Honey's feelings have only grown for Akari while Akari is starting to be more open with his feelings. Now Akari has to deal with Honey flirting with him more and being more affectionate with him.
Chapter Six: The Flirting Lolita
Akari still had those feelings of jealousy, but now he's able to deal with it and accept it more. Though now Honey is more attentive to him.
"Kari!" Honey greeted jumping on his back and nuzzling him happily. "Good morning! I hope you had a good day after school." He told him kissing his cheek.
Akari blushed and looked away. "Morning, Honey." He replied as Honey giggled.
"You know I never told you, but you look so hot in your uniform, Akari~." Honey whispered in his ear making Akari's face turn red, covering his face as a result.
Honey jumped off of him. "I'll see you at lunch, Kari!" Honey waved and ran after Mori to catch up to him even though he was just waiting for him.
Akari didn't reply as he kept his red face covered.
"Man I wish I could get you flustered like that, it'd be easier to tease you." Fuji teased as he put an arm around his friend. Akari shot a glare at Fuji making the male let go.
"I'm joking, I'm joking! I wouldn't do that!" Fuji exclaimed while the other just gave him a blank look, knowing him better than that. Fuji eventually cracked. "Okay, I would, but still."
Fuji was next to Akari in the lunch room, Honey and Mori met up with them, Honey taking Akari's other side happily.
"Kari! I made this for you." Honey told him giving him a small box. "It's strawberry cake, you're favorite." He told him smiling brightly.
Akari smiled softly. "Thanks, Honey." He replied as he planned on eating it after he finished lunch.
When he did eventually get to the cake he blushed a bit as he saw the heart decorations on the little cake. He could feel Honey beaming beside him... And Fuji just grinning at him.
The male started eating and the cake was delicious making him blush a bit more. "Kari, you have frosting on your lip." Was all the warning he got before Honey licked it off causing Akari to freeze. "It's sweet just like you." Honey told him as steam practically came out of Akari's face as his face was red and girls were squealing at what Honey did.
Fuji was laughing and hitting his fist on the table as Akari couldn't process anything else but the lick and the sweet comment.
"Mitsukuni. You broke him." Mori told Honey as Akari wasn't reacting to anything anymore.
Fuji ended up having to drag him to classes as Akari was basically a statue the rest of the day with a flushed face.
"Alright, come on, A-chan. Let's get you... To... The Host Club!" Fuji grunted struggling to get Akari up the stairs.
Fuji was panted as he pushed open the doors. "Senpai, I brought... A-chan." Fuji exclaimed as the other Hosts watched Fuji carry Akari to one of the chairs feeling relieved once he didn't have to carry him anymore.
"Uh, is he alright?" The twins asked poking Akari a bit and getting no response.
"He's in shock still from lunch." Fuji told them as he laid on the floor his limbs outspread.
"What could've happened at lunch to send Akari-senpai into this state?" Haruhi asked.
"I think I flirted a bit too much for Kari to handle." Honey told them as he went to Akari's side and hugged him, nuzzling him sympathetically.
"But, what did-" The twins were interrupted by Fuji putting his arms around the twins and whispering to them what happened causing their eyes widened.
"Never thought Senpai could be so smooth." They said looking at Honey comforting Akari, trying to get him back to the realm of the living.
"What did he do?"
"The same trick we did to Haruhi when Renge made those cookies the day she came." The twins replied.
Tamaki gasped. "I'm still horrified that you did that to Haruhi! You assaulters! The worst part was that she didn't even react to it, she became so desensitized by you two shady twins!" Tamaki exclaimed.
"We apologized." They replied nonchalantly.
"Can we focus on the task at hand?" Haruhi told them with a face that said she was done with those three. She walked over to Honey and Akari. "Has senpai ever gotten into this state of shock before?" She asked Fuji.
"Not since middle school." Fuji replied waving his hand in front of Akari's face. "That was the time I gave him a haircut and cut a bit too much off." Fuji chuckled nervously. "He never trusted me with scissors after that."
"Well, how did Akari snap out of it?"
Fuji hummed and got his bag out and took out a pair of scissors and snipped them close to Akari's head.
Akari's eyes snapped over and grabbed the scissors. "Not again." He growled at Fuji.
"Fixed him!" Fuji grinned, proud of himself.
"Yay!" Honey cheered and rubbed his face against his cheek. "I'm sorry if I went too far, Kari." He cooed to the other as Akari blushed a bit.
"... I just didn't expect it." He muttered to him.
"Now that this has been settled, Akari, you're heavy and I never want to carry you all day again." Fuji told him. Akari glared at him.
"I'm not heavy, you're just weak!" He retorted.
"And that's why I don't want to carry you all day again." Fuji replied with a smile. "Have fun, I'm going to go die in my limo on my way home now!" He told them leaving the club room.
Akari shook his head. "Moron." He muttered.
The rest of the week, Honey didn't let up on the flirting. Not one bit despite that state of shock he went through.
Akari was in the library reading some books when Honey showed up. "Hey, Kari." He greeted happily sitting on his lap making Akari lift the book in the air so it wouldn't get ruined.
"Hey." He greeted and his eyes widened when Honey kissed him on the lips.
Honey giggled seeing Akari's face turn red. "You know, you remind me of a strawberry, Kari." He told him before wrapping his arms around his neck into a hug and whispered to him. "Maybe one day I can see if you taste like one too~." He told him.
Akari hid his face too embarrassed and flustered to respond to that as Honey kept hugging him.
He shivered as he felt Honey lightly brush the back of his neck with his fingers. "I'm happy for the times we're alone like this." Honey told him nuzzling him and relaxed against him. "I don't have to worry about anything when it's just the two of us."
Akari lifted his head a bit to look at him, his face was still a bit flushed. "I... I like it too." He replied quietly looking away. Honey smiled at him.
"I love you." Honey told him softly.
Akari looked down hiding his blush. "I-I uhm, gah-like youto." He told him stumbling his words.
Honey giggled and got off his lap. "I'll see you tomorrow, Kari." he told him waving him bye before leaving him to head on home with Mori.
Akari watched him leave and he couldn't go back to reading as he laid his head on the table and covered his head with the book. "I don't know how much more I can take. It feels like my face is going to burn off." He mumbled to himself and rubbing his face to try and calm himself down.
He huffed and took some deep breaths his face turning back to its natural color. "How can he just say things like that so easily?" He whined. "I can't even tell him I lo-lo-vvvvve him." Akari blushed. "Stop it!" He exclaimed to himself rubbing his cheeks to get rid of the blush.
'It feels like I can't even control myself any more. It sucks, I don't like not knowing what to do.' He thought to himself with a sigh. 'I feel like I don't do anything and he still is so bright and cheerful doing everything I can't.' He continued to think, now feeling bad. Honey did all this stuff for him, complimented him, gave him gifts, even made him feel better when he was upset. What did he do? Bring back his bunny and that's pretty much it.
The brunette sighed as he was at his desk, lazily writing down notes. Usually Akari would be more into his work, but he still has thoughts of inadequacy. He usually wouldn't care about this type of stuff, but ever since he started dating Honey he now had this feeling that he wasn't enough to give back to Honey.
He wasn't sure how to talk about this though, it's not like anyone around him felt like him. That's what he felt though.
He missed the days where he could just focus on what book he was going to read next and whatever Fuji started talking about another rumor or something he found interesting.
If he had to choose to change things, would he? At first when all of this started, yes, but now... It made his stomach tense thinking of not being with Honey, them never talking or being greeted every day with a hug from him.
No, he wouldn't change things, even if he won't admit it out loud to anybody. He loves having someone there to love him, hold him and make his day better by showing up.
"Kari!" Honey called out to him making Akari look up from his notebook noticing class had ended. Honey smiled and entered the class room and stood in front of his desk. "You were staring off into space, silly." He told him.
Akari looked at Honey his eyes softening. Honey blinked and looked at him. "Kari?" He questioned.
"I love you." He told the blonde. Honey pausing making Akari realize he said that out loud. His face turned red as he panicked and stood up. "Uh, gotta go!" He replied and hurried off as Honey watched him leave.
A big smile grew on Honey's face his face blushing a bit and he spun his bunny around before happily heading off. "He said he loves me." He told his rabbit, hearts practically coming off of him as he headed to the club.
Honey was giggly and rolling on the couch holding, Usa-chan. he's been like this ever since.
"Honey senpai is usually happy and energetic, but this is different." The twins commented.
"Did something good happen, Honey senpai?" Haruhi asked.
Honey looked up at her smiling brightly. "Uh huh!" He replied his heart ready to burst out of his chest. Akari was just so cute to him and hearing those words come from him was better than eating all the cakes and sweets in the world.
He laid on his back staring at the ceiling as Mori sat next to him. "I love him so much, Takashi." He said softly.
Mori gently ruffled his hair and hummed in response. He was glad to see him happy with someone. It was good for both him and Akari being together. From what he knows about Akari, Honey has changed him and opened up his world as he made Honey's world just more brighter.
"I'm happy for you, Mitsukuni." Mori told him softly before another day of hosting came, seeing Honey perk up as guests came, especially when one of them was his boyfriend.
