The Wanderings of Rulace

-Chapter 1: The White World-

In a white world far, far from the six-sided world there resided a god by the name of Hitogami. With him was an old man named Rudeus Greyrat. He was supposed to fade away into the mana currents but his status as one from the planet known as "Earth" would have it, he didn't pass away the normal way of the six-sided world because his soul was different.

Instead of fading into mana his soul just remained there in limbo for a while, he couldn't willfully do much of anything yet, but he could talk to Hitogami. His soul wouldn't be going anywhere for a while, he was trapped. Rudeus didn't exactly like Hitogami but there wasn't much else he could do, Hitogami didn't have much to do there either, but manipulate others on the six-sided world, who were awake. As three of his apostles were awake right now, he didn't have much to do. That day there was much bickering at each other but eventually they didn't have anything to talk about and Hitogami needed to talk to his apostles back on the six-sided world.

Rudeus eventually, out of boredom, thought about what he could do and experimented with using the magic which he once used in the six-sided world. There was a lot he could do, surprisingly, since he couldn't do anything the previous times when Hitogami dragged him here. This time he had the power of the body of Rudeus Greyrat, so he had mana and that's a lot of mana considering the body or Rudeus Greyrat had a Laplace aspect. He eventually started to make things that weren't already in this world. He started to wonder why Hitogami hadn't been making anything before, but then remembered that this entire world was already comfortable to be in. Hitogami mentioned it in one of their talks previously, "This world was made to be very comfortable to be in by the other gods, it's a good way to ease fools like you into a false sense of security, and get them to mess up very, very badly later down the line." He ended up trying to punch Hitogami after he said that. 'He deserves every bit of pain I can give him' Rudeus thought to himself.

Rudeus then decided to try making other pleasurable things from the six-sided world to pass the time. The first pleasure Rudeus decided to recreate was beer, he remembered the time when it helped him cure his condition. He also remembered the times he drank it with his friends and made a gauntlet while drunk. But most importantly if he gets Hitogami to drink some it might allow Rudeus to lead him into a false sense of security, so he tried it and was successful, this area is filled with Hitogami's mana which allowed Rudeus to use more mana than even when he had his body. The cost to make something out of the air here was higher than on the six-sided world, a lot more costly when making something with the exact composition of beer. Nevertheless, he was successful in making what he wanted. 'I could get some useful information out of Hitogami with this' he thought. 'Even if it's unlikely that Hitogami would be affected by it it's worth a shot'.

Rudeus had decided to try to get Hitogami drunk after he was done with his communication. Rudeus looked over to see what Hitogami was doing and saw him giving advice to one of his apostles. The image was obscured from Rudeus because Hitogami didn't want Rudeus seeing his manipulation of others, some kind of magic Hitogami used. With his newfound free time, he decided to make a table, no need for a chair if you can just hover-sit. As Rudeus tried to hover-sit Hitogami finished up his meeting and stared curiously at Rudeus.

-Hitogami POV-

"Hey Rudeus, what's all this for? Gonna try to drink me to death?" Hitogami gestured at Rudeus while seating on the opposite end of the table from Rudeus.

Rudeus finally managed to seat himself before saying, "Nah, just got bored and tried making a few things to lighten the mood between us, I don't want to spend… Years? Decades? Centuries? However long I'm going to be here for with someone I can't stand." Hitogami glared at him, he hadn't had anyone willing to accept him after deceiving them… He didn't know what to think about the situation now.

Rudeus could see Hitogami's shocked expression at the gesture, had he made a mistake? Did Hitogami catch onto his plans? Despite this he continued with his plan to drink Hitogami into giving him information. He pushed a drink to Hitogami hoping that it would work.

As he wanted, Hitogami drank from the cup handed to him. 'Success!' He just needed to hope that Hitogami wasn't immune to the effects of the beer. 'Orsted had a ring that made him immune to poisons, so it wouldn't surprise me if Hitogami had something like that as well.' This was never a worry for Hitogami, not since there were six worlds and the gods to go with them. No one was capable of giving Hitogami a drink unless they were about to die. As such he never needed immunity to anything of this sort.

Hitogami was drunk after a few drinks, or so it seemed. Once he was drunk Rudeus started asking him questions like, "How could one get from here to the other world? As someone from Earth it always intrigues me how you communicate back and forth." Rudeus wanted to know Hitogami's way to communicate across such a vast distance, he had the internet in his past life, but he never sent high quality live footage across planes of reality.

Hitogami slowly, carefully answered Rudeus "I use my vast amount of mana to make a current of mana form a connection -hic- connecting someone's subconscious…" Hitogami knew that drinking was something that could be used to put someone into a false sense of security, he had seen it with foresight but nevertheless wanted to try it out on this one chance he had. He wanted to convince Rudeus that his information was valid so he could get Rudeus to fall into his plans. He wanted Rudeus to be reborn in the same body that Laplace was going to be in, this would give Laplace an extra layer of 'soul armor' as he liked to dub it. By putting new souls into Laplace's body, he could make Laplace even more insane and make it so Orsted would have a tough time getting into this realm. As such he was giving Rudeus information that would lead him into Laplace's new body. He couldn't see how Rudeus' soul was going to affect Laplace, but in the past, putting more souls into Laplace was very effective for his goals. He got to see Laplace go crazy and it obstructed Orsted's plans.

"Hmm… Interesting." Rudeus replied barely drunk himself.

"Well, you would need to tap into -hic- your Laplace aspect to do something like that." If Rudeus truly tapped into the Laplace aspect he would be thrust into the body Hitogami wanted him to be in. He just needed to show Rudeus how to tap into the aspect and convince him to proceed with his advice. To accomplish those goals, he needed to pretend to drunkenly give Rudeus advice. This would seem to Rudeus as though he wasn't thinking about the advice he was giving. Hitogami could see with his foresight that Rudeus could and would tap into the aspect if he convinces him properly. "Basically, just feel out your mana and use the full force of the aspect that has given you so -hic- much mana and connect it to the world."

Rudeus immediately attempts just that, he imagines that there is another plane of existence nearby and flows his mana there. Hitogami, unbeknownst to Rudeus guides Rudeus' mana towards Laplace's soul. 'It latches on just as the NEET's soul did to the unborn child of Zenith and Paul Greyrat. Eventually the souls combined together making it so that Rudeus appeared like this instead of the NEET's body. It's unknown how a combination of souls will react hitting another combination, but it should at the very least be interesting.'

-Rudeus POV-

As I successfully performed using the magic Hitogami drunkenly advised to me, my soul started moving towards whatever it latched onto. 'Wait, wait, I thought I was just going to appear in someone's dream like Hitogami does. I wasn't supposed to be moved into the other world right!?' Rudeus could feel his soul moving into the other world. As Rudeus was being reincarnated again Hitogami said one last thing: "Oh, I forgot to tell you to pull on the soul you grab, wasn't I? AHAHAHAHA!" 'Hitogami's laughing at this? Drinking really affected him more than I thought it would. I mean his enemy is literally rejoining the world to work towards his destruction again.'

Just as Rudeus was figuring out what was going to happen to him, now he realized that there was someone else invading his mind. 'Huh, that must be whoever I was attaching to there… I can't see them which is interesting. Maybe that's just part of how this whole ability works…? I suppose I should try talking to them like Hitogami does to his apostles.'
