Day 3

When Ash thought about his Tauros herd, he wondered if all of his Tauros had bred. Luckily, Oak said they had... which caused the Alolan Champion to sweat-drop, knowing that all thirty had fathered their own offspring. Oak also informed him that the Tauros were to the first to breed which made sense giving the fact Ash didn't use them until the Orange League and that was only one. Plus, the professor informed the bulk of his Pokémon offsprings came from the herd.

[Miltank, the Milk Cow Pokémon. It produces over five gallons of milk a day. The higher the quality of the pastures it lives in, the richer and tastier its milk becomes.

Gender: Female

Ability: Scrappy

Moves: Growl, Rollout, Defense Curl, Stomp, Heal Bell, Headbutt]

Miltank was one of the two offsprings the leader Tauros had. The Milk Cow Pokémon instantly took a liking to her trainer. Ash smiled and remembered how much of a powerhouse they could be. It made it inwardly shutter when he thought of Whitney's Miltank.

[Bouffalant, the Bash Buffalo Pokémon. Their fluffy fur absorbs damage, even if they strike foes with a fierce headbutt.

Ability: Sap Sipper

Gender: Male

Moves: Focus Energy, Fury Attack, Revenge, Scary Face, Horn Attack, Reversal]

Bouffalant was the other offspring the leader Tauros had. When Ash thought about, he had only encountered the Bouffalant herd and Alder's. The Unovan bovine was another powerhouse that Ash was glad to have. He recalled battling Alder... even if the champion had fallen asleep during their battle.

[Rattata, the Mouse Pokémon. Will chew on anything with its fangs. If you see one, you can be certain that 40 more live in the area.

Gender: Male

Ability: Guts

Moves: Tail Whip, Bite, Quick Attack, Focus Energy, Take Down]

When Ash saw the Rattata in the herd, he was confused upon seeing the purple Mouse Pokémon. Perhaps his Tauros herd had bred with many other species of Pokémon. And if so, how would the smaller ones not get trampled? He shook this thought out of his head when the rodent chattered with joy. Ketchum smiled, having wanted a Rattata since the beginning of his journey.

[Girafairg, the Long Neck Pokémon. Girafarig's rear head also has a brain, but it is small. The rear head attacks in response to smells and sounds. Approaching this Pokémon from behind can cause the rear head to suddenly lash out and bite.

Gender: Male

Ability: Early Bird

Moves: Double Hit, Astonish, Confusion, Odor Sleuth, Assurance, Stomp, Psybeam, Agility]

Being around Girafarig, Ash was able to better obeserve him. Ketchum did stay clear of the rear head, remembering what the Pokédex said. Upon further inspection, Girafarig was an alert Pokémon but nuzzled up to him without a problem. Even the rear head had a cheerful expression on its face.

[Eevee, the Evolution Pokémon. It has the ability to alter the composition of its body to suit its surrounding environment.

Gender(s): 4 Males, 4 Females

Ability: Adaptability

Moves: Covet, Growl, Tail Whip, Helping Hand, Sand Attack, Quick Attack, Baby-Doll Eyes, Swift]

When Ash saw the eight Eevees, he nearly fainted. He had always wanted an Eevee or their evolution line. And his Tauros herd had given him a chance. The eight Evolution Pokémon were hyper, affectionate, and all above adorable... even when they dog-piled their trainer when he got to them.

[Stantler, the Big Horn Pokémon. The curved antlers subtly change the flow of air to create a strange space where reality is distorted.

Gender: Male

Ability: Intimidate

Moves: Me First, Take Down, Astonish, Hypnosis, Stomp, Confuse Ray, Calm Mind]

Stantler seemed to be a bit older, possibly reaching his buck maturity stage. Ash approached with caution, remembering the powers of illusions the caribou-like Pokémon could perform. The Big Horn Pokémon didn't use such tricks and warmed up to the herd's trainer.

[Deerling, the Season Pokémon. The turning of the seasons changes the color and scent of this Pokémon's fur. People use it to mark the seasons.

Spring Form

Gender: Male

Ability: Sap Sipper

Moves: Take Down, Camouflage, Sand Attack, Double Kick, Feint Attack]

A Deerling is a Pokémon he wanted the moment he scanned it back in Unova. Ash personally wanted one for his team but he didn't want to catch too many Pokémon. The currently pink fawn himself was fond of Ketchum and pranced around in a happy manner.

[Vulpix, the Fox Pokémon. It manipulates balls of fire to catch its prey. If you raise one from when it's young, it will grow close to you like a puppy Pokémon.

Gender: Female

Ability: Flash Fire

Moves: Spite, Tail Whip, Disable, Quick Attack, Incinerate, Confuse Ray, Will-O-Wisp]

Vulpix adored Ash completely. She nuzzled up to her trainer's leg, earning scratch on her back which made her purr with joy. Ash couldn't help but smile as the Kanto multi-tailed Fox Pokémon was admired by her trainer.

[Alolan Vulpix, the Fox Pokémon. In hot weather, this Pokémon makes ice shards with its six tails and sprays them around to cool itself off.

Gender: Female

Ability: Snow Cloak

Moves: Ice Shard, Spite, Disable, Tail Whip, Quick Attack, Icy Wind, Confuse Ray, Aurora Beam]

Getting memories of Lillie's Snowy, the Alolan Vulpix warmed up with Ash like her Fire-type sister. The Ice-type was one Ash never thought of catching but given how he saw Snowy strong at her stage, he wondered what would happened if she evolved into a Ninetales.

[Ponyta, the Fire Horse Pokémon. It can't run properly when it's newly born. As it races around with others of its kind, its legs grow stronger.

Gender: Female

Ability: Flash Fire

Moves: Tackle, Tail Whip, Ember, Flame Charge, Agility, Flame Wheel, Stomp]

When Ash came to Ponyta, the trainer cautiously approached the Fire Horse Pokémon. Memories of getting burned returned to his mind and Ash was careful. But the Fire Horse Pokémon didn't burn him, making Ash relieved. The equine loved to run with the herd, making her feel like one of the Tauros.

[Galarian Ponyta, the Unique Horse Pokémon. Its small horn hides a healing power. With a few rubs from this Pokémon's horn, any slight wound you have will be healed.

Gender: Female

Ability: Pastel Veil

Moves: Tackle, Tail Whip, Confusion, Fairy Wind, Agility, Psybeam, Stomp]

When Ash met the Galarian Ponyta, he was knocked off his feet. The Galar region had regional variations to which made him even more excited to go visit this region someday. The Psychic-type equine was like her Fire-type sister, hyper and loved to run.

[Snubull, the Fairy Pokémon. It grows close to others easily and is also easily spoiled. The disparity between its face and its actions makes many young people wild about it.

Gender: Male

Ability: Intimidate

Moves: Tackle, Scary Face, Charm, Bite, Lick, Headbutt]

The Snubull in the herd was hyper, bouncing all over the herd, and anxious to fight. When Ketchum met him, the Fairy Pokémon warmed up instantly. The canine Fairy-type yipped with joy being pampered.

[Mareep, the Wool Pokémon. Mareep's fluffy coat of wool rubs together and builds a static charge. The more static electricity is charged, the more brightly the lightbulb at the tip of its tail glows.

Gender: Male

Ability: Static

Moves: Take Down, Cotton Spore, Growl, Thunder Shock, Thunder Wave, Charge]

Mareep warmed up, giving a light shock to his trainer by accident. Ash, having been shocked enough times in his life, was practically immune since only his hair just fizzled up. The Wool Pokémon flushed with embarrassment with his static but Ketchum waved it off, saying it was fine.

[Stufful, the Flailing Pokémon. The way it protects itself by flailing its arms may be an adorable sight, but stay well away. This is flailing that can snap thick tree trunks.

Gender: Male

Ability: Fluffy

Moves: Take Down, Baby-Doll Eyes, Payback, Endure, Strength, Flail]

Hearing the Pokédex description, Ash was careful when approaching Stufful. He had seen the Bewear that always saved Team Rocket defend her Stufful so that made him extra worried. But the Flailing Pokémon didn't hurt his trainer, yipping with joy as he was cradled.

[Chespin, the Spiny Nut Pokémon. The quills on its head are usually soft. When it flexes them, the points become so hard and sharp that they can pierce rock.

Gender: Male

Ability: Overgrow; Bulletproof (Hidden Ability)

Moves: Vine Whip, Rollout, Leech Seed, Pin Missile]

Meeting Chespin, Ash wondered if this would be similar to Clemont's Chespin. It was not as the Spiny Nut Pokémon proved he wanted to fight, making Ash glad he would have a potential Chesnaught in his team.

[Skiddo, the Mount Pokémon. If it has sunshine and water, it doesn't need to eat, because it can generate energy from the leaves on its back.

Gender: Male

Ability: Sap Sipper

Moves: Take Down, Vine Whip, Leech Seed, Razor Leaf, Synthesis]

Ash, personally, had always wanted a Skiddo. He never came across any wild ones so it was pretty rare. But now the Mount Pokémon was in the herd and Ash could have a Gogoat in the future. The goat-like Pokémon liked to run and hop around his trainer.

[Mudbray, the Donkey Pokémon. It eats dirt to create mud and smears this mud all over its feet, giving them the grip needed to walk on rough terrain without slipping.

Gender: Male

Ability: Stamina

Moves: Mud Slap, Double Kick, Bulldoze, Stomp, Strength, High Horsepower]

With Mudbray, Ash remembered how useful Mudsdales are and how strong they could be. Ash accepted the Donkey Pokémon with open arms which said Pokémon nuzzled and brayed with joy while knocking his trainer down to the ground due to his growing strength.

[Cubchoo, the Chill Pokémon. It sniffles before performing a move, using its frosty snot to provide an icy element to any move that needs it.

Gender: Male

Ability: Slush Rush

Moves: Fury Swipes, Endure, Brine, Frost Breath, Slash, Flail]

Ash didn't except to see a Cubchoo in the herd. The Chill Pokémon impressed Ash with the moves he knew, giving a determined glint in his eyes. Ketchum thought back to Brycen's Beartic and how strong he was. Now he could have the polar bear-like Pokémon himself.

[Swinub, the Pig Pokémon. If it smells something enticing, it dashes off headlong to find the source of the aroma.

Gender: Male

Ability: Oblivious

Moves: Tackle, Powder Snow, Flail, Mud-Slap, Ice Shard, Mist]

Swinub gave Ash such a great idea for a potential Mamoswine. He knows how strong Dawn's is so if he had the Ground/Ice-type with him, he would an absolute powerhouse. But right now, Swinub was like just a foodie which made Ash chuckle.

[Zangoose, the Cat Ferret Pokémon. Zangoose usually stays on all fours, but when angered, it gets up on its hind legs and extends its claws. This Pokémon shares a bitter rivalry with Seviper that dates back over generations.

Gender: Male

Ability: Immunity

Moves: Quick Attack, Fury Cutter, Hone Claws, Aerial Ace, Slash, Revenge, Crush Claw, Facade]

When it came to Zangoose, Ash found the Normal-type cat-mongoose hybrid a great addition to his team. The Cat Ferret Pokémon didn't have any aggression and liked to train with the herd.

[Teddiursa, the Little Bear Pokémon. It lets honey soak into its paws so it can lick them all the time. Every set of paws tastes unique.

Gender: Male

Ability: Pickup

Moves: Covet, Baby-Doll Eyes, Lick, Fury Swipes, Fling, Payback]

Teddiursa made Ash's heart melt. The Little Bear Pokémon was shy at first until Ash got him to open up. Ketchum smiled and began to think about a potential Ursaring on his team like with Paul.

[Meowth, the Scratch Cat Pokémon. Highly intelligent and prideful, it's famously difficult to handle–but that's also a reason for its popularity.

Gender: Female

Ability: Technician

Moves: Fake Out, Growl, Feint, Scratch, Pay Day, Bite, Taunt]

After many, many, many, many encounters of Team Rocket, Ash hardly considered getting a Meowth. But one of his Tauros had a kitten and Ash loved all Pokémon. This one was rather more willing to train and more affectionate, nuzzling against her trainer on all fours.

[Bidoof, the Plump Mouse Pokémon. It constantly gnaws on logs and rocks to whittle down its front teeth. It nests alongside water.

Gender: Male

Ability: Unaware

Moves: Headbutt, Defense Curl, Rollout, Growl]

Seeing the Bidoof, Ash was curious about the Sinnoh regional rodent. The Plump Mouse Pokémon was a Pokémon Ash never thought of catching but he loved the Sinnoh native rodent all the same. Bidoof proved to be a bundle of joy, cheerful while hardworking.

[Poochyena, the Bite Pokémon. It has a very tenacious nature. Its acute sense of smell lets it chase a chosen prey without ever losing track.

Gender: Female

Ability: Quick Feet

Moves: Tackle, Howl, Mud-Slap, Bite, Roar, Swagger]

Poochyena was active and alert while battle hungry. However, the Bite Pokémon was just as affectionate. The Dark-type got Ash hopes up since the Bite Pokémon could have the potential for a strong Mightyena.

[Lillipup, the Puppy Pokémon. This Pokémon is courageous but also cautious. It uses the soft fur covering its face to collect information about it surroundings.

Gender: Male

Ability: Vital Spirit

Moves: Tackle, Leer, Work Up, Bite, Retaliate]

Lillipup was just as alert as Poochyena and hyper as Snubbull. The Unovan Puppy Pokémon pounced into Ash's arms before nuzzling his chest making the trainer laugh. When he thought about, a potential Herdier to Stoutland could work with him.

[Zigzagoon, the Tiny Raccoon Pokémon. The hair on Zigzagoon's back is bristly. It rubs the hard back hair against trees to leave its territorial markings. This Pokémon may play dead to fool foes in battle.

Gender: Male

Ability: Pickup

Moves: Growl, Sand Attack, Tail Whip, Covet, Headbutt, Baby-Doll Eyes, Pin Missile]

Hyper was a main trait that Zigzagoon had. The Hoenn regional rodent liked to run around, in-between his siblings, uncles, and parent. Ash had a hard time keeping track of the Tiny Raccoon Pokémon, but eventually reached him before the Normal-type just ran passed him. Ketchum eventually caught him with the help of Pikachu and the parent Tauros.

[Electrike, the Lightning Pokémon. It stores electricity in its fur. It gives off sparks from all over its body in seasons when the air is dry.

Gender: Male

Ability: Static

Moves: Quick Attack, Howl, Quick Attack, Thunder Wave, Shock Wave, Bite]

Electrike grew fond of Ash, nuzzling and giving a shock to his trainer. Ash cringed in pain before shaking it off. The green canine-like Pokémon licked his trainer cheek and nuzzled the chest, showing affectionate.

[Absol, the Disaster Pokémon. Swift as the wind, Absol races through fields and mountains. Its curved, bow-like horn is acutely sensitive to the warning signs of natural disasters.

Gender: Male

Ability: Pressure

Moves: Quick Attack, Leer, Double Team, Knock Off, Detect, Night Slash]

An Absol was a great offspring to find in his herd. Ash personally wanted one, even remembering that it can mega evolve. The Disaster Pokémon eyed his trainer before nodding with acceptance. This earned the Dark-type a scratch on his back, the mammalian Pokémon enjoying it immensely.

[Shinx, the Flash Pokémon. Its forelegs have a muscle-based system of generating electricity. Its body shines when it is in danger.

Gender: Male

Ability: Intimidate

Moves: Tackle, Leer, Thunder Shock, Charge, Bite, Spark]

Shinx yipped up and down with Pikachu, instantly connecting due to their Electric-typing. The Flash Pokémon worked his way over, sending a small jolt through Ash by accident like Mareep did. Ketchum shook off the pain before the lynx-like Pokémon rubbed his body against Ash's. The trainer had wanted a Luxray during his trip in Sinnoh but again, he considered Pikachu to be great.

[Growlithe, the Puppy Pokémon. It has a brave and trustworthy nature. It fearlessly stands up to bigger and stronger foes.

Gender: Male

Ability: Intimidate

Moves: Howl, Leer, Flame Wheel, Agility, Crunch, Fire Fang]

Growlithe tackled Ash before licking affectionately. The trainer just laughed aloud as the Kanto Puppy Pokémon continued to show his apperception. After getting the loyal Fire-type off, Ash began to rub his head and thinking about a potential Arcanine on his team. Ash had wanted the 'Legendary' Pokémon on his team for a long time.

[Fennekin, the Fox Pokémon. As it walks, it munches on a twig in place of a snack. It intimidates opponents by puffing hot air out of its ears.

Gender: Female

Ability: Blaze; Magician (Hidden Ability)

Moves: Scratch, Ember, Howl, Flame Charge, Psybeam]

The Fennekin was like her canine brothers and sisters, only she loved to be pampered. Ash had a few memories of Serena and her Fennekin before she evolved into a Braixen. He remembered that the Kalos Fox Pokémon loved to snack on twigs so he gathered a few and she munched away happily.

[Blitzle, the Electrified Pokémon. Its mane shines when it discharges electricity. They use the frequency and rhythm of these flashes to communicate.

Gender: Male

Ability: Motor Drive

Moves: Quick Attack, Charge, Tail Whip, Shock Wave, Thunder Wave, Flame Charge]

Blitzle was like his equine cousins, loving to run and Ash was fine with that. The Electrified Pokémon got along great with Pikachu like the other Electric-type Pokémon in the herd. Having the Electric-type zebra was a great addition to the herd and Ash was glad to have him.

When Ash got to Lapras, he re-called how he captured her during his Battle Frontier journey. He met up with her pod on Chrysanthemum Island. Out for a breeze, he saw the group before they veered to his location. The plesiosaur-like Pokémon nuzzled before wanting to be with her trainer. Ash obliged but he hadn't used her since. But Lapras was just glad to be on the team again. She had a great mothering ability obvious due to leading her pod from her time as the matriarch.

[Horsea, the Dragon Pokémon. Horsea makes its home in oceans with gentle currents. If this Pokémon is under attack, it spits out pitch-black ink and escapes.

Gender: Male

Ability: Swift Swim

Moves: Water Gun, Leer, Smokescreen, Twister, Focus Energy, Dragon Breath, Bubble Beam]

Horsea hopped out of the water, happy to see his trainer. Ash was able to pick up the small, blue seahorse-like Pokémon, which made him shoot a small cascade of bubbles. Ash just popped them and made the Dragon Pokémon cry with pleasure.

[Feebas, the Fish Pokémon. Although unattractive and unpopular, this Pokémon's marvelous vitality has made it a subject of research.

Gender: Female

Ability: Swift Swim

Moves: Splash, Tackle, Flail]

Feebas was bashful, hiding behind her mother. The Transport Pokémon nudged her along, reassuring her that it would be fine. Ash was careful with the brown fish, allowing her to get comfortable. The Hoenn Fish Pokémon soon was content with her trainer, even allowing him to scratch her scales.

[Spheal, the Clap Pokémon. This Pokémon's body is covered in blubber and impressively round. It's faster for Spheal to roll around than walk.

Gender: Male

Ability: Thick Fat

Moves: Rollout, Defense Curl, Brine, Powder Snow, Rest, Snore]

Meeting Spheal, the round pinniped-like Pokémon clapped in a joyful manner. He rolled around, which caused Ash to chase after him but the Clap Pokémon was rather fast when it came to rolling like the Pokédex said. Eventually reaching the spherical Pokémon, Ketchum was cuddled by him, having enjoyed the chase even though the trainer was out of breath like with Zigzagoon from the herd.

[Seel, the Sea Lion Pokémon. Covered with light blue fur, its hide is thick and tough. It is active in bitter cold of -40 degrees Fahrenheit.

Gender: Female

Ability: Ice Body

Moves: Headbutt, Growl, Water Gun, Icy Wind, Encore, Ice Shard, Rest]

Seel was like Spheal in a way but was rather not as agile on land. The Sea Lion Pokémon also wanted to be picked up, which Ash did before letting out an accidental Icy Wind in her trainer's face. Ash managed to shake off the Ice-type attack before rubbing her belly, making the white pinniped-like Pokémon laugh.

Snorlax, despite always sleeping, was rather fond of his offspring. He was aware of his weight so he was careful with his children, who all could potentially be powerful when evolved if they chose to.

[Lickitung, the Licking Pokémon. Its long tongue, slathered in a gooey saliva, sticks to anything, so it is very useful.

Gender: Male

Ability: Own Tempo

Moves: Lick, Defense Curl, Rollout, Supersonic, Wrap, Disable]

Lickitung gave Ash a sloppy lick, making Ash wash off instantly due to the saliva being smelly and sticky. After getting washed off, Ketchum scratched the pink skin of the Licking Pokémon, making him joyful that he was being scratched there and gave another lick to the trainer, much to his dismay and got washed off again.

[Aron, the Iron Armor Pokémon. It eats iron ore—and sometimes railroad tracks— to build up the steel armor that protects its body.

Gender: Male

Ability: Rock Head

Moves: Headbutt, Harden, Metal Claw, Roar, Rock Slide]

Ash managed to hold Aron, a feat that made Oak jaw drop to the trainer's confusion. The Iron Armor Pokémon liked being carried, evidence in the chirping. Ash knew that he would one day evolve into an Aggron, at least that was the plan. As of right now, the Steel/Rock-type was chirping with joy.

[Cranidos, the Head Butt Pokémon. It lived in jungles around 100 million years ago. Its skull is as hard as iron.

Gender: Male

Ability: Mold Breaker,

Moves: Leer, Focus Energy, Rock Polish, Take Down, Headbutt, Scary Face]

With Cranidos, Ash found the small pachycephalosaur-like Pokémon like to joining his father in snoozing. But the Head Butt Pokémon was also training himself, wanting to be strong. He constantly bashed his head against a rock which the Alolan Champion had to put in end to in case the revived Skull Fossil did damage to his skull. Luckily, it did not so the Rock-type cracked the rock into rubble.

[Shieldon, the Shield Pokémon. It habitually polishes its face by rubbing it against tree trunks. It is weak to attacks from behind.

Gender: Male

Ability: Sturdy; Soundproof (Hidden Ability)

Moves: Protect, Taunt, Metal Sound, Take Down, Iron Defense]

Shieldon liked to rub against trees like the Pokédex. He also favored ramming into objects... which was made clear when Ash's legs was on the receiving end. The shield-head impact caused Ketchum to cringe in pain. The Shield Pokémon apologized for his actions and got a nice back-rub from his father's trainer, which he crooned to.

[Whismur, the Whisper Pokémon. When Whismur cries, the sound of its own voice startles it, making the Pokémon cry even louder. It cries until its exhausted, then it falls asleep.

Gender: Male

Ability: Soundproof

Moves: Astonish, Echoed Voice, Howl, Rest, Sleep Talk]

Whismur let out a happy cry that made Ash and Oak cover their ears. The Whisper Pokémon covered his mouth after remembering how loud he can be but Ash assured it was not a problem... but preferred it to not be so loud. Unsure if he got his message, Ash just rubbed the head of the loud rabbit Pokémon. The mauve Pokémon had a look of joy on his face before letting out another happy cry before the trainer and professor covered their ears again. They both sweat-dropped before calling it a day with the offsprings.

[Slowpoke, the Dopey Pokémon. It lazes vacantly near water. If something bites its tail, it won't even notice for a whole day.

Gender: Male

Ability: Oblivious

Moves: Tackle, Growl, Water Gun, Yawn, Confusion, Disable, Water Pulse]

While the Water/Psychic-type is naturally lazy, he still had potential. Plus if he evolved, the Dopey Pokémon might become a powerful Slowbro or Slowking on his team. It was hard to tell if the Slowpoke accepted Ash as his trainer so Ash just agreed to disagree and welcomed the Water/Psychic onto his team.

A/N: This chapter was so long to write due to the Tauros' herd offsprings. But I'm glad I got it out. Now onward to Johto.
