Prologue:
"Master Max." He heard someone calling him. "Master Max."
Slowly opening his eyes, due to someone calling him. It was his House-elf. "What is it Dobby? Did something happened?"
"Look, look." He's waving something in his hand. He quickly noticed to be a letter.
"Is that... What I think it is?" He asked him.
Dobby then handed the letter to him and he open it right away.

"It's my acceptance letter." He spoke with a smile as he was looking forward to this day for some time. "Finally."
"Master Max is finally going to school. Would you like Dobby to prepare your favorite to celebrate." Dobby asked his master.
"Yes please." Max replied.
Dobby just turned around and left Max's room.
Max quickly got off his bed, and straightened himself. The day was bright and he was in a very good mood. He steps on the carpet of his room and goes to the bathroom in order to wash himself a bit. He washes his face and checks his blue-green eyes in order to see if there was any bags under them due to sleeping late. Before parting his golden blond hair on the left side and combing straight across to reach his ear top level on the right side.
After he finished, he left the bathroom to get dressed. He put on a button up white shirt, black trousers and black shoes. Then he left his room to eat breakfast.
One of the downsides of living on a castle, is the fact that you need to do long walks in order to get to one place to the order. Currently, Max was walking down the hallway that had the portraits of his ancestors on the wall. It started with his ancestor, Antioch Peverell and it ended with the portrait of his late father, Alistair Peverell.
"Good morning Maxwell." Each of the portraits gave him good morning.
"Morning." He said in return.
After passing through the hallway, walked passed the training room where he did his magic practice.
Then the collections room where his late grandmother kept her trophies, like the skin and bones of the creatures that she fought which earned her the nickname of Deadly Raven due to her killing several dangerous creatures by herself and because she was a animagi that could turn into a Raven.
And at last, he passed through the artifacts room. Where the magical artifacts that his family as collected over the centuries are kept.
Then he finally arrived at the main room where his breakfast was on the table. His favorite food for breakfast, was scrambled eggs and bacon with orange juice. Dobby was besides the table waiting for him.
"Where's my grandfather?" Max asked him.
"Master Angelo left early today." Dobby answered him. "He had a meeting with Lord Malfoy."
"He's probably gonna try to convince my grandfather to do something that he wants, but grandfather did say that it was a price that every Minister of Magic has to pay." Max replied as he knew that every time Lucius Malfoy wanted something from his grandfather, he would call a meeting. The Peverell's were the only family that actually surpassed the Malfoy family in terms of Wealth amd Influence. "Besides my acceptance letter, was there any other?"
"Two, Master Max. One from Draco Malfoy and the other from Daphne Greengrass." Dobby told him.
"Probably, saying that their letters also arrived. " He replied. "Put them on the table in my room, I'll read them later." He told him as he finished his breakfast.
"Expelliarmus"
After finishing his breakfast, he decided to practice on the training room on mechanical dummy. Max was wondering what his wand is going to be like, as he's been using his father's wand for practice since he could remember. His father's wand was a Alder wand, of twelve inches with a Thunderbirds's tail feather. He always found the wand ugly but very effective. Apparently, it was a Thunderbird that his grandmother hunted that the feather came from. But his grandfather never confirmed the story.
After using the Expelliarmus, he tried to trasform the mechanical doll into something. "Duro" It worked as the doll turned completely into stone. "Evanesco" Then he used the Vanishing Spell, making it dissaper completely.
The training room was a exceptionally complex room, filled with obstacles and targets to develop both athletic and dueling skills. This room is a century old, but still exceptionally effective.
"Master Max, Master Angelo is back." Dobby inforned him as he appeared behind him.
"Where is he?" Max asked.
"In the solar."
"Great, put the wand back where it belongs please." Max told him as he handed him his father's wand.
"Right away, Master Max." Dobby replied before leaving the room with the wand.
Max after his training, decided to go break the news to his grandfather. Who was no doubt, reading some of his tedious letters from the Ministry.
He approaches the door of his solar and knocks on it.
"Come in." He heard his grandfather speaking.
He pushes the door opening to see his grandfather sitting on his chair behind his desk reading a newspaper.
His solar was a small but very comfy room. It had a big window with a great view of the mountains, a fireplace with a portrait of another one of his ancestors hanging above it, a bookshelf filled with books and a desk with a very confy chair behind it and two wooden desks on the front.
He puts the paper down before speaking to Max. "Good evening Maxwell, sorry I wasn't here for breakfast."
"It's okay, what did Lucius Malfoy wanted this time?" Max asked before sitting down in a chair on the other side of the desk.
"He wanted to discuss the possibility of a business proposition between himself and
Goyle." He explained.
"Gregory's father? What was the proposition?" He asked again. Max had a dislike for Gregory Goyle, considering him an idiotic gorilla looking boy.
"It would take too long to explain, let's talk about something else as I didn't find that meeting to be pleasant at all." His grandfather replied, not even trying to hide his annoyance.
Maxwell, prefering not to upset his grandfather decides to do just that. "Well, if that's the case." He reached for his pocket where he put the letter. "Guess what arrived today."
"Don't tell me... Is it what I think it is?"
He pulls out the letter from his pocket and gave it to him. His grandfather quickly grabbed the letter and the first thing he did once he read was to cheer. "HA! The day has finally come." He spoke in pure joy. "A new Peverell will finally set foot on Hogwarts." He spoke with a lot of pride in his voice, which Max just smiled ib response.
"I'm gonna need to go buy the school supplies." Maxwell spoke.
"We, gonna have to go buy the supplies, there's no way that I'm not gonna go with you." He stated.
"But... what about the Ministry? " He asked in confusion as his grandfather worked a lot as the Minister of Magic.
"The Ministry be dammed, I'm not losing this special moment in order to hear another complain from someone in the department. I didn't lose for Alistair and I'm not losing for you." He spoke with a lot of conviction.
But the mention of Maxwell's late father brought a bit of sadness in him. His grandfather quickly noticed.
"Sorry, I shouldn't hav-"
"No , It's okay... It's just... I wish he was coming too." Maxwell told him with a weak smile.
"He would have been as anxious as I am right now, him and your mother." He told him.
His grandfather then rose it frim his chair and walked towards the fireplace. "Dobby, bring us a bit of tea please." He politely ordered his House-elf.
"Yes, Master Angelo." Dobby, who was by the door, said.
Maxwell then stood up and stood besides his grandfather.
"Professor Dumbledore will be very pleased to have another Peverell on the school. " He told him.
"You mean Headmaster Dumbledore." Maxwell correct him.
"Yes... He will always be Professor Dumbledore for me, he taught me everything I know." He explained to his grandson. "He will be very pleased when you're sorted into his former house, just like he was with your father."
"But... what if I don't end up in Gryffindo?" He asked.
A short pause ensured in the room. Before both Grandfather and Grandson started to laugh out loud.
"Hahahahahaha." Both laughed at what Maxwell just said.
"That was funny." His grandfather answered. "A descendent of Gordric Gryffindor himself not being in his house." He stated.
The portrait that was hanging above the fireplace was a portrait of Gordric Gryffindor. The Peverell's had blood ties with the Gryffindor family through the female line, which made them the last known descendents of the Gryffindors.
Soon enough, Dobby returned with the tea and some biscuits that Maxwell liked. Both Grandfather and Grandson just sat back on the chairs and kept talking about Hogwarts.
Dear Maxwell.
My Hogwarts letter has finally arrived, which led to a positive reaction from my parents. Or as positive as it can get with my father.
Have you letter arrived?
If yes, let's meet tomorrow on Diagon Alley.
If no, let's meet anyway but in my house. Although you better prepare yourself for some professional boot licking fron my father.
Daphne.
Maxwell finished reading Daphne's letter which was really anti-climatic but he knows that she's a straight to the point type of girl.
He then picked Draco's letter.
Dear Maxwell.
My acceptance letter is finally here, honestly I'm dissapointed, since my father wanted to send me to attend Durmstrang Institute but my mother insisted that it was too far away. So I'm getting send to Hogwarts instead.
My father said that he made a business deal with your grandfather today. Do you know what is about? Father won't tell me.
Ps: Have you letter arrived too?
He finished Draco's letter which was just asking questions. Which the answers are yes and no.
Maxwell then wrote two letters to each before giving the letters to Dobby for him to send through the owls.
Then he layed on his bed to call it at night. "Good night mum and dad." He spoke to a photo of his parents thay he had framed besides his bed.
1976
It was a dark but warm night in the grounds of Hogwarts. Everyone was already in bed due to curfew, everyone minus one student.
A certain blond boy was in the top of the astronomy tower looking at the stars through the telescope. He was actually looking for an specific star and he wouldn't stop it until he finds it.
But unfortunately, his efforts were in interrupted by the sound of footsteps behind him. As he turns around, he instantly reconizes who it is. "Go away Lily." He told her without removing his gaze from the telescope.
"Alistair Peverell! what do you think you're doing?" She asked in a attempt to sound authoritarian.
Alistair just chuckled as she was the last person that he would ever be afraid of. "Can't you see what am I doing?" He replied sarcastically.
"Come on Alistair, you been acting strange all day. Sneaking out of the common room? You never did that before." She told in a very different tone from early.
"Actually, I been doing it since the second year." He replied to her. "This is just the first time you noticed."
"What?" She asked in confusion. "What are you doing here anyway?"
"Looking for the little lion." He answered while moving the telescope.
"The littl-" She tried to say but she was just too confused. "What?"
A silence started after she said that as Alistair was just too focused on his task. A small breeze of wind, blows through them. Making their hairs flow with it a bit.
Lily then took a deep breath before approaching him. She stood besides him before finally breaking the silence. "Al, what's wrong?" She asked while gently touching his shoulder.
Without removing his eye from the telescope, he answered. "Today is the birthday." He answered.
"The birthday of what?" She asked in a low voice.
"The third birthday of the day my mother died." He answered in low voice as well.
Lily's eyes widened at the revelation, as she was aware of his mother's tragic death at the hands of a Lethifold. "So that's why you were acting strange all day." She spoke him. But he didn't answer.
"Found it." He spoke out loud while looking at the telescope.
"What?" Lily asked in surprise by his sudden response.
"Look." He signaled for her to look at the telescope. Which she did.
The telescope was pointing to a beautiful constellation, which Lily thought it looked like a lion. "It's beautiful." She told him as she looked at it.
She then removed her eye and he quickly went back to look at it.
"But... why is it do special?" Lily asked in curiosity.
He stayed quiet for a second. Until he finally took his eye off the telescope and moved his gaze to Lily. He stared at her emerald green eyes with his sapphire blue ones before speaking. "Besides... hunting magical creatures, my mother loved astronomy... We... used to constantly look at the stars together, that constellation was he favorite." He explained to Lily, who just smiled at him sympathetically as a response. "She named the little Lion, which was her nickname for me." He told her with a weak smile that quickly vanished. "Sorry I... I look at it, when this day arrives since she died." He explained. "Look, just tell McGonagall that you saw me leaving the common room and I'll deal with her detention."
"No... Al, this is sweet, you don't need to be punished just for wanting to remember your mother." Lilly was quick to say. "It's better than your cousin's reasons to sneak out."
"Don't tell James about this, he's gonna tell aunt Euph and she'll probably try to talk to me about it." He was quickly to add as he didn't talk to his aunt or anyone else about it. Although he loves his aunt, he was just not ready.
"She was her sister. I'll probably wanna talk to my sister's son if he was sad too." Lily also add.
"The same sister that keeps calling you... that word." He was about to say but stopped himself before it was too late.
"The word is freak, and yes. But she's my sister and I'll always love her." She stated. "But fine I won't tell James."
"Thanks, and... Can you not tell anyone about this conversation as well." He requested her.
"Why not?" She asked out of curiosity.
"Sirius would tease me, saying that it was a date and James would probably get jealous and confront me about it." He was aware of his cousin's crush on the red head girl.
"First: Sirius should focus on his own dating life considering that he never stayed with a girl for more than a month. Second: If I was on a date with anyone, Potter would have to suck it up because I'm not interested in that arrogant toerag." Lily replied with a lot of assertion.
"As long as you are single, he will keep on persisting." Alistair informed her.
"I don't care, besides I-" She was about to say something but stopped in the middle.
"You what?" Alistair asked in curiosity.
"I'm... I'm interested in someone else." Lily told him, which surprised him.
"Really, who's the lucky guy?" Alistair asked as he needs inform whoever it was that his cousin will make his life a living hell for this.
"I'm not telling." She refused to say.
"Give me a hint them." Alistair insisted. "Do I know him?"
"Y-Yes." She stuttered a bit, which was surprising since Lily was a very confident girl.
"So I need to know now." He said with a smile. "Is he on the quidditch team?"
He then made bunch of questions and she answered all of them.
"No."
"Is he a Gryffindor?"
"Yes."
"Is he a muggle-born?"
"No."
"Is he a good student?"
"Yes."
"Does Sirius, Remus, Peter and James know him too?"
"Yes."
"Alright, I give up. Who is it?" He couldn't guess who it was. As all of the questions he gave, removed the candidates.
"I'm not telling you." She replied while giggling at his determination to discover who it was.
"Alright, just tell me this them... What do you like about him?" He was hoping that she would describe some trait that would help him discover. Alistair was determined to help whoever it was, since he knows how hopelessly his cousin fancies Lily and he felt sorry as whoever was the lucky guy that won Lily's affection would suffer for it.
"I... I like how mature he is, he's very brave and courageous, always standing up for others but... He's not afraid to stand up to his own friends like calling them out on their bad behavior. He's also very smart and... beautiful." She finished explaining to him and he was more clueless than ever to who it was.
"Beautiful?" That was the thing that stood out of everything that she described.
"A delicate type of beauty that you don't find very often. He's handsome in a traditional way but there's this delicacy to him that just... makes my heart beat fast." Lily explained to him while blushing and looking away.
Alistair was really confused. Who was this guy that can make someone like Lily blush like that. I guess James has absolutely no chance with her. He thought. "Are you sure you're not gonna tell?" His last attempt to discover.
"Not tonight." Lily replied. "But you'll find out soon enough." She said while looking away. "Let's go back to the common room?"
Alistair moved his gaze from her back to the telescope to look at the constellation one last time. Then he moved back to Lily and smiled. "Let's go."
"Come on then, Heir of Gryffindor."
"I hate being called that. "
"I know."
The blond haired boy and red headed girl then started to walk besides each other to return to the Gryffindor common room.
