Al hears the trembling pain from his brother being stabbed in the back. He goes berserk and destroys every thing all the building and all the people. But from it all he saves his brother and sacrifices himself to get Ed's life back and body knowing he could never come back. He had to sacrifice some of Ed's knowledge from the gate to get his body back. But as Al was doing that something must of went wrong Ed was alive but very week could barley breath and couldn't do any thing but lay there helpless. He had energy to cry out one last help but it was very weak and no one could hear it andEd died a slow and painful death.
