A/N: This ones a bit different. Trying to show some parallels and expand beyond E/O & E/S... Though E/O is still the number 1 priority.
"When did the talking to himself start?" Sam quietly asked Noah as they sat together on the couch, eating eggos, with Teddy snuggled between them.
"Last few weeks. Dad does it," he rolled his eyes. "He's really becoming him it's terrible. Between him and Emma, we'll never be able to escape Olivia and Elliot Stabler!" He cried playfully and Sam laughed.
"I hear you!" Eli called and Noah giggled. "Good!"
Leaning his head towards Sam's belly, Noah placed a gentle kiss to it and then whispered. "Be like me, little man. Please!"
Eli came out in a slightly frustrated huff. "Can you see when dad is gonna be here?"
"They're on the way they're just getting grandma and coffee and donuts and bagels."
Sighing again, he pointed at his younger brother. "Make yourself useful and come help me, please!"
"Dude!" He cried, pointing to the quarter of an eggo he had left. "My food isn't gonna eat itself."
Eli swiftly grabbed it from his plate and put it in his mouth as Noah's jaw dropped. "You demon," he hissed.
"Want it back?" Eli asked, opening his mouth to reveal a glob of the chewed food on his tongue.
"I'm gonna remember this Stabler!" He cried, sprinting after him into EJ's room as Eli cackled.
Teddy giggled hysterically and Katie came down, laughing at the bickering coming from the nursery.
"I'd say they get better with age but," she smiled, picking up Teddy and giving him a cuddle. "They definitely do not."
"Those same two were snuggling so cute last night, nothing makes sense," Sam laughed.
"I pray for your sake any future babies you have are girls," she smiled.
"I can't even think about any more!" She exclaimed and laughed, smiling when Teddy snuggled into Katie.
"He is the most loved and spoiled boy in the world," Sam smiled and Katie nodded. "Or tortured… 7 big siblings!"
"True," she laughed. "He's gotta eat soon, would you mind getting him in his chair for me?"
"Course," she smiled, and Sam stood slowly, making her way to the table after grabbing Teddy's food.
"Alright, me and Beau will be down in just a few," she smiled, heading back up stairs.
Eli re-emerged and grabbed a pop tart from the counter. "I want Noah's metabolism," he quipped and Sam laughed. "Me too!"
"Feeling okay?" He asked, putting his hand on her back as she caught her breath. "Mhm… just sore and might need a bath a little later."
"I can do that," he gave a small smile and leaned down to peck her lips, lingering a bit.
She gently caught his lip between her teeth and he moved a free hand to cup her cheek as their tongues swiped.
A knock on the door startled them, and he pulled back with a slight laugh before kissing her nose. "You look really beautiful this morning," he smiled and she blushed, looking down.
"Will you stay tonight? Can we watch a movie and just hang out?" She asked hopefully and he nodded. "Course, Samaroo," he said, kissing her again and moving to open the door.
"Hi guys," he grinned, stepping aside so his parents, sister, and grandma could pile in.
Teddy stretched to look around his high chair, gasping when he saw Elliot, kicking his little arms and legs excitedly and babbling away in his own little language.
"I missed you!!!" El cried, lifting him up and hugging him to his chest. "So muuuuch!"
"Say 'daddy it's only been a week!'" Emma, who was feeling much better, laughed.
"A week too long away from my boy!" He said dramatically. "8 hours at work is too long," he laughed softly.
Liv noticed the slight frown on Eli's face at the thought of leaving the babies, and quickly changed the subject.
"So! Daddy!" She smiled, looking at Eli who let a grin slip through. "Where do we start today?"
He nodded and smiled again, taking the food from her and expertly handing Noah a donut when he emerged.
"Alright, so I thought me, dad, and the bros can do all the furniture in EJ's room, while the girls paint Joey's. Then, when we're done we'll flip flop."
"Sounds good," Liv smiled and Bernie nodded. "I'm going to keep mommy and Teddy company out here," she nodded. "Oh! I made something," she said, shuffling off to the bag she'd put by the door before coming back and handing the young parents two gift bags.
"I made these a few weeks ago, I knew you'd name him Elliot," she waved her grandson off and Sam laughed softly, opening the bags up.
Inside each bag were two beautifully painted canvases with the twins' first and middle names to hang in their rooms above their cribs, along with a hand-painted mobile for each of them to match.
Sam teared up and reached to hug Bernie who grinned and gave her a gentle squeeze. "We're proud of you sweetie," she nodded.
Bernie was close to 85, but still sharp as ever. Though she was a little slower and still had good and bad days, she was throughly enjoying her roll as grandma and great grandma, spending time between the older four's homes.
"Thank you," Sam whispered, hugging her tightly. "They're beautiful."
"Thank you grandma," Eli said, blinking tears away quickly.
"You're gonna be a good dad, Eli," she nodded. "Just like your brother and your dad," she nodded, smiling herself.
The front door opened and Anna Kate ran in in front of her parents and Carl, Maureen, and an obviously hung over Liz.
"Now it's a party!" Bernie exclaimed and Liv laughed.
"Alright!" Eli said, sounding just like his dad. "Let's get to work people!"
The day was filled with lots of work and laughter, and they managed to get both rooms painted and set up by lunch time.
"See, this is why everyone need a big family," Noah said, mouthful of pizza. Sam laughed and gently rubbed her belly as they sat around the living room and kitchen, chatting and chowing on lunch.
"How many kids do you want, Noh?" Emma asked with a smile.
"Probably like 4 or 5. You??"
"Three," she nodded. "Two girls and a boy."
Liv and El laughed and Mo cleared her throat, looking up at Carl who gave a cheesy smile.
"We actually have something to share uh... we already told Sam and Eli cause we didn't wanna intrude on their day but…" she trailed off, smiling when all three of her sisters bounced up.
"Shut up!" Liz cried.
"Really?!" Emma exclaimed and Katie laughed loudly. "I knew it!!!!"
"Wait what," Dickie asked as Sarah laughed and smacked him. "You're gonna be an uncle...again!"
"Whaaaaat!" He cried, getting up to hug his sister tightly while Eli laughed. "He's so thick I swear."
"Always," Sarah smiled, pulling Anna Kate in for a sweet hug.
"Baby, do you know what it is yet??" Liv asked with a grin, and all six kids realized they already knew at once, groaning and hurling funny insults.
"Obviously we knew! We're mom and dad and we know all!" El exclaimed and Dickie grumbled. "When do I get that super power!"
"When our daughter starts talking," Sarah ribbed as the almost one year old giggled.
"So?!" Emma asked, making the same "I'm waiting" face as Liz.
Mo looked up at Carl who grinned. "It's a girl!"
Everyone cheered and made comments before Eli spoke over the crowd. "Poor EJ…"
The crew burst into laughter and Liz nodded. "Two girl cousins and a sister! Poor baby boy!"
"Me and Teddy are gonna be his best friends so," Noah said, as if it were the most obvious thing in the world and would solve all issues.
"Uh huh, and yet, we're even and you four are still suckers for your sisters," Katie laughed and Beau nodded in agreement.
"Stockholm syndrome is rough," he teased and Carl nodded laughing. "What can we say. The Stabler girls are too damn lovable," he smiled, kissing his wife's cheek.
"Whose going to be the Godparents?" Dickie asked Mo hopefully, making her roll her eyes.
"We're still deciding!" Carl cut in before Mo could snark him.
"We picked ours," Sam smiled small, rubbing her belly and looking to Eli who gave her a nod.
"Well?!" Dickie asked, staring through his brother's soul.
"Well, Joey's of course will be Katie and Beau, and…" she trailed off looking up to Eli again. "EJ's will be Dickie and Maureen, but only cause you two aren't Catholic yet," he pointed to Noah and Emma who shrugged in dramatic defeat.
"Oh Eli," Mo said, getting emotional and moving to hug him. "This is such an honor!"
He chuckled and hugged her tightly as Dickie sniffled. Sarah playfully nudged him and Carl laughed, rubbing Mo's back. "You both are already Teddy's Godparents, why the emotions?"
"Well cause we might actually see EJ be baptized," Dickie said casually before shooting El and Liv a look.
"There it is," El nodded and Liv laughed. "Yeah we should probably schedule that."
There was a resounding chorus of "duh" and "you think" that made them laugh a little harder. El took Teddy from Noah and kissed his cheek.
"Should we plan your Baptism? Huh?"
He gurgled and then happily squealed, and El laughed. "Alright, alright. Mommy will plan it."
"Hey! Daddy has a phone too!" She laughed.
"Big brother will plan it," Dickie said, tossing his hands up.
"Bout time you did something useful," Bernie shot with a laugh, sending everyone into uncontrolled laughter.
The family settled down into quieter conversations as Ted and Anna Kate drifted off for their naps.
Eli was sat on the floor next to his dad, both leaned against the couch, and chatting about nothing as Sam and Liv did the same.
Sam suddenly gasped softly and smiled, pressing her hand to the lower right side of her belly. "E…"
He looked up from his spot, slightly panicked, and she laughed. "I'm fine just… feel," she smiled, taking his hand and pressing it to the spot she was just at.
Smiling, he laid his head against her leg and belly, kissing it gently and laughing at he felt the strong movements on his face and hands.
"Jeez guys relax… gonna hurt mama," he laughed softly and Liv smiled, leaning against El as she watched.
"Cap, papa… come feel," he said, motioning for them and sitting back.
They happily obliged him and El and Liv smiled when they felt the movement.
"Look at that… our grand babies," Liv cooed and El wiped his eyes quickly. "This is the best," he sighed happily making the young parents laugh.
"I hope they look like Sam," Eli said smiling small.
She let out a soft giggle. "I don't know… you were a cute baby."
"And you looked exactly like your dad," Liv added, gently rubbing her son's arm.
"You guys will be just fine," El added and Liv smiled nodding. "I agree… but we do have to ask. What's the plan after they're born?"
They both nodded. "Thought I'd stay here though the first month and then we'll reevaluate. All my teachers said I could switch to online for spring," he nodded. "Coach is fine with me taking month one-two off but. I mean yeah I guess I'll just… I'll do whatever Sam needs of me if.. if that's okay with you guys?" He asked his parents who both nodded.
"I think that's a good idea," Liv nodded, smiling at her son's new maturity. "And what about you two.. what's this?"
Sam bit her lip and Eli nodded slowly. "We're…" he trailed off, looking up to her. "Enjoying each other's company and this experience of… you know Sam being pregnant and... just enjoying welcoming our babies into the world," he breathed out, emphasizing the "our."
"Yeah there's been so much," Sam nodded, "and now we only have a few months left to enjoy it and each other before our lives change so..." she trailed off and he gave her hand a gentle squeeze.
"We're good," she added, looking to her second set of parents. "I promise and… it's nice having him around… for them you know," she added quickly, making El smile a bit.
"We support you guys… in whatever relationship that looks like. Okay?"
They both nodded and Sam smiled small, wiping her eyes. "Thank you for helping today… I feel so much less stressed."
"Wouldn't have missed it for the world," Liv said and El nodded in agreement. "Or a stomach bug," he said, making them laugh.
It was close to Teddy and Anna Kate's bedtime when everyone headed out. Dickie gave his younger brother an extra long hug, feeling emotional about a lot of things and laughing at Eli's gentle teasing.
When everyone had gone, Eli stood in Joey's room looking around for a while before going to EJ's and doing the same. He smiled small when he felt Sam's arms wrap around him from behind.
He covered her arms with his and she leaned against his back, sighing happily.
"Daddy looks good on you, E," she smiled and he breathed out a laugh.
"Nothing is better than mommy on you," he smiled and, now it was her turn to laugh.
"I look like I ate 3 of me."
Turning in her arms, he looked down at her and shook her head. "You're beautiful… really."
"You have to say that."
"No I don't," he countered. "You're so beautiful," he said, brushing the stray hairs from her pony behind her ears. "I'll always think that. I hope our baby girl looks just like you... oh man I'll be a goner," he breathed out a soft laugh and rested his chin on top of her head when he pulled her in for a hug.
"Bath?" She asked softly and he nodded, smiling. "Cmon…"
"I want them out so bad," she laughed softly as he helped her waddle into the bathroom.
"I can't even imagine," he said, helping her sit in the chair they'd brought into the bathroom.
She watched him turn the bath on, and when he turned back around, she'd discarded her shirt and was taking off her bra.
"Need help?"
She nodded and leaned forward into him, inhaling his scent as he unhooked her bra.
He paused when he felt her hands trail up the back of his legs and then forward to the button on the old jeans he'd worn to paint.
"Sam," he croaked, already embarrassingly hard against her breasts.
"Can I take care of you?"
"Y-you don't have to," he shook his head and she bit her lip, wide and needy eyes looking up at him. "I want to."
He was speechless as she unzipped his pants and pulled them down, allowing his cock to spring free.
"You don't have to," he said again and she shook her head, gripping him and kissing his tip softly. "I've missed you… the way you taste and the way you look at me," she purred and his breath hitched.
His head lolled back as she took him fully in her mouth, his mouth opening as moans and groans and praise fell from it.
"Shit Liv that's…. Uhng…. Fucking…."
El groaned, covering the back of his wife's head with his hands and reveling in the happy hum she emitted when her nose touched his pelvis.
"Fuck I missed you this week," he muttered, bunching her hair in a makeshift pony and twisting it back with a gently pull.
"That's it… oh you… fuck babe," he grunted. "I don't wanna cum without you," he shook his head, but she just sucked harder and swallowed around his length.
His eyes were to the sky as he firmly gripped her hair and his hips jolted, pushing his cock deeper down her throat.
She choked a bit, and he eased up, allowing her pull back and catch her breath before taking him again at a merciless pace.
"I'm gonna… fuck Liv I'm gonna…"
His words died off as sensation overtook him and his orgasm shot through him like a rocket, ending in hot cum dousing his wife's face a tongue.
He growled at the site and nodded for her to lay back.
They were in the middle of their bathroom with the shower running and both doors locked in effort to drown out their moans.
With a raised brow, she did as he asked and gasped loudly when his tongue a several day old beard got to work immediately at her most sensitive area.
"Ohhhh…."
"…. Dickie yes!" Sarah cried, back arching off their bed as he brought her higher than she'd been in weeks and then coaxed her down.
Her gentle hands tangled in his neat hair and she whined softly.
"Baby…" she asked softly, nodding towards the visible bulge in his sweats when he knelt up before her.
Since the miscarriage, things had been weird.
Sex felt like a terrible reminder of their baby they'd never know, and they were both too emotionally exhausted for anything else.
But that night, after a day with family and siblings and future nieces and nephews, something changed for both of them, and the minute Dickie had put Anna Kate in her crib, Sarah was willing putty in his fingers.
"C'mere,' he said softly after ridding himself of his garments.
"I wanna get married," she blurted out when he'd entered her.
"I do too," he said, calmly and surely, like he'd said it 100 times before.
"Let's do it," she whispered hopefully and he nodded. "Tell me when and where."
"You'll be there," she asked, her light brown hair that splayed on the pillow behind her making her look angelic.
"Always."
Eli was laying in bed, sipping a glass of bourbon with a still naked Sam sleeping against him when his phone buzzed with a message in the "Bros & Dad" chat.
D: You guys wanna make breakfast for our girls at mom and dads after church tomorrow?
El: I love it! Eli, Sammi ok with church?
E: Yep! She actually told me her friends and their families were trying to get her back.
N: Yaaay.
N: Wait who's my girl
N: Oh Emma duh
N: Don't tell her I said that.
E: Bud I have to
D: Yeah I mean come on
El: Lolol.
He sent a picture of the bourbon he was sipping on, careful to not get his boy's very naked mother in the photo. She was dead to the world against him, having been boarder-line catatonic after he made her cum and squirt with his mouth, and then again with his cock.
El: Woodford you guys got me for Christmas. Super good!
Eli laughed to himself and sent a picture of his own glass.
E: Some super southern bourbon from Beau. It's really good!
Dickie was next, unbeknownst to him, in the same position as his brother and father.
D: 20 year Scotch from the father in law. I win!
All three older men laughed out loud, making their girls stir ever so, when Noah sent a picture of his water bottle covered in sports stickers.
N: Tap water, 20 minutes ago.
D: Noah hahahahah
El: Oh I love you buddy!
Eli: Now that was funny! Love you guys. See you tomorrow!
El: Love you boys- so much!
D: Love you guys!
N: Peace
N: Jk love you.
Liv and Emma were thrilled to have a morning with their boys and the "other Stabler daughters," both noting and making eye contact to further discuss the quick peck on the lips the young parents gave one another during Peace.
When they got back home, the four settled in the living room while Anna Kate and Teddy played on the floor between them.
Liv watched her husband start to prep things while the boys changed, and hum softly to himself.
It was his tell that he'd been extra satisfied with the previous night's sex and was feeling super mushy towards his wife.
Sarah noticed, but turned her attention back to the babies when they started giggling at one another.
Soon, Eli and Dickie joined their father, both in cooking and humming their own tunes. All three Stabler men looked light as feathers and kept stealing doe-eyed glances towards their partners.
Sam caught on, too, and when Emma excused herself to use the bathroom, the three women looked at one another with knowing smiles and blushes.
"That Stabler gene," Sam muttered, rubbing her belly softly as Sarah and Liv laughed.
"It's a strong one for sure," Liv agreed with a smile.
"Good thing they have us to mix it up," Sarah winked, making the three laugh and the boys look up with big goofy smiles.
"Good thing," Liv nodded, glancing back at her smiling husband and blowing him a kiss.
He made a dramatic move to catch it, only to have the boys roast him immediately, sending the room into uncontrollable laughter.
