch. He really didn't want to deal with any more idiots but fate had a different plan for him.
His eye twitched when he saw the lunchroom as a mess. He looked over and saw a blue-haired and a pink-haired pair of students throwing stuff at each other. "What the hell is going on?" He questioned.
His eyes widened when he saw Honey-Senpai thrown right at him. He barely had any time to react before he was sent backward as Honey-Senpai hit his chest.
Akari groaned as he was on his back. "Ah! Akari, are you alright!" He heard Honey-Senpai making Akari open his eyes and look down seeing Honey-Senpai sitting on him, a worried expression on his face.
"Senpai?" Akari could only question as his mind processed what just happened.
"Akari, are you okay!? I can't believe you caught Senpai! You're incredible!" Fuji exclaimed.
"I-I'm fine." Akari tried assuring both of them while trying not to snap at Fuji.
"Are you sure? You landed really hard and hit your head, it's best to go to the nurse." Honey told him.
Before Akari could say anything Honey moved closer and felt the back of his head. The closeness caused him to blush.
"Do you feel any pain?" Honey-Senpai asked him.
Akari glanced around and saw girls squeal at them. Their position didn't exactly help, neither the fact that Akari was blushing.
He has never been so embarrassed and of course, it had to be involved with Honey-Senpai in some way.
"Yes, I-I mean no! I'm perfectly fine!" Akari exclaimed moving away from the other male. "Excuse me I-I need to go somewhere." Akari immediately continued getting up and rushing away from the lunchroom.
Honey could only blink at the other male's disappearance. "A-Chan, wait!" Fuji called after him before letting out a sigh.
"Did I do something wrong?" Honey-Senpai asked with a slight frown.
Fuji tensed and quickly faced the third year. "Of course not, Senpai! Akari just gets easily embarrassed, he's not used to getting so much attention, especially from you, Senpai." Fuji told the male.
"Is that so?" Honey said looking after where Akari went. The small blonde couldn't help but recall the blush on the younger male's face and smiled. "Cute." Honey giggled.
~The Next Day~
Akari was lucky he didn't have to go to the Host Club for 'appreciation' due to the Hitachiin brothers fighting. He learned it was those two that were throwing food at each other the other day which caused the scene with him and Honey-Senpai. Just remembering it made him feel embarrassed.
He couldn't forget it either because now he could hear people talking about it and now people are thinking he has a crush on Honey-Senpai. His life was just getting worse and worse.
"So, let me get this straight. When Senpai asked if he did anything wrong you decided to tell him I was especially embarrassed at getting attention from him for why I ran off?" Akari asked, his hand on his temple as he was growing more irritated by his friend, Fuji.
"Uh, y-yeah, but it's not that big of a deal, A-Chan," Fuji replied before Akari shot him a glare.
"Not a big deal? NOT A BIG DEAL! BECAUSE OF YOU, EVERYONE THINKS I GOT BACK SENPAI'S STUFFED TOY BECAUSE I'M IN LOVE WITH HIM! NOW I'M BECOMING THE ONE EVERYONE TALKS ABOUT! IS THAT NOT A BIG DEAL TO YOU!?" Akari snapped at Fuji, the other male shrinking the more Akari yelled at him.
"Calm down, Akari. Look this can be fixed! We just have to-" Before Fuji could finish whatever idea he was going to suggest Akari covered his mouth with his hand.
"No, this can't be fixed, you know why? If I try to make people think I don't like Honey that will just make people think I'm in denial, or people will think I'm a huge jerk and be hated by my peers, ruining any credibility I may have. I'm screwed either way." Akari told him before uncovering Fuji's mouth.
Fuji just let out a sigh and looked over at Akari. "Look, I know you're upset, but hey! You need to be more social anyway! This could be a good thing!" Fuji exclaimed as Akari groaned, rubbing his temple once again.
Akari was in the library during one of his free periods before he got approached by the one person he didn't want to see.
"A-Chan! There you are!" Honey smiled brightly coming over and suddenly embracing Akari, catching the male off guard.
"Gah! S-Senpai! W-What are you doing here?" Akari questioned.
"I wanted to invite you to have some cake with me! Please. Usa-Chan wants to spend time with you for saving him." Honey said holding up the stuffed rabbit for him.
Akari looked down at the male and the stuffed animal. "I-I, well. I-I don't-" Akari stuttered, not really knowing what to do in this sudden situation.
Honey frowned slightly and lowered his bunny slightly. "It's okay if you don't want to, A-Chan," Honey told him, seeing the other's reluctance to say yes to his offer.
The other male just tensed when seeing the smaller male frown. He didn't expect Honey to get upset and he didn't want more trouble. If people found out he upset Honey there was no telling what would happen to him.
Akari couldn't believe he has gotten into this mess, he was uncomfortable. He did end up agreeing to have cake with Honey-Senpai, but it happened to be in the Host Club while there were guests. This meant he was a guest as well. He was completely out of his element and embarrassed from the attention.
It wasn't common for there to be a male guest and it showed. From someone else's point of view, they could see Akari sitting with Honey and Mori, a blush on his face while having Usa-Chan on his lap while they ate cake. The girls were loving the scene.
"Hey, who is that? We don't normally have male guests." The Twins asked as the other Host Club members watched.
"That's Akari Hitoshimi, a second-year student. His family owns multiple resorts throughout Japan. He doesn't interact with other people very much." Kyoya briefly explained.
"Yes, he's also the one to have found Honey-Senpai's bunny! How heartwarming!" Tamaki exclaimed. "Though I never expected Akari to be gay." Tamaki hummed.
"Just because a guy comes here doesn't immediately mean he's gay." Haruhi sighed.
"Yes, Akari came here due to Honey requesting him to come and thank him for finding his toy," Kyoya told them. "Though I have a feeling he might be coming more often," Kyoya noted.
Akari could only just sit there as he tried his best to ignore the attention on him, but it proved to be very difficult for him.
"A-Chan, try this Chocolate Angel Cake, it's very good!" Honey offered, sitting next to him and holding a slice of cake for him.
The other male hesitated before taking the slice from the small blonde who appeared to brighten up even more. "Uh, thanks, Senpai," Akari said placing the slice on the table and taking a fork, and started eating the slice he was given.
"You don't have to keep calling me 'senpai' all the time, A-Chan. You can call me Honey." The blonde giggled as the other tensed slightly with a slight blush on his cheeks.
"Okay, Honey," Akari replied as Honey let out a giggle. The male just wanted to leave. He really felt that he didn't fit in a place like this.
He felt more at ease once Akari was able to leave. He couldn't believe he let this happen to him, whatever he did it just made things worse for the male. "What am I going to do?" He asked himself as he rested his head against the wall.
He never was a social person, he didn't like being crowded and in the spotlight. He was fine with being alone, but then Fuji came into his life and the male was persistent to get him involved with everything.
"Akari!" He heard a female's voice causing him to look over as a couple of girls walked up to them. He didn't have to be a psychic to know his situation wasn't getting any better for him.
"We just wanted to tell you you're relationship with Honey is so cute! You two make such a cute couple." The girls swooned causing Akari to jump in shock.
"W-What!? N-No, you got it all w-wrong!" Akari stuttered with a huge blush on his face.
"I have never seen Honey like someone before, he's so cute. And I never expected you to have such a soft side for him too!" The girls continued, not listening as Akari kept trying to tell them it wasn't true.
"You better not hurt Honey's feelings though or you'll regret it." The threat from the smiling girls sent Akari a small feeling of dread.
"See you tomorrow, Akari!" The girls told him, waving as they left him alone.
"Fuck my life." That was all Akari told himself, covering his face with his hands as the situation he was in. If what those girls said were true and Honey did have a crush on him and they thought he liked him as well... He felt like there was no winning for him.
He wasn't used to not knowing what to do, he was in way over his head and he could only blame himself. He blamed Fuji as well, but that wasn't anything new. It wasn't like Fuji cared if Akari was upset with him, the male would still flock to him and hang around the male.
