The next morning, Ash was snoozing soundly in bed, his arms and legs all spazzed all over the place.
"Ash! Honey!" his mom called from downstairs but the young Ketchum was in deep sleep. In his dream, he was battling Lance, Steven, Cynthia, Alder, and Diantha all at once with his Pikachu.
"Pikachu, full-powered Thunderbolt!" Dream Ash said while donning his Alolan outfit. The dream Mouse Pokémon unleashed several bolts of yellow lightning towards the Champion's aces: Dragonite, Metagross, Garchomp -it was a dream so Thunderbolt did damage-, Volcarona, and Mega Gardevoir.
"All of the Champions' Pokémon are unable to battle! Pikachu is the winner! Therefore, Ash Ketchum is the winner and new Champion of Kanto-Johto, Hoenn, Sinnoh, Unova, and Kalos!"
"We did it, Pikachu!" Dream Ash cheered as Dream Pikachu leapt in the air before fist pumping.
"We did itzzzzzzz..." Ash muttered in his sleep before getting zapped by a Thunderbolt in the real world. He twitched before shaking himself up and saw Pikachu, his mom, and Mimey the Mr. Mime at the door.
"Sorry about that sweetie," his mom said, "But I thought you would want to get a start on today and meet your Pokémon's offspring."
Last night when Ash came home, he wanted to get to know his new Pokémon. He told both Professor Oak and his mom this and they were glad that he was willingly to stay around for a while. So for now, he was staying in Pallet Town for the time being.
Ash let out a breath before saying, "Yeah, I know. But did Pikachu have to shock me awake?"
His mom and Pikachu just laughed before Mimey just fixed the bed.
After getting dressed and eating breakfast -which was pancakes as his mom claimed were fit for a champion- Ash and Pikachu headed over to Oak's lab. Upon entering the lab, the Alola Champion and starter were greeted with a smoke bomb, courtesy of his Haunter. The Gas Pokémon laughed at his prank before Oak appeared, shooing the mischievous Pokémon's antics and informed Ash his only Ghost type loves to pull that prank.
Ash didn't mind, it was one of his Pokémon's traits after all. He just hoped the offsprings Haunter has weren't into pranks as much as him.
Speaking of offspring, Professor Oak gave Ash a new Pokédex, one that would help with identifying each of the baby Pokémon, since his Rotom Dex was left in Alola. Again, Ash didn't mind but now, he had to see what Pokémon he had. Oak informed him due to the plethora it may take a few days to get to know all the babies which Ketchum was okay with since he didn't have any other traveling plans at the moment.
Starting off with Bulbasaur, the Seed Pokémon had technically already introduced his children. But nonetheless, Ash took this time to scan them.
[Oddish, the Weed Pokémon. It may be mistaken for a clump of weeds. If you try to yank it out of the ground, it shrieks horribly.
Gender: Female
Ability: Chlorophyl
Moves: Absorb, Growth, Acid, Sweet Scent, Poison Powder, Stun Spore, Sleep Powder]
The Oddish he met yesterday proved to be really affectionate. She would always nuzzle against Ash's legs, earning a head-scratch behind her leaves which earned purrs from the Weed Pokémon.
[Bellsprout, the Flower Pokémon. Bellsprout's thin and flexible body lets it bend and sway to avoid any attack, however strong it may be. From its mouth, this Pokémon spits a corrosive fluid that melts even iron.
Gender: Male
Ability: Chlorophyl
Moves: Vine Whip, Growth, Wrap, Sleep Powder, Poison Powder, Stun Spore, Acid]
Bellsprout was gentle and a bit wobbly with his steps. The Flower Pokémon made Ash smile before recalling how its evolved form would often chomp on James' head. Ketchum hoped that wouldn't be the case for him if he chose to evolve.
[Nidoran male, the Poison Pin Pokémon. The horn on a male Nidoran's forehead contains a powerful poison. This is a very cautious Pokémon, always straining its large ears.
Gender: Male
Ability: Poison Point
Moves: Leer, Poison Sting, Peck, Focus Energy, Fury Attack, Toxic Spikes, Double Kick]
The male Nidoran proved to be alert but caring with Ash. Bulbasaur often had refrain him from his horn, since it wasn't currently untrained.
[Nidoran female, the Poison Pin Pokémon. Females are more sensitive to smells than males. While foraging, they'll use their whiskers to check wind direction and stay downwind of predators.
Gender: Female
Ability: Poison Point
Moves: Growl, Poison Sting, Fury Swipes, Tail Whip, Toxic Spikes, Double Kick]
The female Nidoran seemed to be the older of the two Nidorans. She was seemed strict with the male counterpart and rather not risk the chance of poisoning her trainer. She was still affectionate nonetheless.
[Shroomish, the Mushroom Pokémon. If Shroomish senses danger, it shakes its body and scatters spores from the top of its head. This Pokémon's spores are so toxic, they make trees and weeds wilt.
Gender: Male
Ability: Poison Heal
Moves: Stun Spore, Mega Drain, Leech Seed, Headbutt, Poison Powder, Worry Seed]
Shroomish was elated and ecstatic. The Hoenn Mushroom Pokémon was careful when it came to his spores as Bulbasaur must have taught him how to control them during their time at the lab.
[Foongus, the Mushroom Pokémon. The spores released from this Pokémon's hands are highly poisonous, but when thoroughly dried, the spores can be used as stomach medicine.
Gender: Male
Ability: Effect Spore
Moves: Astonish, Growth, Stun Spore, Mega Drain, Synthesis, Clear Smog, Sweet Scent]
Meeting the Unovan Mushroom Pokémon, Ash was careful since he remembered how Foongus caused a lot of damage to Iris', and Cilan, and his beginning Unova team. But his Foongus was not like that at all. Bulbasaur must have done some training with him since most of his children are mostly Grass-Poison types. The white mushroom liked to be cuddled, proving when Ash cradled him.
Charizard was more of stern parent but Ash couldn't blame him. After all, Charizard had a mixture of young and -in Ash's opinion- mature children. Even Gible looked up to the fully evolved Flame Pokémon, growing a paternal bond with him.
[Charmander, the Lizard Pokémon. The fire on the tip of its tail is a measure of its life. If healthy, its tail burns intensely.
Gender: Male
Ability: Blaze; Solar Power (Hidden Ability)
Moves: Scratch, Growl, Ember, Smokescreen, Dragon Breath, Fire Fang]
The small Fire-type starter took a lot after his dad when he was the same stage: aiming to please and never wanted to feel weak for a moment. Ash figured that the mother was Charla from the Charicific Valley.
[Dratini, the Dragon Pokémon. Dratini dwells near bodies of rapidly flowing water, such as the plunge pools of waterfalls. As it grows, Dratini will shed its skin many times.
Gender: Male
Ability: Shed Skin; Marvel Scale (Hidden Ability)
Moves: Wrap, Leer, Twister, Thunder Wave, Agility, Slam, Dragon Breath]
Seeing a Dratini as Charizard's offspring blew Ash away. He had another pseudo-legendary in his team. Something he was thrilled to have and the short serpentine-like Pokémon slithered around his trainer with much joy.
[Salandit, the Toxic Lizard Pokémon. Its venom sacs produce a fluid that this Pokémon then heats up with the flame in its tail. This process creates Salandit's poisonous gas.
Gender: Female
Ability: Corrosion
Moves: Scratch, Smog, Ember, Poison Fang]
Ash, briefly recalling Team Skull, didn't want anything kind of that reinforcement, even if it was her nature. The Toxic Lizard Pokémon was rather cunning and sweet with her trainer. Charizard had to be extra strict with her from what it looked like.
[Tyrunt, the Royal Heir Pokémon. This is an ancient Pokémon, revived in modern times. It has a violent disposition, and it'll tear apart anything it gets between its hefty jaws.
Gender: Male
Ability: Strong Jaw
Moves: Tackle, Roar, Ancient Power, Bite, Dragon Tail]
Again, Ash was blown away at the sight of another one's of Charizard's children. Personally, he always wanted a fossil Pokémon but for some reason, he never found fossils since Grandpa Canyon. The memory made him recoil since that was both a kidnapping situation. The t-rex Pokémon proved to be stubborn but liked to be pampered by his trainer.
[Druddigon, the Cave Pokémon. The red skin on its face is harder than rock. In narrow caves, it squares off against its enemies and charges face-first right into them.
Gender: Male
Ability: Rough Skin
Moves: Dragon Claw, Metal Claw, Dragon Tail, Slash, Crunch]
Seeing a Druddigon as one of Charizard's children blew the trainer away. He wasn't sure how that happened but accepted the terrestrial dragon. He seemed to be at an age of maturity given his size, reaching the average height.
[Dreepy, the Lingering Pokémon. After being reborn as a ghost Pokémon, Dreepy wanders the areas it used to inhabit back when it was alive in prehistoric seas.
Gender: Male
Ability: Clear Body; Infiltrator (Hidden Ability)
Moves: Astonish, Infestation, Quick Attack, Bite]
This Pokémon... confused Ash. He had never seen or heard of this Pokémon before. The Dreepy hovered around his trainer before nodding with approval. Ash patted the horns of the Dragon/Ghost-type who smiled at the affection.
"Hey, Professor Oak?" He called. The regional professor appeared, "Yes, Ash?"
"What's a Dreepy?"
Oak explained to him, "Ah, yes a Dreepy. A Pokémon native from the Galar region."
Ash grew more confused, "The Galar region?"
Oak continued, "Yes. A region with a gym challenge. The champion Leon has been declared unbeatable with his Charizard. It is also the region where dynamaxing. A phenomenon that occurs during battles that allows a Pokémon to grow to an enormous size and remain that size for a brief time."
Hearing about the Galar region got Ash thinking about going there. Maybe his next journey would be there.
As cool as Squirtle is, flashing his Black Glasses, his offspring found it slightly embarrassing. Ash just chuckled at his first Water-type Pokémon antics before scanning the offspring.
[Piplup, the Penguin Pokémon. It lives along the shore in northern countries. A skilled swimmer, it dives for over 10 minutes while hunting.
Gender: Male
Ability: Torrent; Defiant (Hidden Ability)
Moves: Pound, Water Gun, Bubble Beam, Peck, Growl]
Having fond memories of Dawn's own Piplup, he now had his own Sinnoh Water-type. Piplup was not-so stubborn with Ash like Dawn had, possibly due to Squirtle's teaching. The Penguin Pokémon seemed to enjoy being spoiled which the Tiny Turtle Pokémon had to put a constant stop to.
[Clamperl, the Bivalve Pokémon. Despite its appearance, it's carnivorous. It clamps down on its prey with both sides of its shell and doesn't let go until they stop moving.
Gender: Female
Ability: Shell Armor
Moves: Water Gun, Whirlpool, Iron Defense]
Getting closer to the riverbed, the clam-like Pokémon appeared before the trainer. Finding out the Hoenn Bivalve Pokémon is a female, Ash found she was quite precious. The clam Pokémon liked to have attention.
[Inkay, the Revolving Pokémon. It spins while making its luminescent spots flash. These spots allow it to communicate with others by using different patterns of light.
Gender: Male
Ability: Contray
Moves: Tackle, Hypnosis, Wrap, Pluck, Psybeam, Swagger]
Ash remembered during in his Kalos journey that James also had an Inkay. And he even remembered that one evil Malamar. But his Inkay didn't seem like he would turn down that path, evident in wrapping around his trainer's head.
[Amaura, the Tundra Pokémon. Amaura is an ancient Pokémon that has gone extinct. Specimens of this species can sometimes be found frozen in ice.
Gender: Female
Ability: Refrigerate
Moves: Powder Snow, Ancient Power, Icy Wind, Round, Mist, Aurora Beam]
Another fossil Pokémon in his team, Ash was glad to see. Amaura, while very freezing upon reaching contact, was very affectionate allowing Ketchum to rub between the head sails. While Squirtle is a pure Water-type, he did exceptionally well parenting the Tundra Pokémon. But part of Ash wondered how the turtle managed to breed with the fossil Pokémon.
[Shellos, the Sea Slug Pokémon. Subjecting this Pokémon to a strong force causes it to secrete a strange purple fluid. Though harmless, the fluid is awfully sticky.
West Sea
Gender: Female
Ability: Storm Drain
Moves: Mud-Slap, Harden, Recover, Water Pulse, Ancient Power]
The West Sea Shellos was very affectionate. She rubbed up against her trainer instantly. By accident though, she secrete the fluids mentioned by the Pokédex which was very sticky. Luckily for Ash, it was not harmful but just extremely sticky. Squirtle helped wash off his trainer with the use of a low-powered Water Gun.
[Poliwag, the Tadpole Pokémon. For Poliwag, swimming is easier than walking. The swirl pattern on its belly is actually part of the Pokémon's innards showing through the skin.
Gender: Male
Ability: Damp
Moves: Hypnosis, Pound, Bubble Beam, Mud Shot, Rain Dance]
Unlike most Poliwags Ash met, this one was more battle-hungry. Poliwag, lacking any hands, utilized his tail as a make-shift appendage. The tadpole was hopping all over the place which his father had to restrain him before getting to his trainer. Poliwag instantly hopped up and down with a more joyful personality, overtaking the serious attitude he had just a few moments ago.
[Chewtle, the Snapping Pokémon. It starts off battles by attacking with its rock-hard horn, but as soon as the opponent flinches, this Pokémon bites down and never lets go.
Gender: Male
Ability: Strong Jaw
Moves: Tackle, Water Gun, Bite, Protect]
The Snapping Pokémon lived up to his name, biting Ash's hand when first meeting. Ketchum cringed in pain but was partially use to it since Gible had chomped on his head many times. The snapping turtle Pokémon got reprimanded by the Tiny Turtle Pokémon for actions but the trainer waved it off, saying it was fine. Reading more, he found out this Pokémon was also from Galar, peaking his interest alot.
Ash remembered when he re-caught Pidgeot. It was right before his journey for the Battle Frontier. He mentally kicked himself for not using her for any battles since then. He knew she would have loved to have another fight. When he re-captured her, the Pidgey and Spearow feud had ended now having a nice community between them.
[Spearow, the Tiny Bird Pokémon. Inept at flying high. However, it can fly around very fast to protect its territory.
Gender: Male
Ability: Keen Eye
Moves: Peck, Growl, Leer, Assurance, Fury Attack, Aerial Ace]
Ash instantly figured out who was the father with this one. Seeing the Tiny Bird Pokémon brought unpleasant memories that Ash constantly kicked himself for doing stuff antics during his first journey. But he was a kid, he didn't know better. Spearow, however, didn't share his father's anger and playfully picked at the trainer's finger.
[Doduo, the Twin Bird Pokémon. Doduo's two heads never sleep at the same time. Its two heads take turns sleeping, so one head can always keep watch for enemies while the other one sleeps.
Gender: Female
Ability: Early Bird
Moves: Growl, Quick Attack, Rage, Fury Attack, Pursuit, Pluck, Double Hit]
Ash internally questioned about how his Pokémon mated, keeping it to himself. But he still welcomed the two-headed bird with open arms. The Twin Bird Pokémon was just as affectionate but a bit mischievous at times too. The two heads often ribbed against Ash's chest, loving their mother's trainer.
[Archen. the First Bird Pokémon. Archen is said to be the ancestor of bird Pokémon. It lived in treetops, eating berries and bug Pokémon.
Gender: Male
Ability: Defeatist
Moves: Quick Attack, Wing Attack, Dragon Breath, Ancient Power, Pluck, Quick Guard]
Being the third fossil Pokémon , Ash had come to suspect that some of his Pokémon had fossil Pokémon children. The ancient avian liked to hop around, being very ecstatic even though he couldn't fly at the moment. Pidgeot seemed to be teaching him some basic aerial moves, taking it slow with the Rock/Flying-type.
A/N: This is the first half of the Kanto Team offsprings.
No flames.
