AN: Sunny Lighter gave me this idea to use as a Bonus Scene for Tables Turned and I just had to use it. It's short, but enjoy!
Lloyd Garmadon had a little secret that he kept about himself at night when he slept. When his father had him captive at the volcano a few months ago, Garmadon had given him a plushie shark to sleep with. Lloyd didn't want his father to know that he actually liked sleeping with it, and had taken it home with him and slept with it every night. But he couldn't let anyone know about it, or he'd never hear the end of it, so it was a well guarded secret.
One night, Garmadon was invited over for dinner. They had Lloyd's favorite of dumplings. It was a nice evening spent as a family. Lloyd and Garmadon had played some board games and it got pretty competitive, especially with the game of Risk. Garmadon loved it since it was all about conquering. Even Koko had gotten in on it, and it was quite the battle as to who ended up with the most continents.
"No fair!" Garmadon whined. He couldn't believe he had lost to Koko.
Koko gave him a knowing smile. "It's all about strategy, Garm."
Garmadon huffed and folded his arms. He wouldn't admit it, but he admired Koko's ability and skill. She still had it.
They had played late into the night, and Lloyd was tired. "Well, this was fun, but I'm going to go to bed now," he announced.
"That's fine, honey. Garm, you can stay and sleep on the sofa bed if you want," Koko offered.
"Really?" Garmadon asked.
"Yes, really. It's late and it just makes sense," she told him. She wasn't ready to admit yet that she really wanted him to stay. It was nice having him around.
"Oh, right, of course," he agreed. He was very excited and hopeful that Koko was willing to let him stay.
Lloyd smiled and got ready for bed. Before climbing into his bed, he pulled out his plushie from under the pillow. He didn't want his mom to find it accidentally if she came into his room. He cuddled up with it and soon drifted off to sleep.
The next morning…
Koko and Garmadon put together a nice breakfast to surprise their son. "Would you mind getting Lloyd up, Garm?" she asked, after everything was put on the table.
"Sure," he said, making his way to his son's room. He slid the door open, only to walk into the most adorable thing he had seen in a while; Lloyd cuddling the plushie shark he gave him when he was in the volcano.
He covered his mouth from saying 'aw' so he wouldn't wake his son. Without thinking about the repercussions, he quickly took out his phone and snapped a picture of his sleeping son with the plushie. He then uploaded it to his Chirp account #myadorableson
It wasn't long before Chirp exploded with likes, favorites, shares and new tags like #cute, #omg, #photooftheday, #Iwantone, #instantlove, #repostimmediately, #GreenNinjasleepswiththis, etc.
Poor Lloyd, he had no idea what awaited him.
Garmadon offered to drive Lloyd to school to have a break from the bus. He scared quite a few kids and parents when he pulled up rapidly in his huge 4 wheel drive recreational vehicle. They had to jump out of the way.
"It's Garmadon!" they cried and ran away in panic.
"Dad!" Lloyd complained. He had been gripping the arm rests as if his life depended on it, which it kind of did with his dad at the wheel.
Garmadon cackled. "I've still got it! Have a great day, son."
Lloyd shook his head and got out of the vehicle carefully, having to step way down to get to the ground because the car was so high up. Garmadon drove off like a bat out of hades, making more people have to dodge out the way.
Once Garmadon was gone, students began to make their way back to where Lloyd was.
"Did you see the Chirp post last night?" One student asked.
"Of course! I reposted it like twenty times already."
"Can you believe it? I had no idea, but it's so CUTE!" a girl squealed.
Lloyd had no idea what these kids were talking about. He was also getting stared at quite a lot, but he was used to that and didn't think much about it.
As he came in the doors, Kai greeted him. "Bro! Why didn't you tell us?"
Lloyd frowned. "Tell you what?"
"Haven't you seen it?" Nay asked as she joined them.
"Seen what?"
"The latest Chirp post," Cole said, who was listening to music on his headphones.
"It's another viral post," Zane added.
"About what?" Lloyd asked.
"You," Jay answered. "We had no idea." The lightning ninja held up his phone and showed it to Lloyd. There was the picture of him snuggling with the shark plushie his dad gave him.
"NOOOOOOOO!"
AN: Poor Lloyd! He needs to check his phone more, or better yet, take away Garmadon's! I plan to do more of these once I get more ideas for it. I won't be posting next Friday, because it's Christmas Eve and I have plans. Plus, I have to write out the next scene. Thanks for reading!
