Akari is now dating Honey and what is the first thing they do together? Go to the beach! Except it's not just them it's the host club and other guests. All he wants is peace and instead he's getting everything but.
Chapter Four: The Sun, the Sea, and the Akari
"I'm so happy for you, Akari! You have a boyfriend!" Fuji told Akari, hugging the male the next day at school. Akari blushed and glared hard and pushed him away.
"Shut up, this is all your fault!" He told him blushing brightly and practically strangling his friend by grabbing his collar and shaking him back and forth angrily.
"You can't blame me for this! You said yes!" Fuji replied while being shaken. He was released and Fuji clung to the wall for support.
Akari covered his face. "Fuck you." He whined wanting to hide away and die to end this suffering. Fuji was right and he didn't like to admit it, he could've said no, but he didn't.
"So, besides you dating now, you're going to the beach with him and the other Host Club for a trip. Won't that be fun, you're first date!"
"It's not a date!" Akari told him before sighing, putting a hand to his temple rubbing it. "A date means I would be alone with him, not surrounded by his friends and guests." He told him.
"Well, he still invited you. Plus, you like the ocean anyway, right? You're not being asked to hang out with everyone, you can be boring and read." Fuji told him with a smile making Akari glare at him.
~The Next Day~
Akari let out a sigh as he saw Honey's limo outside his mansion. He was really doing this, wasn't he? Akari left the sanctity of his home and was immediately jumped by Honey, the blonde hugging him happily. "Kari! You ready for the beach?" He asked him excitedly.
He blushed and looked away, putting sunglasses on. "As ready as I'll ever be." He said making Honey giggle and kiss his cheek.
"So Honey-senpai really brought his new boyfriend with us?" The Twins questioned as Honey was dragging Akari down to the beach.
"There's nothing wrong with that, he's a guest like all the other ladies," Kyoya told them.
"Yes, that means not doing anything that might make Akari break up with Honey-senpai!" Tamaki exclaimed.
"I think you're all making a big deal about this," Haruhi told them with a sigh as she looked on at Honey setting up a towel next to Akari while the other was laying on his own towel as Mori set up an umbrella.
Akari sighed as he watched everyone else enjoy themselves on the beach. He had a book with him, but he did like watching the water too. 'At least it's a nice day.' He thought as he looked up at the sky.
As he thought he could relax he heard screams making him look over as he saw girls stepping away from Tamaki as the blonde held a crab. "Don't get involved. Don't get involved." He muttered to himself as he took his book and opened it so he could read.
Fate wasn't as nice as suddenly Honey jumped on him. "Kari! You can help me find Har-chan's weakness." He smiled brightly.
Akari stared blankly at him, he never heard such a threatening sentence in an innocent tone. That silence only gave Honey the incentive to get up grabbing his hand and pulling him up. "Come on!" Honey said happily.
Akari stared blankly at the police force truck next to Haruhi. "Are you sure it's okay to drive a truck like this on the sand?" Haruhi asked before the three of them were standing in the back of the truck.
"Well we're ready whenever you are private police people! Please lower the door." Honey told them.
Akari saw darkness as the door shut. 'I'm not even involved in the Host Club why am I being dragged into this?' He thought as there was only silence for a few moments before he felt something jump on him.
"It's dark and scary in here! I feel like I can't breathe!" Honey screamed clinging to Akari as he struggled to find a wall for support.
"Honey!" Akari exclaimed.
"Honey-Senpai, what's wrong!?" Haruhi asked.
"Somebody let me out I can't take it anymore!" Honey screamed.
Akari got back to his towel laying face down, what did he do wrong to deserve this? He sighed as he moved his head to the side watching the sand. He was already exhausted, he had to comfort Honey once the door opened.
Though with how quickly he calmed down he was suspicious, but he ended up cuddling Honey for thirty minutes until he was 'better'.
"Not having fun?" He heard a voice making him look up seeing Kyoya.
"It's not that, I'm just tired. How can you do this every day?" He asked him.
Kyoya smiled slightly. "It's not that hard if you know how to deal with them." He told him.
Akari hummed. "So why are you really here?" He asked him.
"You're our guest we have to make sure you're enjoying yourself too." Kyoya simply told him. "Although, considering your relationship with one of our hosts you have a priority of sorts."
"I don't like the sound of that." Akari mumbled.
"I'm sure Honey-Senpai has told you of where you're staying correct?" Kyoya asked him, Akari raising a brow in response.
"What do you mean, I'm going to a hotel, aren't I?" He asked since the other guests would too.
"On the contrary, you'll be staying with us in my family's villa here." Kyoya informed him. Akari was silent at that knowledge. Why did he expect any less? "Are you perhaps allergic to fish?" He asked him.
"Huh? No..." Akari told him as Kyoya noted it down and left him but not before telling him to continue whatever he was doing. He groaned to himself as he rolled on his back and stared up at the sky from under the umbrella.
He got up and decided to go on a walk. He needed to clear his head. He really needed it. He stopped when he started hearing a commotion. His eyes widened when he saw a couple of guys harassing girls on a rock ledge.
He didn't think as he ran up as he saw Haruhi up there as well. "Haruhi!" He heard Tamaki exclaim as he ran ahead as Haruhi was dropped off the edge into the water.
He threw the first punch. His eyes showed so much anger in them. He got the brown haired guy down so the rest of the girls could run off.
"You bastard." The blonde said and punched Akari in the jaw making him fall on his back. He turned to get up but felt sick when he saw how high up he was. He was yanked back from the edge and punched in the face again.
Akari shut his eyes tightly as he waited for more pain but it never came. He opened his eyes and the blonde guy was slammed into the brunette. "No one touches my Akari." Honey growled, glaring harshly as the two guys were honestly in fear.
Honey stepped forward to beat them up even worse than a simple slam. "Mitsukuni. That's enough." Mori said making the blonde look over as the others ran over.
Akari couldn't stop the beating in his heart. He had no idea why he was reacting like this, his cheeks were flushed from seeing Honey act in such a way for him.
Honey hurried over to him and placed a hand on his cheek. Akari winced making Honey flinch slightly. "Are you okay, Akari? You had me so worried." Honey told him and hugged him while the others handled the two men.
"I've contacted the doctor, they'll be here soon." Kyoya told them.
Honey nodded and kept hugging Akari. "Don't worry, I'll take care of you, Akari." He told him softly making Akari blush more and look away as it came back to him he was still so high making him shake.
Akari winced as Honey rubbed some ointment on his bruises. He really meant what he said about taking care of him. As soon as the doctor told them he would be fine that he just had some bruising Honey took the cream insisting he could help Akari with it.
It was a weird sight to see Honey with anything but a smile. He was focused and Akari couldn't help but watch him in silence. His eyes met up with his and Honey smiled at him, but he could see he was still upset in his eyes.
"I'm okay, Honey." Akari told him hesitantly holding his hands.
"You scared me so much, Akari, I don't want to see you in that position again." Honey told him. "I care about you." He said softly.
His heart fluttered in his chest as he heard those words. He blushed and looked away. His chest felt so warm and his heart wouldn't stop beating. "Don't worry, I'm sure it won't happen again, e-especially if you're with me." Akari replied looking away as Honey looked up at him seeing how flustered he was.
The blonde couldn't help but smile softly and move forward and gently moved his head to face him. "You're so cute." He told him.
Akari's face turned red. "C-Cute? I-I'm not cu- mhm!" His eyes widen as Honey kissed him on the lips. His brain short circuited as he couldn't think or do anything as he processed what happened.
Honey giggled pulling back seeing his expression. "Very cute." He told him before jumping down to the floor. "I'm going to cook some crab with Takashi, Kari. It'll be done before you know it, so come to the dining room if you want to." He told him before smiling brightly and leaving the room and leaving Akari speechless.
"Senpai, you look a little red there, are you alright?" The twins asked Akari as Akari sat at the table with them.
Akari was still getting over the fact Honey kissed him. "Yes, I'm alright, everything's alright!" He responded making the twins grin to each other silently but the mood couldn't stay like this as Tamaki was still sulking from a fight with Haruhi.
"Ta da! Here you go! Don't they look yummy?" Honey asked smiling as he and Mori set down plates of crab on the table.
"I apologize that there aren't any maids around to help you cook Senpai." Kyoya told him.
"It's no big deal! We appreciate you letting us stay here! Hey Takashi, will you go get Haru-Chan?" Honey told Mori. The giant nodded with a hum before leaving the room.
Honey looked out the window seeing how dark the clouds were. "It's awfully gloomy out there huh? It looks like it's gonna rain." Honey told the others.
Akari looked out the window to see for himself. He honestly liked the rain, hearing the rain pour always calmed his nerves.
"It's not just gloomy outside." One of the twins replied making them look over at the two.
"It's pretty gloomy right here in the dining room as well. Just take a look at Senpai." The other one replied as they looked at Tamaki sulking against the wall.
"C'mon boss, quit mopping." One sighed.
"You shouldn't have picked a fight with her in the first place." The other told him.
'Her? Are they talking about Haruhi?' Akari thought before the doors opened revealing Haruhi wearing a pink and frilly night gown. 'Yup definitely Haruhi. How come I didn't see this sooner?' He thought as the others fawned over her.
"You look so cute Haru-chan!" He heard Honey compliment her making Akari feel weird. Like Honey called him cute earlier and he felt warm, but when he called Haruhi cute it made his chest tighten... He couldn't be jealous, can he?
It was awkward as they all sat at the dining table. Haruhi and Tamaki was sitting next to each other and Akari was regretting deciding to eat with them.
Even Honey was feeling awkward. "Let's dig in, kay!" Honey told the others trying to ease the tension. "These are the crabs we caught! I bet they're delicious!" He smiled holding up a crab.
Akari ate the crab, it felt nice to eat something. The crab really was good. Everything else drowned out around him as he enjoyed the food. He snapped out of it when he heard a slam making him looked over as Tamaki was looking down and stood up.
"Okay fine, I get it. It seems you refuse to admit that you were wrong." Tamaki said walking towards the door. "See if I care then, I'm going to bed. Kyoya, would you show me to my room please?" He asked Kyoya.
Kyoya patted his lips with a napkin before standing up. "No problem. Well, excuse me everyone." He said before leaving with Tamaki.
Akari looked on and looked at Haruhi, seeing that she stopped eating and looked down at the table. "Maybe he's right. Maybe I do need to learn a way to protect myself." She sighed.
"So, that's it. He got to you, huh?" The twins told her.
"Well, it wouldn't hurt you to learn martial arts or something,"
"But it's not like we're going to force you to learn it,"
"Besides, that's not the real issue here." The twins told her
"To be honest, we were all a little worried about how recklessly you acted," One stated, making her look up, confused.
"What do you mean? I didn't cause you guys any trouble or anything." She told them.
"That's not true, Haru-Chan. I think you should apologize, 'kay? You made us all worried, especially Tama-Chan. I think you need to apologize to him the most." Honey told her making her look over at the blonde.
"So you were worried about me? But why?" She asked making Honey sigh.
"You're hopeless." The twins shook their heads.
"You think? Guys, I'm really sorry." Haruhi told them.
"Yeah, apology accepted, you little mutt."
"You're so cute. We forgive you." The twins cooed rubbing their faces against hers' as Honey and Mori joined the hug.
Akari just watched and noticed Haruhi's face turn a bit pale. "I'm not feeling so good." She replied before covering her mouth.
The others immediately let go. "You must've eaten too much crab," One twin told her.
"Be strong, Haru-Chan!" Honey comforted her.
"Let's get her to the nearest restroom! Hurry!" The second twin ended as Haruhi rushed down the hall.
He watched her run, mentally sending her his sympathies as he went back to his own crab.
That's when they realized Akari now knew Haruhi was a girl and looked at him.
Akari felt the stares. "I'm not going to say anything about her, okay." He sighed which did calm them as Kyoya came back.
Akari was more or less relieved when he got in the limo the next morning. He would be going home finally. Honey sat next to him and smiled at him. Akari couldn't help but blush and look out the window to hide his blush making Honey giggle as they heard the muffled shouts of Tamaki as the limo drove off.
